Ahlissa Vaubel: Beautiful property. Slept so well, which is always a wonderful surprise in a hotel.Only thing I would change is the lighting in the bathroom. The bane of anyone needing to apply makeup is hotel bathroom lighting. Either change it or put a mirror in the living space by windows.
Toadnurse: Walking distance to everything, terrific service. Could have used room service for breakfast in bed, but the remote control shades were pretty awesome.Nearby activities: Theaters, shopping and dining, the river, renaissance center, and I'm sure more, but that was plenty for me.awesome ppl watching tooWalkability: Even if you can't handle walking far, the blocks are short, if something says 1/4 mile, that's door to door, or less.
Zachary: Hotel is loud, limited staff that is rude and not helpful. If you are a Bonvoy member - stick to the Book CadillacRooms: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Edward Jones II: This is my go to hotel in Detroit. The staff is great, the location is great, and the views from the room of downtown Detroit. The breakfast is really good too, the staff makes sure all items stay stocked through out breakfast. One of my favorite hotels to go to in the US.
Jeff Fillegar: Great hotel and location in Detroit
Hayden D. Roberts: The staff was very understanding of the situation that I was put into and was able to make my stay as nice as it could’ve went. The location is in great walking distance to anything you’d want in Detroit. 10/10 would stay again!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Christina Janek: My favorite place to stay when I'm in town for work. The rooms are spacious and well appointed - blackout curtains, full fridge and freezer, coffee maker in room, dishwasher and dishes, desk and office chair, and separate bar-height table and chairs for eating in your room. Add to that the complimentary breakfast (which is on point!) and the fireplace/lounge area in the back, plus being in the heart of downtown Detroit and within mere blocks of countless dining options, and it's a no-brainer that this place has it all.

Host Renegade: My friends and I stayed in this hotel for the movement festival and the rooms were very clean beds and sheets were very clean, and we even used the Valletta service and our car was in the best of hands. The staff was super friendly and very helpful and nice. Highly recommend this hotel.Nearby activities: Fun spots to visit.Walkability: Everything you need is within walking distance.Food & drinks: Plenty of restaurants and bars within the area.

Michelle Randall: Wonderful experience! Great location! Friendly staff!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
J A: Everything was broken from the internet to the bed. There was no safe in the room. The Gym the elliptical , treadmill and peloton were all broken so a complete waist of time. We were there for the AIST convention and the room was over $500.00 a night. We will never be back. The staff was very friendly is the only thing nice I have to say about this hotel. Oh yeah and dont bother with the breakfast at this place total waist.
Michael Sullivan: Let me start by staying the location is very good. If you are coming to visit Detroit for any sporting events, then this hotel is the perfect spot. The room I had was a nice size for 2 ppl, nothing special but it's comfortable enough. For shopping and visiting the downtown area everything is walking distance. So for the most part you will not need to drive anywhere. So I would say if you are looking for a affordable place just to lay your head, and want to see a football game or baseball game. This is the spot.
Sam Stott: Great location in the heart of downtown. Near Greektown, the casino, and the Lions and Tigers. Pleasant place. No bar or restaurant but lots within walking distance. Appreciated the blackout curtains on the window.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Thomas Albert: I can't believe they still don't have their restaurant open all day. DoubleTree nearby has a full time restaurant.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Jason Leopold: Great spot to stay for a concert downtown. We spent the weekend for a Saturday night concert at Ford Field. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Tobias Davis: My niece just visited there to do some school testing.Location: 5/5 …More
JJ P: Pretty clean some odd smells on bedding and the pullout couch was TERRIBLE , not a good sleep sleeping on springs popping thru, they need to get new pullouts.
Jacqueline Gray: Overall or stay was nice. Room was pretty clean, bed was nice, and the staff were excellent and the hotel is literally in waking distance to everything downtown. My only issue is that I don't feel like it was worth the price. The room is over $229.00 dollars, there's a $45.00 valet parking charge ( you can only park valet), $16.00 per person to eat breakfast, And they're a $85.00 holding fee that they return when you leave if you didn't do anything to ruin the room. So make sure you have the money to cover EVERYTHING including whatever you plan to do while here in Detroit. The place is a bit outdated and the restaurant on the property is closed. Yes it is in the pictures. But it is not open for business. So you'll have to eat elsewhere! I just don't feel that the hotel is worth the cost.Rooms: We were in the 10t h floor. So we had great view of the city. There is an motor cycle club coffee by who were pretty noisy. But it wasn't too bad.Nearby activities: Everything to near this bar if you don't mind walking.Walkability: Music Hall/jazz center is right next door. Greek center about 6 min walk. Also the Hotel casino within walking distance. There are restaurants all around that you can walk to.Food & drinks: There's a lot of places to eat and drink that are literally in waking distance. That's a major plus!!

Aloft Detroit at The David Whitney: what do users think?
C: Nice location and many amenities surrounding the hotel. However, ensure you carefully store all of your valuables, check the room and maybe even take a picture of your room before you check out to ensure you have gotten everything. Upon calling several times after my stay regarding my item, cleaning staff provided that they have not been found after providing details regarding where they were in the room.
Marcus: For this price, I think you would have a better experience staying in other places. We are travelling with a pet and we stay here for a night and The Henry Autograph Collection. First off, I’m shock that they don’t have complimentary water in the lobby and there is no breakfast. In our room there is a couple hours that we have hear loud music coming from somewhere. TBH, we could just come in and take a look at the lobby then leave.
Eugene Furman: Stayed for one night using Marriott bonvoy points. Was not only double charged for incidentals that were to be returned, but an extra fraudulent charge was made to my card after checking out. I’ve filed a complaint with bonvoy, and filed fraud charges with my bank. Staff at ALOFT unwilling to assist – kept hanging up or transferred me to voicemail of Julie & Jordan (managers) whose voicemail boxes were full. The hotel itself was ok-ish at best. Dirty glasses were served at the bar, propane wasn't initially filled at the outside patio, and service was very average.
Mathaiya Shanmugam: Suberb stay..Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Laurel owens: May 2023 reviewWe stayed for 3 nights and were treated to an upgraded room. A corner king on the 9th floor. The lighting is still weirdly setup in this room too but the view was wonderful. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful AND we were advised at checkin about maid service. I have adjusted my rating from 2 to 4 stars. Get a coffee shop and a good restaurant in those empty areas in lobby and I’ll give 5 stars 😊2018- We spent 2 nights in 2018 in this beautiful old building and were pleasantly surprised at all of the modern updates in our room. The valet parking was appreciated after our long drive and the staff was pleasant and welcoming. We were able to walk to Comerica Park within 5 minutes. It is quite expensive but we were happy to be staying within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.Sept 2022 ReviewThis was our 3rd stay here and things have changed! Our room was horrible - on the inside with only a view of the building - couldn’t even see the sky! The lighting is confusing and haphazard - the bathroom light switch is by the front door and the bedroom area has no overhead lights and very dim light over bed. We had no housekeeping service AT ALL over the three nights we stayed and when we checked out and complained they told us we needed to request it - which we were NEVER told! There is no restaurant or even a Starbucks there anymore; only a bar. The “free” water in our room had already been opened and so had the body lotion. There were 5 tissues shoved in the tissue box of varying colors. The front desk staff varied from very friendly to kinda rude.We are Marriott Elite members and are so dissatisfied and disappointed with how bad the room they gave us was.Probably will NOT stay here again
Derrick Osborne: This place is amazing! Very kind staff and I was fortunate to have a great view of Tigers stadium. Room 815Everything was great!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet …More
Heather Allen: Absolutely stunning hotel. Everyone from valet to front desk to F&B attendants were so helpful & kind. Jennifer in valet and Jordan at the front desk were particularly wonderful. Many thanks for the amazing service. Do no hesitate to book- excellent walkability and really neat area!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
BAJ Glass: I really wanted a great stay. A huge planned special trip with my son. 500 dollar stay to be at Aloft Hotel. Planned tigers game. Game cancelled and rescheduled tomorrow. Which cant afford another special night here. Then, my son is huge basketball fan so we can at least watch the NBA playoffs in the room. But unfortunately, the satellite TV does not work in the room due to when it rains. So we sit here, with nothing and no effort from largely empty hotel to assist or do what they can. Just very disappointing, cause we could've stayed at a budget hotel and received much more for much much much less. We'll make the best, but this will be a one time and one night stay unfortunately. In reply to the review.I do appreciate the response. I understand you think the weather was what ruined the event. Ultimately, the point of the staff never asking the simple question of is there anything we can do to help? especially the manager sitting at the desk, had zero concern for any kind of customer satisfaction. I did raise my review to 3 stars as I know reviews matter and the fact that at least there is an avenue that a customer can get some sort of response of someone that cares, does mean something.
Nichole Thomas: will definitely stay here whenever I’m in Detroit
A.M. Land: This was my daughter and I first visit to Detroit Michigan. I joined her as she attended Chlöe: The In Pieces Concert Tour at the Fillmore. The Aloft was the perfect location, walking distance to the venue and excellent eateries. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were absolutely amazing. They all clearly enjoy what they do. We were greeted with smiles and checked in expeditiously. They were accommodating, attentive and genuinely admire their roles. I cannot say enough about how Happy & Friendly they were. They provided things to do in the area, restaurant recommendations etc. Kayla, Desmon and Jordan are all assets to this establishment. They deserve every bonus, incentives and wage increases offered. Thank you for hiring such polite professionals! This Trio made our visit the most pleasant stay ever.Rooms: SpaciousSafety: Really appreciated the extra security measurement with the key card access for the elevator.Walkability: Near the Fillmore and other Theatres in the area.
Eric Bleecker: This is a copy/paste of my Trip Advisor review:The Greater Detroit Area suffered a power outage from Wednesday February 22 to the following Tuesday the 28th. My house was without power for five days until Sunday night. Anyway, I booked a hotel through Expedia and when I got there, I was told that the hotel was overbooked by third parties and even though I had paid, there was no room waiting for me. So I'm stuck downtown with a very cold fiance looking for a place. The next hotel we checked was also completely full.So I thought to myself, what's the fanciest, nicest hotel downtown that I can think of since we were already down there and all the hotels I checked in the suburbs earlier that day were also sold out. That's when The David Whitney came to mind. I had never been there though and went on a recommendation. We get there and I ask the concierge, David, if they have any rooms and explained the situation. He said they have a pending cancellation and if I'd like to stay and wait in the hotel bar, he would see what he could do. Well, let me tell you did he make it happen. My fiance and I got comped drinks and after about 20 minutes, our room was ready. The price for the night was 396 which included valet parking. Pricey but the building and room were fantastic. The David Whitney Building was built over a hundred years ago as a mixed office building. It got renovated about a decade ago into the 5 star hotel it is today. Our room was spacious and had a lovely view overlooking Woodward Ave. The room was divided in three sections, the sitting area with a couch and two chairs, table and TV. Next was the bathroom with an enclosed glass door shower that rose about 7 feet in the 8 foot shower. There was also a mini-fridge, coffee maker and glasses. Lastly was the sleeping area and it featured a King size bed as well as a desk and chair, a bench, TV and two night end tables. When we woke up the next morning, we were able to call the concierge from our room and book another night! Desmond helped us with that and did a wonderful job. He even told me that Aloft Hotels were a Marriot chain and I could use my Marriot Rewards! The price for the next night, which once again included valet parking, was 436. Access to the building is available 24/7 so you're not locked out if you stay our late on the town like we did Friday night.Aloft Detroit also has a hotel bar called WXYZ and the bartender, Kevin, explained that all Alofts have a bar called WXYZ, no relation to the TV channel haha. Drinks there are affordable and strong. I love this hotel and can't wait to stay there again, hopefully under better circumstances. I'd like to thank the entire staff at Aloft Detroit, especially David, Desmond, and Kevin for their service and hospitality. 10/10
Dan McMillan: From the personalized welcome to the spectacular views of Comerica Park, this is the best place to stay downtown. Centrally located and within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Thick walls result in a great night's sleep.Walkability: Short walk to Ford Field and Comerica Park.
Zach Mounsey: Beautiful hotel, great location, poor service. We had a rough night here - lots of rowdy partying on a weekend stay. The front desk offered to waive our valet charge. We still got charged. After several calls and emails to management, the charge still hasn't been reversed.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Charity Lea: We didn’t like the concrete flooring, the dirty throw pillow or bath rug! Our view was out of a broken window that overlooked the courtyard, which was kind of nice, but the surroundings of the hotel were odd, industrial looking. Had to pay for fenced parking.. The restaurant was closed.. No coffee pot or water bottles in the room.Noteworthy details: No
Jeff Stratton: All that and a bag of chips. Staying in The Rolling Stones suite. Amazing courtyard, full bar, coffee, luxury service and concierge, super clean. Perfect location.
Beth: We got catfished… the pictures looked nice online but the room itself was barren and bland. Bed was neither comfortable nor overly clean, throw pillow had stains on it. Bathroom was dusty and the shower head was so low, there’s no way it would work for anyone over 6 feet tall. Low quality toiletries and furniture. Both of our room keys didn’t work for two nights in a row (same thing happened to friends also staying in the hotel). Low ceilings in the hallway and stale/musty scent. Location is about a 30 minute walk from downtown/sports and I would not walk at night. Customer service was ok not great. At the coffee shop in the morning they put steamed milk in my friend’s iced coffee? Hard to believe this place has such good reviews. Overall strange experience, won’t be going back.
Daniel Pino: Layout/atmosphere*Boutique hotel; Detroit theme/artwork/photos; Burroughs Cafe (coffee/pastry); Red Dunn Kitchen; snack bar by reception; small court yard area; room - bare floor; standing rack/no closet; bottle opener on side of desk; refrigerator; safe; ironing board; parking - $10/day
Oya Akman: Very close location to Detroit downtown. Half an hour walking distance. Safe neighbourhood. Hotel manager and staff are very kind and friendly that I wanted to mention specificly. They are very nice to their guests. Because they think we are their guests not customers. My room was very clean and neat. I was surprised when I saw Turkısh hand made rugs in my room. My next visit to Detroit will be next year. I definitely will stay Trumell&Porter again. See u guys, it was my pleasure meeting you. Thanx 4 everything.

William Cook: This place needs better management. Check in I hadcuse electronic key on my phone as the line to check- in. Then did not work my last morning before check out. Room needs better housekeeping. Linens need replacing as some were stained and sheets were also stained. Escalator prices on different nights. I bought a milk in pantry and was charged different prices different nights. And when did Doubletree start charging for a cookie to go with my milk $3.00.As I had stood in line others got their cookies many two. I didn't stand in line too long as I went and used electronic key on my phone. This was the least friendly front desk I have ever met. It was like everything was an imposition everytime I approached the desk.
Soren Smith: The Hotel was beautiful, the restaurant staff was amazing, the 2 ladies that were there doing everything. The Front Desk staff that was there the day I was eva and an African American lady with black glasses, and a African American bald headed man. They all were bad . Including housekeeping, requested my room to be cleaned was told it was gonna be cleaned and me and my husband stayed downstairs in the lobby from 10 am to 2 . Went back to the room it had not been cleaned. Spoke to eva and the other lady just requested a set of towels and glasses she never came. The gentleman never came with the glasses or linens. My husband had to go get linens and glasses. Then we checked out and got triple charged. So if you need housekeeping request the day you check in. Wonderful hotel, honors member but they need staff. Front Desk Help. Restaurant help and housekeeping help. The Smiths....

They were kind and helpful… I couldn’t be more happier… they made my special day amazing…. It was clean and our room was very nice… if u ever need to host an event then ask for Karen she is the best….
Kevin Cahill (RUNKMC): Older hotel in a busy location is mostly setup for conferences. The traffic and parking around the hotel make this inconvenient to get in and out of the area. The rooms and restaurant show the age of the hotel. It works well for conferences.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5 …More

Linda Czaplicka: The entire front staff including Aubrey the “manager” should not work in customer services and should be sent for training. They were rude, derogatory and unhelpful. I will be taking my complaint further as these employees do not represent the Hilton brand. While these employees are running the show at the hotel I would not recommend to anyone, nobody should be dealing with snarky comments as a customer. To the actual manager please check your cameras and then post this clip for Hilton training of what not to do.

Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center: what do users think?
Linda Brazier: Just stopped in at one of the bars inside the Marriott waiting on my friend. This place is so over priced and they offer no clear ice for bourbon, they do not keep Patron refrigerated. I can go on on . Nope the Detroit Marriott is not worth it. The bartender was great though I feel sorry for the staff. They need more from the hotel to service customers.
sic “sicduk” duk: Great view and location, but pricey stay to pair with already premium priced room. No room service, costly yet limited breakfast and dining options, lots of walking needed to find anything. It was a good experience but likely not choosing this as a destination for future visits.
Dean Eiden: Near the heart of downtown Detroit. Perfect location right on the waterfrontRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Lovely Lynn aka Ms Unstoppable: Beautiful hotel and very helpful, courteous staff! I can't wait to visit the Marriott Hotel againRooms: Beautiful well decorated roomsNearby activities: This Hotel is in downtown Detroit near all of Detroit's downtown events RestaurantsSafety: Plenty of Security Guards! I felt safe during my entire visit at the MarriottFood & drinks: Everything was simply delicious
Drew Hirsch: Rooms could be updated and the checkin process improved. It took a lot of time to check in even though they weren't busy. Gym is nice and the hotel has great views. The people mover is attached to the building so it makes getting around Detroit easy. Heart plaza is right next door and Greek town and campus martius just a short walk away. Lots of near by restaurants.
Katie Prentice: I was the first time guest of this hotel about 2 weeks ago. I made the reservation, but my friend arrived before me because my flight was delayed. As a result of arriving after midnight, I was still in line after three others who arrived around the same time.I didn't manage to take any pictures of the room, but the room itself was a solid Marriott room. The beds were decent and they were plentiful pillows. Something I always appreciate. The bathroom was not exceptionally clean, I'd put it about it at meh, but the sheets and towels were fresh and we did have soap provided.Unfortunately, even after asking several times, during my entire 5-day stay, we only received housekeeping one time. The three times I asked at the front desk and gave them my room number, they told me that daily housekeeping should still be happening. Clearly this is an ongoing issue for this hotel. I was really surprised, because they could just as easily have said no, it wasn't included daily.Depending on the purpose of my travel, I'm potentially okay with less than daily housekeeping service (if I know in advance), only if there is an appropriate towel bar on which to put my towel. This hotel has one tiny bar in the bathtub area and a hook on the door. That's not acceptable for two or more humans who need to dry towels.I'm a relatively mellow traveler, but this was a very weird situation.I ate one time in the lobby restaurant for breakfast and ordered a pretty standard item and it was fine. Nothing special, but it was a good amount of food. The coffee was a little weak at the breakfast.Otherwise, I did visit the lobby bar one afternoon with several friends, and we experienced excellent service from the bartenders.I'm not sure what's going on with Marriott computers, but this appears to be 4/4 recent stays where my bonvoy points and nights were not credited to my account. I think it's because my friend checked in first and this somehow balled up my reservation. Now I have to wait 10 days to find out anything. The front desk staff are clearly overwhelmed. I believe they are doing the best they can, and every one of them was polite including arriving at midnight and departing later in the week at 6:00 a.m.I stayed here because this was the host hotel for an event I attended. I honestly don't know if I would go back voluntarily. The views are fun if you can look over into Canada; my view the other way into the city was interesting but nothing special. The architecture is fascinating, but if I return to Detroit I'll probably stay somewhere else.
Darrel Boos: I had to call the front desk dozens of times over the course of 3.5 hours just to get some toilet paper so that I could use the toilet in my room.Nearby activities: Allot of things to do a see nearbyWalkability: Allot of things to do nearbyFood & drinks: Nice restaurants nearby
shiquiona hobson: Very beautiful place to stay at but I’ve been calling since Sunday because my card was over charged and the lady who answer the phone put me on hold for a minute. I hung up and called back no answer at all . Even today I’ve been calling it just rings . This is very sad , hope they get they staff under controlRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Great value …More
Lori Wilson: Food service was horrible for the MDP Legacy Dinner. Food was cold.Service: 1/5 …More
Chris McKerrow: Really 3.5 stars. Check in often one's first experience with a hotel and needs improvement. Long lines and understaffed, while staff was very nice I was told at 3pm that check in was at 4 and room wasn't ready. I waited for a text until 4:30 and waited again in line only to be told I still didn't have a room. After making my case, the receptionist was able to find a room for me. Rooms were Marriott standard - comfortable and functional. Elevators are old and there aren't enough for the number of people staying here - and, one day I was on the elevator stuck between floors for a few minutes. I have to give the staff a shout-out - restaurant staff works hard in a busy bar. Receptionists are all very helpful but in the end it's a 3.5 star stay.
Nurgül Kılıç: The location is really nice, I definitely recommend you to stay
Carrie Adams: I’m a very mellow hotel guest. I don’t look for minor issues to complain about and let many things roll off my back. I’ve literally never complained at a Marriott hotel. Ever. This hotel is an awful example of the Marriott chain. One thing I cannot abide is consistent poor service. This Marriott is consistent in only one area. Bad service.First day, I had the great luck to get it wait in a super long check in line not once but twice. I had checked in via the app the evening before, as I usually do. I arrived before posted check-in time but wanted to drop my luggage while waiting for the room. After waiting in line for about half an hour, I was informed that a generic request I had added when booking (king bed, nice view if possible) would prevent the mobile key from alerting me to the room availability. No problem, they will call me as soon as the room is available. My phone number was confirmed, I asked about leaving my luggage, where I was directed to take it back down to a lower floor (where I originally entered) to drop off with bell services. The main entrance *does not* have any type of bell services signs and bell services is in a hidden side door. Really odd. The bell services person has been the only bright spot in this whole ordeal (isn’t that a sad statement). He was great and lovely in general. After wandering for several hours and it now being AFTER check-in time with no phone call as promised and no alert, I headed back to the hotel where I was lucky enough to wait in another 45 minute line. The front desk person was obviously exhausted and overworked, but was helpful in providing directional cues because this hotel is not intuitive designed to say the least. Finally got into my room over an hour after the check-in time and after waiting over an hour in two lines. Yay!Housekeeping was not providing their a-game. Hair from a past guest was left on the bathroom door (a lovely, large clump of hair). Gross. No hand soap was provided, so to wash my hands I need to go to the shower and use the body gel and wall-locked pump to get some soap. Classy.(I’ve confirmed with several other guests staying here that they too did not receive hand soap so this is a THING apparently and not an oversight as we all individually assumed…what a weird choice to make for cost-cutting. Who needs clean hands?!?!)Crumbs aligned the floor between the two beds. Again, I’m pretty mellow so I figured the beds were clean and I could handle not hanging my towels on the bathroom hook to avoid a clump of gross hair until housekeeping came by the next day.The word count limits me from clearly expressing all of the issues, but as succinctly as possible: dirty hotel room, no housekeeping service yet during my stay (and finally requesting today was met with what I can only describe as annoyance that I asked for something that should have been done), two hours to get ice that was ultimately unusable, broken doors, broken safe and many hours to even get someone to show up to make a super simple fix (reset the code), and on and on and on. I didn’t ask but a front desk person assured me that a manager would DEFINITELY be following-up about the issues. One guess as to whether the manager has called to follow up. Yeah, this is obviously a cultural issue. It starts at the top. There is zero accountability or follow-up and most definitely zero sense of urgency to fix issues that they have created themselves.AVOID AVOID AVOID
Noe Guevara: I just had 2 watches and 2 bottles of cologne stolen from my room. Front desk told me they can't check who accessed my room via a key card and that there's no cameras they can check. Filing a police report now. DO NOT STAY HERE!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5 …More

Best Western Premier Executive Residency Detroit Southfield Hotel: what do users think?
Uncle Scroge: We attended an MS Yoga Event with about two or three hundred other people. Dinner was provided. They did a great job considering they had to feed us all within a short amount of time. I was impressed!
Cedric Robinson: Came to this hotel on May 30th around 10:30 pm. I booked through a 3rd party and for some reason they booked a handicap accessible room by mistake, I asked the woman to change the reservation for me and it just spiraled out if control from there. I was accused of harassing the woman behind the counter because I asked for her name, she was rude, short tempered, and talking on the phone with her son when I arrived. She called the police on me and I waited for them, they showed up heard my side of the story and my room was changed but it took the Southfield PD being called for that to happen. I want to know who hired and trained this employee, I don't know her name but someone should review the cameras from this day. I may even seek legal counsel because I felt threatened when she said she would call police on me for asking for my room to be changed.
Rachel D: Literally the worst. Filthy rooms. Not just older rooms like expected based on the age of the hotel, but hairs left in the shower, carpets are sticky and linens stained. Front desk and 800# did nothing when contacted. Was not expecting 4 stars, but with a name like Radisson I assumed they would have some cleaning and customer service standards.
Cindy Spencer: Ivan is amazing! Talk about going above and beyond! It feels like a breakfast at a five star restaurant! He is so helpful and friendly. We loved his waffles!I highly highly recommend staying here for the breakfast ran by Ivan! It'll make your stay in Michigan friendly from the moment you get up!Food & drinks: Breakfast was included and Ivan made it amazing!
Thomas Guyton: From Carol---- It's taken me a little while to wrap my mind and emotions around authoring this review because it was such a conflicting and disporportionate experience. Update! One week since I wrote this review and still no follow-up. Horrible!!I worked with Jutta from Jan.-April to plan a large surprise party. She was responsive, congenial, professional; and even accommodated a room upgrade based on the party size etc. She was on-site for the first hour or so on the date of the event. After this, my experience -considering that this was a relatively high 5 figure plus event-went downhill fast.Carole-- my banquet manager for the night--- was rude and made me feel like I was an utter annoyance and inconvenience. I asked a simple question about dessert; Carole asked me not to bother her servers. She rudely told me that the: 'kids meal placeholders we're not in place' (kids move things); and that I should be more aware of my contract. These are only samplings...I was spending a lot of money and got rude pushback with respect to simple questions designed to help accommodate my guests. The food was bland and almost cold (they would not let me taste test in advance). I almost cried when I saw all of the 1/3 eaten plates being discarded by the servers. I texted Jutta about this on April 9th. I received a text apology with no escalated follow-up or remediation gestures. Period! On the upside, I must pause to mention that my two bartenders were awesome.Several guests booked rooms for the night, including myself. The rooms weren't very clean and the glass soap holder fell on my daughter's foot during her shower (we have pics). We called the front desk to ask for more soap, towels and a band aid; we were told:"you're gonna have to come get that stuff yourself!"Overall, my upfront/planning experiences with Jutta left me anticipating a much different outcome. I'm deeply hurt by this extremely expensive and disappointing experience! BTW, I've sent Jutta 2 unanswered texts post-payment and event night. I feel like they got the big bucks from me and moved on...Shame on this venue! Think real hard about trusting them with your once-in-a-lifetime significant events!
Pier Alessandro Agazzani: Business travel in Detroit,Room is big and with all needs, even if it's not so "new" and modern.Service is good, ready 24h and fast responding on every needs. Breakfast is complete and staff people extremely kind.Position is not the best one, too close to an important main road with lot of traffic
MJ Hapa: The staff was friendly, room was clean, bed comfortable, and shower had hot water. But that's it. Breakfast wasn't included with the price they charge, the facilities are showing wear and tear, heading towards shabbiness. It's disappointing to see major hotel chains go downhill, chasing short-term profits instead of investing in repairs and maintenance. There is no bathtub, shower only. The hotel provided shampoo, rinse, and soap in little travel tubes. Coffee and a coffee maker were also provided. That coffee wasn't bad, actually. The orange water they offered in the lobby was quite nice, but the coffee is horrible. Blech. I should've gone with the cheap teabag they had.Location-wise, it's less than a 30-minute drive to the Detroit airport, which was convenient.I chose to stay here simply because Priceline gave me a deal after renting a car, and the reviews weren't too terrible, compared to the cheaper motels nearby. I didn't feel unsafe staying at Radisson.I also got a nice view of a sea of tree tops from a higher floor. Parking was free, too.
Mookie Knight: This is not a 5 star hotel but the service is great. My wife and I just didn't like the they charge you for breakfast.$ mookie $Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Mashana Chuney: I CALLED TO RESERVE 9 ROOMS FOR MY FAMILY REUNION AND GEORGE AT RESEVATIONS TOOK MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO RESERVE THE ROOMS. MY CALL WAS DROPPED I CALLED BACK AND A LADY ANSWERED AND I ASK TO SPEAK TO GEORGE SHE PUT ME ON HOLD AND THE PHONE HUNG UP. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. IT IS NOT ALWAYS A GOOD THING TO OUTSOURCE FOR PEOPLE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER CALL DROPPED AGAIN. I PRAY TO GOD GEORGE DID NOT USE MY CREDIT CARD BECAUSE IF HE DID GOD WILL MAKE HIM PAY FOR THAT. THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE AT ALL
Chiketa Palmore-Bryant: I attended a conference hosted at this venue. The staff was very accommodating. The lunch left much to be desired. No dressing out for the antipasto salad.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Maggie Ullrich: I received a text to ask how my visit was , and I explain that the first night was unacceptable, and no follow up was provided to find a solution. There was a significant gap between my room and the conjoined room. The people in the conjoined room came in around 4:30am and their talking made is sound like someone was in the room with me. They have every right to talk at night but there was no sound proof. I live in NYC and understand standard sound proofing but it was non-existent at this hotel. This is in addition to the fact that you could hear anyone who was outside of your door in the hall, which the wedding party at 2am woke us up.Furthermore the room was dirty; stains on the sheets, dirty paper towels left in the bathroom, wet floor when we arrived, and in the bathroom the wall had a hole from water damage. Water was warm at best when all the way up. I took this hotel because it was rated well but I wouldn't even give this a 2 star review other than your staff was friendly.

James Robertson: I booked 2 nights at this hotel a couple weeks in advance of my stay and checked in online through the Bonvoy app the day before my stay. The hotel had given my room away when I arrived. The front desk attendant seemed very confused and ultimately unhelpful. I had book another hotel on my phone and call an uber to get a place to stay for the night.

Nate Brink: Stayed here for a long weekend in Detroit. The service is phenomenal. The gentleman who checked me in was friendly and funny, and the rest of the staff I encountered were nice as well. The rooms are clean and spacious. Linens are clean. The halls and lobby were also clean. Stayed during a wedding event and a hockey tournament but never heard any noise from either group. I'd give the bed a 3 out of 5. It's not the best bed I've slept in, but definitely not the worst. The pillows, sheets and comforter were all nice. The couch in the room was comfy. Overall, one of the better stays I've had in the last couple of years.
BeardedWonder: Rough place, when I was walking in I was hit up by someone asking for money. Place is dated, not in a good area. If you’re a business traveler and not working for Ford, go stay in Novi. I won’t be back, I miss the Dearborn Inn
Clarence Davis: I was given a room away from the traveling hockey (kids) teams but the walls are thin. At midnight I could hear the baby crying on one side, and the couple's conversation on the other. Otherwise, reasonable ratesHotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
