Jasmine Brown: Incredible place right in our own backyard. We can't believe that we didn't know this place was here. Went for an airplane ride and the kids loved watching the airplanes take off and land! We will be back soon.

Matthew Philip: Great airport and very friendly air traffic controllers. This airport has a lot of history behind it and is a true gem. It’s in a great location near the city; located less than 5 miles from Downtown Detroit so you will be downtown in just minutes.No airline service because the current runways are a little short, but great for corporate charter jet service and other General Aviation.The airport itself is very safe, but it is located in the vicinity of what some people may consider to be a slightly dangerous, or higher crime area where you might not want to just walk around alone outside of the airport property especially after dark. All in all, this is a great airport and an asset to the city, don’t listen to the other negative reviews. The city better not close this airport! We use it and we want to see it be operated and improved!

Brad Bohen: How does Coleman young international airport have no review's In 2019! The airport it's self is has easy in easy out access. Mostly small private prop planes & jets. Primarily used for the wealthy. I imagine minimal commerce/shipping & some drug trafficking. How else do you support an airport in the middle of the hood. It is smack Dan in the middle too. Looks out of place, make sure you have gas & stuff. Do not stop anywhere near that airport if you're not familiar with the area. It's just below 6 Mile west of Gratiot.

Mark French: Yes! Still an airport in the city of Detroit - no airlines so it's great for general and executive aviation! Close to downtown Detroit where the Lions, Tigers, Pistons, & Wings play! Tuskegee monument in front of the terminal. International airport by appointment only (must call for Customs ahead of arrival).

Dave and Karen Mast: It is apparent this city has forgotten what a valuable space their airport is! No better way to state who you are than through your accesses and green spaces. Unfortunately KDET is being mismanaged; it doesn’t change the beautiful people that live and work here and hope for a brighter future.

Christina Rayne: Big and more complicated than it should be if you don't know what terminal and concourse your airline is. Delta has a boujee wing tho. Pay attention to long and short term parking!!!! Parked in short term and ended up paying $38 a day 🙄 I could've just taken a lyft for a cheaper.....update short term parking is $20 a day and $40 a day!!!!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous smh

Larry Stevenson: This facility has much people traffic. Terminal general Appearance is littered and bathrooms smell of Urine. We noticed some janitors just appeared to be busy but doing an incomplete job picking up Litter.

Chris: Great non-towered suburban airport! Received my PPL from Troy Air Experience at KVLL. Dennis G., was an awesome instructor, the airport manager is very friendly and always willing to help. No full service FBO here, but low traffic and close to home for many pilots! Easy Uber to shopping, etc.
