Grey Ghost Detroit: what do users think?
Kanishk Bakshi: I had a pork shank and boy it was delicious. Seems a bit expensive though. So, it was not good for the price. But given the ambience and plating and taste of food, Pork Shank was great.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
KiKi Dasher: I was looking for a restaurant not too far from the Fox theater because I was attending a concert with my son. I tried to make reservations online and had difficulty. I spoke to a nice young lady and she got me a reservation. I’ve never been to this restaurant and our sever Ibrahim was very attentive and he suggested a cocktail that complimented my meal. We were asked about special occasions or dietary restrictions and that was awesome. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean. The food and service was excellent and I’m sure I’ll be back.
Sandra Renee: Great range of cocktails!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes French Fries …More
Katie Kleisner: Our first time here- everything was tops. Beautiful restaurant, amazing food and drinks, plus a fabulous & attentive staff. Shout out to Chef Joe for his extra hospitality! Memorable experience in the best way, thank you!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Eric Lindsay: This is a must stop for anyone in Detroit. Make a reservation as it does fill up every night. Its my fav burger in Detroit but everything on the menu is a must try. Everything is made in house and it shows, the drinks are just as good if not better than the food as well so indulge when you go.
Dan Sharp: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Michael Taillard: An excellent restaurant experience. Great service, great cocktails, great atmosphere. The food menu relies heavily on obvious things that fail to showcase the culinary talents of the chefs (e.g.: oysters, steaks, etc.) buy the food is still very good. The wine list, while limited, is impeccable. Definitely worth the trip.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lola Meyers: Best shareable plates + cocktails. Always 10/10 date night spot
Dezerai Monique: It was a great night the ambience was good nice atmosphere. I ordered the lamb and really wanted to like it was terrible like they just put tomato paste water down on top of it how can lamb not be tender and moist? It was dry bland horrible just horrible. I found nothing to like about the meal. Besides the drinks were good. I see why it's called GHOST...
Kelly Marie: I think this place has a lot of potential. I worked in the service industry for a while and I expect a certain level of decency from staff. The general manager did not seem to have that. I was accused of feeding a backserver caviar which never actually happened. I apologize if my verbiage came off wrong- please show me your cameras. My group was cut off and we decided it was best to leave as the vibe was off. You know, nobody fell over, no one yelled, I was accused of making “slurs” and honestly we just came in for some late night food around 9 pm. I’m still not sure what the real issue was. I’m so over spending 300Plus dollars to be treated like trash. If the owner is reading this- please reach out. I’ve been coming here for years and your GM needs an attitude adjustment.

The Apparatus Room: what do users think?
Helen Izbor: Regrettably, my visit to The Apparatus Room was characterized by a disappointing dining experience that left an indelible negative impression. The troubles began even before the food arrived, stemming from a rather poorly managed environment and less-than-adequate service.Upon being seated, we were immediately faced with a disheartening sight: neighboring tables in disarray, dirty, with cleaning supplies carelessly strewn about. An unsightly beginning that was far from the welcome one would expect from a reputable restaurant. Our server, an older woman, was far from accommodating. When we pointed out the messy surroundings and asked for tidying up, her response was one of visible annoyance. What should have been a basic service request was met with apparent indifference. More than ten minutes passed before our request was begrudgingly attended to, and only after a second reminder.Regrettably, the shortcomings of the evening were not confined to service and cleanliness. The food, a supposed redeeming factor, fell significantly short of expectations. Our dishes lacked flavor, with the taste profiles bordering on the side of bland. A particularly disappointing example was an avocado tart that was so poorly presented we felt compelled to return it. For a restaurant that is supposed to provide a high-quality dining experience, the food was a letdown.Overall, it was a waste of time and money. Until significant improvements are made, I find it hard to recommend this establishment.
Avneet Hall: I love how the restaurant has maintained the historic charm of the building and is modern at the same time. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. I only have good things to say about this place. Definitely a gem in downtown Detroit.
Adrien Hello: Overall, the food was solid if not a bit overpriced. I'm not sure if our waiter was the exception, but the waitstaff was fairly cold and not very polite.Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
HK S: I wanted to provide a feedback about my experience at Apparatus room on Feb 19th.We were seated at the long chairs in the back of the restaurant. When I enquired about table #44 with the waiter and then with the host she told me that it is reserved. I asked how is it so when I had made the reservation and I was explicitly told that table 44 is what would be reserved for me. She said she didn't see anything in the notes. I asked her "how would I even know about a table #44 if someone didn't tell me about it from the restaurant?" She didn't seem to have any cognizance of what is being told to her and was insinuating that I had not made a reservation because she said that people at table #44 had made the reservation. So then I enquired about another table which was empty and requested if we could be moved there. After initial refusal and me wanting to talk with the manager, we were moved to table #45.This seems very poor customer service skills by not acknowledging that the mistake was on the restaurant's side. I even showed the email interaction between the restaurant and myself to the waiter who was initially talking with us.For food, I got the celery dish. The dish was very salty. I told our waiter and all she said was she will let the chef know. There were limited vegetarian options on the menu and everything had pungent, vinegar like smell in it; the bread and crispy potatoes (which btw were not crispy at all). No way this dish should even be on the menu. It was one of the weirdest dishes I have ever tried.Ultimately our night didn't go as we had planned and food was definitely disappointing to say the least. After I emailed the restaurant about my experience, I was told that someone from management will reach out to me to discuss my experience which never happened. I'll not be going back to this restaurant or recommend anyone.
alison bencsik: Was in town for a conference and went here every night - great bar selection, good service, amazing cocktails and atmosphere.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

tammy wu: I paid $48 dollars for halibut, and I am still hungry. We spent $183 not including tip and my tummy is literally still growling. We ate bread with butter, beef carpaccio, flank steak, very soggy and wet cold fries, and halibut. We ordered the mains and sides as per the waitress’ recommendation. The portions are TINY. The halibut was littered with spring onions and regular onions which I did not eat. I still want to kiss my date after this meal. They garnished it with 6 peas. The “new potato” is VERY THINLY SLICED garnishing potato with zero seasoning. The only thing that was truly edible was the tiny portion of fish for $48 which was average at best. My dish was also the most expensive??? We are on our way to pick up something to fill me up on the way back to our hotel or else I’m having sleep for dinner. Tragic meal.
Amin Ghasemazar: Our server was having a bad day. Felt super unwelcome. Server got mad and had attitude just because we asked for more bread.Food was good.Food: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Whitney Daly: Kate is the best waitress! I can’t say enough about the amazing service and ambience!
Scott Craig: Amazingly disappointing experience at the Apparatus Room. The price gauging for 3 cocktails is unbelievable. We were charged $30 for a drink that would typically cost $20 (high end). We were also told that in Detroit all drinks use 2oz of liquor- when in fact the drink is equal parts at 3/4-1oz each. Troubling and very disappointing. I expect more from Detroit.

Kevin Metro (Metro): Had a fantastic time at the tea brunch with my wife. The fare was quite reasonable for what we received and our waiter was fantastic. The savory scone was by far the best part and interestingly they said that it was new.
Lisa Boughton: Awesome venue and their beef wellington is exceptional. The only reason I did not give a 5 on the food was because the cake was quite dry on all of our desserts.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Food Service, The Beef Wellington …More
Jasmine Irani: The Whitney Mansion is a beautiful property with a lot of history. I visited the Ghost Bar on the 3rd floor and ordered the "Witching Hour" drink. It was supposed to be layered tableside, however, the mixologist looked at me from behind the bar (as though I didn't know) and made the drink at the bar. Also, the staff encourages the exploration of the mansion and the area around it (horse stables, garden, exterior of mansion, etc.). But while observing the exterior of the mansion for it's architecture, I was told to wait around in the garden at the front as though I was being suspicious. I didn't like being treated like that.
Crystal Marie: I thoroughly enjoyed the tea service at the Whitney. The staff was amazing, and I got rave reviews on my hat selection (tea time.always requires a hat, lol). The tea menu was delicious and just enough bites to accompany the tea and mimosa. YES! You heard right tea AND mimosa! We drank tea as my girlfriend and I spilled some tea too! Will definitely be returning. I wish they still did their brunch on Sundays.
Deborah Adkins: Attended a private dinner event in this beautiful historic mansion. The food was outstanding!

Laura Santo: We celebrated our 29th anniversary and our friends 1st anniversary at the Whitney. A wonderful experience from the time we arrived, until we left. Everyone from the valet, to the piano man, to our waiter was amazing, attentive, and professional. The food was excellent. Nancy Vadasz: Very disappointed in the food and service. The beef in beef Wellington was cook very good but the pastry was very doughy, the vegetables were quite raw. The dessert was dried yellow cake with ganache on top. As I looked around I saw many plates left behind with this dessert only half eaten. The server bought out dishes before we were finished with the plate at hand. The table was messy with crumbs and no service to clean was attempted.Needless to say, we will not be returning!
taylor shipp: Well, the service was okay but the food wasn’t the best. Sent back the beef Wellington three times but it was still rare and had pink. However, the staff was very friendly.

I had a date here earlier in the year & recently came back with him as my boyfriend. From the red carpet - to being escorted in by a friendly worker - this restaurant has become one of my favorite places to dine in. You're not only paying for quality food, but an intimate atmosphere and top notch service.I've gotten to glimpse the gardens but haven't been to the ghost bar [yet.]I'm not in the habit of taking photos of my food but best believe it looked good, tasted even better, and I rarely eat meat.I love it here.

A: The food is good. The experience is awful. Ordered burgers, fries, coleslaw. Got the coleslaw. Got the fries 20 mins later. Another 30 mins and finally my burger. It would be more enjoyable to get a burger and fries not fries—and an indefinite amount of time later— my sandwich. Despite being one room and well-staffed my waitress never refilled my drink. Aaron Diamond: Out of business and a Dump
R Lampson: Closed at Noon on a Sunday. Phone disconnected. Thanks for updating your hours on your building and on Google.
Josh Wise: This place hasn’t been open once since I moved here over Christmas and every weekend I have to tell people attempting to get in about nearby places.
Ken Hasty: Closed. Door was locked and the phone has been disconnected.
Erick Haynes: I tried to make a reservation a few days ago Via the online reservation option. It did not work.. I tried to call 2 numbers to reach the restaurant to make sure they were open and ask questions. I was not able to reach anyone and one of the numbers the numbers i found was an error. The Open Table option also doesn't work. Instead of going to see what it's all about I think I'm gonna pass my experience trying to reach out to them has been not great.
Th3ycallme _kayy: Everybody was so sweet and professional, food was so good
Brooke Hunt: I highly recommend! The menu is diverse, there's something for everyone and the service was incredible. We enjoyed a late dinner, all orders came out hot and correct. Which was really nice since we had a large party. Food and drinks were delicious, definitely would come back!
Leslie Shields: We ate lunch there today and it was awesome! Had the Mac and Cheese omg it was the best! Our server was Lauren and she was very attentive to our table. The manager visited with us as well and she was nice! Thanks for the wonderful food and atmosphere!

Diana Yockey: Small setting but the food was good. Our waitress was exceptional.
Kirk Barnett: Good healthy food but try to have a local let you know what to order. I recommend this place for sure...
Michael Fogarty: It was our first night out with friends of ours since February and Rock City Eatery gave us a great experience. Their take on poutine with the duck fat fries was delicious and definitely unique. We all got the mac and cheese each with different toppings but I got the carmelized onions and the shredded brisket. The giant shells and the rich cheddar cheese made for one of the best mac and cheeses that I've ever had. The bowl was even made of baked parmesan cheese and it was delicious. Will definitely come back to try more of the menu.
ExoTic LoVer: Its not the best place. I've eaten better, the food i make is definitely better than Joe's.
Schwenda: Nice local place to eat lunch... thickest pieces of bacon I've ever seen in my life on my burger... shame my rental car crapped out on me in Ft. Huron the previous day... otherwise I'd've seen what else this town has to offer... in a good way!
Ryan M: Best mac and cheese in the city.
Cindy Carey: My friend and I enjoyed dinner here before the Pistons game last Saturday. We didn’t realize we should make reservations, but since we were there at 4:30pm, we were able to get a table and were out before those who had reservations. The hostess and server were friendly. The food was delicious! We had regular and sweet potato fries, a regular burger (on a pretzel bun!) and an M43. The food was delicious and the service efficient. We would eat here again!
John K: Mac n Cheese noM

Darnell “its a conversation peace” Blackburn: One of my best friends and I had dinner here tonight. The service was top notch starting with the hostess who was very friendly and welcoming. The best part of the night was our server Tiffany. She was very engaging and kind. She gave us recommendations on what to try from food to drinks and they were spot on. Tiffany is the epitome of a great server and a great asset to Parc. I wish there was a Tiffany at every restaurant I went to.
Darrin 'Boomer' Williams: This is by far my favorite restaurant in Detroit! It has a great ambience to the downtown, Detroit scene, and the staff are 10 stars out of five. A big salute to manager Gabriel Matwyuk, who literally gave me the tie off his neck, (I’ve been searching for this design for two years btw🤷🏾‍♂️ ) so I’ll always be a continuous customer.🚀🚀🚀 come eat now🍽️

I discovered my new favorite drink, “Irish made cucumber 🥒 “ by Tatiana ; Tatiana is outstanding and she is my favorite bartender; she talented. I le je the crew! I highly recommended visiting it.
Luis M: The restaurant was kind of busy for a Tuesday afternoon but there was a pretty big convention nearby. My boss and I sat down ordered drinks and then looked at the menu. About 5 minutes later they take our order, he gets lobster rolls I get the Bolognese. 45 minutes pass and nobody checked on us. We saw other folks get their food that sat down at the same time or shortly after us. We finally flag down our server and they apologize and said they're going to go check. About 10 more minutes pass and the manager comes by and said sorry but they'll go figure out what's up. Finally a little over an hour we get our food. It's a real shame because the Bolognese was delicious. My boss said the lobster rolls were mediocre. After all that not even 10% off or like a little dessert or anything. Not mandatory but it would've gone a long way to show a little accountability for the error.
Dad Campbell: My fiancé and I sat at the bar and we were served by Michael. And he was absolutely wonderful. Very polite very poised very professional and we will definitely be back.
Nick Lapin: A bit overpricedFood: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Kelly Hall: Where do I start? The Mister and I stopped in for drinks Sunday afternoon. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by Shakira. She offered us water and food menus. We informed her we would only be having drinks. Her level of service and friendliness remained exactly the same as she asked us what we would like to drink. Since I saw freshly squeezed lemon juice on the bar I was comfortable ordering a lemon drop martini. The Mister ordered a margarita. Shakira quickly and efficiently made us the two cocktails from scratch. She even tasted them to make sure the mix was just right before serving. Total pro move! We didn't have food so I cannot comment on that. But, if you are going to Parc for drinks I hope you are lucky enough to meet Shakira!
Stocler Andrade: Restaurante de excelente qualidade. Comida, drinks e boas opções de vinhos.

sidekickmusic313 riot: Great drinks, wings and awesome ppl
Michael Bosquez sr: It's closed do to covid
Haley Marentette: We are staying at the Trumbull & Porter hotel and having the Red Dunn Kitchen attached to it is amazing! The food is great, the drinks are great and the patio is amazing! Especially with everything going on, we were still able to order our food to go and drink on the patio safely. Highly recommend!
Ryan S: The food was excellent and I had an absolute blast here. The lamp shades are made of silicone, so you don't crack your noggin if you bump one whilst standing up. The guy singing was a hoot.Overall, amazing in all directions.
Ang W: interesting menu and nice atmosphere but very inconsistent service and food.
Wayne Clark: Good service, good people
Erik Piper: Service not the greatest. Eggs were cooked wrong for 4 people and one person didnt even get a meal that was ordered.
Ulysses Jones: A little pricey for the meal, service can be slow at sometime, drinks are good? All depends on the bartender? Not consisted ...
Keena Arrington: Nice!
Sandra Babiarz: Came here approximately around 12:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday, and the place was surprisingly not busy given the time. Unfortunately, I can see why. Myself and another waited approximately one hour to receive our food... which was French toast and the hash. Both of us were very patient but would have honesty left earlier if we had known it would take so long. The establishment seems to care more about the aesthetic rather than quality of service and food. Overpriced, especially $22 for a classic breakfast meal with coffee which you can get anywhere else for no more than $10 sometimes. Also, cannot comment on the gratuity as we did leave a tip, just not sure if it was already included as I've seen in some reviews .
X Jesh: Food was fine. Cocktails were a weak point. I am not a big cocktail guy, but I was at a table of 6, and nobody really found a cocktail they enjoyed. Waitress messed up our drink order and struggled with basic questions about the menu. The main problem was my bill ended up being 60$ for what felt more like a 25$ experience.
Tracy Haughton: Had the Venison Bolognese with Pappardelle which i loved and ate every bite. My friend had a burger i believe. Fries looked yummy. In the morning My friend’s french toast was burned but sent back graciously and the next version was acceptable. Her chi tea was a misinformation trial but sent back and fixed. I had eggs Benedict but not right. Did not send back. Eggs should run. Did not. Did not taste lemon. Maybe more training on recipes. I still enjoyed it. Would i Eat here again? Yes.
Valerie Taylor: Service is horrible, they are slow, rude, and act like you’re an inconvenience. They close the restaurant and bar randomly. The menu says that they have specials but when you ask what the specials are, they tell you that they don’t have any specials. The food is expensive and not worth the price. We walked in at 8:45pm and they yelled from the bar that they were closed. The website says that they close at 10pm. They refused to serve us. Definitely would not recommend this place and I will not be coming back. We gave them 2 attempts and they failed both times.
Otto Orf: Brunch on Jan 19 was terrible. Service was slow. Food came out cold. And it took forever for us to get our check. This place got so many good reviews, we were definitely surprised and not satisfied with the experience. There are large windows that allow customers to view the kitchen. There seemed to be only one guy working for Sunday brunch. The food took a long time to arrive. And then arrived cold. The server seemed overworked and inattentive with only a few tables. The room itself was cold and the restroom was almost as cold as the outside.
Kimberly Johnson: Great place! Friendly staff!
Deborah Evans: Not a good choice for a meal. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was bland and the tortilla was barely warm while the ingredients were overcooked. Couldn't smell or taste the chorizo that should have been in the burrito. The waitress repeatedly poured coffee into the cup of my co-diner, who ordered tea. I might visit again for coffee and dessert, but not for a meal.
Andy Nichols: Last year, we visited the Kitchen for the tasting menu just after Christmas. We thought the food was well prepared if not entirely inspired. This past Christmas we went again and what a disappointment. What happened? The charcuterie was no better than a quick trip around Kroger’s would have produced! Serving French fries which were both cold and likely left over from lunch is a huge mistake to make, especially when the replacements are not the same (and look like they came from Ore Ida). What a shocking disappointment.
Eniso N: Great Service, food and COCKTAILS! I’ve been there quite a few times even a couple times with my little one. Very attentive staff. I’ve been there in the summer when they had outside entertainment and movies. Love this place
calvin morgan: I wanted a simple breakfast bit not paying 20 dollars for 2 eggs and meat sorry toast was 15 dollars is it gold infused. Not coming back. Waitress had a attitude.
Danyelle P: Very good high quality breakfast. Located inside the hotel.

Cornerstone Barrel House: what do users think?
Andrea Jones: The food was great, the staff was very friendly. Definitely will go again.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kimmy K: Went here after a musical at the Detroit Opera House. Good atmosphere. Decent selection of drinks. Food is fried chicken in the back of the restaurant. We didn't eat, but many people were ordering and it smelled amazing. Atmosphere is like a warehouse. We enjoyed it.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Megan Kopicko: Absolutely amazing food. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Very fast and great service.
Rasky Bukowski (Rasky): I suggested this restaurant as it was close to The Fillmore prior to a show [IDLES]. The staff were very accommodating and made nice recommendations. I didn't have it, but people raved about the homemade chicken noodle soup including my new friend for the show. I decided to have the Salmon BLT and it was fantastic enough to the point I question if it wild even though there wasn't an indicator, but it was certainly sockeye variety. If I go to The Fillmore again instead of trying another restaurant I'm going to suggest this one again. It's an easy walk over.
Laurel owens: We had to wait 30 minutes for a table at about 5:00 PM on a Sunday evening. There are very limited choices but what we ordered was great; mac&cheese and sliders. It’s a very small place - the staff is friendly and attentive and the prices were good. Easy walk from our hotel (Whitney).
Steve Carter: Staff was super cool and atmosphere was sweet.
Colleen Rinaldi: Good service great food!!
Dan Uber: Great plates coupled with fine libations.
Tracy Scott: We had a great time here, the staff were wonderful, very friendly and chatty, the food was awesome and a good price too. I would definitely recommend this place.
Charles Thompson: Good food. Great location and wonderful service. Will return
Nina L.: Food is okay, drinks are better. Waitress was a bit short with our group, but they were very busy so she seemed overwhelmed.
Helfer Photography: Goodtymz
Alex d: Food was terrible. But it's okay for some casual drinks..
Jennifer Green: Drinks are flowing and food is good.
Alvin Ibrahim: Great service, great people and food. They serviced us minutes from them closing. Chef was cool about it too
Jeff Niemi: This restaurant is located right on Woodward in the heart of Detroit located next to some great establishments, such as the Shinola Hotel. The seating outside was perfect during a warm evening. The service was speedy and delivered with a warming manner. If you have the pleasure of dining here, I would totally recommend the burger. This burger was one of the most flavorful burgers I've had in a long time. With it's buttery flavor and cooked to perfection and served on a warm bun. You won't put it down once you start to consume this delight. If you're in the area give this place a go and enjoy an affordable, delicious meal executed with perfection. Bon appetit!
Yolanda B: Great service, yummy food. Chill little spot to catch up outside on the patio or watch the game inside. Will be back!
Katie McBryde: Lovely little bar with a great selection of bourbon and a small food menu but amazing food.
Matthew Gilbert: Best meal we had in Detroit! The peta and dip were amazing, great Mac with truffle oil too!
Tatrika Graphenreed: I go here specifically for the Mac and cheese and the drinks. The staff is very nice as well.
Michele Lynn26: I've been here twice in the last month. Staff was awesome! Recommend the braised beef sliders!
