City Club Apartments CBD Detroit: what do users think?
Mandy F: Terrible experience living here.Do not rent here.
Jeff S: Go to 36th district court website and do a case lookup. That will show you the hundreds of suits they need to file for tenant non payment of rent. The fact they need to file this quantity will give you the best idea about what management is like. I web searched Michigan Compiled Laws Section 554.613 then filed small claims suit and won default judgement for twice my security deposit.Follow Up to response:Are you kidding? Call the office? Why don't you just send me a check for full judgement and interest that you owe me? I've tried to contact someone via multiple phone calls and certified letters to many of your addresses (including your CEO) since I moved out in July 2022. All ignored. I might lien the property with my judgement but court records show multiple liens already against the property.
Scott Stevens: Going on month #5 and still no damage deposit back! They owe me nearly $2000. They told me a check would be in the mail writhin 45 days. Last time I left a review. Their response was giving me their email to resolve this issue and that got me nowhere. Poor poor property and service. Would not recommend this place to anyone!
Keith brigham: I work for a small family owned company. We did work for this location in November of last year. We were not paid right away. When we contacted them about it we were told our payment was going out in January. Here we are Two Months later and we still have not paid their bill. Now we are going to have to send to collections and hope to get back a small amount of the payment. If they don't care about the people doing work at their apartments I have to wonder what they think of their tenants.
andrea w: Despite City Club's efforts to remove my posts, I shall persist in warning people against moving there. The managers' behaviour is overtly hostile to their staff, and as a consequence, there is an inadequate number of employees, many of whom are forced to work well beyond what is necessary. Maintenance is woefully inadequate and only satisfactorily dealt with when potential legal action is threatened. Having experienced this myself for a year, I can assure a poor standard of service. They tried to obscure the truth about this building: the truth about the upkeep, the truth about the elevator continuously being out of order, the truth about management harassing tenants, the truth about the deceit they had concealed and the lack of regard I endured. Last year, my hospitalization was a direct result of the maltreatment at City Club. I'm not expressing myself from a place of animosity. I'm coming from a place I once regarded as good until the facts emerged.
Camila Alves: I lived in this complex for 1 year, it's been 6 months since I moved, and until today I haven't received my deposit back, I've called, I've sent an email and they don't return it!Don’t live in this PLACE!
Jed Mahrle: I lived here for a year. Great location and good price for the complex. When I left, I was never paid back my security deposit. Almost 2 grand. What’s worse is I can’t even get an answer why. The property manager won’t answer my emails or respond to my calls. Zero accountability and zero attempt to point me in the right direction as to who can help me.Update: after finding the directors cell and calling her directly, I was paid my deposit back
Mason Chen: Ok, so I moved out on 31/10/2022, and still waiting for my security deposit to get returned back to me as of today. I made a bunch of phone calls and not once was I able to get to a person/manager that was able to help and I sent follow-up e-mails a few times and no one responded, please let me know if there is anyone I can talk to before I am forced to take legal actions here against CBD Detroit.
Dawon Oh: DO NOT RENT HERE! THEY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK !I moved out last September 2022 and they have yet to return back my security deposit and the referral credit, which is about 2k.The property managers are constantly changing and the management is useless.I've been emailing them since September and all I hear back is "it's processing".The current manager is Ayesha and she will tell you "Everything on my end was completed and it’s been in accountings’ hands" BUT will not give you any more updates.Ridiculous.
Robert Squibb: Great place to stay. There's everything right around.
Joe Moc Jr: Amazing location and apartments!. Service call time-frame needs to be improved.
Keith Falkenhagen: Just used the parking, but did walk throught the first floor. Nice place in a growing part town
Ariel Moore: DO NOT RENT HERE 6 different property Managers within the last year appliances & amenities breaking down every other day CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WALKED OUT THE ON JOB BECAUSE THEY RAN OUT OF MONEY AIR BNDS ARE TOO LOUD THIS A HOTEL NOT NOT A Residency
Emjai Creates: PLEASE DON'T give these ppl your money. I found CBD apartment during the pandemic ard (September 2020) prior to moving to Detroit. I was informed by a leasing agent by the name Reannon (who is no longer w/ the company)they were having some difficulties with permits and bc of this I would not be able to physically able tour the apartment. However based on the virtual tour and the guaranteed completion date I was given for the apartment to be move ready I agreed submit my rental application and deposit to hold my apartment. A Deposit which I was told was completely refundable!!After submitting my deposit I waited for construction/permits to be completed ( I reached out once or twice to see how construction was going but I hadn't heard anything back from Reannon in awhile). I was unlike her and she had been almost overly communicative at this point so..I decided cut them some slack & just wait until it was closer to December which was ard my projected move in time to reach out again. After a few attempts to reach out and being met with rude staff or no answer at all I finally spoke to someone by the name of Jake. He was nice and pretty helpful initially. Jake informed me that Reannon was no longer with the company which did not explained why no one had been in touch or bothered to return my phone calls. He had also informed me that the permits and or construction where expected to take longer now we're talking 2021 they wouldn't be available for move ins until January or February .I was hesitant to move forward without Reannon as I had built a rapport with her and since she left there was a massive lack of communication and concern even though I already given my money. To be frank I quickly noticed a shift, in my dealings with this company it be came a very uncomfortable (a wait and see) sort of process which is not what you want when you're moving . As anticipated at this point the projected date changed yet again, this time I was informed; however I had decided that this was not the place for me.I let Jake know that I no longer wished to move forward with renting the apartment he asked if I would think about it and reconsider. I expressed my concerns, it was nothing personal just too much hassle and also if you all remember I'm still in need of a permeant place to live. I respectfully declined to move forward.I inquired about the process to refund the deposit he said that I would receive it ( my deposit) in a check which will be mailed out to me . A month later I contacted Jake bc I had not received my check.I was told that for some reason they hadn't received mine and the checks are sent to them from their management company, Jake tells me that I can expect my check within a few weeks. Two months pass... no check.I call and speak to Jake he says for me to speak to his manager which I did , I don't remember his name but he informed me that I would receive the check once its sent to them and I could call but again it should be sent to me within a couple of weeks. After a few weeks I call to see if my check arrived and no one has picked up the phone since!! I have left messages no response! Completely unacceptable! A complete sham and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I will be contacting the BBB bc these sorts of businesses think that it's okay to practice dirty business tactics to make a few extra bucks. It's disgraceful!
5150 chef Ty Alton: So beautiful 😍
Jessica Lewis: Reached out to ask for information and they just added me to resident emails and texts.I don't live there. And despite repeated request to be removed from these mailing lists and promises that I would be, no action.I can't imagine living there and actually needing something done in a timely manner.
Alison McMahon: Do not listen to the response from the company saying anything has improved or believe their excuse the issues were due to it being a new building. The biggest issue in my opinion is horrible management and literally no response to any communication to the company. The building is unsafe. During many of the mentioned parties in the courtyard there was no one staffed at the front desk to call. The following day I was told by the concierge that whomever was scheduled didn’t show up so only a security person was at the front desk and they are told by management to never answer the phone. They said I should’ve just called the police. What is the purpose of a security guard who doesn’t address a massive party 25 feet from where they are sitting? Why would a resident of a building that states 24/7 security have to call the police for a noise complaint? I have lived here since September 2021 and things have gotten worse not better.
Tyler Wilson: Management has no control of the building (they recently chain-locked the courtyard doors closed for all residents because of the repeated parties in the courtyard late-night), when I moved in the apartment wasn't even cleaned after construction (I was promised a credit on rent, which never came through), the owner (I assume, cause everyone else gets tow notices) regularly parks his porsche in one of the two unloading spaces all day long, and it's a wood frame rather than steel for some reason, so you will hear everything your neighbors do (and most definitely their yelping dogs). The concierge team is the one bright spot in the building, they kill it. I would strongly consider living else where.
Idriss O. Ayelara: Very clean plcae
Tiffany: Nice
Beth Quisenberry: Our experience renting here was horrible, don't waste your money on these "luxury" apartments. Clearly they ran out of money before the building was complete and can't afford to follow through on most of the advertised amenities. They lied before we signed the lease and rented us an apartment that wasn't finished (no blinds, closet shelving, door handles, and kitchen cabinets that scrape each other when you open and close them). It took 2+ months to get blinds in our apartment, and they only covered half the windows. They care about your privacy too much to install security cameras, but not enough to provide blinds in a penthouse apartment to prevent the outside world from seeing into my bedroom.Security is a joke and management is a disaster. There's a new property manager every 2 weeks. Most of the signage in the building makes no sense (don't put recycling in the recycling/trash room, tv instructions in the gym that don't work, pool rules are for the state of PA, handicap buttons to open doors are nonfunctional, incorrect floor maps). They regularly make promises without following through. Don't waste your money.UPDATE: It's now been 3 months since I moved out. I waited the requisite 30 days to get my security deposit back from City Club and did not receive a check or any notice of damages. I cannot get ahold of anyone by phone, and they do not respond to email. The only way I think I'm going to be able to get my security deposit back is via small claims court. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

The Boulevard: what do users think?
Katrina Hand: I’ve had the best experience living at The Boulevard and I’m so happy I was able to resign with the apartment I wanted! The Boulevard staff - Antonio, Mariena and Mallory were so helpful throughout the process and are always responsive to questions and requests. I highly recommend The Boulevard to anyone who values customer service & easy communication, quiet living + the extra amenities.
Lamia Hafiz: The staff at the boulevard are fantastic! Malaree the manager is great! Antonio is just the nicest and most helpful person you will ever meet! I also want to give a shout out to Kass who helped with maintance and went above and beyond.
Heather Stone: Antonio is great! Very friendly and nice to chat with.(My guest passes for parking are not working and we are trying to get it figured out)
Samuel Esters: I’m really happy with my service at The Boulevard and Antonio is one of my favorite employees! Thanks man!
Shanelle: Antonio in the leasing office is such a caring hard worker and the absolute best employee! He is always happy to help residents and puts a huge smile on all of our faces! My lease signing experience was made effortless thanks to him and since then he has made my time at The Boulevard welcoming and so great! Would recommend The Boulevard to anyone looking for residence with friendly staff and beautiful living spaces!!
Stephen Weatherholt: Have loved living at the Boulevard since it opened, on the cusp of downtown, but part of a quieter neighborhood. It’s a walk across the street to a friendly convince store, up the street to a coffee shop or cocktail lounge and restaurants (Cuisine - contemporary French and Northern Lights - pub which I hear is opening back up soon). All my neighbors have been friendly faces in the halls and Antonio in the office always has a smile. It’s what city living should be, a neighborhood of welcoming people, walking around everywhere and within close proximity to what’s quickly becoming a major-city downtown again (now we need real mass transit to go with the pieces we have).
Shaina Herbert: The Boulevard is such a dope spot in Detroit. I was given a tour by Mariena, and she made me feel right at home. She was very detailed and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The whole team was very welcoming overall. I’ve heard great things so I had to go see for myself! Thank you Boulevard team!
Anam Ansari: I lived at the boulevard apartments for a year and enjoyed my stay. The amenities are new and very nice. It’s a very Safe apartment complex with awesome garage parking. I don’t have any negative things to say, I highly recommend living here.
Courtney Pearce: This place was recommended to me by a friend so I came and toured the building. The space is nice and the amenities were awesome. Mariena was also really helpful in showing me around! May be moving here in the future.
Kelsey Foote: My amazing friend Mariena lives here and recommended I take a tour - it's amazing! Clean, modern, PERFECT location, and the amenities are great. Definitely my first choice for living in Detroit!
Brianna Morck: The boulevard was super clean and the first home to my newborn son! I felt so safe alone with him knowing there was security around the clock, and you had to have a key fob to enter the building or go up the elevators. Mariena was extremely helpful when she saw me struggling with varying the baby and multiple items she would go out of her way to open the elevator for me so I didn’t have to put things down then pick them back up until I got to my door. 10 out of 10 recommended this place for any other mother’s out there looking for a clean and safe place in the metro Detroit area!
Jonathan Johnson: This was the greatest experience I’ve had renting in Michigan. The unit was exactly as advertised, with an excellent view, and the greatest amenities. The courtyard was perfect for grilling on a hot day and snowball fights in the winter time. On more than one occasion we enjoyed the night playing pool and lounging in the game room, and I was able to keep up with my workout regiment the entire time all without ever leaving the building. Mariena was extremely tentative. She was always responsive and would even let us know if we had Amazon packages arrive. When it’s time to move back to Detroit I will most definitely be coming back to the boulevard!
Daniela Borges: This apartment is beautiful and exactly how it looks online. Everyone at the leasing office has been polite and professional. A special thank you to Leo from the leasing office who went above and beyond for me and helped me move my couch in!
Emma Weatherholt: I’ve lived a lot of places and there has never been a place like this one. It checks off all my boxes.Everyone here from the manger, to the front desk, maintenance, and the people that live there are just truly amazing. I was one of the first people to move in and I haven’t been disappointed once.(Id love to give names but honestly everyone that works for the boulevard is truly amazing)Even during this pandemic; they are always keeping you updated and answering questions. If you need something fixed or have questions or a problem it is addressed right away in such a positive way.Just by far an amazing place.
Jace R: Hard to recommend a place that doesn't respect privacy. Landlord barged into my place unannounced and was apathetic and rude to me the entire time we spoke. Would recommend looking elsewhere in the area.
Edward Cho: Shaina, Jamison and Chelsea are the best! I moved from the Pacific Northwest and they have done everything possible to make this move as easy as possible.
Alexis: This apartment complex is so nice! The girl who i went on tour with Shaina showed me the 1 bedroom . The work out roomis fully equipped, spacious and it has mirrors! Love that! The washer/dryer being inside the apartment is on my list as well as a the gym. The location is perfect, its close to my job. I loved the tour so much she was very sweet I'm looking forward to moving here.
Justine Hawkins: This apartment is really nice with amazing features, the gym facility and common space is beautiful. There coffee and hot drinks are phenomenal!! Jamison and his team are really helpful, our business has been utilizing an apartment space for a few months now and its been nothing short of an amazing experience. Definitely highly recommend checking out this space.

St. Regis House Apartments: what do users think?
Michelle Gardner: Management never responds. Expect to reach out every day for a solid week or so through various mediums (call, email, attempting to show up to the office in-person only to find an empty locked room) before getting maintenance requests resolved or other general complaints. Also, the elevators *never* work simultaneously. Maybe they did for a solid 3 months out of the 4 years I’ve lived here. Speaking of maintenance, better hope things break only twice a week because those are the only times maintenance is available.Upsides: rent is affordable for the area and there’s no noisy neighbors (just noisy hotel guests and rude hotel staff).Update 9/11: this place charges $125/mo per parking spot. Just called the tow company since someone from the hotel is yet again parked in my spot. Guess what? No tow company for the last THREE years.
Danielle Dirks: I've been at St Regis for several years now and I still adore it. The building was restored to perfection a few years ago and has kept so many of its relics (like the historic vault when you first enter the lobby).New Center is up and coming. Being so close to the Fisher Building is pure magic and the addition of Supino's Pizzeria, Milwaukee Caffe, Urbanum, and so many cute shops on Woodward make this neighborhood super walkable and pup-friendly.The property management company shepherded the residents through the pandemic safely and seamlessly. The current team (Kati the Community Manager and Zach the Property Manager) is fantastic and their response times and professionalism are a much welcomed breath of fresh air. This summer weekend my AC went out and Zach not only responded within minutes, he had an HVAC contractor out within 45 minutes to address the issue immediately. So beyond grateful to not only for the AC to return, but the knowledge that the building management treats their residents kindly and takes care of the building as well.So grateful to have a wonderful space in the city and can't wait to see all that comes next for this neighborhood and building!
Jupiter Zhang: Nice place. I live here for two years. Everything is clean and new.
Katrina King: I’ve applied to a unit & gave the 150 holding fee for this place almost 3 weeks ago and have gotten no response back. I’ve tried calling several times every day and get no response, I also tried emailing. Poor management, I can imagine how long maintenance would take.
Ali Rastegarpour: We lived here for four years from 2016-2020 and have seen a few changes in management. I have to say that during this period I have nothing bad to say about any of the managers. They have always been super helpful people and the apartment was always the most welcoming place for us. The neighbors here were great. The apartment complex is very safe and conveniently located in New Center with great access to Wayne State, Detroit Medical Center, and Henry Ford Hospital. We had no problems in the unit itself which was newly renovated with in-unit washer-dryers, and we frequently utilized the community room for gatherings pre-COVID, which was very accessible and available. The southern view of Detroit was beautiful and the rooms received good light. The neighboring St Regis Hotel is a local staple, and the restaurant and bar, the Music Room, is great for when you need a bite or a drink and don't want to leave the building!
Carolyn Mozheeva: Great place to live. The layout of the apartments is well designed for maximum use of space. There are large windows and an in unit washer/dryer. Half of the walls are concrete so we have no issues with noise from neighbors. The staff is very responsive and friendly. You actually see them working every day in the lobby at their office so you can stop in and talk if needed. They make a great effort of doing little events and gestures to make you feel welcome and included in the community. The location is great as it is a minutes walk from the Q-line which you can take directly downtown. There is gated parking and it is very close to the Fisher building and the freeway.
David Kajmowicz: New building with great amenities. Love the spot on Grand Blvd too and just outside is the Q line!
Steven Collareno: Just moved in a few weeks ago. Move in process is really nice and easy. They give you a small cart to help you move in and allow you to park close to the door when moving in. The apartment itself is modern and looks really nice. All the appliances are updated. Staff is readily available-Alan and Taela are awesome.
Erynn Wahlgren: We moved here from out of state, sight unseen and could not be happier. The apartment and building are comfortable with nice touches throughout. The staff is wonderful. Maintence is prompt. The location is second to none. We are less than a block away from the Q Line (A trolley that travels from New Center to Downtown via Woodward Avenue) which makes getting to the office a snap. We have easy freeway access to M10, I-75, and I-94. The bike storage is very nice and has an air pump. The Fisher Building is One block over and the Secretary of State is across the street ... and a decent gym is a very short walk as well. The amenities and convenience of this location are hard to beat. Regis Houze has far exceeded my expectations.
Evan Morgan: Its great, modern renovations to a classic building in New Center Detroit. Great service/management team!
Chris Binno: My roommate and I had a wonderful experience living here! The location in New Center, Detroit is perfect! - close to the Fisher Building, Cadillac Place, Wayne State University, short drive to the major highways, and good food in the area. There was also a gym kiddie-corner to the building which I used everyday. The apartments are very modern and newly renovated. The lobby is gorgeous and has a really cool old fashioned bank vault on display. I used the indoor bike garage the whole time I lived here. The community room is newly decorated and has an awesome kitchen, lounge, bathrooms, and a billiards table. We had a laundry machine and dishwasher in our apartment which made living super convenient! Keeley, Jimmie, Susana, Evan, and the housekeeping staff are all awesome and made living here a great experience!

Central Park Apartments: what do users think?
Tyler Fleetwood: Location is perfect but the better part of three years there’s been no pool or fully functional laundry. Sure would be nice, but the exact words of ownership are “these are amenities and nothing more, these are not guaranteed to work or be available.”
Angelina Cicchella: Having rented apartments in Detroit for the past 10 year, I can easily say that Central Park has been the best experience. The location is perfect (especially with my two dogs) and the building and staff are excellent. Jeanette has been absolutely amazing to work with since day one. She has been communicative, easy to talk to, and always helpful. It's also nice to say hi to her dog Broadway when I swing by the office. This is by far the best place I've lived in Detroit and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place in the city, beautiful parks, and fantastic management.
Phyllis Kuhn: Central Park Apt., Detroit, MI is an Awesome Place to live. Family oriented community, good for children, elderly and pet friendly . Conveniently located near Schools, Grocery Market, Restaurants, Parks, Downtown and so much more. With many years of experience, the Property Mgr., Jeannette Evans has provided Outstanding Management, Comfortable, Clean and Safe living at Central Park Apts. If you are looking for an awesome place to live, become part of a great community here. 😃
Alexes Jones: I have been living here for little over a year now and i feel at home with central park apartments. They are very nice inside and out and i feel safe in the community. There is a lot of police presence so it makes me feel good about being in the area. Normally, I'm the type to move around when i feel as though the place served its purpose for me but central park apartments is a beautiful place to live in and I plan on continuing my stay here for a while. The management is on point and they care about all their tenants. Broadway is literally the sweetest dog ever! If you're looking for a nice affordable place to stay i would definitely stay here!
anthony speeks: Good place to live.
Corrina Kostrzewa: Central Park Apartments is a great place to live! Really close to the Dequindre Cut, Meijer Rivertown Market, and downtown. Jeannette is an amazing property manager and is always really quick to respond and help out in any way she can.
J. Gilmore: I really enjoyed my two years living at Central Park Apartments. It was my first apartment and first time living on my own and I couldn't have asked for a better place. If I hadn't decided to take a big leap and try living overseas for a while, I'd still be there :)-Peaceful, quiet neighbors (99% of the time)- Responsive management- Safe area, gated parking- Maintenance requests were generally responded to in a timely manner (the bathtub was in need of an update, though)- Excellent location for walks to the river, Eastern Market, in/around downtown
AkbarGaming TV: Jeanette is the best property manager. If your looking to move here, it's very peaceful and quiet. If you have any problems with your unit, Maintenance gets to you as quick as possible! I Also been living here for 2 years now, Haven't had any complaints.
Katy Beno: Perfect first apartment! Could not have imagined anything better or more convenient for the last few years. Great, attentive, and responsive management; any and all issues were always addressed and fixed in a timely manner. As a young woman, I always felt safe with the added security measures that many other places don't offer. Overall my experience at Central Park Apartments was a great one, and I will sure miss this welcoming, safe, and homey apartment. And of course Broadway, too!
Jerel Simmons: Like it
Anood Alshehhi: Lived there for a year, everyone was fantastic since the day we moved in until our move out. Jeannette and Broadway were amazing she is always there for any assistance. We had an issue one day and Tee came to fix it immediately!
Kevin Ramsey: Jeannette made my move to Central Park super easy and made sure I was able to move in on time. From the first time I visited the property I was blown away at how nice it was. I look forward to making Central Park my home all thanks to Jeannette’s assistance. I can’t say thank you enough Jeannette!!!
Rachel W: This place is awesome! Of course the location is amazing (close to downtown but on a quiet street), but what really sets it apart is the staff. Jeanette in the leasing office takes a personal interest in the residents and goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. I leased for a short period and decided to extend because this place served me so well.
Megan Brogan: Bad
Grace Henry: I have nothing but great things to say about this complex! Jeannette works so hard and you can really tell how much she cares about her residents (it's also a bonus when her sweet dog Broadway is in office!) It's a great location - $5 uber or a quick walk downtown, 2 minute stroll through the park to the new meijer rivertown market or lafayette foods AND the Dequindre Cut (pedestrian trail to riverfront and eastern market) entrance is steps away. Pet friendly, pool, amazing square footage, affordable, great view of the renaissance center, green space, easy guest parking, secure, AND quick & kind maintenance staff. I love living here and will stay as long as I'm living in Detroit.
Erika Brown: Staff was very nice and timely with appt to see apartments. The new design looks beautiful...So I left this review 4 year ago when I went for my tour to move in and have not regretted living here. It is right outside of downtown with a wonder view from your front balcony.
Marc Andonian: Great place;
Sam m: Pet friendly, nice area, price is reasonable for location. Bring right next to a park and walking distance from downtown, dequindre cut and multiple stores in walking distance has been great. Gated parking is more affordable then any other place in the area, and there is a small fenced in area designed for dogs with clean up station, plus gym, pool, and parcel lockers for packages. Management was accommodating and patient, especially during pandemic struggles.
LifeofZay: Our family (wife and 2 cats) have lived at Central Park for almost 3 years and we love it here. The staff (Jeanette and the team) are EXTREMELY friendly and attentive. We initially rented out a one bedroom and then after a year transitioned into a 2 bedroom because we loved it here so much. Both apartments were well maintained and spacious. We love the convenience of being next to downtown but most importantly we love the relaxed and quiet neighborhood. There are a couple convenience stores across the street and recently the Meijer Riverside Market has opened up on the street behind the complex and it’s AMAZING. There is a lovely park next to us that we love to take walks on as well as the Dequindre Cut on the other side, which always has great events going on. We will be renewing our lease for a fourth year because we are beyond satisfied with the location, our apartment, and the staff. (Also, make sure to say hi to Broadway the dog when you visit!)
KIZZY SNYDER: I was here visiting. The apartment I went to was small and cute. Only a young couple lived there so that was ok. Now she did have 2 blinds that kept falling and she said that they both reached out to maintenance a few times and no one has came yet. So maintenance may be a problem there. Its a gated apartment so that's great security. You need a key pod to open the gate. And its a pool. Thats great in my book. Its close to a Dollar General, Thai Restaurant, grocery store and a few other places. I don't know if they have more than one bed rooms but if I was starting out or just single and don't need a lot of space, I would try to live there.
Rizka Aprilia: I've lived in Central Park Apartments for about 1 1/2 year. I picked this apartment mostly due to its distance to my office, which was a high selling point for me. Unfortunately, since I moved during the start of COVID-19 pandemic, my office had to close and I had to work from home until now. I didn't have any complaints in the beginning of my stay. Jeanette was always very quick in responding my questions. I've had some issues when I moved in, but it was resolved in a timely manner. She even let me move to a bigger unit when my partner decided to move in with me. However, I started seeing more issues later on. For example, we requested for maintenance to unclog our sink. But, our request was later denied without any explanations. When we requested again months later, we then got our sink unclogged. Just days before we moved out of the apartment, our internet line was cut without any notice. My partner and I both work from home, so the fact that our internet line got cut out of the blue on a Thursday was very frustrating to us. We talked to Jeanette about this and she said that our internet line was a tripping hazard. While I understood the reason why it had to be cut, I did not appreciate that we were not given any notice about it. While trying to figure out this issue, Jeanette didn't bother to apologize to us and simply told us to contact our internet provider. A couple days after this, my partner and I drove back to Central Park Apartment to return our keys. Months before we moved out, we told Jeanette that we will be returning our keys on Monday, 9/20. We knocked her door, and no one was there to answer the door. We waited for about 30 minutes and no one showed up, so we decided to drive home and email Jeanette about this. We later found out that she had an emergency matter she had to take care off so she had to leave early. She didn't communicate this at all with us. As much as I wanted to give this place a 4 or 5 star, the lack of communication between management and the residents are ridiculous. I guess you do get what you pay for.

The Griswold: what do users think?
Brendan M Brogan: Chantal and Terrell make the place a home. As do the neighbors under Colleen’s command at the Park Rite in the building below. If life were fair, these folks would all get a raise.
Matthew Spickler: Lived in the Griswold for 5 years. Truly enjoyed my experience. Chantal and Terrell took great care of the building and tenants. Air conditioning was always great.
Kirby Mendola: Chantal was very easy to work with and I didn't have any significant issues with the building throughout my stay. I just had a significant challenge getting my security deposit back and corporate was not responsive to my inquiries which made it very difficult.
Kiara Phelps: Management is great, apartment is great. However, the elevators never work. I live on the lowest floor possible (11), and hiking up the stairs is BRUTAL.
Alyssa Wright: Chantal and Terrell went above and beyond to make my 2 years at the Griswold such a great experience. They were both so professional and kind, and they will do anything to make their residents feel at home!
Liz Moore: My husband and I have lived at the Griswold for 2 years and it has been the best experience. Great location, convenient parking, spacious units, and lots of natural light. Awesome views if you can get a higher floor. Chantal and Terrell truly care about the residents - they have been incredibly helpful, responsive, and dedicated to resident safety/happiness. Highly recommend to anyone looking to live downtown Detroit!
Aunna Pourang: Chantal and Tyrell are awesome and super professional, kind and accommodating. They have been super responsive and helpful. The apt and building are beautiful with great views of downtown Detroit. In a great area with nice restaurants and shops. I am moving back to Detroit in a year and have already been asking about how I can lease an apt at The Griswold ASAP!
Marisa Menna: CHANTEL was amazing!! I currently live in the Griswold and have zero complaints about the property and management. It feels like home and a great location! Very pleased 10000/10 :)
James Jurecki: Chantal and Tyrell were wonderful to work with! It was an incredible 1.5 yrs. living there and highly recommend anyone looking to enjoy the Downtown Detroit lifestyle to call Chantal immediately.
Daniel Lentz: I'm from Farmington Hills originally and left Detroit for 13 years. Upon returning back to Michigan, I couldn't resist living downtown for 12 months to soak in how cool the city has become. The building and atmosphere were amazing but the staff of Chantal and Tyrell were what made The Griswold feel like home. They handled everything inside of the building and were beyond responsive and caring. You could tell they both were invested in the well-being of their tenants and their actions proved it. If I didn't have to grow up, I'd never leave.
Amir Jabalameli: have lived at the Griswold for about a year!Great experience from beginning to end!-- The apartments are less than 2-3 years old and all the appliances are almost new,- - Great location and nice views,-- You barely hear noises in your apt,-- Maintenance Requests are handled pretty quick,-- Common areas are always clean,-- Management and staff were responsive and nice,-- Never had issues with the elevators. There’s literally nothing to complain about!
Zack McDermott: If you like a building with one elevator from the parking garage, and enjoy being forced to walk up flights of stairs after it breaks, then this is the building for you.
Roni Leibovitch: Griswold and Michigan Ave is a highly underrated corner within the spokes of Detroit pavement. Enjoy a Europeanesque Capitol Park to your north, or a century-old rivalry to your south vis-a-vis American v Lafayette.

35W: what do users think?
Laurie McLachlan: Read carefully before moving in. The apartment is beautifully designed and the the building is well maintained and super secure. The neighborhood is vibrant with much to explore and do.This is NOT a smoke-free building. The lease prohibits smoking but my apartment has smelled like smoke due to residents ignoring the rule. It can be hard to bare at times as it comes through the vents into my bedroom. The lease you will sign contains the following language:"THERE IS NO WARRANTY OF A SMOKE FREE ENVIRONMENT. Although we prohibit smoking in all interior parts of the apartment community, there is no warranty or guaranty of any kind that your apartment or the apartment community is smoke free."Also, it is insanely LOUD. The garbage trucks come down the back alley at 4:30 every morning and you'll hear the beeping trucks and dumpster after dumpster crashing to the ground for about 30 min. Woodward Ave is used as a racetrack on weekends and you'll hear motorcycles and cars roar and their loud music until well past midnight when it's not freezing outside. If you own a bike, you’ll need to find another place to park it. Or, you can maneuver around to make it fit in the tiny elevator and store it in your apartment.Your furniture may not fit in the elevator. It's tiny and there is no service elevator. All of that said - I appreciate the modern amenities at 35w. If you ever have even the smallest issue, the service team is ON IT. So professional and so quick to resolve it.

New Center Plaza Apartments: what do users think?
Shayla Petite: I wouldn’t move here. The office staff is very unprofessional and rude. There’s only one person running the office and that’s Wendy. She is nice at first to get your money and once it’s gotten, total 180. It’s like Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Maintenance is never there. She doesn’t update you about your apartment if you’re moving in. I applied Dec 1st 2021 and was set to move Jan 1st 2022 no updates, I had to call after christmas just to find out my date would be pushed back to Jan 8. Which that wasn’t even a guarantee. The boss Jennifer who is over Wendy is just as rude, actually worse. Wendy couldn’t even remember my name or get it right. Unacceptable. When asked to refund my deposit she gave me the wrong info so when I called back she was rude about it and said there’s nothing she can do I just have to wait. Not to mention the doors on the apartments are a thin slab of wood which anybody can kick in. And there is no where to park unless you want to pay $30-$40 extra to park in a lot full of potholes. Save yourself the hassle and just go elsewhere. You’ll be dodging a bullet.
Kelsey: Neighborly, safe block
