Best Bachelorette Parties In Detroit Near Me

Erin Matheson: Planned a bachelorette party and set up for 15 women to attend one of the shows they had went to book it and I couldn’t find the date. I contacted them and got a text then was told they postponed it till the next month leaving me with 15 girls and nothing to do. When I asked if they had any other events around the area that night she never answered back. I was about to spend over $600 plus drinks for 15 women and they didn’t even have enough respect to make other recommendations or alternatives when asked. Most likely will be booking several guys for a room but not from these people. Who knows if anyone will even show they way they run the business.Update- after I posted this review they added another show for this same date. I was excited. I spent over $700 booking a table. Realized the week of that there was still no location on the show. Called them up to get info and once again no one contacted me back. Then the show was no longer visible online. A few days before the event I find out the cancelled it again due to low ticket sales. Well maybe if you didn’t keep cancelling the show and had actual locations it would have sold. I had to contact them through messaging. They offered to send A(as in one) stripper to the hotel room instead. Uhhhhh for $700 or I could wait 10 days for a refund. Horrible unprofessional business. Left me with nothing to do for a bachelorette party since it was now too late to make any other arrangements. Made me look horrible.

Justin Monroe: I have previously visited this establishment on one occasion. The atmosphere was enjoyable and the experience was good, but I was served the incorrect drink along with a few others. Despite this, we chose not to raise the issue as securing a table can be challenging.Recently, I was part of a group of 6 who dined at this location for a work event after dining at Prime + Proper. We had made a reservation in advance and were informed that we would be seated next as a table of 6 was finishing their meal. Unfortunately, the phone used for the reservation died, so we called from a different number to inform the staff of the change.During the call, a member of our party made an off-handed remark about the cold weather outside, which included the use of a mild expletive. This was not directed at the bar and was simply a general observation about the temperature. When we asked about the status of the table, we were told that our party would be seated soon.However, after waiting in the cold for an additional 20 minutes, a group of 4 arrived and were seated immediately. Upon mentioning our prior reservation and wait time to the host, we were told that our party would not be seated due to the use of an expletive on the phone. This seemed unfair and contradictory as we were previously told we would be seated soon.As a group who frequently dines at upscale restaurants and enjoys fine drinks during work events, we were disappointed with the way the situation was handled. The host's demeanor appeared to be unprofessional and overly authoritative, which left a negative impression on usOne may expect to encounter more capable hosts at a chain restaurant.

M: it really was an excellent experience. i was kind of skeptical about a rationed british naval rum and its price point, but after experiencing the other drinks and the bar as a whole, its probably amazing. the only thing i could even attempt to be a bother about is the especially crummy alley you have to endure to get to the door; beyond speakeasy.

George Viju: One of the best bars in Michigan! It’s a bit pricey but totally worth the experience. Our bartender Luca was amazing and very knowledgeable regarding experimenting with various unique flavor profiles.

The presentation was gorgeous and the little side flairs they add to each one are amazing. The drink came with spicy chili tamarind candy and I could sit and eat a bowl of them. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and quick with service. Ordering off the menu is just as good. I also ordered a bourbon base old fashioned and it was perfect. This might be the most expensive drink you have had but it’s worth it for a splurge.

Edward Jackson: This place is great the service is excellent with a great cocktail menu. The venue is small and intimate but I love the exclusivity. The only thing I can complain about is the front receptionist can use better people skills. This bar is one of my favorites in the area I would recommend it.

Donald Radabaugh: I always brag about Lumen. Never had a bad experience until Wednesday night. Food quality dropped and prices rose. The prices now don't match the product and the quality has never been lower. I could write a novel about this experience but I'll just say I hope whatever changes have been recently made are reversed. It will be a good, long while before I return. I skittish about Lumen now. Our server was great. It's not a service issue. It's quality and price, specifically quality.

Todays Present: We loved our dinner here. And we really enjoyed the service. Brianna was a superb waitress. I appreciated that she has tried everything on the menu and was able to give helpful insight. She genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal and experience. The pasta with salmon was delicious! I really enjoyed the flavors and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The burger was very flavorful with the softest bun. The calamari was just okay...I wouldn't order it again. Mac and cheese was great and the brownies were the perfect treat especially warmed up! I would absolutely come again and recommend to others.

Her service was good, but she didn’t wanna talk, nor did she seem happy to be working. The chicken wing seemed to be old as they were very chewy, never once have I had chewy wings. The burgers that were ordered well done were also burned and my friend that ordered medium got his well done. The only thing I enjoyed here was the meatballs and the fires. Overall, the atmosphere is very nice inside, but the food wasn’t good for the price.

The troubles began even before the food arrived, stemming from a rather poorly managed environment and less-than-adequate service.Upon being seated, we were immediately faced with a disheartening sight: neighboring tables in disarray, dirty, with cleaning supplies carelessly strewn about. An unsightly beginning that was far from the welcome one would expect from a reputable restaurant.Our server, an older woman, was far from accommodating. When we pointed out the messy surroundings and asked for tidying up, her response was one of visible annoyance. What should have been a basic service request was met with apparent indifference. More than ten minutes passed before our request was begrudgingly attended to, and only after a second reminder.Regrettably, the shortcomings of the evening were not confined to service and cleanliness. The food, a supposed redeeming factor, fell significantly short of expectations. Our dishes lacked flavor, with the taste profiles bordering on the side of bland. A particularly disappointing example was an avocado tart that was so poorly presented we felt compelled to return it. For a restaurant that is supposed to provide a high-quality dining experience, the food was a letdown.Overall, it was a waste of time and money. Until significant improvements are made, I find it hard to recommend this establishment.

HK S: I wanted to provide a feedback about my experience at Apparatus room on Feb 19th.We were seated at the long chairs in the back of the restaurant. When I enquired about table #44 with the waiter and then with the host she told me that it is reserved. I asked how is it so when I had made the reservation and I was explicitly told that table 44 is what would be reserved for me. She said she didn't see anything in the notes. I asked her "how would I even know about a table #44 if someone didn't tell me about it from the restaurant?" She didn't seem to have any cognizance of what is being told to her and was insinuating that I had not made a reservation because she said that people at table #44 had made the reservation. So then I enquired about another table which was empty and requested if we could be moved there. After initial refusal and me wanting to talk with the manager, we were moved to table #45.This seems very poor customer service skills by not acknowledging that the mistake was on the restaurant's side. I even showed the email interaction between the restaurant and myself to the waiter who was initially talking with us.For food, I got the celery dish. The dish was very salty. I told our waiter and all she said was she will let the chef know. There were limited vegetarian options on the menu and everything had pungent, vinegar like smell in it; the bread and crispy potatoes (which btw were not crispy at all). No way this dish should even be on the menu. It was one of the weirdest dishes I have ever tried.Ultimately our night didn't go as we had planned and food was definitely disappointing to say the least.After I emailed the restaurant about my experience, I was told that someone from management will reach out to me to discuss my experience which never happened. I'll not be going back to this restaurant or recommend anyone.

tammy wu: I paid $48 dollars for halibut, and I am still hungry. We spent $183 not including tip and my tummy is literally still growling. We ate bread with butter, beef carpaccio, flank steak, very soggy and wet cold fries, and halibut. We ordered the mains and sides as per the waitress’ recommendation. The portions are TINY. The halibut was littered with spring onions and regular onions which I did not eat. I still want to kiss my date after this meal. They garnished it with 6 peas. The “new potato” is VERY THINLY SLICED garnishing potato with zero seasoning. The only thing that was truly edible was the tiny portion of fish for $48 which was average at best. My dish was also the most expensive??? We are on our way to pick up something to fill me up on the way back to our hotel or else I’m having sleep for dinner. Tragic meal.

We were also told that in Detroit all drinks use 2oz of liquor- when in fact the drink is equal parts at 3/4-1oz each. Troubling and very disappointing. I expect more from Detroit.
