I had a 6:00 appt. She was kind enough to ask me to come at 6:30. I arrive at 6:30 no one answers the door. I knock on the door, call, text no response from her. I wait in front of the salon Until 7:15. Finally she texts back only to advise she actually is in the building doing hair and if I can come back at 8:30. First off you knew your client was arriving at 6:30 where was the courtesy call to advise I'm running severely behind. I would never patronize this hairstylist!Service:Hairstyling

Golden Moon: I went for a wash, cut and style. Nashelle did my service, she is amazing! I been having problems with dry scalp, my hair is waist length and has been breaking off. Nashelle did a full assessment of my scalp and head, and she told me where the breakage was, and told me what I should use to get my scalp healed. She came up with a treatment plan fix it. After two weeks I see a huge difference even the breakage is less. She knows what she’s talking about, knows how to care for a variety of hair types and can figure out how to fix your hair issues. The salon itself is super chill, it’s open and laid back vibe, I really relax when I go. Prices are very very good for the quality of care. My new salon :)Services:Haircut,Hairstyling

CJ Williams: This was one of the WORST experiences we've encountered. I was referred to Fame by another client to start my son's loc journey, so I assumed his work was good and he was professional. This was not our experience at all.We arrived at our appointment on time, at noon, however, Fame still had someone in his chair... half finished. We sat there waiting for an hour for him to finish that person. At no time did he apologize for being late or give me a heads-up. He answered his phone several times once he did start working on my son, so why he couldn't shoot a message to tell me he was that behind is beyond me.You'd think once he was done with the last client, he would start on my son's hair right away, NOPE! He told me he ran out of gel and needed to run to get some more before starting 😪 So that means sitting there waiting even longer.An hour and fifteen minutes later, he finally starts on my son's hair. While he did work fast, I wish he would have taken his time. These are starter locs. Do y'all see how horrible the parts are?! I am completely blown away at how poor of a job he did. The kicker? I was still charged full price given the wait & sloppy work, and he had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to schedule another appointment. Yes, with someone else more professional who can hopefully clean up his parts when he needs a re-twist. As a first-time client, Fame was extremely unprofessional, inconsiderate, and sloppy. He did nothing to make me want to return or recommend his services. I don't know how he was bragging about all his 5-star reviews, because I would give this zero stars if I could.Update based on the owner's reply: The first pic was done by Fame. The 2nd pic is coils done by someone else. No matter how the hair is styled, the original parts should be neat and straight. I can update the picture to show the sloppiness of the parts when the style is taken down. I was notified after waiting 45 mins already that you "were almost done". Communication is everything. My time is money just like it is yours. The time waited AND style is why I am displeased with my experience. It was too late to express his (my son's) displeasure with your work when given the mirror because it was already done, what was he going to say? Start over? Come on.
