Kashyap Sigdel: Possibly the best hospitality I've ever received at a restaurant. Everyone did a fantastic job. Food was great and ambiance was great as well. Food portions are a little small so I'd recommend getting more than you think you need. The place was packed when we went for dinner on a Tuesday, so it was a little loud, but other than that, I'd give this restaurant 10 stars!

I'm glad they have a menu that isn't overwhelming, because I already feel major FOMO when picking what to get! My husband an I cam back for our anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond. We'll continue to be return customers for many years.Dietary restrictions: My husband and I had a minimony where we had our immediate family witness our legally binding wedding ceremony (the courthouse was still shut down for weddings due to COVID) at a gallery in the DIA. We chose Chartreuse for dinner afterward, partially due to proximity, but also because the menu looked great, and they were willing to work with a number of different dietary restrictions for everyone in the group. Everyone left giving rave reviews! Meal ingredients were either tweaked or the rare dish that couldn't be made without the trigger/allergen was struck off the family member's menu. Above and beyond for 3 people with highly specific dietary needs.

Brandon Gomes: Great menu, food was tasty. We had four dishes, including dessert plus a couple of cocktails. The chartreuse was a great new experience, tried the green and the yellow, amazing in cocktails. The shareable plates model is great, although it is better for some dishes more than others. But the service was great, the atmosphere was awesome (definitely recommend for dinner dates), and the flavors here are lovely. A little overzealous with the microgreens in my opinion but overall worth it.

Pavlov Iryna: This place made my Birthday with a spark. Let me tell you this, I never come back to places with poor service. well this place is great! Hostess was super sweet and gave me a birthday card that was signed by the servers, it was so sweet! Our server was super nice, cool and friendly. Food was amazing, it is perfect for everyone who appreciate a good cuisine. They have a seasonal menu which is always interesting! Bar is great as well. My husband and I are cocktail buffs and pretty picky ones, and their cocktails are delicious and in point. The place itself has a character too, sort of rustic French in one of the old Detroit building. Overall it’s a good restaurant for this who appreciate good food and good drinks. Recommend!

Donald Radabaugh: I always brag about Lumen. Never had a bad experience until Wednesday night. Food quality dropped and prices rose. The prices now don't match the product and the quality has never been lower. I could write a novel about this experience but I'll just say I hope whatever changes have been recently made are reversed. It will be a good, long while before I return. I skittish about Lumen now. Todays Present: We loved our dinner here. And we really enjoyed the service. Brianna was a superb waitress. I appreciated that she has tried everything on the menu and was able to give helpful insight. She genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal and experience. The pasta with salmon was delicious! I really enjoyed the flavors and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The burger was very flavorful with the softest bun. The calamari was just okay...I wouldn't order it again. Mac and cheese was great and the brownies were the perfect treat especially warmed up! I would absolutely come again and recommend to others.

joe31400: I heard really good things about this place, but I had a terrible experience. First off, the waiter seemed very rude, didn’t seem like she wanted to be working. Her service was good, but she didn’t wanna talk, nor did she seem happy to be working. The chicken wing seemed to be old as they were very chewy, never once have I had chewy wings. The burgers that were ordered well done were also burned and my friend that ordered medium got his well done. The only thing I enjoyed here was the meatballs and the fires. Overall, the atmosphere is very nice inside, but the food wasn’t good for the price.

moe khereddine: Valet issue - I was walking with my wife and my kid down the street on Saturday around 7:30pm while 2 valet gentleman with blue shirt were standing outside the restaurant. Water was leaking out of the plant pot by the door so we decided to move and not step on the water. Out of nowhere valet guy was shouting this is water water water water more than 6 times and he was mocking us thinking that we did speak English due to my wife wearing a scarf while his customers and the other valet were standing and laughing. To the restaurant: have a small conversation with your valet contractor and inform them of the situation. This is downtown Detroit the valet guys encounters lawyers and law people walking down the street on a daily basis and they never know who might they run into.

Ken Coulter: I went last weekend with my family for mother day. I had to put down a $125 deposit that was suppose to go towards my bill. It did not. I was then told I was going to be getting a refund for the $125, it has now been 7 days without refund nor reciept that one was issued. I have called everyday since Tuesday and each day I would get two young ladies who seemed very annoyed I was calling for my money. I was told that it was on the gm desk on Tuesday and Wednesday and still have not heard back from anyone. Between the rude hostess when we arrived, to the watered down drinks, and now this LCH has definitely lost my future business. I would just like to have my money back and move on.

Takica Lee: Food was average at best so severely overpriced. I told them it was my birthday and they tried to seat me in a booth with a baby in a carrier next to me. Stop seating people so closely just so you can shove as many diners in as possible. The only bright spots were the doorman, whose inviting and pleasant demeanor leads you to believe the whole experience is going to be as great, and the carryout containers that make great Tupperware.
