Detroit Blues Cafe: what do users think?
Darrin Williams: They were open for business or so we thought. We were charged a cover only for it to close less than 2 hrs later (around midnight)because they were “slow” that night. Liquor is not free poured, rather it’s measured with that mechanism. They were mopping and never turned the lights down.. smh.. I had a couple dollars on me and family with me.. They lost out on a few schillings.. I won’t be returning.. Black operated shouldn’t be synonymous with ghetto.

Marsha Saine-Tarver: We the Moorish American Moslems celebrated the life of our dear brother and held his repass at Detroit Blues Cafe. Moslems from all over came together in celebration of his life. It was a joyous occasion. The environment was wonderful, our people were all beautifully dressed, the food was delicious, the beverages were pleasant and the music was popping. We laughed, danced and ate together. Thank you Detroit Blues Cafe for providing a venue so warm and welcoming. Sister M. Tarver EL

Brian Ross: We saw an afternoon show at the Fox, needed a place to grab dinner, and happily stumbled upon Cliff Bell's (which is just around the corner). Interesting cocktails, excellent food, and (most importantly) exquisite jazz will have us coming back for more! Catch an early show at the Fox, then get dinner and a world-class jazz concert at Cliff Bell's

Sonja M: TERRIBLE way too over crowded. Disorganized. The traffic was awful. I left.
MissSD: I love my city SO much! We had an absolute blast. The music, food, people and weather were perfect. The love in the air was palpable! You can BYO everything however they do have food trucks/tables, people selling drinks and other merchandise tables as well.Cash is king but you can use cashless pay.Although we prepared and brought our own food and drinks we ended up buying food and drinks from a vendor there. Everything was smelling and looking SO good we couldn't resist. We were not disappointed on the food or drinks.Absolutely bring some comfy chairs. You provide your own seating.Absolutely wear some comfy clothes and shoes. There is a lady who has 2 portable bathrooms with the portable sink to include soap and paper towels. They didn't smell either. *You pay $1 and get a sticker for the day.Parking is on the streets surrounding the area however there were a couple of open fields where cars could park. While the festival covers a few blocks there is a stage where all of the acts perform. We planted ourselves right on the side and it was a fantastic evening. However people are set up all around doing there own thing. Some bring there own grill and tents. You can still hear the music if you're not sitting by the stage.Lastly, they pass around a bucket...from the stage for donations. This helps to keep it going. PLEASE DONATE.I promise you...you will not be disappointed.#313📍
