Good Cakes and Bakes: what do users think?
Leslie Jackson: Big portions, very tasty I got vegan strawberry crunch cake , cinnamon roll & cookie butter cake. I rate them all a 10!! I’m not vegan but have dairy n egg allergy and I never thought I’ll ever eat anything as real good cake ever again. The vegan red velvet cup was delicious too
Catherine Savel: red velvet!!!!!!!! absolutely smashed it. carrot cake could have been spicier (like more cinnamony?) but it was bangin also. overall the vibes and price and location were killer 3
Deanna Saleh: The GF vegan brownie is hands down the best GF brownie I’ve had!
John Autrey: Tasty cake slices! The cupcakes are delicious as well. The cashier was friendly and informative.
Detroit Red: The vegetarian carrot cake was delicious
Evelyn S: Good Cakes and Bakes … ooo weee.Danielle told me that the baked goods I purchased were going to make me think somebody’s grandma was in the kitchen…she was right. I bake, so I know quality goods. JUST like there’s a fashion BAKED goods place in our area that uses boxed cake mix. I bought four different items but only two pictures are attached. I bought a vegan brownie for a coworker who I asked to give me her honest opinion…she loved the vegan brownie. She said it was delicious and moist; she’d definitely have it again. I shared a spinach, tomato, feta quiche with my sister and she loved it (I wanted it to have more feta, that’s just me). I treated myself to TWO slices of rum cake and a slice of lemon velvet cake. Baaaby, when I tell you that I was excited about my choices. I know I shouldn’t buy a whole cake or go there every week, but I have absolutely found my new bakery for when I want sweets that meet both my approval and desires. The rum cake has the perfect amount of rum; my hand is a little heavier. That lemon velvet cake…I deserved every moist morsel of the three layer cake with real frosting. Rename the place … GREAT CAKES AND BAKES…grandma’s spirit is in the kitchen.
Trina Williams: Not friendly
Kelly Williams: I ordered a cake through Goldbelly and it was good! Cake was fresh and my family loved it
Lillie Patterson: The bakery is nicely set up. It's been a few years since I purchased baked goods from here. This past week I went twice. My 1st purchase was excellent. I decided to make 2 purchases this time. The red velvet cake wasn't that good to me. What I like about management here is that they are willing to provide me with another slice of cake for any inconvenience. I do believe the bakery should start doing samples of their baked goods so customers can see if it's to their liking.
Gene Testimony Hall: Update March 11 2023 (2 Years Later): Every experience has been a great experience since Sonja and I started supporting this establishment 2 years ago! Quality of food and customer service has not decreased!Still HAPPY ♥️🔥💯‼️Gene Testimony Hall(2 Years Previous): Every time I visit this establishment, the food is not only great, but the customer service and professionalism of the store is superb! By the way, my wife LOVES THE VEGAN products!Great Job Team!Gene Testimony Hall
Carla: The Caramel cake is good, so much to choose from
J Eng: I had an organic German chocolate cake shipped to me. The cake tasted great!
kayla Young: Best cupcakes I’ve ever had!!! My friend brought me some strawberry cupcakes and the icing made it!! It was so light and it was not too sweet. I’d go again!
Redrose: I have been calling and emailing and posting what i want on the form but i never get a response. I need a cake for my cousins wedding but i guess we are going elsewhere.
SHAMARA BARRETT: The flavor is perfect. Not too sweet. My kids ate 12 cupcakes in 1 day. I'm also guilty!! They were so good. I had 4 of them at 4 am. It's worth every penny.
Pamela Belding: OMG delicious 😋
Alicia Logan: So today was my first time trying Good Cakes and Bakes. i ordered some cupcakes for Christmas Dinner for my family and they look delicious. I ordered picked up a slice of the Red Velvet cake. It taste a little dry not sure if it had been sitting for a few days. I will try the cupcakes and see what happens......fingercrossed. The person at the counter was very nice and respect and courteous. The environment is nice as well.
Gaming Assassin95: Chocolate chip cookie on point it was a little hard but it was still good.... Breakfast sandwich was dry and has no flavor at all
Marie Davis: Excellent and delicious red velvet and pound cakes delivered in time for Christmas. Fresh and packed perfectly for shipping. Will order again.

For the Love of Sugar: what do users think?
Taliy Sky: Very unique interior with lots of chandelier and light. It’s bright, music was relaxing middle eastern pop folk. We took coffee and a cheesecake. Coffee could be warmer, even though we asked for “extra hot”. But service was friendly and nice.
H H: The vegan and gluten free cake was really good! It was a gift to me from someone, so I didn’t get to see what all they offered.
Rebekah Jones: Stood in the store no one said anything to me or my mother. We just left. They should definitely work on their customer service. I won’t be going back.
Chris McTaggart: This place is excellent.
Rebecca S: I don’t know how this place isn’t a solid 5 stars, but it should be. I don’t usually love bakery cake, this is the only bakery I’ve every been to that I ate alllll the frosting. The buttercream tastes homemade, and is the perfect cake/frosting ratio. Anyone calling this cake dry must not know that cake made with butter with be firm & seem dry when chilled; you need to eat at room temperature. They even offer to bring it up to room temp when you order, and it was very soft and moist. The sweetness is perfect, not overwhelmingly sugary, but perfectly sweet. I had the birthday cake cake, which was delicious, and we got a cookie butter cinnamon roll to go and ate it a day & a half later, and it was still fresh and AMAZING. I really thought it would be way too rich and was thinking we should have stuck with a plain cinnamon roll, but again, perfect. No dry outside without enough frosting, every bite was the perfect ratio of frosting to cinnamon to cookie butter. It’s a good thing I don’t live nearby or I’d go broke and gain 50 pounds in a month. Came back the next day for coffee (iced caramel brûlée latte), and even though I’m not a huge coffee person, I could taste the quality. I’m regretting not getting any cookies or brownies to try those, too. I’ll definitely be back, may even make a special trip. If you’re looking to try a new bakery, you need to go here, you will not regret it.
Big Cash: The owners are so racist it doesn't make sense she doesn't like black peopleAnd attention nothing is made fresh there but the cinnamon rolls and a few cakes everything else is made in garden City and they ship it here I don't know why they charge highest prices and the stuff that you made fresh everything come out of a freezer from 2 weeks ago maybe 4
Nikole Bonevich: Amazing cake!!
Lamya R: Great spot. Yummy Desserts
Michael McBroom: Nice Lil Stop for a Cookie & Coffee
zana snell: I ordered my cake for my birthday with them and I got two flavors triple berry and strawberry short cake. I got my kids to help sample just in case I didn’t like the flavors. I never had anything from them before my kids LOVED them all! I saw some reviews on how some people stated it was dry but I was asked if I would like my cake warmed up before even getting the cake as you could tell they keep the cakes cooled to keep them fresh. The texture was moist and you could tell before eating the slices! Thank you guys for the mystery shopping/review experience! The customer service was great! My son even loved it he stayed the cashier was very nice! I can’t wait to get my birthday cake when the time comes!
Amy Klovski: While we love so many things on the menu… the pup cakes are a huge hit at home for my spoiled dogs. We personal think the banana cake is pretty awesome.
Dante Abdulla: We just got coffe and cookies but it was wonderful. Highly recommended it !
Hassan Berro: Best sweets in the D! Great place for sweet lovers and vegans.
Sophia: This place is amazing! I come here at least once a week. The cookies are always extremely fresh, the macaroons are amazing, the cake variety is perfect and the cinnamon rolls are amazing! They offer to warm them up in the store for you as well. The workers are always nice and welcome as well as answer any questions there is. The cookies are overall my favorite. The parking is usually really easy to find and the walk is always close. They have a good size indoor and outdoor seating accommodating for large or small parties. They also have an amazing gluten free pastry section.
Stephanie Smith: If I could rate higher I would. The macaroons are like eating bites of a cloud that would be in a Willy wonka movie. The Butter Cookie Cinnamon roll fulfilled my sweet tooth for the next year. I would 10/10 recommend if you want any sweet treat in southeast Michigan, come here. You need no other bakery.
R. DaNell: Them red velvet cookies are legit.
Jessica Trail: Picture perfect cakes every time. They are also amazing! Worth any hype you may have heard. 100% would recommend. They are my go-to place for my yearly birthday cakes.
TARA KHALAF: Pretty busy today, they got us and our large order in and out quickly. Can't wait to eat the yummy cake!
Jarrad Holbrook: Great choices, friendly staff.
Brittany Rodgers: I adore this place. It's very cute and has a little section to eat in. The workers are always very friendly and helpful. And have the most adorable personalities. But here's the kicker! The food is amazing!!! I've never had cake from a bakery that I liked as much, except maybe Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken. But seriously yummy. And, while I don't love macarons and didn't try theirs, my kids rave about them. Can't say enough!
Todd Bradford: Amazing food, great service. Good prices

Maria Jimenez: Great selection & prices
Metro Hauling: Great food
Rigoberto Hernandez: German chocolate wss good and a couple pieces of brownie. A little expensive $13.00 them girls working there seem with an attitude. 🤔
audiaux: Good cubano sandwich. Coffee is okay if it isn't made by a teenager. Long wait times for prepared food and can't call in an order. It seems they don't have the service aspect nailed down which is a shame since this place is very conveniently located and if they just worked out how to effectively take care of orders it would go a long way

Milano Bakery and Cafe: what do users think?
J. B.: I was really excited to try this bakery given the reviews. I was disappointed with everything I had, and I tried multiple things. I got a breakfast sandwich and a loaf of italian bread and they were OK. The breakfast sandwich was just kind of dry. The Italian loaf was nice and squishy but didn't have the flavor I was looking for. I also purchased a cannoli, a mini pineapple upside down cake and a chocolate chip cookie of some sort and I think something else. Regardless I honestly didn't like any of it, especially the pineapple upside down cake which had a weird smell and taste. They have plenty of other things, so if you go, try things other than what I got! That's the only suggestion I have for you.
khalil elara: my wife and i been going to saad meat market for more than a year now every time we stop for coffee and muffin staff are very friendly and helpful clean place i am going over there again when they reopen
Steve Gluskin: Great pastriesThe lemon cookies (when they have them) are delicious. I hope they open the cafe again soon
Dwight J Brown: Average dessert, got three different types, Over priced!
Tyneta Elliott: Friendly staff, fresh tasty baked goods.
Crystal Bryant: Every dessert, pastry and soup I’ve consumed from Milano’s for many years has been top notch. I’m sad to hear of their closing.
PinkLady 555: Very good baked goods great for fresh breads and danish rolls lots of cookies and sliced cakes even pies and they have a good lunch menu of sandwiches and soups. But they will be closed starting Jan 16th they are going to be doing renovations so hurry and get your goodie Now
Robert Mason: Awesome find! Friendly staff, reasonable prices, fast service & yummy products!!!
Maurice Adoranti: Great deserts.
camille martin: The fresh bread smells great. Nice lunch spot.
Shannon Black: So many choices. Very good customer service. The sandwiches are outstanding. I really enjoyed all of the baked goods that I've purchased over the years. My only gripe is that the croissants aren't buttery enough and are very dry. Other than that, I highly recommend Milano Bakery and Cafe.
Sherry Berry: Milano had a sign stating a discount on the pound cakes for $10 bucks. They failed to mention that the cakes were 4 days old. The cake was dry as the desert. Money wasted. Expressed my complaint & the lady seemed not to care one way or another....
D Davis: Went to get soup and sandwich for late lunch...the soups are very tasty. The turkey and/or ham and cheese criossants are so fresh. The baked good are excellent. Can't wait to go back for more soup. Just make sure you've got the right order..it can be very busy at the counter!!
james h.: 1/2 sandwich three bites and done 6.00 for three bites not happy
Sheree Woods: Never disappointed with service or food
Alissa Middendorf: What a fun place to stop for treats! So many goodies to choose from! Yum!
Why “DetroitGirlsHustleHarder” Williams: Great place to eat buy cakes, slices etc. Plus you can order cakes thy donot accept EBT
MasonCop: It's a good place to get food in the area, the staff is helpful, and the parking is great. Unfortunately sometimes I get a stale piece of cake of something less than perfect. Best to stick with the stuff they sell a lot of.
thomas marcetti: Good quality. No crusty Italian peasant bread but good Americanised bread
Rick Wade: They have the best sandwiches and soup in the area. Also, the staff there are some of the nicest people and make you feel like family.
Kymberlyn Crowell: Not just a bakery. Good food
