The Hudson Cafe: what do users think?
Cora Dewan - Smith: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Daria Loshak: Great breakfast, very nice stuff
Kate Specht: I will start with a positive: our waitress was great! Unfortunately, the food was not. My friends all ordered pretty much the same food, so it was delivered in a reasonable time. I had ordered an omelet which took 30 extra minutes and tasted awful. The waitress was nice enough to take the omelet off the bill. Also, the avocado toast that my friends odered had barely and avocado. However, the waitress brought more for the table. Its too bad they don't have an expedite staff worker in the kitchen to make sure the cooks know the orders so the food is delivered at the same time and ensure the food is correctly made.
Matthew D: Great breakfast spot! Yes there’s often a wait but once you’re seated, the food comes relatively quick. Reasonable prices in a relaxed environment
Yana Oganesova: Really good bacon & vibes
Jeff Clark: Brunch was good. I was able to get the grits without cheese, salmon croquettes without any crab meat mixed-up in it, a big ole omlett with onions and peppers and wheat toast. I'm full. 😋
Cibi Boovendran: I had a nice time when I went to Detroit with friends back in May 2016 . Remember this place after 7 years so it def must be worth it right
Gerri McIntosh: Vegetarian options: Good egg white omelet
Killoud Dabaja: I stopped by for a latte, but they are under construction. They will reopen soon.
MaryAnn Coopersmith: Good breakfast. I had the French toast with fruit. Delicious. Hoping to go sgain on Tuesday..
Samantha Brown: Would have had a better experience if manager was more professional... My friend made a reservation on open table at 10:30 AM last weekend. Me and my sister were invited and brought our babies. While waiting for our table, the wait staff had told us they were preparing our table and preferences on where we would like our babies to be seated. A family walks in and after the table is set up for what was supposed to be us, the general manager seats this family. When this was mentioned to the general manager, he said he was sorry and said he would get a table in 5 mins. 5 mins turned into 15 mins. We were not seated until 11:05 AM. When we were seated, my friend had mentioned that she was very disappointed so far for the service. The manager let her know "I got you" in regard to our meal. The food was good - don't recommend the red velvet pancakes, but the eggs benedict and fries were good. The waitress was good, only thing was she did not ask if we wanted bill split. When we got the bill, the manager had taken off $25 for a bill. We wanted to bill split so they gave us new bills. I wasn't told until later that day that when the bill was split, there were extra charges that were input into our friend's bill. Due to this experience, unfortunately I do not see myself coming to this brunch spot again. I recommend Lena's kitchen in Wixom, better food, price, and service.
irene rasmussen abuelita: Delicious food. Great waitstaff. The place was deafening. I can’t believe how loud it was. You can’t have a conversation at a normal level.
heather riley: The food was overpriced and tasted like it came from a cheap hotel's brunch. The only good thing about our experience was our server.
Jacob Deliefde: really upbeat & tasty- only one issue: hot corned beef hash & waitress said it came with a free side of pancakes… even asked her again- really?… she confirmed & so got the cinnabun cakes (very tasty) only to see additional charge on bill for side of pancakes!! this pushed our bill over $50 for breakfast for 2 people… felt sketchy… very good but not sure $50 good.
