JJ JJ: We’ve been going here for years. The last time we were there. We bought 30lbs of ground beef from a beef knuckle which is obviously boneless. The meat had pieces of tiny bones. We’ve been noticing tiny bones in the ground beef. A couple of people in my household broke/chipped molars after dodging a few of them the past few times. This is a costly and heartbreaking thing to happen. Teeth are needed for a lifetime. ⚠️ Avoid any meat from their grinders. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Nichol Talley: I had high expectations and was left very disappointed by this place. I was excited to get some nice fresh meat but got home to find that that was the exact opposite of what I purchased. $40 wasted on 2 slabs of ribs. Upon opening the bag, my kitchen became engulfed with a putrid rotten egg smell. Knowing that some packaging can cause meat to "smell funny" (though there was nothing funny about this, nor was the smell just a little off), I rinsed it thoroughly... twice. This pork was still very odoriferous. I could not possibly cook this and serve it to my family. Calling them was of no help so in the trash it went. Next time I make the trek to Gratiot Central, Ronnie's will definitely be getting passed by.
Matthew Brennan: My car died in the middle of Woodward. I had to push it to the curb so i wouldn’t get hit by the Q line. I was looking at a # for a tow truck.Ronnie walked out of his workout class and asked me if I needed any help. I asked him if he wouldn’t mind giving me a jump, he said No problem. He pulled up his truck, made a 3-point turn in the intersection so that his hood faced mine, connected the cables and invited me into his truck to escape the cold while we waited!Turned my entire year around! Thank you, Ronnie!!

Asked if any was going to be made and he replied with "I don't know.". I then asked him if he could please ask someone else there that is more knowledgeable and he wouldn't. Sounded like he didn't even know that FRESH CHICKEN KIELBASA was made at the market. Smoked kielbasa is NOT the only kielbasa that exists. Must be too much like work for them to leave so many out of the smoker. VERY DISAPPOINTED & DISGUSTED WITH JOYVIEW. It happened to be my Mom's last request before the Angels take her from us.

I went in for a few steaks but the Pollack in me couldnt resist the kielbassa fresh and pierogis. It might not look like the Taj Mahal but idk about that. I want excellent meats and such. I am willing to pay more for a place that actually cares about their customers and that is this place for sure. I will be back every week.

Andrea Walbridge: Came today for 1st time, clean, good selection, plenty of employees, quality looks good, however their smoked Kielbasa is $2 lb more than Srodeks in Hamtramck where I usually go, I won't be back, when your buying a large qty it really adds up. Also sign on door says no mask no service but 2 employees weighing up meat were not masked and some customers were not masked, don't have a mask sign if it's not enforced, it's b.s., also they only allow 10 customers at a time, I'm guessing because it's a small store and it keeps some order.

I'm so upset that the guy behind the counter would give me that and he put it in garbage bag whi he was new of course but I thought that was just in case it leaked being fresh not frozen. Ismail Ali: Horrible i bought 5 ribeye and hummus plate and the ribeye meat was so chewy I ended up throwing away 3 ribeyes because I couldn’t even eat them without chewing for more than 10 minutes they leave the worst part of the fat on the meat to add weight and forget about the customers thoughts will not be ordering meat from here again

I called and was told they would close today at 5:30. Showed up at 4:45 and they were closed. I don’t know if they just wanted to close early for the day or if they ran out of food, but regardless it’s unacceptable and needs to be addressed. Looking at other reviews, it seems this happens pretty frequently. I hate writing a bad review for a small local business, but you should be careful to not waste your time
