Ed Johnson: Looked online for a few things we needed a few days before leaving for camping. Saw a couple things, liked the prices, but shipping was going to take too long. So, I decided to drive an hour to go to the store. Got there & needed help, couldn't find anyone on the floor. Went up to the counter, & found 4 employees just standing there. They didn't have the camping mat I originally found online, even though it said it was available there. So, my son & I grabbed another mat & a few other things, went up to check out, only to find out that the online prices are for members only. After going through the whole membership thing (which I didn't get, I live an hour away), I put everything, but the mat I found, back. Unless you're a member, it's overpriced. I ended up finding the other stuff at other stores for a lot less.

julie jones: Walked in this Past Sunday 7/11/2021 and asked the tall dark haired lady to help us with a mattress. She told us she didn’t have time and to go online and order it. They would deliver with no shipping charge and the price would be the sale price. So we went home to try and order it and the price was $70 higher. I took pictures of the sign on the wall with the date. Went to Grand Rapids Camping world and they went out of their way to help us. Found out that the sale was expired. They still honored the sale price. Will drive 2 hours when I need anything from camping world. Belleville has NEVER wanted to help their customers. You need a new store manager that promotes customer satisfaction. Very dissatisfied.

Engineer: Unbelievable, Detroit Axle has their call center in Texas and they could not provide an estimate on a rebuild. Said I would have to take it to the "shop". I understand evaluating the items but for crying out loud, it's a steering rack! All they can do in their call center is look up part numbers. I remember the day you could talk to someone at their facility and have a great experience.

Chris: I’m disappointed, purchased my control arms on Apr. 11th 2023 and as of Friday May 25th 2023 one has already failed. No big deal it happens so I call in for warranty. They said sure we will warranty it not a problem but you have to pay for shipping 46.00. Yep you read right 46.00!! But I wouldn’t need to pay that had your part not failed so soon. Now had it been on the car several years maybe I would’ve understood but a little over month? That’s not how you do business and I understand shipping is expensive but that’s not even right for a part that failed that quickly. I’m sorry to say I was happy up until this won’t be purchasing anything else from them. Dang! I thought had found a good parts supplier.

H K: Ordered CV axels for a 2015 Ram Sport, they had more play in them then the factory CV axel that I was replacing. So much so, that the truck would not pass the local PA safety inspection with those CV axels installed, and had tonget new ones again,obviously for a differenr source, had no problem when quality CVs were installed. Tried to reach out for return, no reponse. Currently ordered a front drive shaft for the 4x4 system on the same truck, I can not tell you about the drive shaft because I have not recieved it yet. They give an estimated delivery 2 days after it was ordered, when in reality it takes 2 to 3 days longer an has hardly moved intransitive on the day they say it should be here. They lie, so you order from them, but will not deliver when it comes tongettingnyour part in a timely manner. Put actual times and dates in and stop trying to compete with Amazon delivery times when you know you are lying and know you can't.

TaraAnn Kerrison: I was a customer of this company for 5 years. Always bought parts from here and even referred people to them because they were always on point. This time I have to say, I'll never return as a customer. First tried buying through them through Amazon. Got my one order, then the other one for my brake pads and rotors, just kinda sat there and finally after a week of nothing I contacted Amazon and they said my order was unfillable. So I decided to order directly through their website. Everything went smooth until my mechanic opened the brake pads and rotors and the back brake pads were missing. Ok... Message them about it, they wanted to give me a refund and I told them no, I need the part I paid for (which was more that $25 if you buy them separately). So they said I'll have a tracking number available in 24 hours.. They gave me a tracking number (took 72 hours not 24) for fed ex. So I'm watching that and it says it's still pending, well come to find out they didn't ship through FedEx they shipped through USPS. My mother has a serious surgery coming that I have to travel for and now I have to rent a vehicle because I can't get back in with my mechanic until well after memorial day. This has been more than enough for me to deal with and I definitely won't be returning.

Sean Loscalzo: I bought a wheel lift attachment from Detroit Wrecker Sales just shy of two years ago. The attachment was more expensive than the ones we had been buying from a large wrecker manufacturer. I had even complained to them that what they are selling does not last and impossible to service with the plastic bushings they use. We would go through one of them every year.The attachment from Detroit was actually recommended by a dealer that sells for the large wrecker manufacturer and his words were "it is bullet proof", I scoffed at the comment and said we will see about that my guys will certainly give it the test of its life. We move over 100 cars a day with this thing and it just started to show signs of wear. All the bushings are worn so I looked on the web-site and found the schematic and called Jen and just like that the parts are on there way.To sum it up, those words its "Bullet Proof" were correct and if you are in the market for a forklift attachment do not look any further. No one makes one this robust and reliable. We have tore it up but its been repaired with ease and quickly.Great product great company that stands behind its products and I highly recommend.Thanks Mike, Jon and Jen.8-30-22 I have to amend my great review, we have bought three of these wheel lift attachments over the last few years and the are the best on the market. Now Mike won’t sell the parts. He would rather make you buy another wheel lift attachment than service his products. It’s a shame because they are so rebuildable. Great product is useless without parts that are reasonabley priced.

But the biggest thing is, from the time I dropped my truck off, I received updates via text along with pictures daily, until my truck was picked up. From small business owner to small business owner they are always there in my time of need. Just keep in mind I’m the guy that when they started this I couldn’t change the car battery by myself! jarred stante (Jug): When you look at the price your first instinct is to just keep swiping left. That’s what I did. A valuable lesson well learned because in this industry you get what you pay for. This by far is the best investment for my yard when it comes to moving vehicles around. Originally we had bought a $3000usd version from another manufacturer. Lasted a year before I had to start reinforcing and fabricating weak points in their model. Hands down I’ve used Detroits Gladiator for a day so far and strength and quality is Detroits middle name per my standards. I’m content on saying this was built to last. As long as you take care of it. Grease is my best friend. But to justify the price you gotta think how much money you’ll save in fuel and damage on equipment that’s made to make you money on the street. Thanks again Detroit Wrecker. You got my vote.

Joe Sheridan: 3 years ago I purchased alil herc. For my 2015 gmc denali. From Detroit wreckers and from the first phone call Mike "owner" treated me great even not knowing I was going to pull the trigger and order one. Sent deposit made a date and about 3 weeks later was on my way. 9 hour ride and shop was open for business and waiting with a coffee for me. Lol. All the employees were friendly and treated me like family. Owner explained everything he was going to do with my truck. I decided I needed them to install my strobe lights and about placement and let me tell you they knocked it out the park. With having Instagram I could follow and see the progress done to my truck. Month later got the phone call its done. Hop on plane and owner picked me up. Who can say that about a company.  Sat me down and explained how it works showed me how to work it and how to keep the maintenance up on it. 3 years later still going strong and with spending $20k on wheellift and another $10k on lights and within a couple of hard month's got my money right back. All profit now. Got owners personal number and any questions I had didn't matter what time of day or night it was he answered. I was so impressed with the way they handed everything and the professionalism they have and treated me there talks about doing more work (flatbed/rollback)for my company. Isaiah B: Used to work for a company that had a DWS Devastator, and I loved that truck. They switched me into that truck to give my old one to a new guy, and they also bought a Chevron. The Chevron has had nothing but issues, my Devastator has never had an issue! The extended bed locks are a must, and the low load angle is excellent. I’ve towed anything between lowered mint condition cars, to Harleys, to lifted trucks, and never had an issue, very rarely have to block anything. When I start my own company I’m definitely going with DWS, great product.

They did nothing to compensate for the damage except rudely say when asked if we can get some compensation due to the inconvenience of returning it to get fixed was, "we are fixing it for free, aren't we". Took over 6 months to get the parts then a month to repair it. They don't care about the customer once you leave the lot. Go elsewhere if you want customer service.

They told me to pick up my RV, I get there and it has wrapped doors, broken shade, no stopper in sink. Doors would not open. Just in horrible condition. Then they deliver it to me as they said it was all done, then to find out new doors were ordered and not put in. I brought it in to DE winterized at BrownstownRV and they told me that the water tank was never drained at the Mt. Clemons location and it burst, SO now that is being fixed. Sam Daleo: Worst Service Ever.They make excuses for everything. They back their employees.It's like the Island of Miss Fit toys.And they expect you to except it with a smile. Sorry the excuse of "I have other customers"- Service writers favorite one. The so called Service Manager- "we are human and make mistakes" but yet they feel that is acceptable !!!I went above and beyond. I sent Forest River pictures, videos ect... before dropping off my unit. I included my Service writer on this. Walked my unit with the service writer while she put tape on everything there was an issue.Seal was bad on bedroom slide. Go to pick it up and they did the livingroom slide that had no issues.A simple cap for a faucet was broken. They had the part come in and they lost it. When I asked where it was the service writer says "I watched him install it" even though Forest River was not paying us for it. Then proceeded to say I don't understand why it keeps coming off. (Comical)If it came off again it would be right in the bathroom.Not gone !!!My unit was spotless when dropped off. I opened the door to inspect inside. Muddy feet prints all over. They can't even clean up after themselves.I guess if you don't care about your customers you should get out of the business.Anyone reading this should consider a new place to shop.If your looking to buy new shop some where that has good service reviews.If your just in need of service seriously look elsewhere.
Richard Makowiec: Casual readers visiting here, I'm not sure what's up with the couple low star reviews. We picked up our 5 year old diesel pusher from here today (bought it weeks ago). This place deserves 9 or 10 stars cause 5 is NOT enough. They surprised us with getting some recall work done. Surprised us with detailing and this 5 year old rig looks brand new. Joe in Service was an honest guy. Russ, the manager, was always there and never evaded us...he stops dead to talk when you see him and say, "excuse me"! The counter welcome staff were super polite. The delivery department lady (I forgot name and feel bad) she was super smiling and warm friendly kind of person:) Solomon in Finance was great and not pushy. We spent the most time with Joe in service explaining everything and wow, what a breath of good fresh Michigan air it was meeting this guy!I belong to a few fb camping groups. I just couldn't figure out why 9 of 10 bad rv dealer conversations revolved around CW and Lazy and hardly ever General RV. I understand why now. We didn't even try the other places because we were a little worried about the bad press. My wife and I are greatful we did business with General RV and no we did not get a discount, in store credit or a Visa gift card or anything from them to type a review like this...they simply earned it, fair & square:)My wife and I wish everyone well and thank you for reading this review:):):)
Tony Moussa: What a joke this place is. Especially the Hr department. I applied for a job thru Indeed and nothing. So I called an left a message with there Hr and still nothing but yet they constantly post that there hiring. When they need to rethink there Hr department officials and then they can probably get some good help.
maureen christian: General RV always comes through! Service writer Walt Zimmerman goes out of his way to make sure things are done right and communicates well with customers. We are always pleased with their service.
Shane Biehl: Horrible company! I wish I could give them ZERO stars! Once you purchase from them, good luck getting any questions answered! They just direct you to the next person or another general RV dealership. If you have issues with your RV be prepared to be without your RV for over a month! I we are looking to upgrade our RV to a Momentum, but not now! I can guarantee I will not be buying from General RV!

Jonathan Sacks: Salesman was friendly and helpful prepurchase as were employees at time of pickup albeit several times they asked for payment above that we agreed to prior to driving 6 hours to complete purchase. Ultimately they honored the quoted price. Trailer prep was most inadequate. One side of the sway/weight distribution hitch came uncoupled on second day of driving. Scary. Difficult to reach service to get help. Service mgr told me it was not installed correctly. I had to buy tools to fix myself at our campsite given we were stranded as General RV did not offer to address directly. A day later we experienced multiple system failures. Again, difficult to reach. The service person I finally reached told me he was unfamiliar with our Jayco unit and suggested I get a meter and test for continuity. It’s still broken days after. Our food and a critical med is trapped in the fridge, blocked by the inop slide. Seems the Jayco quality mantra and General RV promise to “Keep you camping” is not accurate. The list of defects that should have been addressed pre-purchase is now at 10 and counting. I’ll post again with update if/when they address.Jonathan SacksCEOPharmadva
