School of Martial Arts USA: what do users think?
Celeste E: They work really well with the kids on focusing, discipline, and the fundamentals of martial arts.
Ahmad Vatandoust: SMAUSA is a great place for kids and adults to learn/practice martial arts. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, family-friendly, and respectful dojo as both my kids (black belt now and blue belt in Taekwondo).
Heather H: Love the family atmosphere ❤️
Chris Robinson: Great, friendly staff. The students and teachers are very helpful. Prices are fair
hanan dakik: Best school of martial arts in town. Been with them for 10 years. Your child will learn the art skills as well as self confidence, discipline and integrity. Highly recommend this school!
Soumaya Imad: Both of our daughters have been attending SMA since 2018/2019 and we are very pleased and impressed with how much they have advanced so far.
kathy talanges: Cool place
Ashley Horner: I love this school. My children have been coming here since October. They don't only teach my children how to defend themselves but they also teach them discipline, morals and values. This is a fair price family oriented place. I plan on my family going here as possible.
The Lioness: Places like this increase confidence and joy among young kids. The staff are nice and professional. They need to change the trainers from time to time but other than that they are the kings of martial arts, highly recommended!
Jennifer Ragland ragtime123: I was a little confused on the organization of the students but I felt that I was in a authentic martial arts center. I would like to take a shot at it but afraid I will be denied because of my disability. It was a cool place.
Mo Hariri: The kids love it! Everyone there is friendly, the price is just right and kids have many classes every week to attend. I highly recommend it .
Lebanon H.: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat environment very professional my son is been there for about for years now master Doc master Nick and Master E are very professional with the rest of the team my son is learning a lot in Karate and Jujitsu great place for kids and adults
wail alibrahimi: Avoid at all costs. I went in with my 7 yr old daughter to get more information on their classes. During my conversation with owner Master Doc I asked him if there were any external safety issues I should know about (area wise). He became extremely defensive, confused, and asking if I meant someone coming in to rob us or beat up a kid. He then insinuated that my question was suspicious and had the audacity to ask me in front of my daughter if I was going to be the one doing such a thing. Jaw dropping offensive remark to make to a parent with a general question about safety. We were going to sign up but after such a grotesque comment from Master Doc we decided to sign up with another school.
Ibrahim Algharably: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Richard Reed: Great school their great at what they do and great with kids.
Joseph Sosnoski: Positive:ProfessionalismI’ve enjoyed my time so far. The other students are some of the best teachers for a beginner like myself. I plan to stick with it and earn my way to up.
Balamurugan Gnanakumar: Good place for kids to learn Martial arts
Sally Oueis: Master Doug and his son Master Nick as well as all their assistant instructors are wonderful, they provide a super friendly and fun atmosphere for the younger students. My daughter looks forward to every class during the week and especially the fun ones on Saturdays! :) I highly reccomend this place!!!!
J A: Worth every penny.

Aikido Canada: what do users think?
Ken Urquhart: Super friendly and inclusive
Rebecca Goldstein: Fantastic Dojo, lots of precautions in place for the pandemic, and the instructors are adjusting and adapting classes seamlessly.
Jan Katz: Top rated instructors
Yasmeen Fakhereddin: Bought the groupon for yoga with Bill at Aikido Canada. It is excellent. He starts off with a little meditation time then speaks to the class about a certain topic that makes you think; like honesty, and living in the moment. Then the yoga begins and it's at a good gradual pace. He assists you when needed. Bill is very knowledgeable and I always leave the class feeling relaxed and positive. The ending of the class is my favourite part. Highly recommend!
Anishka Saldanha: As an adult beginner, they are very understanding of whatever pace it is that you learn at. The instructors are fantastic and super friendly too.
Emili Naumoski: This place is fantastic. The people are friendly and knowledgeable. It's defintely been a positive change in my life.
Michael Dube: This place is a path to a positve change in your life!

Copeland's Martial Arts: what do users think?
solaris911: I went to Copelands as a child, as did my boys. Coopeland teaches core values that kids need. ie respect, defense, etiquette, discipline, Honor and loyalty. Teaches kids about competition, and how to humbly win or gracefully fail, as is a much needed lesson in a world where everyone get a damn trophy now for just showing up. Core basic fighting skills and posture perfection for competitions, tournaments and events. An amazingly dedicated funny not only as a sensi but a wonderful mentor who will work with your kids, knowing kids are more than just students in his class... Would recommend for any child or adult willing to learn! This is one human you want to meet and grow with wether with yourself or your family
Mimi: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueProfessional and clear communication was given to us and the kids from day 1, the kids always wait eagerly to attend the classes, Big thanks to the coach for his patience and great experience dealing with differnet age groups, the classes at copeland isnt only about physical development but also building confident life style.
Laila Neal: Critical:Communication,ProfessionalismOmg the lady I think her name is Mary, she's a powerful instructor here. I saw her almost punch another woman. My kids want to come to training but they see it and they don't want it anymore, I won't let them go
Mike G: A great sensei who cares. Love this dojo and the sensei!
Hang Tram: He is a good teacher, alway patients, and willing to help my cousin.
Rana Jebara: Amazing Leader that gives the kids and youth leadership tips and how to cope with any issue also how to be confident and how to have positive and strong personality
Roland Thibert: I don't usually write on these blogs but came across some negative reviews about sensei and felt the need to share our story. My daughter started attending coplands in March of 18. Since then her growth has been amazing. She is upset if we can't get there at least 1/2 early. She's a yellow belt now and talks about being black belt one day. Her relationship with Sensei has a pleasure to watch. I had a difficult decision in picking where I wanted her to attend karate as I have some personal relationships in the community. I can say without a shadow of a doubt I made the right decision. If you're on the fence like I was give sensei a call. He usually does a few classes first to see if your child should join. It's been a pleasure having the love of my life learn here under both sensei copland and the black belts that help out and I hope you'll do the same. Sensei has done wonders with my daughter not just in karate but in school and even any issues we've had at home. I hope this helps anyone reading this.Good bless
Chris Smith: During tournaments Sensi Copeland always demonstrates empathtic leadership . I have witnessed on a number of occasions when he has paused to mentor competitors overwhelmed by nerves/ temporaily shaken from a sparring hit . He quickly brings smiles back to their faces and reignites their sprit with his kind demeanour and humour . We are making a longer than normal drive for their tournament in June because of our respect and support for his consitent example.
H: attended as a student for 3 years, and I must say that you will not learn much but 3 slightly variated katas. Only 10% of the classes are actual karate. Most of the time, the sensei will tell you to do your katas, and that will be it for the entire class. When you do something incorrectly, he will hold that against you. He plays favourites and if he does not like the student and their parent of guardian is not around, he will be abusive toward that student. Through those 3 years I attended, I found the sensei to be arrogant and abusive. He has little teaching skills and teaches little at that. Most of his students are also arrogant and will never varate from what the sensei instructs. The rates are also very high, along with 75 dollars for the belt test, 200 for a new uniform and 50 for the next belt, but the black belt costs 175. This is one of your worse options to learn karate
JCB WRITES: Love this school. Patient, informative, challenging, and rewarding. Really happy I joined. Instructor is great. A terrific workout and I'm learning self defence at the same time. It is a great deal.
J: One of the greatest learning opportunities I've ever had.
J Lee: Sensei inspires and engages his students very effectively. He cares for each student. For the past 4 years, it has been an excellent place for our son to learn karate, as well as integrity, self-discipline, and how to be an effective part of a team. Sensei is an important part of our family.
Meredith Finch: I love this place. Sensei is great with the kids and knows how to build an atmosphere of positive motivation. He sets high expectations and the kids always live up to them.
Saaed AlFaqeeh: Great for the kids.
Sarah Pawlowicz: pretentious atmosphere! The owner is very arrogant, and quite frankly most of the students are too; definately not a good learning centre for the martial arts. Despite the owner's credentials: he is not a good teacher, he is egotistical, and his social skills seem to make people feel uncomfortable at times. If anyone is reading this, and decides to attend here anyways, just know that i told you so when you realize that everything I said is true! :) lol
Alex Patterson: This place is honestly not worth the money! The instructer's teaching methods are very feeble. He charges more than 120$ to join, and afterwards every month would cost $120. Incidentally, he pathetically charges people 50$ to test for the next belt level; oh, and $200 or more ( not really sure on the amount, but its definately around 200$) to test for their black belts. In conclusion, there are better, and cheaper places in Windsor to learn self defense; this place not being one of them! The essence of this review is that the instructer cares about money more than your interest in learning how to defend yourself on the streets.
