I've been sedentary for most of my adult life, of course, I was a bit nervous before committing, but the coaches are very encouraging! They are knowledgable and have a good idea of what I am capable of, so they offer up suggestions for scaling the workout and doing what works for me. Their big focus (from my perspective) is on mobility, form/technique and proper warm-up before hitting the workout hard, which is super important especially for sedentary folks like myself. I've never worked out as much with a regular globo gym membership, it's really nice to be able to go to HCS and workout with others, grow together and have other folks hold me accountable. I started Oct 2020 and happy to say I'm doing some of the workouts RX now! Still have SO much to learn and I'm looking forward to improving and gaining new skills. Lastly, the olympic lifting add-on classes are AWESOME!

I had never done crossfit in my entire life and was pretty out of shape so I felt wildly unprepared and self conscious when I first joined and, but everyone is so welcoming and encouraging! And for the more seasoned folks, they provide great feedback on your lifting form and adjustments to increase your performance. Heather and Cam were my coaches Monday through Friday and they both brought a great energy, welcoming vibe, and an expertise to coaching that is too often lacking at many affiliates.Throughout the week, they were focused on safe technique done within my limits and they offered equal parts encouragement and instruction. One day, I got scaled mid-workout (definitely the right call by Heather) and another day, I set a new PR, which has never happened when dropping in from my home box.I really cannot praise them highly enough. Daniel Kaisler: I've been a member of CrossFit BMW for the past 3 years and have had only positive experiences. Coach Jarrod is knowledgeable and friendly. He is realistic but will motivate you and help you become stronger than you thought you could be. The equipment is always in great condition and the programing is new every day. One of the best parts of the gym is the diverse community, I have made many good friends simply by working out at BMW. Worth every single penny and more, has become a huge part of my daily life.

Erin Tabor: I’ve been using this gym for a few months now. It has all the equipment you need for barbell (olympic and power) and Metcons.It's a functional space. The stationary equipment is dated but safe. The gym needs to be cleaned more often - it’s dusty and the floors need to be mopped/vacuumed.The information on the website is not accurate - the gym offers no classes at this point. There is a space to change clothes in the gym and a bathroom down the hallway.

No treadmills or ellipticals in here but plenty of room to walk or jog in the hallway of the russell. Very industrial vibe, obviously.Wide array of strongman equipment like farmers handles, axel bars, yoke, sleds, atlas stones, circus dumbbells, etc. Also olympic bars and plates and powerlifting plates with heavy benches.This place is not crowded. If you’re a novice lifter you might need someone to guide you. If you know what you’re doing already and need a place to train anytime, this place is pretty dope.
TJ Daniels: Awesome gym with everything you need, super lowkey not crowded just a great space to get a workout in. Definitely compound and serious lifter oriented, seems like they offer private training as well.

It never feels crowded even in peak hours, and maintains a vibe of being a place people go to put in work.

Amonda Golida: I absolutely hate working out :) but Bear makes it tolerable and rewarding. I actually look forward to my workouts now. I put all my faith in Bear from jump and paid to train three months with him in preparation for summer/ 10 year class reunion; best decision ever. I have been working out with him 3-4 times a week for a little over a month now and have seen noticeable differences in my body and significant differences in my measurements. Classes are circuit based usually and give you exactly what you need (as long as you bring the effort) to feel like you’ve done a worthwhile workout. I’ve been recommending him to everyone!

The instructor K doll makes everyone feel welcomed and builds a harmonic class with the background of Tupac, J cole, 90s rap, etc.Only con is the limited parking. Who Cares: I did not like this place. No spa, no hydro chairs, no massage, and no free snacks yet they charge $170/mo for their best plan and another $120 for their heart monitor. Ridiculous. I went to ONE class and have been in pain ever since. All they offer is the water rower, treadmill, the bike and weights in the routine for an intense 60-minute workout. I think this isn't for the beginner. More for someone who already has been to a few gyms and likes to do the most for an hourEven though they say you can go at your own pace in fact you are being pushed to keep going. It was constant movement and many transitions. Also equipment wasn't wiped off as frequently due to the many transitions and I didn't like that. Some sweat more than others it was gross. I did really well but my legs haven't felt the same since. They say the work out is backed by science and what you are paying for is the trainer basically but it's not worth it TO ME. The staff was friendly. People in the class were ok I guess not the vibe I wanted.

Sheeplife: This is an amazing place to start a wellness journey. The staff is helpful and respond to my requests and I feel valued there as a member. The classes are challenging at just the right amount and I enjoy interacting with the other members. A must try!
Migladys Bermudez: This fitness center/ gym has been my favorite hour of my day for the past 11 months . The workouts are great for general health but also so much fun . The staff and coaches are kind, professional and dedicated . I would recommend to anyone .
Nieisha Jones: I was a member and love it. The coaches there are all amazing however, the staff at the front desk started changing quite frequently and certain rules were only enforced when certain people work. I left the studio because I didn’t like their Covid policy. Management didn’t seem to care about losing a member. Recently, I was going to go back for a drop in class. I never signed up for a class but received a charge for the class. I called the front desk and was told then didn’t know what was going on and that the manager would call me back.
Karen Barnhart: Fantastic workout!! Fast paced and fun!! Very energizing staff and always a challenging workout. I never want to miss a class and have been an OTF member for years. The team in Detroit are very supportive and professional. Keeps me fit and strong.

Jessica Clifford: This is by far the best workout I’ve done. I’ve done Pilates, 3 years of pure barre with a gym membership, and never saw the results I’m seeing. We just completed the transformation challenge and I lost around 13% body fat in just 8 weeks! All the coaches are helpful and amazing. I highly recommend giving them a try. I also have 6 herniated discs in my back- and they’re always willing to give me alternative workouts if needed. Give it a try!!
Yana Grant: All the ladies at the front reception are phenom! Shoutout to Micah, Anna, and Kacey. This is for those who go to the gym alone and waste time lol I leave knowing a put in work. Coaches are super supportive and they call you by your name. They know exactly when you will be wanting to give up and they motivate you not to. I go 4x a week to this location. 2x for lift 45 2x for 60. I'm definitely committed. The cancel late fee keeps you accountable. Studio is always clean. Coaches always hand you a wipe after you workout at the different stations to keep the next person clean then after the class is over and we have all wiped down the equipment they take the time to deep clean each area for the next class. If you miss your deodorant they have one in each bathroom.
