Cinema Detroit: what do users think?
Vstang 60: A great place to watch a movie. Love the ambiance of the building. The staff are very professional. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Omar Faruque: Nice theater. Has parking.
Ron Reed: This is where you can watch indy films in Detroit. Good parking and a good snack bar. The seating is not typical theater se a ting, but pretty comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Benoît Majerus: A miracle. This place is just amazing. Excellent programmation. Nice staff.
leah labean: I went their with my brother dad and his girlfriend we were justing thinking let’s go see a movie and this popped up and we didn’t think their was an actual cinema their and it is it so beautiful and historical absolutely amazing
Justin McLaughlin: One of my favorite places in Detroit!
Justin: Cool neighborhood theater. We caught buffed up here tonight but they show all kinds of indie films.
Vapor K8: Old-style film house with low-to-the-ground; slightly reclining, but comfy seating. Patrons were respectful of the quiet needed to get dialog, especially from the older movie we were watching. I noticed however, that Subtitles, in the upcoming Preview snippets, were impossible to read because our seating was on the same flat surface as the seats directly in front of us. Movies shown though, are consistently thought-provoking, as was the one i attended (a James Baldwin documentary) recently.
Shea Schoenberg: I love this movie house! Great film selections, good snacks and the old school seating I even appreciate.
Sandra Carter: I love the old fashion look. As soon as we walked up too the the ticket booth my 17year old daughter said, “ WOW “. I feel like I just step back into the past. And the price is not too bad either
Darryl Motley: A very nice theatre with all the latest amenities
Jerry Kitchen: I’ll be back ❤️
Mara Furlich: New to the city and am so glad to have found a theater that offers independent films. It’s no fuss, if you’re looking for a recliner chair you’ll have to drive out to the suburbs. The staff are kind and popcorn salty. I also greatly appreciate the fact that they are still maintaining covid protocols to try to reduce patrons’ risk of infection. While the rest of the world may have embraced covid, those in the disability/chronic illness community do not have the luxury of risking repeat infections. It’s nice to feel safer and welcome here. Thank you.
G: My partner and I, who live over in Lansing, were excited to visit Cinema Detroit for the first time to attend a showing of Lost Highway, until disaster struck and our transmission went out.I won't say we bought a new car just to attend... but it was an extremely powerful motivator. We not only made the show, but fell a little in love with this fantastic indie theater. The atmosphere and staff are wonderfully welcoming. They show movies you won't find elsewhere in the area. Do check it out!
Erik Mylenek: Good underground cinema house. Sound could be better.
Marie Crafts: It's a beautiful place. The staff is very friendly.
Sarah Karner: Love this place.
BC Starr: Good staff very welcoming.
Mark Sweetman: If you want luxury, not for you. If you want fine art, come here.
Angelo Sherman: Saw the premier of the black panther...2017 .We practically had the whole place to ourselves.Nice staff and great atmosphere... definitely old school no pun intended.

Emagine Royal Oak: what do users think?
Nick Link: Decent theater, but it enough people working tickets and concessions.
will carpenter: Definitely one of the better places, but there was 1 time when the theater seats still had popcorn in it. Cmon Emagine Royal Oak, don't fall off!!
Nikki DeFay: Great Theater, Great Seats. The concession area needed to be cleaned and restocked. It was sticky and kept very well. Someone should be over there to keep things tidy more often.
Carlos Hill: I'm just gonna say I drive 40 mins just to come here and I go allot no movie theater beat this one staff and service never let me down love you guys keep up the good work
Barbara Haug: The employees are all very friendly, the popcorn & drinks are tasty and the seats are just wonderful. I was just a bit disappointed by the expense/lack of a deal and the need to pay for parking. Also, navigating the different theatre websites is tricky enough that they weren't showing what I was expecting.
Lee Taylor: Really enjoyed myself...can't wait until next visit
Michelle's Adventures: Pretty clean the popcorn was delicious and the mother's day brunch was a hit . I hope you decide to do it again next yaer
Lesha Ellis: Security was nice. Food was horrible waited 30 min and had to go get my food thar was suppose to be delivered to me. Tray were dirty
Nyah Kidd: The service of complimentary valet is appreciated. However, they need a better system to keep keys safe and secure. I stood for 5 minutes to get my car which is not a problem because they are busy. My complaint is that no one should have easy access to people’s keys.
Kevin West sr: Great time Great people love this place
denise demick: My 11yr old grandson and I have been going there since 2019...I like the atmosphere....and there was a employee I think her name was Raven?🤞She was absolutely a fantastic worker...I am 59 and worked in the food service half my life....She was so kind...focused and kept it movin 🙌
Sally Woollet: First time visiting. Awesome place! Our usual EMAGINE is Macomb. This time was for work appreciation movie event.
Cesar Torres: Great place
Ann Wright: Julious our server was amazing!
Daniel Pino: Layout/atmosphere*Ten theaters and bar & grill on first floor; three theaters and bowling alley second floor; reserved seating; recliner seatsSeen here:*Sisu
aslam shaik: Best movie theatre
JozziMacFli: I always enjoy my experience.
Dominick Sica: This place has gone downhill. The parking is just as terrible as the rest of Royal Oak in that area and there is rarely any staff around. The bar has been "opened" but un-staffed the past 2 times I was there.
Kenneth Sandford: Love this place, they have everything you need from food to alcoholic beverages lol
darcelious simmons: Love this theater! 🎥 prices are great. Friendly atmosphere.
Dawn McAfee: Great drinks, food, & seats. The atmosphere here is wonderful & fun! We all enjoyed ourselves & the movie

AMC Fairlane 21: what do users think?
Patricia Stewart: I went and watched the new black panther movie the 4pm showing and the front staff service ppl was amazing the reason I am giving a 3 is because there was ppl smoking or vaping weed in the theater and talking loudly after many times of asking to for them to become quite by many ppl and they just progressively worse I have bad hearing and even with how loud the movie was I could barely here the movie out of the ear I do have good hearing with. This was my boyfriends late birthday gift to me and the whole evening was ruined because otlf the 2 bishes that wouldn't stop talking
Kenyatta Laurence: I went to an early movie, it only cost $6.49 before 5:00. Had a wonderful time.
Renetta Meadows: They need to upgrade this theater I will not be going there ever again someone's child COUGHED over my head though most of the movie..... it was a NIGHTMARE!!!
Kaitlyn: Cerfew for movies?? Frustrated to arrive and be told to leave because I didn’t have an ID to watch a pg13 movie!
DeMont M. Knighton: Was a dope experience like old times for me
Hiba Alzubiady: The theatre was disgusting. Not clean, smells bad and not comfortable
Tony Benson: My cherry icee was the bomb dot com
JW: Anytime I come here they never have my pretzel bites available. To have so few customers coming in how are you out of products all the time?I should have went to a different AMC location that I know for sure has it. Not to mention this theatre is very dry and dull. The restrooms are in need of major renovations. This theatre has lost its luster & appeal a long time ago. Nothing looks new or pristine. Can't even get enthusiastic customer service anymore.
Ashanti Lloyd: It's the Minor's trying to get the adults to get them in
Skye Rainbow: Trust me when I say go to mjr in westland or emagine in canton or anywhere is better than here. Expensive concessions counter and seats are old school don't recline and are not comfortable at all, especially for a 2.5 hour movie. Also I've never had a problem at other theaters with other customers but the ones that go here are horrible and ruin the movie experience. Don't go here. Only not a 1 star because I could deal with it.
Lawanda Hamilton: Not a good place. Very dark and most of the concession food was not available. Not very clean. I will not be back.
Christopher Howard: This is by far my favorite place to watch new movies.
Cher Fost: I was uncomfortable, the seats were tight and unkept. They can really use an upgrade like other theaters. At the food stand, it took way to long to get our food and they were out of items already in the middle of the day. In the lobby are it was darts and gloomy. The restrooms was far from okay as well. For the price of movie tickets these days, I would expect a lot better.
Raliegh Green: It was not children friendly
Craig Eddingbourgh: Enjoyed our self's wasn't crowded and it was clean
Kenny Carlson: Old and dirty seating. Concession area never clean.
Nicky Anderson: The row I was sitting in wasn't clean......it could be that they don't have enough employees 🤔.. but only open the theaters you can cover.
Haider Abdallah: Nice theatre, safe, big show rooms but no recliner. Not crowded or full with teenagers.
Mostafa Al-angurli: I went to Detroit with my family friend and we decided to go watch a movie. The employees was like someone has to be the age of 21 to watch any kind of movie even PG movies like what. They were talking about having a curfew and they close at 8:30. I’ve never seen any theater like that. Then we came the next day and turns out the theater closed for further notice. That experience was a total L
Keith E Jefferson: Closest theater to me. Needs an upgrade to the seats & facilities overall
Rebecca Sakry: It was an interesting building

MJR Universal Grand 16: what do users think?
Jaime Te-Ana: Always a great experience at Universal MJR!
Robert Tharpe: Always clean friendly staff
Jill Ollila: Discounted prices before 4pm M,W,Thurs,Friday-Sun Tuesdays is $5 allday
Qui Nguyen: Decent place to go. The seats are fully reclined and free popcorn plus $5 a ticket on Tuesday. Fairly standard place. No cute girls that work here go to the one in troy for that.
Douglas Cole: Went to the MJR in Madison Heights on mother's day with family members. Spent over $70 dollars for tickets online, but when we got to the theater we were able to walk right in. NOT 1 PERSON ASKED TO SEE OUR TICKETS. Why did I bother spend the money for tickets, I could have just walked right in without even buying tickets. The snack counter was good, but the area where you go your drinks was A MESS. pop spilled all over the counter and trash all over. We did enjoy the theater and movie but then as we left and stopped to use the restrooms, it was awful. Family members in my group said the women's bathroom was DISGUSTING. Toilets were clogged and water was flowing over the tops and onto the floor, just a complete MESS. overall the lack of staff taking care of the place was a complete disappointment.
JJ JJ: Great theater. They really did an excellent upgrade. I used to go here in the 90s when it was Movies 16. The seats are so comfortable. Very clean and organized place. Bathrooms are very clean too. Highly recommended 👍
Heidi & Rogan: CLEAN MOVIES
Javier Contesse: We don’t go to the movies much cause it’s gotten incredibly expensive. MJR has $5 Tuesdays which is nice, but the place is a little run down
Jabr Algaheim: It was nice and clean, and they had recliner seats.
HELPING HANDS: Nice, relaxing and hassle free, but kinda pricey in my opinion. 💁🏾‍♂️
Oleh Yednak: Very comfortable chairs
wisam yousif: I'm giving this place a five-star due to it is clean, compared to couple more MJR Theater I've been to, in more expensive areas, the seating was very Dairy but this one is good and decent please keep it up like thatI'm giving this place a five-star due to it is clean, compared to couple more MJR Theater I've been to, in more expensive areas, the seating was very Dairy but this one is good and decent please keep it up like that
Latifah Abdullah: No stairs. Set up for handicap. Clean. Need more benches in lobbies for handicaps.
Kenyatta Laurence: Great reclining seats, great movie sound, refreshments are a bit high but it was nice to get out.
Sprite Masters: The floors flat so no stairs to climb. Sorta have to look up at the screen. Pretty retro. Interesting theater. I like it.
Mandy M: This is our regular theater as it is the closest to our home. The last few times that I've went it's been disgusting though. The concession/soda machine area is sticky and has spilled drinks everywhere. The women's restrooms are straight up vile. Toilet paper all over the floor, used feminine products, overfilled toilets. For as much of a luxury as movies are these days, the least of expectations is a clean environment.
willie dunbar: Can't handle busy days😒
Steve Mouton: My reclining chair froze for about 10 minutes in the extended position. Otherwise, it was standard.
Marcus Bullock: Very good time laid back love it.....
April McCain: I did a rental for my daughter and I loved it.
Alicia White: Love the reclining seats. But the place is always FILTHY!!! Clean up PLEASE. Act like Covid is at the peak and clean up.
