Theresa Dodson: I visited Hartford Village last week. It is very clean, and I liked the gated community style. There does seem to be a problem regarding phone/code entrance. Besides that, I am interested in a tour.
sarah garcia: I Love my Aunt's apartment. Love the mgt. Residents are so kind. The building is beautiful and well done. They have Security on site. A big plus. The residents have activities you can participate in. They also have a small gym for the residents. And a hair stylist. Very nice.

Nadine Doolan: Spent time with residents. We went to the DIA. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The campus was a gated community. It is a nice looking with apartments and condos.

Ericka Brummer: Wow! Just wow on the staff at sunrise who just went above and beyond to take care of several families in great need.I recently volunteered to help a a few kiddos on an angel tree at a local school. They weren’t asking for toys, but for boxes of food, toothbrushes, toilet paper, etc. The staff at Sunrise found out about it and showed up in a big way to help out! That’s the kind of amazing humans that work here! We all know caregivers receive nowhere near the thanks they deserve… I wanted to take a minute to say, thank you!! Because of your generosity we were able to help so many more families. On behalf of a bunch of elementary kiddos who will have a better meal because of people like YOU, thank you so much!!!!
Marina Riedel: We love the homey, family feeling at Sunrise, between the way everyone knows and loves my mother, to the comfortable furnishings, it all makes my mother feel like she’s home. The staff are so sweet and attentive to her. When she needs help she doesn’t feel afraid to ask because she knows the response will be kind and quick. We’ve had my mother in several other faciities, and I tell everyone that Sunrise is the best! Nobody else comes close.

For generosity. I love the Lord and she does too. I'm grateful for the many billions who cherish their parents, but "Mom" is "mine". She cannot think for herself; she needs myself and my brother to entirely make decisions for her. I KNOW that when I visit and leave her at Sunrise Grosse Pointe Woods, she is loved, cared for, clean, fed, and treated with uncommon dignity and regard. Should anything happen to her, their response is quick, their care is of the finest quality and at the highest standards known to extended residential care facilities in the United States.I am certain of very little in this life, but of this I am certain: my beloved Mom is safe. I Praise God for Sunrise Grosse Pointe Woods, Mi.
brenda Neely: Don’t try to get a position here. This is the second time I’ve tried applying and each time I stopped the process due to the lack of urgency of the staff.
William Gaggos: Sunrise takes care of my Aunt who has dementia. I am an estate lawyer by profession and have over 25 years dealing with countless facilities. This Sunrise location I would rank as among the best in terms of their sincere desire to help families and the patient. The medical/personal care is excellent, they are responsive to our needs and questions, the food is very good and facility is exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend Sunrise GPW to my family, friends and clients.

I was honestly truly upset with my experience, or lack of, with KeAirah. I honestly just wanted help or advice of any kind and she blew me off.

Jim Colson: My 93 year old Mother has been at American House Memory Care for the past 11 months and we have been pleased with the facility, staff, and care. The new Executive Director has provided excellent leadership and listens and communicates well with both Residents and Family Members. Morale is high among Nurses and Aides and we especially enjoy the wide range of Weekly Activities that my Mom can take part in.A great choice for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care
Marge Freundl: Had an appointment to tour this facility. Danielle was a great tour guide, open to questions and forthright in her answers. Residents in independent, assisted, and memory units were actively involved in activities. Looks like nice outdoor facilities for spring and summer. Pricing provided looked reasonable.

John Chase: My mother was a happy resident at American House Cottage for close to 2 years. Mom loved it. My family found the staff to be outstanding. Excellent care and a perfect location for my family. Thank you to all of the staff for your loving care given to Mom and your patience for her family.
Maria Bardy: Location is wonderful, however the apartments are small and dark compared to other facilities. Outdoor space is limited. Admissions staff and the overall assessment process for my parent was not handled in a professional nor courteous manner.
Jenny Vezina: I used to be a nurse at Cottage hospital back in the 90's then moved to Florida for 28 years. Well I moved back and to my surprise they had made a beautiful Assisted living out of part of this historical building. I can't think of a better place to live as a senior, not only is the building proper gorgeous the neighborhood and community is one of the best in all of Michigan!
