C. McD. Goodrich: Great wines by the glass and a well manicured selection of wines by the bottle. It's not an overwhelming selection, but a very good one. The meats and cheeses are mostly typical with some interesting options sprinkled in (smoked duck is terrific). I always enjoy my visits here and make it a point to stop in when I'm in town.

Mary Bostic: Went randomly one night they had karaoke that night had a blast it's got another level inside everyone was friendly and very welcoming everyone supported one another even if you couldn't sing the songs with karaoke and also have their own different types of why and even offer you to buy it while in there and you can drink your own bottle of wine at the table and very nice low-key spa and everything is done through cure skin you cure scanned your order for drinks food and you QR scan your songs for karaoke bar staff was nice welcoming environment and haven't been to a decent place and a long time and I give this 5 Stars this is not meant for a younger crowd this is strictly for 25 and up and people who are on their grown ish. It's a small business not a lot of room but do host private party's
Curt Swogger: So good! Bobby and the team are awesome. Love the variety of wines. Love that the vineyards are owned and operated by women. Come in, grab a bottle, get some charcuterie and relax. All the wines are presented by density and the staff are knowledgeable to help find one to your liking. Sit up stairs for some privacy. It's our goto before we "walkabout". Good times!

Emily Jantz: I cannot describe how wonderful this place is. The bookshelves of wine complete with sliding ladders give it such a cozy vibe, the staff is welcoming and warm, and the wines are diverse and delicious. This is my favorite place in Detroit for a cozy date night or a long conversation catching up with a friend or two. If you love wine, you'll adore this place; if you don't know much about wine, ask the staff for a suggestion and they're always spot-on. And on top of all of that, the wine tastings on Wednesdays are free and often run by a small business owner. You won't regret trying it! (There's often street parking a block or two west if you're not finding any, fyi.)
Rosy Hobson: My friend took me here. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely spot. We sat upstairs in the loft area which is a very decent size. I enjoyed every sip of my Spanish wine. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a romantic evening or just want to hang and talk with a friend. There is also plenty of room for bigger groups. If you love wine and is searchihg for something "different", this is the place.
Shawn Nolastname: I left Pure Vin to take my friends to The Royce. Walked in at 10:36pm they told us it was last call. You're a wine bar not a traditional bar. I will never visit The Royce again!!!

Eugene C: I have been going to Royce since it has opened and for the first time I have had a bad experience at checkout. A wine bar should never have a corkage fee if they are charging retail prices the wine (which I served myself). Corking fees are for restaurants that allow you to bring in your own bottle of wine. THIS IS NOT TYPICAL. I purchased a 20 something dollar bottle of wine and found out at checkout that there was an additional $15 corkage fee. I’ve been going here for six years and Typically spend over $100 each time. I am debating I’m not going back.
Marisa Hamel Casazza: The wine here is amazing. Be aware there’s a $15 in-house wine corkage fee. I’ve been coming here for 6 years and today was the first day they’ve imposed the fee. Not sure how a $15 fee on a $20 bottle of wine makes sense. I love Royce and understand that there’s a high price to bringing great wines to us. But I don’t understand the high corkage fee (also served myself the wine).

KiKi Dasher: I was looking for a restaurant not too far from the Fox theater because I was attending a concert with my son. I tried to make reservations online and had difficulty. I spoke to a nice young lady and she got me a reservation. I’ve never been to this restaurant and our sever Ibrahim was very attentive and he suggested a cocktail that complimented my meal. We were asked about special occasions or dietary restrictions and that was awesome. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean. The food and service was excellent and I’m sure I’ll be back.

Eric Lindsay: This is a must stop for anyone in Detroit. Make a reservation as it does fill up every night. Its my fav burger in Detroit but everything on the menu is a must try. Kelly Marie: I think this place has a lot of potential. I worked in the service industry for a while and I expect a certain level of decency from staff. The general manager did not seem to have that. I was accused of feeding a backserver caviar which never actually happened. I apologize if my verbiage came off wrong- please show me your cameras. My group was cut off and we decided it was best to leave as the vibe was off. You know, nobody fell over, no one yelled, I was accused of making “slurs” and honestly we just came in for some late night food around 9 pm. I’m still not sure what the real issue was. I’m so over spending 300Plus dollars to be treated like trash. If the owner is reading this- please reach out. I’ve been coming here for years and your GM needs an attitude adjustment.

Todays Present: We had a wonderful time getting drinks here before dinner. I loved that Sean is an excellent bartender that can make what I'm feeling/looking for even if it isn't on the menu. I would totally return here again and again to try something new. Even though we had a reservation, the space is small and it only takes 1 group (especially if they are loud) to really change the mood of the place.

Turns out Candy Bar is inside The Siren hotel, but by the time we figured that out, we were a little late for our rezzie. They were really nice though and it didn’t matter. Drinks were really great, about $15 each; no food. People were friendly, definitely recommend a rezzie as it is very small.

Luke Lordes: Drinks were amazing!! Most were about $16 so pricy but for a night out with friends very cool experience. The location is small so either reserve a spot or pray you somehow can get in. The host (male, dark hair, dark eyes) was the nicest! We got there when it wasn’t yet too busy and he sat us down right away and told us we could stay for an hour until the table which was reserved was needed. So he made it a great experience by being honest yet super friendly and accommodating.

Armed with a reservation, we arrived at 9pm and were ushered into the back of a hotel, making for a not-so-secret speakeasy sort of vibe.Oddly, for a gorgeous Saturday night, there were only six other people in the tiny, pink on pink bar. Which is actually what brings my rating, and our experience, down so low.Our first drinks didn't appear until nearly 25 minutes into our seating, already putting us at the halfway mark. When we asked about snacks, they didn't have much but we needed a little something - sadly, they never came, and we weren't checked in on until we asked for the check.With three people staffing this tiny bar filled with four couples, you would really expect better service. And, for the prices, it really wouldn't have been too much to ask.
