Connie Kubinski: A very honest and fair priced company. You can tell they care about every client that calls. They straightened up my chimney cap for a low and fair price. Usually, other companies push small jobs like this to the back burner, but chimney cricket had my cap straightened the same day! I had issues with two other contractors that were going to charge me $750 to tuck point some small holes and straighten a crooked chimney cap. Chimney cricket was honest and told me I could use some caulk to fill the small holes I had concerns about, they saved me, cumulatively, about $500. Great company, highly recommend!

The cmpany came out they said they would inspect the chimney not sure what that looks like so I've never had a chimney inspection but he only looked up the chimney with his phone and told me that it was not in good shape, I believe he said the though the openings were rested when you pull on the chain.Either way I was interested in the pricing to get the fireplace repaired or to put in a wood-burning insert.The gentleman who came out I don't remember his name and he didn't leave a business card however he told me that he would get me the numbers the same day which was this Thursday the 1st or he would get me the estimate the next day either way it's two days later today is Saturday and I haven't heard anything.I left a message at the office hopefully I'll get a call on Monday

Jared Dykstra: I would not recommend this company if you want someone who will actually show up. In October I made an appt for early Nov. They called me before the appt and pushed it back to a Thursday a couple weeks later. That Thursday came and went so I called and asked what happened and they said they had me down for Friday, the following day. Friday came and went with no word so I called and left a message again and never received a return call.

Shelby Walsh: I was supposed to have someone come out to clean and inspect my gas fireplace today but was unfortunately no call no showed. I never got a confirmation of the appointment either. This was a reschedule from the last date because they had no gas technician and it was cancelled last minute. If they weren't going to be open today this date should have never been offered to me. Honestly the communication with this company has been horrible and I will not recommend them to anyone. My parents used them for their fireplace services and was happy with them but that has not been my experience.

When we discovered that the unit did not fit the opening of our original fireplace (1928 home), they worked with us to raise it up and get a unique surround created.Now our pup gets to enjoy it just in time for the Holidays!

Step Hen: I wish I had known before booking this company that it’s actually a conceptual theatre troupe posing as a chimney contractor. What they do is very cool (as long as you don’t actually need work done on your chimney): they tell you they’re sending a very experienced chimney inspector to your house; they actually send someone young and inexperienced; he proceeds to do a painstakingly thorough chimney inspection that goes on for several hours; he promises to complete the inspection notes during his lunch break; when you don’t receive them for a day, you call several times, but they avoid your number, so then you call from another number and they pick up immediately, promising the inspection report will be delivered ASAP; you might call and call again, but once they know your number, they never pick up; it’s been some time now and I still haven’t received the inspection report, which is pretty avant garde considering they knew I was on a tight deadline for my inspection period. 1 star for the chimney service but 5 stars for the performance art piece.

Dave Damitio: Terrible customer service. I made an appointment for a chimney sweep and they no called no showed. I called them and the lady said Dave would call me. I called back two days later because Dave had not called me back. Then they called me back the day after that to schedule another appointment of which Dave called me the day of and said he'd be at my place between 11:30 and noon. That never happened. Two wasted Saturdays waiting on a company that obviously doesn't want my business.

Alexis C: Dave came out and gave us an estimate for our chimney foundation to be fixed. He seemed to know exactly what he was talking about. He said they were running behind a couple weeks if we wanted to schedule the appointment. So a couple days later I called to make an appointment, which I never heard back until I called a few times. Finally he got back to me and said he would call closer to the time he could in a couple weeks because it was based on the weather (understandably). Two weeks passed...which turned into 4 weeks. Finally he called me again on a Thursday or Friday and said he could come Monday. Monday came around and he never called, never showed. I left a voicemail and he never called me back. My husband called the mainline and the assistant was supposedly confused as to why he wouldn't show, especially since he apparently already left for a job. After 3-4 hours, we decided that we were wasting our time. My husband called and had to leave a voicemail for the assistant and Dave saying that we were cancelling. Dave actually called back and didn't really have anything to say besides "okay" and didn't seem to have any idea of our scheduled appointment. We are hugely disappointed because we have been patiently waiting for our chimney to be fixed, which constantly floods our furnace and water heater with the rain we've been having. If Dave didn't want to do the job, then I wish he would have said so instead of wasting our time. Communication was terrible and I wouldn't recommend.

cindy gyorke: Wow, we smelled gas and dte said our chimney was leaking carbon monoxide so they shut down the furnace and hot water tank. So, no gas!! Called a few companies for service and they were all booked for 2 to 3 weeks for fireplace. Inspections and cleaning. Even after explaining we didn’t have heat they only said “sorry, we are all booked up”. Until we called America’s best (they were booked as well) but the secretary Carter said I’m going to call my boss to explain your situation. Within 5 minutes the owner Dave called and came out within two hours and left to buy parts for our job. They had to tuck point missing mortar, remove cracked ceramic chimney liner, replace chimney liner, new clay top and chimney top and replace hot water tank venting. They worked several hours and even finished the inside work when it was dark. Talk about a company who goes above and beyond.......highly recommended.

Downriver Business Events Group: I had an appointment a few weeks ago for an estimate on my chimney that I needed repaired in order to be able to move into the house that I just purchased. After struggling with trying to get an appointment for more than just an estimate MANY other Chimney and Roofing Companies, Dave was the only one who was on time with his estimate which was very reasonable.You might ask if Dave was this good why am I only giving this Company 1 star? There are two reasons for this. First, when I scheduled my appointment which Dave waited until the absolute latest date that he could which I reluctantly agreed to but also stated that I wanted and expected no more delays, he stated that would be at my house between 8:30 and 10:30 Am. After not showing up without so much as a call from him, I called him directly. When I asked him pointblank where he was, he stated that he was getting the material which I knew was a lie as there was no noise in the background whatsoever. Even if what he stated was true why would he not be prepared for this job given all of the years of Experience that he and his assistant stated that he had?There is no doubt in my mind that he had no plans or Interest in this Job and he was hoping or relying on my forgetting about this appointment. When he knew that I had caught him in his lie all he could say is that he was sorry before hanging up the phone right after that.The lesson learned here is just because someone fronts as being professional doesn't mean that they are. Based on my Experience with this Company they would serve the Public best by shutting their doors permanently as they don't know how to deal with customers or certainly show up on time. I also question whether they are capable of doing the work, however I guess they wouldn't be in "Business" if they didn't. If my Experience with them is like anyone else I feel for those unfortunate victims of this Company.F.Y.I. my second reason for leaving 1 Star is because I couldn't leave them none.
