Detroit Public Safety Headquarters: what do users think?
Oswaldo Plascencia: Horrible experience with their emergency operator. Sadly the operator was having a bad day or not in the mood to deal with emergencies. She should no be taking calls.
Adrian Creavalle Sr.: Great people. police fire and forensics all working together to make Detroit great again
Scale: Operater number 14 : you may not be God but your what god is / aka god son : meaning your gods never forgotten as also mine
Joel Sass: The place is ok. Interesting to walk around in.
Andre Rupert: State of the Art
R.P. Kelly: Very nice
Jason Jones: Tried to report someone who was going to steal $16,000 worth of parts. The operator couldn't help since the crime took place over the internet.
Rasun Thegod (RASUNTHEGOD): Free smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector... for seniors! Rm.308
Jasmine Jennings: Ms Johnson is really nice n pretty
Mark Jackson: Strictly business
Bradley Wells: I know the most wonderful person who works here, she is a 911 dispatcher who takes her job with the most professional attitude. The building it self is very nice looking, cozy almost.
Ronda Bozeman: Not a "Review", but an observation...You have the address as Third Ave....and Third is not and Ave, The address should read 1301 Third St.
DONALD ALLEN: Outstanding
Alfred Brock: The Detroit Public Safety Headquarters is a centrally located office space allowing the Detroit Police, Firefighters, Sheriff and others to carry out their important duties. The forensics department of the Michigan State Police works out this location as well. It is normally a very busy site. The road behind the buildings is closed off.If you are not sure which building to go to you can drive into the main lot in front of the bright green building and ask in the lobby. The buildings are modern in design. It is easy access if you have business there either through the main entrance or the side entrance or through the parking garage (which requires special permission).
Ashley Sutherland: When are you going to charge Robert Lewis for the 1996 murder of 12 year old Christina Brown, Lamarr Monson has already been exonerated and you have the forensic evidence and witness to go to trial. What a disgrace, greeting from Australia
Ess Cooper: Well although I only rated it three weeks ago, I’ve been coming to the Public Safety headquarters for about three years now on and off. The Michigan State forensic laboratory is located here, Detroit Police Department headquarters is located here, the Detroit fire department headquarters is also here. The Detroit police department gift shop is located here, this is where the chief of police James Craig usually gives most of his press conferences, It is also where new recruits will come for orientation and background processes went applying to the Detroit Police Department, Fire Department & other public safety related jobs.. There is not really an extensive search when you come into the building but you will have to take off all metal items and place them in a bucket as you walk through the metal detectors, you have to show your ID and sign a clipboard Once Upon inside.
Kim Kitchen: Worst homicide division ever! No return calls. Left numerous messages trying to find out about my daughters death from March 29, '17. I guess I should expect nothing less due to the fact of skin color. No wonder Detroit is the way it is. Thanks for the support for a grieving mother!
Nicholas Lozano: I've came to this place so many times , they always tell you something different , waste of time
Toniqua Davis: Good app

City of Detroit Department of Elections: what do users think?
Sonya Harris: Is there a real contact number. I think this is awful. This is one of the reasons the city of Detroit always looks bad.
Muqarrabah Miyzaan (Muka): Professional prompt service representative had knowledge and was well informed about policies. Was crowded and still got prompt service. Thanks
Leroy Simpkins: I fill out for the Absentee Ballot and drop it off at the drop box (the security guard assist me and directed me to the drop box.) the next day I called and they said that the application was being process, still have not received the absentee ballots so I call for an updated and my application isn't there.
E JAY: Unprofessional and disorganized organization. Been waiting a whole month to get paid.
Alicia Knott: The one star is for the City Clerk and I give the employees 5 stars. The employees were very professional and helpful you needed assistance. I appreciate the curbside assistance and the dropbox in front of the building. It would be nice to post on the website where the dropbox are located in and around Detroit. Now, as it relates to dilapidated building the city clerks needs to be fired. The garage where walk-in voting is currently taking place is awful. The lighting is very dim, it was chilly inside and social distance was difficult. There needs to be only 25 or 30 let in at time to ensure social distancing. The residents deserve more and the city clerks needs to rectify the current conditions asap. There needs to be free parking in and around the election office.
Karen Mealing: Good no problems
Mooka Boo1: Been calling for the past week and a half. Left voicemail on several phones. If I cant get in touch with you guys how am I supposed to find out wheres my check? ANY BODY ELSE WORK THE NOV 6 2018 POLLS ? DID YOU GET YOUR CHECK OR NO?
Mr. Teff: I called six times over three days and was on hold for 20 - 30 minutes each time without an answer. On my last call, I was on hold for over 45 minutes without an answer. I also left a message on the administrator's voice mail, but never got a reply. "Your call is very important to us...." Yeah, right!
Christopher Davis: Accepting Absentee Ballots Till Before Polls Close
Suzanne Thomas: I was there yesterday and I got ripped off by the lot next to the building. I parked there many times before and I always pay upon entering because the stop at the entrance before you can park. Yesterday was no different. I gave the attendant a $5 bill and asked did he have any handicapped spaces available because I didn't see any marked in the lot. He directed to the first empty spot along the fence facing the adjacent lot. I came back about a half hour later and noticed a cone behind my car and wandered why. I moved it and got into my car when he came to my door and asked me for $5. I told him that I've already paid him and he kept saying that I didn't. Like a fool, I gave him another $5 so I could leave and told him that I would never park there again even if I had to walk 10 miles to find a space. I reported it to the elections staff and the director is supposed to be giving me a call about it.
courtney powers: They never answer the phone. I was on hold for over an hour.

City of Detroit Planning and Development Department: what do users think?
Kiel Ruso: This is by far the worst city to get a permit in. Takes hours.. multiple floors.. They will completely ignore you and make you wait for no reason.. Every person here needs to be Fired... they have ZERO customer service ability. They are LAZY, RUDE, and INCOMPETENT
Todd Scott: The Detroit Planning department has changed dramatically of late. They have been given the capacity to do more to shape the city's redevelopment. The staff bring a great deal of experience to the department from across the US.

Michigan Treasury Department: what do users think?
M S: Now run city of Detroit and it's a mess no one knows anything. They send you a debt amount and can't tell you what it is for and when you send documents no one receives them.
Evelyn Turner: I miss coming into the old General Motors building and seeing beautiful old cars and trucks in the corridors of the building. History... observing the accomplishment of Detroit Michigan Motor City.
Brianna Jackson: Terrible service, not exactly the employees fault. What’s the point of having customer service available if they can’t help with anything. I filed my 2021 taxes mid February, it was held because of an assessment that was supposed to be complete 5/16/22. Still nothing. It’s not right to hold peoples money at a time like this when people are struggling to pay bills. That money could really help me right now and they can’t even answer when anything will happen.why hold so many peoples taxes if you don’t have the staff to complete assessments I’m a timely manner. It’s been 3 months now, they claim that is the max wait time and I’m still waiting.
Marquise Vaughan: It takes them 2 days to return a call, so I emailed them and it took 5 days for them to respond. I get a call and the first thing the lady says with an attitude is, "What part of the email don't you understand." I explained that I didn't know I had to file City tax because I'm not from here and instead helping me out she just blamed me and said if you filed your taxes the we wouldn't be having this conversation. This is your job, help me because you know this information, that's like me asking you about y-site compatibility or what Amiodarone or Precedex is for..... it's not your job to know that and I dont expect you to know that because that's my job. After I graduate I'm leaving Detroit completely.
A Toliver: Customers service lady you know who you are. UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE AND NEED TO QUIT IF YOU NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR JOB.
Jesse Frizzell: After calling in and going through a lengthy verification process to ask where my refund is that was pending review past its completion date.... I was told the treasury department wants to see a copy of my photo I.D. to make sure its me.... when asked why no one ever called, I was told they can't handle the 10,000 letters and calls they would have to make. That's reassuring, so you intentionally over burden your work load but I'm supposed to mail in a copy of an ID from this State (#2 in human trafficking) on top of the already overwhelming number of letters they can't handle... talk about developmentally disabled. Since when does the treasury department oversee identity theft? I was also reassured I would be getting interest ontop of my refund, I hope they add penalty fees they would charge me if I owed. I also hope they are patient, like them, I may need 60 days to process if I even send in their request that I am not legally required to follow. And after that, I'm not responsible for what happens to the mail after it leaves my home.
Ann Green: My taxes under pending review, expectancy completion date has past four weeks ago. What’s the update MI STATE? Sad!
riflemen: Can't get in contact with anyone.
Cheyenne Murphy: THEY MESSED UP MY W2'S NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 16 WEEKS TO GET MY IRS REFUND
Steven Stavropoulos: no way of reaching them. I have to take time off work to physically go in.
Rose Sneed: Im going in circles with this place trying to reach them.

Detroit Buildings & Safety: what do users think?
Montina: City of Detroit is sadly using BSEED to extort money from homeowners and investors. You will be fined first and questions asked never and no chance for a fair process.
Sam Hindo: Customer service is horrible. Not to mention how Disgusting it was to be fined over a thousand dollars and did not get a fair citation hearing . City of Detroit is money hungry , corrupt , and will milk you for every dollar you have , if you are reading this do not become a landlord in Detroit they are a bunch of clowns and take the tenants side.
PAUL RITZ: Keeping the City elevators safe.
Rick Man: City-County building need to make a lot of new changes to better serve their customers
odeesh odeesh: Horrible service every time I call nobody picks up the phone and when you go there in person the staff are very rude lazy, and not helpful at all. as a contractor I don't wanna do any work in Detroit no more
Lexa Gon: The Customer Service here is useless! One lady was literally whispering through the phone and I told her that I couldn't hear her and she still was whispering. I called again asking for help and the another lady was really rude and at the end she said she needed to take the next call and that I was using up her time! What in the world!? The people who are calling you guys have real problems and you're worried about your call time? Why is this place hiring unprofessional people?
Tom Jennings: About the dumbest people on the face of the earth. Pay a bill then they keep sending the same bill. Call down there and they say they straightened it out. Then they keep sending overdue notices referring it to their legal department. Idiots!!!
Carl: I thought Metro Detroit Property Management was just on bs about making repairs. Now it seems like you guys are as well because I called for someone to come out to do reinspection earlier this month for him to not come out and tell me “if I’m going to issue a ticket I don’t have to come back out” then I call today to see it he can do that without coming back out I’m told he can’t and it’s no tickets on file. So he lied to me plain as day for no reason.
Alexeis Espinosa: Horrible service - Called dozen times and I've been hung up on, left on hold for a long period of time without an answer. Once they answer, they leave me in total silence. The one time I managed to reach someone, I was told that it was the wrong department, although I clicked on the menu stating otherwise. I was then transferred and guess what.... it was the same extension.... this place is a nuthouse and is in prompt need of some organization. Total chaos! I would leave zero stars, but at least one star is required to be able to leave a review.
SHELLYB313: They did a good job whatever problem they were having I promise you it's A lot better thank you guys
Jessica Swanson: No one picks up the phone. Every number you call just directs you to another number.
Alexis S: Unprofessional, lazy incompetent staff. If you want anything done here you will have to contact a supervisor and even then you may not be so lucky. I actually had to file a complaint on the supervisor over the electrical division, scooter, for being so unprofessional when calling to complain about one of his inspectors! Took over a month for me to get an electrical permit approved! Save yourself the trouble and do business outside of Detroit
Raven *: Believe it or not, BSEED, phones are supposed to be answered. Why are appointments still being required with a dramatic dip in infection rates? How is such a department actually closed on a Friday? Big money could be held up be a Use of it. Why does a phone menu system have so many menu options in a single office? Just confusing. My call was ultimately dropped? I was told that I was being transferred to a correct department but then placed back at the start of the phone menu. Whyyyy City of Detroit?Sosubsequently, I actually visited in-person because I couldn't get a person to answer the phone or respond to am email. I entered a sitcom. I have never interacted with any establshment so bent on doing as little as possible. So first, as mentioned, the place does not respond to calls, emails or offer proper directions. Entering the City-County building where the office is located is maximum hassle. The building used to have 3 entrancesfor the public. The closed two if those leavong only the entrance furthest from any parking opened. The entrance closest to the closest parking structure is dedicated to employees-- roped off to the public.BSEED requires an appointment. On my way to the appointment, I was informed of a 10 minute delay by an automatic system after I had booked. There were no other appointments then booked. Weirdly, after the 10 minute update, I was asked by an auto text if I wanted more time. I saw a little traffic, so I responded, yep. The immediately reply back from the system was essentially, we can't accommodate. No more appointments. I decided to go still and alert the apparent auto system that I knew that there were appointments because I had checked before hand. No surprise through building and on the 5th floor where BSEED offices are located, vacant. On the 5th fllor, I didn't see or encounter another customer. On the third direction I apparently landed in the right place. I was there to challenge inspection fees that were being charged for a time we didnt own the property. I'll get to that. Before I arrived in the third place, I entered the second. Sign commanded, ring bell once. I rang. I could hear behind the divider across from counter where I was standing the conversation of the employees. They were discussing a TV show. I rang the bell again. They heard and scolded me. Then, after minutes, an employee from a different direction saunters over while in a conversation with another employee. He continues his conversation while I stand there while he discusses his personal home improvement project. "I need a wrench to get underneath a toilet or something," I heard him explain. Frustrated, I threw up my hands and/or sighed. Only then did he turn to me. I explained my issue and he did as city of detroit employees particularly love to do, sent me off to different personnel or point out some deficiency in whatever is presented, requiring a resident torequire u to return. This dude did the former. The next office did the latter. I was told I need to return with a copy of the deed to the property in order to challenge the prior fees. That's stupid. All they need to do is look up ownership chain which they themselves could look up on the very public and available grantor-grantee index and no doubt 5 other ways. Also, the City should assume the burden of the proof. One would think that assigning the right party the charge would increase the probably of payment. But, no. On our time and money no matter how little effort it would take them just to correct. So I asked the manager, Mr. Nunn, ilf a deed is going to be required to conduct business, shouldn't that be posted so people won't waste their time and money? No answer. Maybe, if u just pick.up phone, people could ask" Mr. Nunn responded with a trick question. The general number, I replied. He knows that people call the general number than go into the menu. So people cannot know the number to any specific area or person.
Matt Smith: Place is cray cray.
Jason Hawley: if they got more than one star the review is from someone who works there . main reason we dont work in deteoit
PJ Jonna: Everyone who works in the building, plan review, zoning, licensing, and dept. of civil rights inclusion/opportunity are AMAZING. They are great representatives of the city of Detroit working at the highest levels of professionalism and integrity. I have always been treated with respect while working with them and they are SOME OF THE MOST HELPFUL PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. THANK YOU!PS: Be patient while waiting for their help. They deal with an immense amount of people and they need time to properly address everyone.
Nat Zorach: Some really good people in this department. Some, not so much.
kiel ruso: This place has changed completely.. for the better!! Great customer service!! Waaayyy faster than before as well!.
Bryan DeHenau: Getting registered took a while, but once that was done, the process was fairly simple for a large city with lots of dangerous buildings with special needs. Future permits can be pulled Online, thats a first in the Metro Area.
Somethings Happening: Getting a permit here even for something as basic as a roof is horrible expect an entire day as well as a 25 dollar parking fee.It took me over 4 hrs to get a permit (both times in 5 years)and I thought I was prepared. The workers need a hospitality course(not everybody) ,i am hard of hearing, I felt like I was bothering people even going there for a permit.Upon arrival I told them what kind of permit I was here for. But for some reason I filled out forms i didn't even need to but was told to,then had to get them notarized lol by the time i made it to plan review they had no idea why someone would even want me to fill those out.the notary was rude and belittled me asked me where I'm from ? I said east side alot of shaking heads and rolling eyes after that ,questioned if I had the right ID if it was even me because she didn't like my signature .asking questions or stating opinions will not be tolerated. Going desk to desk for something 1 person could do is ridiculous these people will be getting pensions I will not? people chatting about what ever in hallways taking a break while you wait. If this was a business IT WOULD FAIL oh yeah it did one time before wasn't it the biggest bankruptcy in us history?I understand it's a big city. This is why alot of roofers just do the job in one day and dont get a permit
J L: Absolutely disgusting...rude and totally disrespectful employees, sitting around playing on phones and tablets while people wait, sent me to 10 different rooms and floors, then sent me to cubicle 15 for a plan review? Sat there for 15 minutes, finally asked what the deal was? Oh he's on lunch, u can wait or go...ya real nice. ANY other building department in ANY other city-- the employees are kind, curteous, helpful, and cognizant of the fact that people dont have time to waste...i cannot believe the stark difference between this place and ANY other building department. Still waiting at cubicle 15...time here 25 minutes, total time at building department, over 2 hours. (Any other bldg dept, e.g. livonia, your looking at 5-10 minutes max)

Coleman A. Young Municipal Center: what do users think?
jay s: The workers were all very nice .Very timely and good service
Ashley Issa: I came to handle my business this week and I felt out of sorts. Some employees made fun of me, some were kind, some were extremely rude. Why is this the norm? Why is this okay? Is it fun to come to your job to traumatize people who’ve never entered this government building before? Thanks for the experience, I do not recommend, I could have did without this experience.
Michael Robinson: Put all my belongings in a plastic bag. Cell phone is allowed. Staff is informative and courteous.
Denise Green: Went to renew work License it was fast getting through security. The wait for my license was a little slow, paying at cashier was fast.
R H: Suite 207 employees made the application and fingerprint process extremely easy and enjoyable.
George Perry: The MFIC
Ken Taylor: Terrible they need to fire everyone and start all over no answering phones it just hangs up on you that comes from family members getting family members hired and they're not working mayor duggan
PORSHA BINION: As a current security guard at CAYMC we are not rude we greet everyone that enters the building.. no job is perfect and no employee is perfect at the end of the day we are all human. For the ones that had a great experience that you for making our job easy and for the ones that didn't like there experience it's never our intention to be rude to anyone
net Dedvukaj: Today I came with a lot of questions on a few different subjects but the main thing I was looking for was getting my building permits in my name getting the paid and applied for Uraina helped my out and went above and beyond she helped me and was all set within 15mins she helped me and answered all my questions and as well as set me in the right direction to another office I have to visit as well. Everyone in the office of 408 was great! Thank you! My young daughter and I were treated amazing!!!!
JaVon henderson: i’ve been calling for 3 days straight and i still haven’t gotten in contact with anyone.. i’m just trying to get a marriage license, who do i call when they’re not answering
Elizabeth Turner: I would like to leave a positive review for Sharon Black in the Building Department, 4th floor. She went out of her way to help me with questions I had with permits, and went above and beyond in providing additional information via email, and referred me to another staff person who could provide more information. Thank-you, Sharon Black!
H Marie: Leann on the 19th floor is amazing. She has a great attitude, and is very helpful. I was so grateful for her help in straightening out my documents. Not too many employees that day were very friendly, but she was a bright star!
Ronald Jackson: Friendly nice Cleaning Safe.
Zeke: Shout out babytron
Breanne Ward: Very unprofessional place. I went in for a CPL appointment that I made 5 months ago to their computers being down. Instead of accommodating all of the people waiting for their appointment in the hallway we were all told to make another appointment. Now I have to wait another 6 months. The staff was not understanding at all to "people have schedules." We don't all just have time to be waiting on the coleman building. Everyone was walking around saying the computers are down. No process for this or anything. So if you have to get a CPL in Wayne county plan on waiting a year plus. Ridiculous. Every other county surrounding is walk in basis.
Ali Jouni: Incompetent and never answers calls.
Leslie Zimmerman: A line to get in for security. Rude people. Department of Deeds is closed on Friday. Not a place I care to visit again.
Zakk Adelson: Absolutely disgusting place to go. Not only is it an absolute nightmare to find parking but once you finally do and make it to the building itself, it only gets worse. The security seem to make up rules as they go... i was made to do something and go thru the line multiple times due to them not telling me everything they required all at once. Its like they were looking to get under people's skin as i observed similar things happening to others as well.. if you can avoid coming here, do it at all costs.. terrible experience 10000%
Sandra Barley: Court is virtual.
Eric Stevens: I’ve been trying to set up a court date for a ticket for over a month now. Can’t get anyone to pick up the phone. I have been on hold for over an hour each time I call. Still haven’t spoke to anyone.
Venetta Mayberry: Love my City and All of my friends there in the building
