AD: I was thrilled to find this place. Then as time went on, things kept getting worse.The front end receptionist is crude, nasty, and terrible with people. The receptionist when you check out have always been very nice, and professional.Its a shame that everyone can't be that way. The women Barbara that normally does my eye exams is awful. She comes in late, disorganized, and does a poor exam. I let it go at first because honestly, I get it, we all have hard days. Once or twice, o.k. not every single time. Then the same lady gives me wrong information on the phone, has me drive 30 minutes to the eye center, and then barks at me when I get there that "I heard her wrong". This was in front of a customer, and another receptionist. Instead of apologizing for HER error, she chose to be cruel. Get yourself together lady, we all have stuff going on. Don't you dare take out your frustrations on me! Get another job if you can't handle the one you have.Dr. Akler, it’s your job to make your staff is kind, efficient, and competent, not mine. Your front end receptionist, and Barbara should be fired.

She recommended that the toric lenses would give me the best results. Her bedside manners are impeccable- she answered all my questions and alleviated my fears. David Charvat: Akler Eye Center is SO GREAT I cannot even express. I was recommended it by a friend and went for Lasik after being fed up with contacts. Their consultation process was easy and was able to schedule a surgery the next week. They walk you through everything you need to know and do and everyone that works there is so nice and accommodating. The surgery (which is done at a separate location) which is a scary thought was so fast and efficient and they put you at ease during the whole thing. The next day I was able to drive to my follow up and still a week later can't believe it. I would highly recommend them as I already have to two others already!

I got my eyes exam and went through choosing frames, lady told me two weeks which was great because I would be traveling for a month. Today I Couldn’t wait to get my glasses as soon as I landed. Went to the office and sat while the same person i ordered the glasses with, searched all over for my glasses that she never ordered.I am going back on the road tuesday so no chance of getting them. Imagine driving on the freeway and your glasses fall off your face, and you have such bad astigmatism you’ve been in glasses since kindergarten. everything is a hassle trying to see going through airports, trying to work. Now I don’t know when it’ll be over. it’s no big deal to them but for me it’s a new source of anxiety and stress plus headaches and even more trouble focusing. To make it even worse… nevermind just if you have another option, go somewhere else rather than taking a chance. plus you’ll wait forever to be seen.

They wouldn’t give me a sample even after telling them I needed them for work because my vision is horrible. Apart of my job is inspecting parts and I can’t accurately do so with my bad vision . Horrible customer service, all they care about is money . Instead of customer experience. After 10 years i feel betrayed . Will be looking for another eye institute

Aziza Ismailkhodzhaeva: Dr Gordon prescribed me eyeglasses and we ordered them at the Optical Plus office. I had to wait two weeks and when I picked them up , I noticed that the glasses didn’t change the vision. Turns out they forgot to put the Prism in te glasses which is the main reason why I am getting glasses in the first place. I am glad I noticed that mistake. Very inconvenient and unprofessional since the glasses are already paid and have to wait another 2 weeks before they send out the new ones with the Prism on it.

Sharon Jeter: At 71, I had been struggling with cataracts for a number of years. Although I stayed away from it, night driving would catch me when I miscalculated and stayed out too long. It was the worst. And don’t let it rain, very scary indeed! So I decided now was the time. My first appointment at Dr. Zuckerbrod’s office (Dr. Z) made me sure I had the right doctor. He had many patients—I wanted an experienced doctor. His staff is friendly and efficient as they keep it moving. I was out in a reasonable time. Most importantly, Dr. Z is very kind. The day of the first surgery, my daughter took me. Everyone made me comfortable. The heated blanket was so cuddly. It took some time for the eye medicine to work, but they soon wheeled me into the operating room. Everyone made sure I was comfortable. Next thing I knew, I was being awakened as it was all over. From that moment on my world brightened. My left eye aided by the surgery eye, seemed cataract free, until I covered the right one. The surgery on the right eye went so well. I could now see at night. In the daytime I discovered how much I had been missing. I couldn’t wait for the second surgery. Now that I have had the surgery in both eyes, I wrote this review without glasses. Thank you, Dr. Z, for giving me my eye sight back and for greatly improving my life.

Dr has years and years of experience, multiple offices including a surgical office, and so many in house rooms with equipment to make sure you’re getting the full check up and diagnosis. Gwendoline Ryski: I was happy at Byrd for several years. Then I had cataract surgery. I had trouble with my vision after the surgery. Dr Byrd had told me I was going to still have to wear glasses so I figured that was the reason. Then I couldn’t read out of my glasses. I went to see him. He kinda brushed it off. When it got worse I went to my Optometrist.I complained that I had to lift up my glasses just to be able to read. He looked at my glasses and came back to me and said he could get that fixed. Which he did with a brand new pair of glasses at no charge!Here is the sad part of my tale of woe. Dr Byrd moved several months ago. I didn’t find out until I showed up at the LP office for my next appointment. The office was empty. There was no note saying where they had moved. I had not received a reminder call.Yesterday I went to my Retina specialist for my check up. He asked when my next Opthamology appt was. I replied I didn’t know, why? He said there was some work to do to correct my cataract surgery.Needless to say, I am looking for a new Ophthalmologist.
