ilana Ben-Ze'ev: My friend and I decided Covid would be a great time to learn Spanish, but we wanted someone fun and engaging and also really good at teaching the actual language- not just parroting skills (sorry, that's all the apps do). We chose to have private (zoom) classes so we could move at our own speed. We started with a 10 class package and added 20 more- that should tell you. Classes include reading, conversations, grammar and translating from English into Spanish. Joaquin was very good about adapting to our needs. My Spanish speaking friends are very impressed with how much we learned. Puedo hablar y leer Espanol mas que antes de apprendo con Joaquin. (I'm sure there are some errors but we try.)

Sharon Howell: I am so glad that I found Joaquin and his wonderful little friendly school! From day one, we were speaking and conversing in Spanish and using the proper VERBS!!! which I now know was the critical missing link. The class is small and very friendly. We all came in at different levels and now that we are almost finished, and with his accelerated method of teaching, we are all pretty much at the same level of conversation. It was something that I did for my own personal enrichment but I am also now using my Spanish on the job because I am so much more comfortable speaking. The class has been an extremely fun experience and Joaquin makes everyone feel welcome.
