My son loves to look through their store and the staff is incredibly patient with his busy-ness and curiosity, always handing out stickers and asking if we need help! I’d highly recommend following them on Instagram (same name) to stay up-to-date on all their happenings and see an intimate look into their salvage, building, and creative process. If you’re a homeowner, or even just renting, I can’t recommend checking out this place enough. Hoping I can commission this team in the future to do an island for our kitchen!

We had some difficult obstacles to overcome design wise, and she was so patient and detail oriented.CJ was our installer and I felt like he became part of our family! Louanne Kuzdas: I had a very narrow space that I wanted to utilize between our washing machine and a wall. the opening was only 8". I searched for narrow shelves and came across The Shelving Store's web site. They had exactly what I needed, an eight inch deep shelf on coasters. I received my order in a day, the assembly was so easy. I was so please with their product, I tackled another tricky storage area, under a stairway that I wanted to utilize as a pantry. With a little help from the staff, I now have a pantry. I am very happy with The Shelving Store products and staff.

Katie H: I put in an order in to The Shelving Store on 09/22/2016. After waiting a week for it to be delivered I called to check on the status of my order and they told me my items were back ordered. This was the first I heard of this. The rep then told me they were expecting a shipment the following Monday and it would be shipped out then. After waiting another week I called again to see if my order had been shipped and the rep told me that an order had come in, but they had too many other orders to send out so mine did not get sent. She then told me another shipment would be coming in the following Monday and I should definitely have my items by that following Friday. I called that Wednesday to find out if my order had been shipped and the rep told me that the order was not going to come in now until the following Wednesday. I asked to speak to a customer service manager and the rep told me that she would email me. The manager, Kim, did email me, but I have since emailed her 4 times to which she has not responded to any of them. I have also asked to speak to a manager above Kim and have gotten no response. Two other emails listed on on the company's website both come back as undeliverable when you try them.As of today, 11/02/2016, I still have not received my order that I placed on 09/22/2016This has to be the worst online shopping and customer service experience I have ever had. I will never be ordering from them again. I hope all of my order is correct so I do not have to deal with this company to try and get replacements!

Lynne Cooney: Ordered shelves on 8/4/2014. They piled 95 pounds of metal in a box and the order arrived with several items bent or dented. Shipped replacements and I waited yet another week for those to arrive. This time, 2 of the 3 replacement shelves were the wrong shelves. I was promised that my replacements would be shipped 2nd day air, but the shipping notice says UPS ground, so I am waiting ANOTHER week to see whether they managed to get the order right.Phoned this morning to ask why my shelves were not shipped 2nd day as promised and was spoken to rudely. The person on the phone said that she did her part -- she put a note on the order. She told me that she does not ship orders.

My installer Dan was a rock star! Meticulously and precisely fabricating and installing away like a surgeon, it all started coming together in real time. Like watching an artist sculpt something live. The tolerances in the joints and the corners, and everywhere were spot on tight. Couldn't ask for better.I could not be happier with the end result of this journey. I've been recommending California Closets to my friends and coworkers when ever I get the chance. Although the first company I met with was least expensive. I wasn’t satisfied with their lack of professionalism, outdated technology and cheap product. So I scheduled a meeting with Meagan and she sealed the deal for me. She was knowledgeable, informative, on time, professional and patience. After going through the designs and making changes to fit my budget, she never became frustrated or inpatient with my indecisiveness.My system was installed on February 10, 2023. The installers Ron & Cory were pleaseant, professional, friendly and very helpful. They made sure the working area was covered with dust cloths, leaving the area clean after the installation was complete. They also removed their shoes after every trip to the truck to unload which I appreciated. After the system was installed, not only did I have a space to organize my clothing. nadia hamoudi: We started out to do only the master closet and ended up using California closets for all the kids bedrooms closet, pantry, mud room and laundry room.We love each and every space California Closets worked on. Megan Donavan was absolutely amazing to work with. She listened to our requirement and was able to come up with a quick design that checked everything we asked for.The design part took about an hour or so, changing and adjusting were simple. The master spaces turned out better than we were expecting.The pantry had enough storage space to keep pantry items and enough to move some of kitchen items as well to keep the kitchen clutter free.After we ordered cabinets for the laundry room, we decided to change the washer and dryer, giving the team different dimensions to work with, and without hesitation, Megan came back and re measured the space and made sure any changes was quickly added. The laundry room looks incredible and with plenty of space to fold, store extra cleaning products and tools.I have to say that I was hoping installation would be quicker from the time to order materials but honestly their time was quicker than any other project we have seen. Installation team were quick once they were in our home. Nilia L.: Paid over $200 for shoe containers, so you expect them to be $200 quality when you get them out the box right? No, tabs were scratched up and that’s fine. Returned them at the store for replacement, but even the replacements they gave me had scratches on them. When I brought this to their attention I was told “it’s gonna happen regardless” & had to purchase acrylic scratch solutions from them for something that’s a quality issue on their end. If I would’ve known that “it’s gonna happen regardless” I would’ve not made a drive and wasted my time. There was no accommodation for the inconvenience or care at all, just a deal with it attitude, customer service sucks.

Esther Kennedy: Wish I could put more than 5 stars. Walked in looking for a king size bed and mattress, got quoted an excellence price for a very popular bed. Went back wanting a different bed. They were able to order the bed I really want, in the color I want, the size I want with the mattress I fell in love with at the beginning. They even took a step further to disfigure their show room to show how high my bed would sit adding a low profile frame. Which was something else I wanted. Needed height for my back problems.
