Binell Brothers Cutlery: what do users think?
Logan Collier: Fast, Cheap, great service. I won't take my knives anywhere else
Ronald Wilson: EXCELLENT SERVICE
Phillip Kwik: Somehow found by my partner 10 years ago, this unbelievably inconspicuous place has a staff that sure know their knives. More importantly, a standard kitchen, wood handle French knife with great balance runs you 15$. Less than a lobster roll off of a food truck in Troy. Plus, they sharpen them for $2 a pop. I did not think places like this existed anymore. Stop by. Buy a knife.
Toni J: Great price, service and they did a great job.
Michael Matigian: This is the only place to have your knives sharpened !! Professionals do the work and it shows !
Deborah Washington: Fast service, great job!
Ayman Maatouk: Great experience! Super fast service. Will definitely come back! Thank you
Wood Splitter: Excellent knife sharpening service. Friendly staff. A great place to purchase bulk spices and sausage making equipment and materials.
janine dixon: Great service. Super helpful and polite. Fast and very affordable. The shop is pretty neat to hang out in while you’re getting your knives sharpened.
Dale Ash: Found on a Google search I drove 30 mins to use their service. Very happy with the results. I will return when the knives are in need again.
Lisa Phelps: I was in need of some household knifes and some hedge & hand trimmers to be sharpened this morning. Through google, I found Bindell Brothers Cutlery. When we arrived we received a warm greeted by the owner and staff. The owner personally cared for us. He sharpened, I believe 7 items while we waited there a very short time.He shared that in the early 1900's his father would go from restaurant to restaurant with his equipment and sharpen their cutlery on the spot. This equipment is sitting at the front of the store. The quality of his work is wonderful and the prices are beyond reasonable. I will keep coming back.Thank you for taking care of us today.
Travis Campbell: Super friendly, quick service!
Onaspring: Could this place or the employees be any cooler? Nope. More than fair pricing (they should increase their prices I think), super fast sharpening, didn't even take long enough to need a chair to sit in. Plus very reasonably priced knives for sale. Can't beat it. Look forward to returning every 4-6 months until the end of time. Perfect experience.
Ken Subala: Couldn't have had a more pleasant experience this morning! Gentleman that I presume was the owner, was knowledgeable, professional, and most friendly. For the fishermen out there, they have an assortment of sharpened used fillet knives for $3. A real steal!
Jeremy Stefanski: Great customer service!
Joel Alpert: They sharpened my twelve knives while I waited in their parking lot. Super nice owner. Extremely reasonable prices. Wish I had known about this place years ago. I'll tell all my friends. By the way, during the pandemic they were all wearing masks.
Nanette Nette: A hidden jewel! I wish I had known about this place sooner. I forgot to bring my box-o-knives and bought used sharp ones that didn't break my wallet. Love supporting local family owned business, especially ones that have been hustling for almost a century! Anyway, I'll update this review and add pictures when I come back and bring the knives.Update: Ok I came back a week later and found out that they also sold spices and bought sumac. I brought my whole kitchen Mish mash of knives to be sharpened and they told me about 30 mins which was enough time to go make an errand while I was in the area. Easy and quick and can't wait to start using these knives. Love dealing with kind no-nonense business. Will recommend!
Ellen Kelley: Great place to Take knives to be sharpened, while you wait. They habe MANY years of experience.
Chris Wall: What an awesome place. It's definitely an old school experience going there, but then, isn't that what you'd expect from a family-owned business that's been around for 100 years? The folks there are nice and friendly, willing to answer questions or just shoot the breeze (if they aren't busy). And the price... $2 per blade... Are you kidding me?And fast... They sharpen your knives while you wait, and you don't wait long. I think it took them five to ten minutes to make my knives razor sharp! But all this wouldn't mean anything if their work was shoddy.IT MOST DEFINITELY IS NOT!!! When I got home, I immediately put my chef's knife to work. It was so sharp, I barely felt the tomato I sliced into super-thin slices. Like buddah!!I think my knives are sharper than when I first got 'em!!Thanks Binell Brothers! You guys rock!
Aditya Karandikar: Hole in wall shack/garage operation that is definitely worth a visit to sharpen knives and/or buy spices. Ridiculously reasonable prices and very friendly staff!
Laura Martinez: Very quick. Did not have to wait long at all. Great service!
