karen edge: My husband was referred to Dr .Pompa to have an Endoscopy with ultrasound procedure was to take place on Jan 18,2019. On Jan 10th my husband began having severe abdominal pain I took him to Beaumont in Trenton where they diagnosed him with Pancreatitis and had him transferred to Henry Ford (Detroit) since he was going to be seen by Dr.Pompa they thought it best if he was there. After a day of treating him for the pain we were told by one of the GI residents that he would go home and have the procedure done as planned on Jan 18th. They sent him home with enough pain meds to get him through till his procedure. On Jan 16th my husband received a call by Dr.Pompas office letting him know that his procedure had been moved to Feb 14th. My husband proceeded to ask what should he do for the pain since the procedure was moved to 4 weeks later and also asked how would they know when his Inflammation was gone without ordering any further Lapase levels. She did not have an answer. Over the next few days I called Dr.Pompas office to get some answers 1/15/19, 1/17/19, with no return phone calls I also left 2 messages on Henry Ford my Charts with no response. On Feb 14 we had the procedure done 3 hours later then scheduled which I understood on the account of Dr's doing procedure and not sure what will happen during them. We met Dr.Pompa and liked him very much he had a wonderful team who was also all very nice. It was just sad how we were treated leading up to meeting him and having the procedure.Karen Kissel

AuStina Murphy: I had a 3:30 PM appointment with Dr. Patrick Brown in Gastro. I was there early approximately 3:15 to check in. I was not taken back until about 4:00. I sat and I sat. I looked out into the hall and no one was there. I sat even longer. Finally, I called Henry Ford to reschedule since it was pushing 4:30 at that point (an hour later). The operator set me up with a new appointment a month away (disappointing) but at another location (which is what I wanted after this debacle). Dr. Brown's nurse Tiffany W. hands me discharge papers as I am exiting the room and I had never been seen by Dr. Brown. Then I see a doctor walk by and ask if he is Dr. Brown (he was on his phone earlier). He says yes and both him and his nurse Tiffany W. try and apologize. At this point, I let them know this is unacceptable and that I had Henry Ford on the line rescheduling. The doctor says repeatedly, 'I'm sorry," "she's new," "I can see you now." I told him "NO!" I don't feel like they are taking my health seriously and I am just a number to them. The Henry Ford operator told me to ask for the manager's number at the front desk to make a complaint. I received a phone number and I will be calling in the morning (as it's after 5PM) due to office being closed. I also let them know I had to drive into Detroit (30min.) to not been seen. This is totally unacceptable!

S. Wackerle: Was hoping we would get some answers for my wife's condition. Still haven't got any type of positive feedback what so ever. Seems the doctors like to go back and try several things that haven't worked already.. This place is a joke. When I see doctors actually caring and acting professional instead of misconstruing what they were told or assume something else, then maybe ill have some faith in them. Until then. They did absolutely nothing besides prescribe what was already done and nothing happened. Thanks a lot doctors. Try caring and having some compassion like a doctor should be. Then you will probably figure out what's going on with that patient.

Wafa AM: We met with Dr. Eva Alsheik. It was literally a waste of a visit. The front desk were very rude. On top of that, we met with her and literally she did nothing to help with my concerns. A waste of money.

D. Carrico: So, this review is strictly limited to the Valet parking. I’ve been looking at my car in front of the building for 45 min. It’s parked under the overhang right in front of the building, 20 feet from me. I’d like to go home, but no one seems to be able to get my keys. I’ve watched about a hundred cars come and go since I turned in my ticket. I got to spend $4 to look at my car for almost an hour. I guess I live here at Henry Ford Hospital now... Is it against the law to steal my own car? Seriously, what the hell.

Mcfly: If you love your family member, go somewhere else. My dad was dead after two days. Sent him home with a diagnosis of liver cirrhosis, acities and after being sent there for vomiting blood. Said “he’s all good, just needs rehab”! He didn’t even make through a whole night after they sent him home. He bled to death internally. My brother and I were lucky enough To watch him die. If you’re there with a drug or alchohol problem and have been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis because of it, they just look at you as a waste of space. I thought hospitals were supposed to treat everyone no matter what. My dad didn’t have a chance.

Jenifer Doyle: My father is in liver failure and very sick. Dr moonka sure doesn’t seem like he cares at all. My father is a patient of his, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get his medication or talk to anyone or get an appointment. Maybe a bad review will make you more responsive and care about your patients dying. If there were more liver specialists around I would make him change in a heartbeat. Unfortunately we are stuck here for the moment.
