The donuts were fantastic and the customer service was great! The staff were very friendly & took the time to talk with us when we told them we came from Baltimore, Md. My condolences to the family. Hopefully, this Detroit icon opens again soon. Mom & Pop establishments such as Dutch girls are very important to communities. I hope she makes a comeback.

Elmer Boutin: This place is inside the Penobscot Building, through the main entrance and up the stairs. I stopped in here for lunch with some friends one day while attending an event Downtown. I got a BLT, which was excellent. The others who were with me enjoyed their sandwiches as well. Since many of the other lunch places around here are closed, this is a good, well-priced option for a simple lunch.

A JJ: This place still has some of the better donuts in Michigan but they were much better before they sold the place. It use to be a family owned 24 hour donut shop where my friends and I would go there late night for coffee and donuts and play on their mini slot machine games. I’m not sure if they still have those but I had the donuts recently and they don’t taste the same. Still yummy but not as soft and fluffy as they were before.

Iam Matirio: So it was my first time in and I was very excited to find a fresh donut shop in my neighborhood, well close enough. I like a variety of jellied donuts, they had only one this day (11am ish). The employee was nice and everything looked delicious, I love the concept of making your own (a good experience for kids) however once I ate the jellied donut it was a terrible after taste, the initial flavor was good, texture good, but that after taste was absolutely terrible and I immediately brushed my whole mouth and mouthwashed. I got apple fritters also, good but no apples in it, just my preference. I will give them another shot (maybe) and hope I don’t have the same after taste. If so, it’s a wrap for me. I want everyone to win however this is my honest review.
