Nick: This was a first time experience, rather than loading up a truck and driving cross-country and I'm glad I did. This was run very smooth. After a simple phone call and setting up my account, I was sent a message on when the empty pods would be delivered. On the day of drop off, I received a driver ETA and the driver could not have been more friendly. After loading, called and they were picked up. I didn't even have to be there. I hopped in my car and drove cross-country. The best part, unlike a moving company or rental truck, the containers are sent to a facility and YOU decide when you want them. I called the destination center and my container was at my door in about an hour. I would certainly use and recommend U-Pack. The size worked for me too. A king bed, box spring and sectional fit into one pod, in additional to a large hockey bag, paddleboard(inflatable) and kayak. (Inflatable), plus a few wardrobe boxes.

My Relocube was delivered on time and picked up on time and the delivery people I worked with were so kind and professional. I would definitely recommend Upack and use them again. My entire move from Michigan to Tennessee with Upack was about $1200. A recent move from Texas to Michigan with PODS was more than $2300 and the experience was just okay, and I felt like I was paying too much. Also, my Upack took 3 days to arrive to my destination -- it was so fast! (For comparison, PODS took about 10 days). I'm very happy with my Upack experience.

Rahul D'Mello: Pick-up was easy to schedule for our move from Detroit to Portland. The cost was expensive when compared to driving a U-Haul (~25% more) but worth the convenience of not driving through the mountains. The trailer made it to Portland on the first day it was expected and drop-off was smooth as well. Some of our furniture was banged up a little on arrival and a few glasses were broken, but overall items made it safely.

People in the customer service are very professional. Only bad experience there was a tiny break in the trailer front wall what covered with my mattress. In a result found the mattress wet at unloading. Rachel Southworth: Used U-Pack for a move from Michigan to Illinois. Much easier than trying to find someone to drive a huge truck, and the pricing was very competitive. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional, and the pods were dropped off and picked up on time in both locations. My items arrived undamaged and just as I had packed them. Would highly recommend.

Stephanie Singer: My drop off of loading cubes went very well. The cubes are easy to load and are not obtrusive to street traffic. Shipment from MI to GA took about 3 business days. The drop off was slightly messy - I received two cubes in GA, however, one was not mine. This was slightly stressful but the company, once informed, took care of it promptly. I would use UPack again - but I would encourage better control of their distribution centers.

Dawn Shea: Similar to, but significantly less than PODS. I did quite a bit of research, from price comps, to reading reviews about lots of moving companies. Outside of driving your own truck, U-pack is the most affordable- even with a team to load our truck in CO and unload it in MI. Their communication was terrific at all times, transfer of our belongings took 1 week exactly and nothing was damaged on their accord (Denver movers damaged a few items while packing). We moved 4 FULL pods (a 3 bedroom house) across country and would definitely use U-Pack again (hopefully we stay put for a long time and don't need to though)!

Not a good time of year for cross country road trip in a UHaul - (with a dog to boot!). Transcontinental movers were VERY expensive and inflexible. U-Pack had flexibility and economy. Mike Olechowski: Been here for 3yrs now. They do a great job at keeping the place clean & well maintained, but I'm VERY disappointed in how they treat long time customers. My rate for a 10×20ft drive-up climate controlled storage unit started out at $225/month. Then they kept raising the price every 4 months or so to now, $382/mo 😡🙄😱 I feel taken advantage of at this point. They know you don't want to inconvenience yourself in transferring everything over to a different place, but it may soon be my time to go elsewhere at this price.Another drawback to this particular location is no 24hr restroom on site. Slightly inconvenient if you have a business & always there taking inventory, etc at different hours of the day/night or loading/unloading at night. I've been to other storage facilities that have this amenity.Staff has always been friendly & they finally put new LED security lights throughout so it feels safe at night.

Mary C: I usually don’t do many reviews, but I felt that I should share my experience with Rose moving. We had Jim estimate the move from Michigan to Florida. He spent almost two hours going through every room in my house. He estimated 22,000 pounds which turned out to be 32,000 pounds, so he was off by more than 10%. This error on his part costed us an extra $6,000 dollars. The estimate was before my son’s room and items were removed when my son decided not to move. Jim said it would be a day and a half to pack the truck for us. On the second day around lunch time the movers said that they wouldn’t be able to finish that day and didn’t expect a one and half day move. Jim came by the house and got more movers to come with another truck for them to pack up and finish the second day. There was an extra charge for over $500 for a smaller shuttle truck. So, I asked about raising the insurance deductible to offset that unexpected cost. I didn’t find out until later upon seeing the detailed bill (that was back dated) that Judy, the office person, raised the value of the insurance items when the deductible was raised, so the net effective of the cost didn’t change. I attempted to get that corrected along with items that Jim said I wouldn’t be charged for after I paid, but they did not even attempt to be honest about that and passed my request for the correction to someone else in the office that didn’t reach out to me. The things that Jim said did not collaborate with the movers which ending up costing us extra. In the end, I would not trust Rose Mover’s again even though my belongings made it to Florida. The moving team did replace one item (my desk) that was broken promptly.

Debbie Mann: Rose Moving and Storage coordinated a move between states with Allied moving. They packed my house of 22 years and stored it until I had a house new the new state. I'm80% unpacked and I have found nothing broken or missing. The crew that did the packing was good. They were flexible as my dates changed multiple times. It was a little more expensive that I originally figured it would be but I'm happy I used this company.

Shelly Kunz: The movers showed up very late, pictures of things that were taken apart were not provided to the crew that was putting them together. Many items were put together poorly

Terence Pitre: Delivery took 2 weeks and several things were melted from the heat of truck for a long period time or broken. Sadly the movers complained about taking things up a flight of Stairs and eventually ignored us and placed things in garage despite our plea. I was excited to use this service and support a women owned business. Sadly it just disappointed us in the end.

Dorota Delao: Absolute mess from start to finish. I was charged for 2 days of packing even though I informed Judy from the beginning that I packed majority of the items myself. The packers shoved one or two things into large boxes and a ton of paper. They took my labeled boxes and put them together into large boxes without any organization. Judy told me the delivery would take 3 days and the driver said next day. Thank God my husband was there, since it's 5 hours away. Judy failed to inform the driver that I made all the payments so my husband had to make an additional DUPLICATE payment when the truck arrived. I've reached out to Judy THREE times, no response. The crew that was there to unpack did not speak English. A third of the items are in the wrong room and we have to move them ourselves. The house we moved out of has a huge dent in the wall. Parts of shelves were broken and packed into boxes. No one informed of any damage.

Eric S: Do not order appliances from Home Depot for home delivery in this area of MI, as they use XPO for delivery. XPO delivered half of the appliances that were ordered. Somehow, the missing ones were not loaded on the delivery truck. How hard is it to make sure you’ve loaded full orders if you’re in the delivery business? So we call Home Depot to ask what happened, Home Depot had trouble getting through to XPO, only to be told by the customer service rep at XPO couldn’t get a hold of the XPO Delivery Hub. We tried several days of calls, only to be told no one at XPO delivery hub was answering. How do you not answer the phone when others from your company are calling? We later learned this is how XPO operates. Not sure how they are even still in business after all the horror stories we’ve heard about them. Also shame on Home Depot for continuing to use this business for their deliveries.

I even talked to a manager who couldn’t do anything!

I have security footage of the guys breaking the door off of my old refrigerator while moving them to my garage, then trying to hide the damage. After 45 days of unreturned calls and emails, I'm told that they are not liable for any damage done while moving old appliances. Stay away, if possible.

Werner Schipper: I had a scheduled delivery for today, which required me to take a half day of work off, and drive 160 miles for, only for XPO to change the delivery. I called at 6am to confirm, which is when their computer operator notes they open at. No one answered until 7. The girl that finally took my call at 7am sounded half asleep as she rudely insisted my delivery was not scheduled for today, even though I had confirmation from their auto schedule system that it was. She did not even want to try to problem solve, nor was she the least bit sympathetic to my plight.
