After my daughter leaves her lesson she is enthusiastic to practice and improve but more importantly her confidence in herself and her progress is bolstered which is no doubt due to the superior teaching style of her instructor. I have seen first hand the other instructors styles and lessons as well and can with confidence say they are all true professionals with a passion for teaching and the ability to connect with students.

Joe Vrabel: Andy and team are the best! After having them fix and set up a used strat I picked up, I was sold. I will never take any of my gear to the big-box "center" again. Andy and team will take you through the repairs/adjustments they did, in detail and answer any questions you may have. I now have had them repair & set up three of my guitars and each one came back to me looking amazing and sounding even better. I now go there for lessons too. eric kirkwood: I acquired a 1953 Gibson J45 that was found in an attic in royal oak. The guitar had so many cracks and loose bracing I was worried it might be too far gone. Andy completely restored and rescued the guitar while perfectly preserving its patina and charm and it is now the best player I own. I cant put it down. Being a craftsman myself, when I saw Andy's workshop I knew the guitar was in the right hands. This man is a highly skilled artisan. Many thanks to Andy, and to Aaron for the referral. Dr. Catherine McBride: Don't be fooled by the older good reviews, the owner changed in the summer of 2021. Chris, the new owner/manager's tactics and decisions are questionable. We moved to Axis music academy in West Bloomfield and we are having a much better time with better quality gigs and management.

Girish Shenoy: My daughter is a voice student at NikkMay for the last 5 months. Before joining NikkMay, her vocal range was limited. Now, I have observed a huge change. Mr. Nikk identifies areas of improvement and then focuses on that area with voice exercises and songs to improve the identified gaps. Mr. Nikk also encourages original song writing, giving ideas about music composition. His knowledge in music, method of teaching and ability to grasp the student’s deficiency makes him a great teacher. The opportunity to perform in a professional studio settings is also a great avenue to perform in a formal setting and has helped build confidence.

Our son started with their Summer Rocks! summer camp in 8th grade and continued with lessons until graduating from High School. He has also encouraged me to become more musical in playing and introduced me to other musicians to study. He teaches the fine points of technique that others don’t understand or teach. I’d highly recommend and have recommended Rob as a guitar teacher.

He even made a good impression on my three year old, who was pretending to be part dragon. I won't go anywhere else for my music needs unless it's for percussion.

Thomas Howard: Took a bass player from an old band there.He immediately fell in love with the place and the shop keepers treated him very well.He ended up playing many high end stringed instruments and went home and called them and placed a deposit on two he liked the most.We went back a week later and he closed the deal and we picked up a vintage Fender Jazz bass and a high end acoustic g.He is very pleased with his purchases. Highly recommend a stop there if you are looking for something other than what the big box stores have hanging on the wall.They don't make these things anymore and you most likely will sell whatever you bought should you decide to ever part with them for your investment or more as they age.

I've had quite a few years of experience playing guitar (mainly covering songs with no theory background or knowledge) but piano was a new concept for me.All i can say is I'm amazed when it comes to the things I have learned while coming here for such a short period of time. I feel like I have gained so much already in terms of music theory, learning how to read notation, jamming with another musician, and confidence with playing/ understanding my instrument.
