GROSSE POINTE MUSIC ACADEMY: what do users think?
Nicole Phillips: Excellent staff. Easy to make appointment for sessions. Clean & warm environment.
Juanita Allen: Piano lessons for my GrandSun, Quince Jr.
Sweet ViolaChick: Great place to work at as a teacher, and wonderful atmosphere for clients of all ages to learn. The owner is awesome, and staff here at the front desk are exceptionally accommodating in every situation. I highly recommend working here and/or getting music lessons!
Vincent Riegler: Friendly people are here
Carrie A.F. Nantais: Our boys starting taking lessons via Zoom in October 2020 due to COVID and we have had the best experience with our teacher, Ms. Haley! She has been patient, engaging and able to give quality instruction. We are likely going to stay with this format for a while because it is so convenient. In addition, the communication with staff at the school has been great -- quick, responsive and helpful. Highly recommend GP Music Academy!
Jeffrey Stine: We are long time customers an could not imagine going anywhere else. Professional, friendly and just an all around excellent environment for music education.
Georgetta Bond: Awesome staff. My daughter LOVES and looks forward to her piano lesson each week.
Ashish Ahlawat: I’d like to share a very pleasant experience with the academy. I go to the location in Grosse Pointe. First, I want to start by saying how talented and what a wonderful teacher and a coach Cheryl is. I believe, that I have improved ten fold ( that is, including my peers) since I’ve started taking lessons with her. Second, Kala, the desk manager Is also exceptionally good at handling every possible situation I’ve dealt with the academy. Last, but not the least, after have been attending the academy for a while, I had run into a little hiccup with some other person at the reception, to which the owner of the academy was not only very understanding, but also very accommodating and generous with handling the situation. I’d like thank all of you for making this a wonderful experience. And please keep up the great work! 👍🏼
Boch Suson: My kids have been taking music lessons for few years now at Grosse Pointe Music Academy. Since then my wife and I have noticed improvements with their musical performance and self confidence. Thanks and Great job!
Kaltrina Lleshaj: I take my girls for Piano lessons and my son for Drum lessons. Their teachers are so nice and patient. Grosse Pointe music Academy is an amazing place to take your children music lessons. Everyone is so nice and helpful with everything. Love this place and I highly recommend it.
Jennifer Perry: Wonderful place and the teachers are kind and patient, highly recommend. My sons look forward to their lessons every week!
Matthew Nickel: This is really comfortable place to learn music. Great people, nice environment, and they have music together for young children. Just love it. Look out for the meters in front during the day though, the city issues tickets a little too easily. I know the music studio has asked the city to be gentle on their clients.
Evyeni Geno Keramaris (Geno Has Something To Say): I absolutely love teaching here. A great environment for both kids and adults. Our desk girl/secretary Kala is absolutely awesome. Our owner Henry is a very kind and good man. I am proud to teach here and highly recommend all of our staff to work with you or your kids. The efficiency with which both Henry and Kala manage to run this place is unprecedented.
Brynn Jezdimir: My family has had a wonderful experience with the hummingbird music together class. My children 2 &1 have a new appreciation for beats and love going to class. I would recommend for all ages!!!
Scott: For all guitar repairs. A big shout out to Dave (Master Luthier at GP Music Academy). Dave has worked on several of my guitars and I have been impressed with the consistent quality of his work. Most recently, I had a guitar that was unplayable. Dave turned it into one of my favorites.
Christina Partalis: My 10-month old daughter, Gabriella, loves her Music Together classes! We listen to the CDs at home and in the car so she's familiar with the music when we're in class. It's amazing how she recognizes the songs and dances to the beat! Thank you, Miss Sarah and Miss Emily! :)
Barika Butler: GPMA, Music Together and Ms Sarah have been WONDERFUL!!!! My daughter LOVES Ms Sarah and her energy! She asks about her all the time and is always excited to go to class. She has been through 5 sessions now and always is eager to return. She has developed amazing rhythm and loves exploring a number of musical instruments. I am confident that Music Together has had a lot to do with this love for music and making music. I hope to continue our relationship with the classes for years to come.
Stephanie Witte: Attending Music Together with my son has been such an amazing experience, and continues to be something we look forward to each semester. We started attending class when he was 8 months old and within weeks his love for music and dance was abundantly clear. I have no doubt in my mind that these classes are cultivating a real passion for music and rhythm in him that may not have developed quite the way it is without Music Together. It has created so many lasting memories for our family, both in class and out, as it has encouraged us to incorporate singing, dancing, playing instruments and general fun into our daily lives with music. I can't recommend this program enough!
Melissa Keagle: We participated in the Big Kid Music Together class and it allowed our daughter to enter the world of music with confidence. Through experiencing concepts such as tempo, rhythm, and improvisation, the class helped prepare her for the structure and skills needed for piano playing. The introduction to music concepts was key, but it also opened the door to the creative output of making music. She now very much enjoys playing piano and making music her own.
Jennifer Baranski: We had my daughter's 7th birthday at GPMA earlier this month and it was a blast!!!! The kids had so much fun, learning rhythm and trying out all the instruments. Toepher and Dave were great instructors and helpful throughout the entire party. My friends and family loved it and said how creative and fun it was. I would highly recommend GPMA as an option for a birthday event. And, piano lessons may be in my daughter's future at GPMA! Great place and very inspiring!
Vanessa Dietderich: My daughter is taking voice lessons through the GPMA with De'Sean. I have absolutely nothing but wonderful things to say about him and the entire staff. After my daughter leaves her lesson she is enthusiastic to practice and improve but more importantly her confidence in herself and her progress is bolstered which is no doubt due to the superior teaching style of her instructor. I have seen first hand the other instructors styles and lessons as well and can with confidence say they are all true professionals with a passion for teaching and the ability to connect with students.

Bayberry Music: what do users think?
tinesha erskine: I had my Viola looked at as well as inquired about other instruments. They were so knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. They explained everything they were doing to fix my Viola as well as some tips and things to look out for. I can tell they are passionate about all string instruments. I would definitely recommend and will be making this my go-to string repair and purchase store.
Yeman Al-Rawi: This is where you want to be for all your music needs… seriously, Andy and his team are some of the best at what they do and they’re genuine, honest people.
Catrina Street: What an amazing company! My son broke the neck on his guitar and you can not even see a mark after the repair. Very professional and friendly staff as well.
jon fricke: Andy was great to work with. Transparent on price, options, and timing. Really nice guy too!
Josh J: Amazing setup, fast turnaround & kind service.
Beo Games: Never went but I love it!
Michelle Hansen: Kkj
Jeff Pursell: Great place to buy or fix guitars or pretty much anything with strings
George M Wilson: Personable, skilled, great selection of supplies. Also, super happy to have a shop close by in Ferndale. 10/10 would recommend- for servicing guitars, and orchestral string instruments.
Patrick Becerra (PBeetheFox): I took my Strat in last week and asked Andy to install some locking tuners. They did a great job putting them on, and the turnaround was quick too. I've heard Andy referred to as "Koontz Junior" and I believe the moniker is well earned.
John Danna: Brought a 96 stratocaster in for a full fret re-work. I was nervous about who to bring it to. Took a chance and Andy up front was a professional. Promised within a week and done in 2 days. They did wonderful work for a reasonable price. I will be going back for future work. Thank you!
Joshua Steiner: Took my guitar in for a busted tuning machine. Ultimately it couldn't be fixed. But the man at the counter made a great attempt and the parts I needed to replace were in stock.
Robert Konieczko: Thank you,Andy. Your workmanship is first rate. Youve given new life to my inexpensive guitar,it now looks and plays like one ten times more expensive.
Keaton Soto-Olson: I would highly recommend this shop for anyone seeking outstanding customer service, a great selection of instruments, or expert repairs. Andy absolutely saved me (and the gig) with a short notice pickup install on my upright. Despite being close to closing time for the shop, Andy did the install and let me test it out on his PA. If you’re a string player of any sort definitely check out this shop, a great place to get a fresh set-up on your instrument or buy your new rig!
Serpent Column: Extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and professional craftsman whose work is on par with Ann Arbor Guitars. There's really nobody comparable in the metro area.
John Taylor: Great place to shop and have your guitar set up at. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were very reasonable and they took very good care of my son when we went there for the first time.
Justin Foust: I took two of my guitars to Andrew at Pursell Lutherie on a whim after hearing they worked on wooden instruments. He did wonderful work! I will always take my instruments to him in the future. He worked on both my Gibson and Mule Resonator in a timely and friendly manner. Would recommend Pursell Lutherie highly!
Joe Vrabel: Andy and team are the best! After having them fix and set up a used strat I picked up, I was sold. I will never take any of my gear to the big-box "center" again. Andy and team will take you through the repairs/adjustments they did, in detail and answer any questions you may have. I now have had them repair & set up three of my guitars and each one came back to me looking amazing and sounding even better. I now go there for lessons too. Overall, a great local business that I am happy to give my business to. Definitely give them a try!
eric kirkwood: I acquired a 1953 Gibson J45 that was found in an attic in royal oak. The guitar had so many cracks and loose bracing I was worried it might be too far gone. Andy completely restored and rescued the guitar while perfectly preserving its patina and charm and it is now the best player I own. I cant put it down. Being a craftsman myself, when I saw Andy's workshop I knew the guitar was in the right hands. This man is a highly skilled artisan. Many thanks to Andy, and to Aaron for the referral. These guys are friendly, accommodating and highly professional.
Jodi B: I’m so excited to hear the same folks are re-opening their store! Wonderful place and super nice people.
Joshua and Zena Neds-Fox: Pursell Lutherie is friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and extremely competent. Set up my D'Angelico after a cold snap shifted the action and frets. My budget was tight and they still did right by me and the instrument. Sounds wonderful. A+, will certainly visit again.

Lucy Whalen: Super friendly, fun and caring teachers/staff. My two children enjoy learning music :)
Zaq Music: begged her to change it, and “offered” to cancel our subscription/membership, upon my mothers refusal.I had no intentions on leaving this disaster of a program, but my mother is a VERY busy woman, and didn’t see his email.Turns out, his reviewing software only publishes the highest reviews, and the low ones can be hand picked by him, and sure enough, I bet none of the bad ones are published (not google reviews
Dr. Catherine McBride: Don't be fooled by the older good reviews, the owner changed in the summer of 2021. Chris, the new owner/manager's tactics and decisions are questionable. We moved to Axis music academy in West Bloomfield and we are having a much better time with better quality gigs and management.
Steven Gonzalez: Working with each individual student's needs and goals is the best way I can think of to handle lesson programs, and that's exactly what I get at School of Rock! The staff are all awesome at the Farmington location, and they actively encourage everyone to keep playing, keep singing, and rock on!
Philip Powell: The staff are what make this place #1
Jennifer Myles: Watching my son have a hobby that he not only enjoys but is truly good at is the most amazing thing to experience. Everything from Caitlin at the front desk (she literally makes every kiddo feel welcome and special in a laid back cool way) to the amazing instructors (Joey is outstanding at being shy kids out of their comfort zone) to the owner who really has a vision. I feel lucky to have such a great music resource in our community!
Janelle Lavaud: My student really appreciates the talent he is finding in his teachers. They are very skilled.

Absolutely one of the best choices we’ve made! He went on to join the performance program and being on stage has been great for him. It’s a welcoming place with super talented and professional instructors and staff. The instructors go out of their way to encourage the students. I’m impressed with the amount and variety of offerings available now through their distance program during the pandemic. We’re super satisfied and hope think everyone should give SOR a try. Thanks to the SOR team for being so wonderful!

Nikk May: Private Studio For Voice / Piano / Guitar: what do users think?
Tom Nelson: Nikk is a top level national teacher, multitalented musician, vocalist, experienced live performer and if that’s not enough he’s also an excellent studio engineer. He’s extremely talented, humble and his resume available on his website speaks for itself. He meets you where you’re at and knows how to help you grow as an artist. Nikk is one of the good ones that you don’t come across very often. His rates are extremely reasonable given the vast amount of knowledge he brings to the table. I highly recommend Nikk!
Kelly Martin: My daughter has been taking classes with Nikk for 2 years. It's been wonderful taking the classes virtually! Nikk is such a wonderful, patient teacher. He's given my daughter so much confidence and skills to help her perform on stage and in the theatre. Thank you Nikk!
Shantheri Shenoy: My son is learning Guitar and my daughter is learning Vocal, Guitar and Songwriting with Mr. Nikk for the last 5 months. I have observed that both of them improved their skills a lot. I also observed that they practice more at home without any reminders, which I attribute to the teaching method of Mr. Nikk and the choice of songs/music used for the teaching. My daughter was intermediate and son was a beginner. Mr. Nikk organized the teaching based on the kid’s level and it helped them learn lot faster.
Divya Nema: Had an amazing experience recording in this studio and definitely recommend it for all skill levels looking to advance their knowledge/skills of recording and performing! I was very impressed with the quality of recording gears, such as the soundproof studio, microphone, headset, and the guidance and suggestions I received for the recording were very helpful.
Girish Shenoy: My daughter is a voice student at NikkMay for the last 5 months. Before joining NikkMay, her vocal range was limited. Now, I have observed a huge change. Mr. Nikk identifies areas of improvement and then focuses on that area with voice exercises and songs to improve the identified gaps. Mr. Nikk also encourages original song writing, giving ideas about music composition. His knowledge in music, method of teaching and ability to grasp the student’s deficiency makes him a great teacher. The opportunity to perform in a professional studio settings is also a great avenue to perform in a formal setting and has helped build confidence.
Jennifer Smith: Our son recently had the chance to work with Nikk while recording a violin recital performance in his studio. We were so impressed with his professional approach and final video presentation! Nikk is patient and kind- very easy to collaborate with and works hard to bring out the best in each performer. Nikk's studio space is well outfitted with high-end performance equipment, and is comfortable for all types of performers. We are very thankful to have the opportunity to work with Nikk and highly recommend both he and Jennifer (Jennifer Berg Violin Studio) for anyone wanting to improve their skills and work in a highly professional musical studio environment.
Partha Pantra: My son Yashwant had a great experience working with Nikk on his violin piece recording. The recording came out very well. Jennifer is an excellent violin teacher!
Amy Fan: My son Victor (7 year old) had great experience recording his violin piece in Nikk’s studio! I can’t wait to share the clip with my families and friends. The studio is full with professional equipments and Nikk is so patient to work with my little boy. Nikk’s partner Jeniffer is also an excellent violin teacher that I highly recommend!!
TA S: My daughter has learned the violin for 4 years and we appreciate the lessons she received. They have helped her improved her skills. The recitals also give her the opportunities to perform and to set a goal for refine her performance.
Henry Herig: I have had the pleasure of working with Nikk for almost a year now and he has helped me tremendously with my singing, but has also helped me become a better musician all around. Nikk has years of extremely valuable experience that will not only help you succeed in learning to sing, but also help improve whatever it is you might be working on as an intermediate or advanced student. If you’re interested in taking your own original music more seriously then I don’t believe you could go anywhere better. Nikk has helped me with songwriting, production, and also has the ability to help you record your music. It is critical that you work with someone who can give you constructive feedback and hold you accountable in a studio environment regularly. Nikk can provide that as well as technical help that I am certain would benefit anyone looking to improve their skill set. I highly recommend this studio!
Nick Gudowski: I've been working with Nikk for about 6 months or so on improving my vocals as well as songwriting. I can say without a doubt that Nikk has helped me overcome some previous obstacles and really helped to strengthen my voice in many ways. In addition, his ear for song writing and support there has been great. I'm not an easy student. lol I've been doing things my way for a long time, and I don't have a lot of spare time to practice as much as I would like to. Nikk has always been patient but also pushed me in the right ways to get the most out of the time I can put into it. I am grateful to have been able to work with him.
Veronica Beers: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI have been studying with Nikk for about six months now and I can not express how much fun it is! He has really helped me progress with my vocal abilities, as well as my confidence. He is incredibly patient and encouraging. For those reasons, and so many more, I look forward to my lesson every week.
alice oswalt: I started taking guitar lessons in 2020 just for fun. I’ve never had any formal musical training prior to it, but I’m making progress and Nikk is a great teacher and he is very patient!
Emily H (beta): Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismI haven’t been with Nikk too long, but so far it’s been a really great and fun experience. I’ve learned a lot about vocal techniques and ways to improve my voice. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a vocal coach!
Kavitha M Kuruba: Nikk really knows how to make guitar & piano classes easy and engaging for kids. My two kids (14 years and 9 years old boys) have been learning from Nikk for past 2 years now. As they make substantial progress with their instruments, they also feel like they have a stake in the class, being able to choose some of their favorite songs. Nikk is friendly, supportive, but will challenge your musicians (very important to us). My kids love music and have connected with their teacher very well. Nikk is super fun, helpful and very professional! He is very approchable and patient and genuinely wants to help. Even during these testing times, he has wonderfully conducted skype sessions and its been a sigh of relief ! Thank you Nikk! For being such an amazing influence!
Pinki Chowdhury: Learning something new is tough but it can be much smooth when a student gets his/her teacher of choice.... when both teacher and student’s mindsets fall on the same string. The same way Shriyan has started his journey of learning guitar playing since 2017 when he was 6 years old with his favorite teacher (as he always says) Nikk May in his Farmington Hills, Michigan studio. Within couple of years Shriyan learned the basics of guitar and progressed so well that he could play few songs by himself. We always thank Nikk for teaching Shriyan so patiently from the first day and also help growing his interest which is very important in a long run. Even we moved out of Michigan 2 years ago, Shriyan couldn’t think anybody else other than his guitar teacher "Nikk" ; hence he kept continue learning from Nikk online till now. As a parent, I’ve noticed their nice understanding, friendly relationships & respect to each other during learning the lesson. In brief, I am highly impressed on Nikk’s knowledge, way of teaching guitar and above all very nice and friendly relationship with students. He is an amazing teacher.-Mom of Shriyan Set
Sujatha Ch: My son has been attending Nikk's guitar lessons for over a year. He is lucky to have Nikk as an instructor, who has made my son enjoy music. His passion for music and his teaching skills are so unique .My son is very happy and comfortable with Nikk and always looking forward for his classes. Iam very happy that we found Nikk and highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn music.
peter i: My kids have been taking piano lessons from Nikk for close to a year now and it has been great! We’ve had numerous piano teachers in the past 8 years but Nikk has been the best. He is enthusiastic about teaching and makes learning piano fun by choosing songs that are both challenging and relatable to my kids. We absolutely recommend Nikk!
Sharon Samuel: Nik has been a great encouragement for my daughter and thank Nik for being a great teacher.
Bobby David: Nikk is a talented musician and even better teacher. My daughter has progressed immensely in her piano playing in her first two years under Nikk. I say this as someone who has played piano myself since age 5 and currently plays each week at church. Whether looking for a teacher for piano, guitar, or voice you won't find a better person to teach your child than Nikk!
Rush: Nikk is very personable, professional and brings humor, love and joy into the experience of music. His approach to music, as well as teaching it, are unique and not to be found anywhere else. I am very fortunate for having found him

The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music®: what do users think?
Ananda Ami: in love.I been going here for almost 2 months and it just feels so familiar and new and exciting every visit. I have improved in my vocals so much thanks to my teacher Sherry! she's so enthusiastic, kind, passionate, and educated on her crafts. I am someone with HUGE anxiety but I am telling you coming here you will not feel that sense. I've already improved so much it's honestly scary. Sad that it's once a week and 30 minute sessions but that's totally acceptable and appropriate but it's honestly so dope you'd wanna be here 24/7 cause you learn and have fun at the same time. Covid-19 protocols are in place and safe staff are vaccinated and wear masks. While singing with Sherry we both maintain distance as much as possible and wear clear face shields they have plenty provided as well due to being able to see vocal technique and to hear clearly) so that is not a worry. Not to mention it is a clean space and is affordable for families. I love it here3
Ed Hopkins: This state-of-the-art facility is efficiently and professionally run and maintained, and all current health and safety guidelines are well in place and practiced. It's a work space that any artist and technician can walk into with confidence, and know that whatever the goal at hand is, be it lessons or recording sessions, the outcome is bound to be successful.
Donnie Kellerman: I've been a local on & off gigging musician for 35 yrs & didn't know this place ever existed!! I'm glad it's here!!!
Shane Barry: If you're thinking about getting into music, DSRP rocks. The staff are super kind and willing to work with any level of musician. I had never held a guitar prior to my first class and they make approaching music a lot less intimidating than I thought it would be.Ray is my guitar teacher and I would highly recommend him. He has given me insight into music theory, but made the topic manageable for me with my available time to play. Highly recommend DSRP is you're looking to get into music.
Adam Bowden: Best place in town for rehearsal space! Their studio is top notch!
Mirror Image: We love the DSRP!!! My boys have excelled so much since they began taking lessons and joined a band 3 years ago. We drive an hour each week from Grosse Ile and it is definitely worth it!
Anthony Lupone: DSRP is the musical ‘glue’ of Royal Oak! Both my kids have been taking lessons for years with Julie and Steve and both are awesome. They have a knack for sneaky teaching, making the kids better while they don’t even know it! When my son came home and asked to listen to and play Rolling Stones tunes, I knew we were at the right palace. Thanks DSRP for all the cool stuff you do!
Megan Mccarthy: My son has been going to the Detroit School of Rock and Pop since he was 7 years old. He is now a senior in high school and an incredible musician and singer as a result of the amazing jobsHis teachers and mentors did at DSRP.His band has played all over the city and he’s experienced live broadcasts and wonderful events full of interesting people. The support he received through this program not only helped him grow artistically, but as a person as well. Shout out to Julie, Rocco, Jason, and Sherry for helping to guide Cole in his musical career. He has loved every minute of it and we have too.God bless this awesome school!!!
Mike Glaza: Absolutely the best around! Jason, Sherry, Mike, and all the mentors at DSRP are fantastic. Our son started with their Summer Rocks! summer camp in 8th grade and continued with lessons until graduating from High School. The time and attention that he received from DSRP is invaluable, and Jason even helped us apply for aid from the Live The Music Foundation to assist us in keeping his lessons going when we couldn't afford it on our own. Today, he is pursuing a career as a professional musician and has many opportunities open to him thanks in large part to the training, mentoring, and connections he received at DSRP.I can't say enough good things about them. Thank you Jason, Sherry, Mike and everyone at DSRP! You all rock!
Mikey Kimball: I have personally played gigs with many teenagers who came out of this program and they play like professionals, with top-notch proficiency and excellent attitudes! I recommend this place more than any other in the Metro Detroit area!

I’d highly recommend and have recommended Rob as a guitar teacher.

Jacob Bayer: Unique selection, great staff and best guitar repairs in town!
Steve Gilbert: I've been buying, selling and having my guitars repaired at The Berkley Music Company for more years than I can count. It's undoubtedly my favorite local guitar shop.
Brandi Nguyen: Dave was an absolute delight to do business with. As a beginner, I felt entirely sure I bought all the right equipment to do my first open mic night. He even made a good impression on my three year old, who was pretending to be part dragon. I won't go anywhere else for my music needs unless it's for percussion.
Thomas Howard: Took a bass player from an old band there. He immediately fell in love with the place and the shop keepers treated him very well.He ended up playing many high end stringed instruments and went home and called them and placed a deposit on two he liked the most.We went back a week later and he closed the deal and we picked up a vintage Fender Jazz bass and a high end acoustic g.He is very pleased with his purchases. Highly recommend a stop there if you are looking for something other than what the big box stores have hanging on the wall. They don't make these things anymore and you most likely will sell whatever you bought should you decide to ever part with them for your investment or more as they age.
Joe Mitchell: The quintessential local guitar shop. Interesting selection of instruments and friendly folks, staff and customers alike. Worth a visit!
Patrick Swayze: Best in the area! Friendly and knowledgeable!

Patrick Welsh: Best shop for guitars, amps, repairs, lessons. Period. Dana, Mark (best luthier I’ve ever met), my teacher Erik - these guys are decades-deep with experience, skill, and passion. This is the only shop serious guitarists use in this part of the world.

Kerry Davis: I have taking music lessons and now I have my grandchildren, taking lessons , and they absolutely love it and there having a lot of fun
Mark Mio: I've been going to Pete at the Conservatory for years to learn guitar and singing and nothing but good to say. They made me feel comfortable and always encouraging. Highly recommended .
Nikola Zjalic: I took vocal lessons at the conservatory for about a year+ and it was a great experience! Learned a ton there that has stuck with me and helped me as an artist
P A T T ANGELINI: The Canadian Conservatory is a musical powerhouse for anyone looking to learn or refine music! The warm, welcoming atmosphere and amazing teachers make this a Windsor staple. What differentiates The Canadian Conservatory from the rest is the musical curriculum Pete Palazzolo has designed. A curriculum that makes learning music fun and not overwhelming.Pete Palazzolo has been not only been an outstanding teacher, but an inspiration for all musical endeavours and a great mentor.I have been going here since 2007 and have learnt guitar ( electric/ classical/ jazz) , music theory, and vocals.I highly recommend The Canadian Conservatory to all looking to start music the right way.- Patt Angelini
Randy Hill: If you want to learn music..you may as well learn from the best..Pete offers this and much more in a relaxed..fun and professional environment.
Doug Barnett: Pete Palazzolo is the best guitar player and teacher in the province because of him my life has meaning. Highly recommend the canadian conservatory
Tom McWilliams: I have been taking Vocal lessons going on two years now and have recently switched to Piano lessons. I can't say enough about the Conservatory, I have learned to sing and are now doing my own Solo show. The instruction is professional, very deep knowledge and personal. Highly recommend if you want to learn or advance your discipline.
Andrew Walker: Professional music education from trained, friendly and talented musicians/teachers. Front staff is always pleasant. While I've primarily taken guitar lessons with Pete as an adult student, I would highly recommend him, the Conservatory and their Power Punch lessons for any age.
Nicole Vanden Enden: My Daughter has been taking vocal lessons for the past 2 years at the conservatory, she has excelled so much more thanks to the training and coaching of the team. The staff are committed to being on the musical journey with you and cheer you on and coach you each step on the way.
Adam Butcher: I would highly recommend to anyone who has an interest and or a passion for music. The Canadian Conservatory of Music has done so much for me and my music career thus far. I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing without their help. I've worked with Pete for many years and I don't think I've met anyone who is more dedicated and passionate about helping someone succeed and be the best they can be. A well earned 5 Stars.
Mike “ZALEW-STUDIO'S”: For the past 7 years, I have been actively attending the Canadian Conservatory of Music. I have taken vocal, piano, guitar and even accordion lessons. Thanks to my music teacher, Pete Palazzolo, I am currently excelling in my studies of music at the University of Windsor. I recommend this Conservatory for the various opportunities they provide for their students and their level of professionalism.
Chris Hole: My son Timothy started at the Canadian Conservatory of music when he was 6. After a year of guitar he started vocal lessons as well. The Canadian Conservatory of Music is a great environment for people of all ages to start to learn music and develop their talents. They also have extremely motivated and hard working teachers. They offer many opportunities for showcasing your talents and pieces that you've worked on in classes. My son Timothy is still taking lessons weekly and is involved in a band formed at the Canadian conservatory of music. He is currently in the W.C.C.A program at Walkerville Collegiate Institute. He continues to be challenged with recording, writing and performing. If you're thinking of getting yourself or you're children involved in music, there's no better place to go then to the Canadian Conservatory of Music.
Aron Pinard: I've been going to the Canadian Conservatory of Music now for roughly 9 months taking both guitar and piano. I've had quite a few years of experience playing guitar (mainly covering songs with no theory background or knowledge) but piano was a new concept for me.All i can say is I'm amazed when it comes to the things I have learned while coming here for such a short period of time. I feel like I have gained so much already in terms of music theory, learning how to read notation, jamming with another musician, and confidence with playing/ understanding my instrument. Pete and his team are amazing when it comes to taking concepts that are confusing and presenting it in such an easy/ understandable way that any age will benefit from.I also have to comment on how everyone working at the conservatory are kind and welcoming people. It makes going to the conservatory enjoyable and feels like I'm going there to meet up with some friends to jam and catch up. I guarantee you that you'll be as excited as I am to go the Canadian Conservatory Of Music every week knowing that you will have an enjoyable time going and in the process, becoming the musician you've always wanted to be.
Michael Dorman: I've been sending my son here for two years and could not be happier. My son loves his lessons with his teacher. He is taking piano, guitar and voice lessons. He is also part of the band program. He now sings and performs in front of crowds with confidence, all thanks to the Canadian Conservatory of Music.
Scott and Shannon Coghill: My children have been with the Canadian Conservatory of Music for 6 years and have shown significant improvement since starting there. The lessons are enjoyable and the teachers are highly qualified. The Conservatory has given them many opportunities to perform in front of various audiences. The lessons have prepared them for post- secondary education in music.
lorraine jewell: My son has been taking music lessons at the Canadian Conservatory of Music for about 4 years. Offering a wide range of skill building opportunities, he has been able to gain experience with guitar, keyboards, vocals, song writing and recording, performing within a band, and performing in front of a true audience. The knowledge, expertise, and encouragement of the instructors at the Conservatory is superior and has helped my son to build on his learning and musical passion continuously over the years. We have had nothing but great experiences here!
Colin Beniston: Picked up a guitar to learn to play when I was 62. I have been playing for 5 years now but only 1 1/2 years lessons from Pete. I wish I had found him earlier. Pete is not only is a great musician, but more importantly for me he knows how to teach. Look forward to my lesson each week!
John-Paul Bonadonna: When it was time for my kids to be enrolled in music lessons, it was truly a no-brainer, as I was fortunate enough to have also learned from the best some 25 years ago!The Canadian Conservatory of Music continues to offer what it did then: professional instructors, a broad cirriculum that adapts to your musical goals, and an environment that promotes learning and musical opportunities. The progress my children have made in piano, guitar and drums through the efforts of a variety of instructors at the Conservatory, is nothing short of amazing. And with just the right amount of traditional (classical) instruction merged with modern (pop) styles, kids stay motivated because before long, they are playing music they like! The Power Punch Music workbooks for vocal, guitar, and the grade progression plan is aimed at turning students into capable, performing musicians, and quickly! To that end, the student bands provide an incredible opportunity for similarly skilled students to get together and actually play as a band, which serves as a huge motivator toward their weekly lessons. The bi-annual concerts also do a great job of preparing students for performing. If you want to find the best possible musical instruction for you or your child, you've found the right place - The Canadian Conservatory of Music.
Stephen O'Connor: Very talented teachers, and great learning environment. I am taking vocal lessons, and feel like I have improved a lot, and would recommend anyone interested in learning guitar, piano, vocal, drums, etc give the conservatory a chance!
