T V Lounge: what do users think?
Deana “Dee”: First time over Memorial Day weekend. Ended the night here twice, had a really great time on Saturday night. But man, I’m tempted to almost give 2 stars. The older black guy who ran the door on Tuesday morning (5am) had the EGO the size of Jupiter. So rude and arrogant 0 reason. Should be spreading kindness. I watched him be hyper rude to an older man, just giving him grief for pettiness, all while that man maintained calm and positivity. Then a group of 5 individuals cut directly in front of my small group. Tried to mention it and he told me “ don’t tell me how to do my job, you must not want to come in” … idk what was in his cup, maybe a cup of attitude juice. I know everyone has been up and awake and working, but geez did not have to be so hostile. Several people in the line were turned off by his behavior, but obviously said nothing else because we just wanted to continue with our party.
John Litvinenko: Run by thugs with an inflated ego. No respect for the patron.Sad because it could have been great.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Nikki Marie: Dirty, grimy
Jack: Love this place
W. C.: Definitely had a decent time here when I was here last
Ahmed Badr: Great musicAll season
Sam I Am: It's a very cool venue with great music but I give it a 4/5 because the drinks are way too expensive and the bartenders are way too slow at getting them out to you! I understand they get busy but it's pretty ridiculous honestly.
O' Dags: Edit: I found a review on Yelp where this same exact situation happened to another person. They said I'd you forget who your bartender is they will keep your card. My bartender forgot he was my bartender! What a joke. The Yelp review also stated that security attacked these people physically that were just trying to get their card back . Sad. The music is good but I won't tolerate this type of low class disrespect from anyone.I gave the bartender my card to open a tab. Later, I tried to close the tab and he told me he lost my card. I told him multiple times it was in the other register and he didn't listen. He told me the other bar tender had it. She did not. He lied and said he already closed me out. I told him, no he did not, that i never signed anything! After making me go through this song and dance, wondering where my card was for at least 30 minutes HE FINALLY LOOKED IN THE DRAWER I TOLD HIM 3 TIMES TO LOOK INTO and found my card. they refused to offer me any discount for the bs i had to deal with. I will never come back here.. I would appreciate someone in management reaching out about this matter
Tracey Spencer: Always a great experience w Triandos Ginn...
Eric Jackson: The last of the Detroit original party spots. A part of the fabric and community of old Detwa'
Evan Malinowski: Overpriced cover, bad setup inside, terrible drinks.
FalJPromotionsEnt: My favorite place for day party music and good vibes only! Only the mature will enjoy like me!
Darryl Swint: Wonderful!
Kimberly Hudson (Kimm H.): Great upgrades! Kelly was great! #blaaqgold
Escada Gordon: TV Lounge is always a good move!- Escada Gordon
Derek Williamson: HOUSE OF E FUNK PARTY FOREVER AND EVER. seriously one of my favourite venues in the city.
Realtalk 4eva: I went to this bar the Thursday before New Years of 2022 and gotta say, music was good and the DJ's - I think were all women! Shout out to this place for keepin my sister's in business and for the music on point. I had a black bartender who was super nice and on point, and then we had a bartender, white girl who had an attitude, and was slammin those drinks down to you on the other side of the entrance. It was cold, but I bet when the weather gets better all areas of the bar will be open. They had no cover charge, music was on point, they also had finger food at the front door, maybe because of holiday, but with no cover, it was lit! The only draw back for me was the drive because I live in A2. I found most of the staff, including Security to be friendly. I have only been here once and this was it!
Derek Reynolds Jr: Place is awesome!
Al Young: Excellent music
Stephen Macklin: Favorite
Isabel Chirase Walch: Came from out of town ready to party (read: spend money) and were told $50 pp cover. Unreal. Poor strategy to get newcomers in.

Thrilled to have been invited and share this hidden gem with others. Also what impressed me were the artifacts that are here. Katia Wright: Awesome space for DJs and music lovers alike. Every night is different and full of musical greatness. They also sell records!
Leonardo D.: Súper chill bar/wine bar that is also a record store. The place has only a few seats but it feels right just as is. Cool for a night cap, or a quick drink pre dinner.
Chuck Lee: Love this place!!
Abby Yeary: great music, great drinks, great records, great people
Michael K: Chill vibes
Marcus Mosley: Favorite place to sit and enjoy great music I recommend it
Jon English: Chill place to have beer and hear tunes after work.
Michael Landesman: Amazing amazing place! Great records and wine!
Mike Steele: Vibes!
Keith P: Nice atmosphere friendly bartenders good music. Small and cozy. Comfortable
Kirsten: Unique place downtown to get a drink. Their wine selection is slightly limited for glasses but the atmosphere is top notch. They do have a decent bottle selection. Really cool atmosphere. I would equate it to going to your best friends house in high school to hang out. It would be my first pick for a place to go downtown to spend the night out...
Phillip Hawley (Mr Demented): Very cool spot with more sound then they need (a good thing)
Freudian Slip: Theres absolutely nothing wrong with the bar. It seems like a really nice bar.If you like collecting records on the other hand… i hope you like the two rows of bins. Walmart has a better selection. Go to Peoples Records. At least they HAVE an inventory.
Michael J. Fowler: the best kind of "hole in the wall" dive bar. unpretentious, great selection of classic records on vinyl good drinks.
Kendra Davenport: Definitely the spot for Thursday night.
Peter Oleksiak: A hidden gem in Detroit! Great staff and the coolest vibe.
Daniel Hendel: Great little venue and record store in Downtown Detroit!
Kate Rendi: We have been waiting for Paramita Sound to return and are blown away by the record shop/wine bar. Absolutely love the vibe and energy, can't beat the location. Such a hidden gem but I anticipate not for much longer!
N S: Great vibes and Andre’s curated recommendations of records are always solid
Joshua Snowden: Paramita Sound has become an institution of hip-hop culture in the city of Detroit.
D S: Music and Motown are synonyms with Detroit. In about 10/15yrs you’ll also include Paramita Sound In that prestigious company. The innovative idea that went into a space like that can only be rewarded by the people that value the city. This space and the people that own it are every part of Detroit as are the skyline you see from the freeway when approaching. The company, individuals, and atmosphere at Paramita Sound unmatched. Do yourself a favor and stop in for the flavor. It’s everything you need!

Pamela Blackwell-Nwonye: Says they are open today from 12 noon. I am here. They are not.
Derrick Armstrong: I was happy to find a music store in the area. I was looking for music from the 70's as a gift for an elderly neighbor. I bought three CD's. My neighbor was so happy.
DaveUnderground: Record store with very rare stuff!!regards from germany to Detroit Techno City
Reggie Dokes: When I am in town, this is one of the first places I go to buy vinyl. The owner Cliff I have known since I was a teenager. Used to be called Buy Rite Music. Support small businesses in Detroit that offer great product and awesome customer service.
Lesley Riley: Great place friendly staff lots of records
Ingramar Miller: I actually love it! The cat that runs it is the coolest!
Tanika Lynch: Nice older man there but the shop is out dated and the prices r way to high.

The Fillmore Detroit: what do users think?
Shanice Wright: Always have great shows
Cathy L: Visited this venue to see Harry Mack - woot, woot! The venue is beautiful, and ranks high in the design and architecture of venues I have visited. The bathrooms are clean. The staff is friendly. It is easy to get to and parking can be found easily. There are many food options in close proximity, so it is easy to park and walk for an evening out.
Charlene Hardon: The Fillmore Detroit is such a beautiful venue with great vibes. Ella Mai was AMAZING! I'm so happy I was able to experience her live in concert after all of these years
Sarah Springer: Music sounded good, bar staff were super nice.Paid for general admission tickets, it costs $20 if you want to sit down in a seat. Was not told vapes were not allowed and was yelled at by staff for using one when no one was aware.$5 for a water, $10 for mixed drink, $10 for a shot.
Camiyah Blackmon: The staff there are A1! Helped us change our seats to really good ones and were very kind.
Sarah Webster: Thank you Ryan.
Supa Emcee: Best place on the Planet!!!
Alexis Bayne: Not safe. It was packed and I felt like I was going to pass out and there is nowhere to sit down. It costs $80 to sit at a table. Unreal
Martin Gonyeau: The lines for drinks can be the most frustrating at other venues, but I had the best experience at the Lil Wayne concert!! I lucked out and ended up in a line that was super quick all night! I believe her name was Morgan. Great staff, and I love coming to shows here!
Michael Jennings: Old venue, but a classic. Sound is always on point, and has great ease of access. There is also a lot of parking very close by, and within walking distance of several restaurants
Squirrel 2020: This was my first time in Detroit and the Fillmore was AWESOME!!Really cool and interesting structure, they had a bar up from the main stage, and an outside smoking area for intermission and whatnot. Also the bathrooms were big, and quite clean. There was nothing bad about it for me.
Sean Eman: Great place to see a concert
Leif Gullikson: Very nice upscale venue!
Melanie Pinion: Great sound, great staff.
Zach Schoeneman: It's a nice place in terms of looks and access, but it was extremely humid despite no rain the day prior when I attended and it seriously aggravated my allergies. I enjoyed the concert I attended, but it was extremely hard to get full enjoyment when the environment was bothering me so much. Balcony seat rows are too close together, I essentially had to sit spread eagle the entire time because there's not enough room to put my legs between my seat and the seat in front of me. Parking and everything was good, just the humidty/mustiness and the lack of space between rows was frustrating.
Ryan Miller: Awesome venue! Super nice and the acoustics sounded great!
Carbon Molecules: The venue is nice. The staff was great. The show was great. However, Charging people $5 for a water is absolutely ridiculous. Not only that I wasn’t allowed to buy a cup of water, it had to be “Liquid Death” in a can. Which on its own is a over charged can of water. I would be fine with with the option of that and a cup of water. You have tons of options for alcohol and pop. I don’t drink. I want some water to stay hydrated so I don’t pass out in your venue, and I don’t want to pay $5 per water to prevent that. I tried to bring a single Un-opened water inside with me when I got there, and was told to throw it out at the gate. It’s also super inconvenient to be a cashless venue. Came in with $20 and never spent it because I wasn’t allowed to. Thanks for the show, I’ll be skipping this venue in the future.
Donny Aird: Rachel is an amazing bartender. She keeps the line moving and is always hustling.
Joe Trompen: Beautiful venue, I've been here a few times and always enjoyed it
Lonna Riley: Very beautiful old venue in a great location.
Sofía Syntaxx: Absolutely fantastic customer service! I really cannot say enough good things about the crew, specifically in regards to accessibility accommodations. Big thanks to Mark, David, and the rest of the team! We enjoyed a really special night.10 out of 10 would recommend this venue for a concert or show: friendly bartenders, efficient merch set-up, bathrooms are very clean, and the overall vibe is immaculate. They do not accept cash at the bar, plan accordingly.

El Club: what do users think?
Ever Eschenweck: So dang hot in here, vibes cool though
Chloe Weaver: Great acoustics and great music
Joel Watson: I like this venue alot...small, but the place is cool, the drinks are reasonable, and the sound is fair, given the size
Gabe Jackson: Sound was good for Roc Marciano, who is the pinnacle of live hip hop. Sounded better live, which is crazy to say
Erica Kalmerton: Great little club. Hard to see as the area where they set up the band can't fit all the people in it. But they do have tvs around broadcasting the performance which helps. Nice outdoor area. Typical club prices for drinks
Ej Dowling: Great venue. Nice vibe. Lack of parking is not terrible due to street parking. Drinks a bit pricey but the orange green tea was delicious. Sold out show meant we couldn't even get into the room. But at least we could semi see from the bar. Outdoor area is nice.
Randy Gray: Great place to see a show. Small and intimate. Sounds great. Everything about this place is cool
1-4 Nitzo: Dope Spot
julie Hines: What a great space!!
John Trummer: This place is dope. My SO's fav band (Weval) had this place on its new album tour...Great vibe, perfectly designed for small concerts.Friendly and fast staff. Keep doing what you're dojng!
Elise Bancroft: Ive been here 2 times. Cool venu! Always way oversold and packed. Makes it hard to enjoy yourself when you can't move your arms 😂 Taco truck across the street is delicious and the bakery next door is amazing! Worth stopping before any show
Joshua Summerlin: Awesome place, will definitely return!
Clara Couvillon: Saw War & Treaty here with William Prince opening the show and it was awesome. Small space but the intimate show was beautiful. War & Treaty brought down the house. Would definitely come back to see a show.
kelly mcdermott: This is a great venue to see a show. I love the character, the bar, and the ceiling is amazing. Totally love that they have an outdoor area too. We saw War & Treaty ... the whole vibe was perfect the whole night. Very mixed crowd of people too.
Leslie Aretakis: Love the venue! I like a more intimate style while listening to indie artists. 10 outta 10, would recommend!
Jonah Roznowski: Over sold shows, unsafe with how oversold their shows are. Avoid going here
Mikal West: Cool smaller music venue.Drink prices pretty average, selection was good. For a sold out show, drink lines were reasonable if you picked your moments. Minimal wait for mens room, looked like a decent line for the ladies room for much of the night.Large outdoor area for smoking or getting some fresh air.Sound is great if you are in the main room, but it was uncomfortably packed for a sold out show. Even if you get a decent spot, it's a huge hassle getting in and out through the crowd to piss or get a drink. From the bar area you can hear the music, yet with poor sound quality and see a grainy imagine of the artist on flat screens. For a show that isn't over sold the place is great.
Art Brownell: Went to War & Treaty concert. Excellent show! They are getting the attention they deserve. Too bad El Club isn't a little larger on the music side for shows like this.
Kurtis Moore: Oversold showsDangerously packed venueSold out shows and they still sell tickets at the doorMoney hungry at the risk of safety
David Birch: Good venue, don't forget hearing protection as it gets LOUD
Abigail Bolen: Really a smaller venue but the vibes were immaculate and we had a lovely time.

Shannon Gordon: I loved this place! It's often overlooked by Motown Museum with less publicity and all but it is still something to write home about.
A Sabree: Nothing but classics dropped in this building. When you walk in this building, you feel the ghosts of Motown and a lil Helluva enter your soul. Seriously, 10 minutes after walking in, I was singing like Marvin Gaye and rapping like Boldy James. S/o to Uprep, Ernest Jones, and free parking. #WolfofWoodwardCertified

Domenic Pace: I am invited to provide equipment for a recording session in the place where George Clinton laid down the funk. I am on cloud nine.
Mark A. Harley: My friend and I travelled from England to Detroit in May this year and besides the Motown Museum we wanted to visit United Sound.I rang from my hotel and explained we were only in town for 7 days and the man on the phone said e would have to phone around for a guide and if he hadn't got back to me on that day he would be back in the office the following morning from 10:00. By the following afternoon we had still not heard anything and each time I rang it went straight to voicemail. I left messages due to the lack of time we had but nobody returned my calls. On the Wednesday we made our way to the Studios (we were leaving on Thursday) and it had the shutters down and was all locked up. We hung around for an hour but nobody turned up.On my return to England I sent a message on the Facebook page but no-one had the decency to reply, so to say we were disappointed is an understatement and I have had to put 1 star because it will not let me post with none.

Third Man Records: what do users think?
Devon Clark: Had to come here for our first trip to Detroit. Such a cool spot. Could have spent forever just browsing around. Grabbed a few records and a sweater, loved it here! So cool to see the record pressing in the back, watching through the windows, great layout, great product, great staff. Will definitely come back and make that 4 hour drive just to visit again.
D M: What a very cool place , super friendly staff. A must see for vinyl fans . This will be a Regular weekend spot . Love it !
Collin Wheeler: A must do for all music enthusiasts. Especially if you’re a fan of Jack White. Now that pressing plant tours are back on, highly recommend checking that out. Staff is super friendly and more than happy to give recommendations or help you out. You can see the pressing plant from the sales floor, which is really cool. Plus they have some of The White Stripes era touring gear that you can use. Love coming here
Jen Chesney: Called ahead and said closes at 6pm arrived at 4:55pm and was told they were closing and we had to leave. We are not local and drove there just for this business ,so we found this frustrating and rude as well.
Cesar Ramiro Delgado González: Nice store, excellents records and more
Rob Nixon: Wow. First of all… Salem (I hope I’m spelling it right) and the rest of the staff were amazing and friendly. Plus gave us some great advice about Detroit. I cannot say enough nice things about you two. Thank you so much. This was on my girls bucket list places to go. It was her birthday gift to go down and see. Yes, she bought half the store. Which leads me to the actual review. If you are a fan of anything Jack… they have something’s you want and things you didn’t know you wanted.Absolutely an amazing place. We went in a Saturday so sadly didn’t get to see the tour. But… definitely making it down again just to see that.Again. Thank you gang. Cheers, sorry she bought all the things.
Darlene (YOWBABY): Straight up, Go here. Especially if you're a Jack White fan because this is his store. What better place to get a fresh, new album than right off the press, literally. Plus, it's obviously less expensive.Lots of trinkets to get here. The store's decor theme is black and yellow. It looks good. As the cashier said it was "On purpose? On point?" Something cool like that she stated, but I can't remember now. Darnit. If you're in the D, not the Big D, stop in and check it out. They'll probably be pressing records when you do. Cool! Cool! Cool!
Mitchell Austin: Cool shop
Donna Fong: I enjoyed visiting third man records. They manufacture records in the back and have many vintage pieces to see up close.
Bonnie Robinson: Fun shop to view/purchase White Stripes merchandise. The shop has a great aesthetic. The best part is watching vinyls being made in the back.
Charles Walker: I was looking forward to visiting Third Man Records during our recent trip to Detroit and it more than lived up to expectations. It's equal parts gallery, museum, factory and store. My only regret was the vinyl plant at the rear of the building wasn't operating the day we were there but not surprising as we visited on a Saturday. Hard to describe the store, it must be seen to really appreciate it. Highly recommended!
Patrick Jones: As someone who appreciates vinyl, I really enjoyed stopping in here. I wasn't interested in the merchandise as much as I was in the pressing plant at the back of the shop. The decor and shop setup is also visually stunning.
Leigh Neal: Meh. Seemed like a jack white self aggrandizing shrine to himself and his clear awesomeness so……Like I don’t need a lighter (or any other gift shop trinket trash) that has “Jack White” printed on the side of it. If you loooooooove jack white and love being pandered to this is your place! Also two stars because it was air conditioned
Jim Coons: Loved it! Great staff! Cool vibes all around!!
Herb Flecther: Salem was super helpful. Cool joint
K R: I really like the design and layout of this store. They are up to date with trends and unique products.
Frank Oscar Weaver: The best part is seeing the vinyls being made on the plant toward the back of the venue/gift shop. The gift shop has some really cool gifts and souvenirs. I only wish the jukebox and other interactive machines were working as most seem broken.
Maus Corderman: Visited from FL. They were closed due to a fire. But we were able to come back and the staff was nice and amazing and apologetic even though it wasn't their fault. The Store is awesome and beautiful
Scott Pena: Cool atmosphere, great collection of in house recorded vinyl albums.
Alex Zurowski: In the immortal words of Coldplay: "It was all yellow."
Alex Bogherie: Great shop and helpful employee. Always fun to go down and see them. Just get the elephant back! Missed riding it around the store!

Steve St. Germain: Love this shop! Last weekend they hooked me up w/ some gear for my record player- including a perfect vintage amplifier and nice set of Bose speakers. Super easy to talk with (they actually respond to customers!). I didn't have time to play w/ the acoustic guitars or all the other fun stuff they have so will definitely be stopping in again.
Matthew Hire: Awesome unique selection of guitars and tube amps, great service, and the guitar tech does a fantastic job!

Bleu Detroit: what do users think?
Angel: Don’t come here on Saturdays!! Rude & disgusting, grimey trolls working at the counter where you pay. Trash workers & club.I was supposed to go to Annex for my birthday but instead we decided to stop by Bleu since we thought it was a Latin club (Fridays) cover was $60, my fiancé put $100 on the counter & the black girl working there yelled “don’t throw shi* at me, hand it to me” in a disgusting tone, I handed the $$ to her to deescalate the situation since I wanted to have a good night, the other girl was snickering in the corner. But I really should’ve taken the $$ & headed to Annex or a strip club instead. Walked in club was dead, drinks were gross. The vibes were horrible & dead. Walked out not even 10 min later. Waste of $$ & time.*I hope those fat, grimey trolls see this, I hope someone puts them in their place. Y’all work at a ghetto, trash club which matches your personalities perfectly. Miserable grimey a** jealous bvtches.

Brows Almighty: I can’t believe I’ve never been to this Gem! They say it’s been here for years . But me and my wife and our buddy’s came downtown out for a drink last weekend we saw the line and we wanted to go in ! Security was tight but not all aggressive like at some clubs downtown. The Drinks were STRONG just like I want them to be. Long story short We didn’t have to pay tons of money to get drunk at this place!!! LOL we will be back for R N B Sundays !!!!
Shay G.: LOVEEEE IT HERE !!!!! Reserved booths for my Birthday AND my graduation party here The vibes are good Waitresses are pretty and give good service. And they have tight security which is a must for me when I go out to clubs. They have a forever customer
Static Streetz: The downfall of this club will definitely be the security at the front door. One security guy consistently creates problems with people and is known to be short tempered, which could create an unsafe environment for the club and people in it or waiting outside.
Danny Bravo: Close down
Bailey Buck: Guess I turned up a lil too hard on Halloween when working this event as a promo girl… The blonde manager had some type of bad intentions set towards me from the moment I introduced myself to her hmmm odd because I was making the business money and 4 hours into the night she decided to randomly kick me out when I was simply with my team out on the floor having a toast. Still to this day can’t understand who this woman thought she was to put her hands on me, extremely unprofessional of her. That’s ok will not ever be returning, just should have worked at Annex as a promo girl instead of this s*** show of a place.
My Reviews: Club Bleu is a nice large club to go party and is located right on Woodward Ave. My main issue is that you cannot tell what event is going inside. I've been to Bleu a few times in the past year and every time I called, I was told its was just a regular bar night, even got the same info from the bouncers. When I arrived and paid a cover, I would walk in and notice it was a private event. The venue should be more up front before making people wait in line and pay $30+ dollar cover only to walk into a private event.
Keshia Allen: Only thing that was great was the music. If I could give a half of star I would.
Corey Mills: There 10 minutes spent 70 on covers and 50 on a beer and three shots. Really lame, the entertainment was some guy just yelling over music. Payin that much, I expected at least some sort of performance. Waste of money
Brooklynn Racquel: The way this club is operated is just way too aggressive. The staff, and especially the security team are extremely combative towards all of their guests. If you stand in the "improper" area of the club they will immediately threaten to kick you out or carry you outside.. It was really hard for me and my friends to let loose and have a great night here. I would not recommend this club at all. Plus it is really small in there.
A Foundational Black American Man: On a friday... White Hispanic night. For me neither bad nor good. Just... neutral.A decent spot catering to the dance crowdOne major bar, less places to sit. Less places to stand.Twenty dollar entrance fee.Relatively a clean modern lookMeh, but perhaps worth a visit again on a different night.Hollered at a few of the women. Expected nothing from them. And I'm not waiting for any of them to call me back either. It's been about two months now. But who's waiting?
Chy L: A bottle girl or whoever she is was walking around with Jell-O shots. I asked if I could have one, and she said “here I’ll give you two!” Bet. I gave her $20 and she gave me $4 back, and I looked at her crazy like did she just scam me. She claims I asked for 2 but you know and I know that I did not ask for 2. If I was sober it would’ve been different.
Escada Gordon: As a young black guy from Detroit and lives in Detroit Issa nice space to vibe especially on Sundays. Shout out to Sysko
JKPRODUCTIONS: Love the way it flows here with many very richly
Elizabeth calles: Exelente
Parker Landis: Ordered a drink never got it. Was forced to pay $26 for it even thought the bar tender never gave it to me and yelled at me to tip him, genuinely one of the worst bars I’ve ever been too. All they try to do is steal ur money and make u feel dumb about it.
María Camila Carvajal Arenas: The most traumatic situation I have ever experienced, I was physically attacked by a security guard, who lifted me by the neck simply for arguing when he touched my body. Nobody did anything, the situation was really sad. The owner being a woman said that she took me out in a kind way, this is even sadder, this never happened.
Eric Martin: I've been there several times and I only had one problem with one of the bar tenders not returning my credit card saying they couldn't find it. Last time I was in there after this they don't take credit cards anymore but only cash and I think that's why. Besides that I love going to this place and get my dance on.
Carlo Chalhoub: Good party vibes
