Michael Christie: Hi, I just called and asked for a fireplace and was told they only do gas logs. So I guess I’ll have to buy a fireplace from someone else. Seems silly to be named fireplace and bbq and then not have the insert needed to perform as a fireplace.
Steve Glauberman: They do good work but they are ridiculously overpriced. They charge a flat rate to fix my gas fireplace (~$365) which had a pilot light problem plus a zone charge (~$65) since I’m in Ann Arbor. While they did tell me this up front, and I agreed, I felt totally taken advantage of when the service person fixed my problem in 5 minutes by tightening a screw all for the low price of $430. I’m going to have to find someone else moving forward.

Axel and Carrie Brodermann: We actually had 3 different quotes for fireplaces and went with American because the gas line installer was incredibly experienced and professional. Unfortunately since we've had the fireplace put in we've had multiple problems. After the allotted 'burn off' time for the logs to omit a smell we were still having major problems (about 2 weeks after running the fireplace 8 hours a day). We got carbon monoxide detectors because I was worried about the constant smell and almost immediately after installing them they went off! The company sent out someone to clean them off and after it was much better (no carbon monoxide detectors going off). Now we are having problems with our remote and although we are on a manual setting the fireplace is going on after I manually set it to off and vice versa! Maybe we have had an incredibly unlucky experience, but its terrifying having carbon monoxide detectors going off and the fireplace switching on after manually shutting it off. Needless to say I don't feel exactly 'safe' with what has been offered by the company.

Tim Twiss: We are thrilled with our new fireplace installed by FireSide Hearth and Home of Royal Oak. Our dated and cracked surround needed to be replaced and we ended up refreshing everything but the mantle. New surround, new hearth tile, new door, new logs, etc. The result is a refreshing, modern look that transformed our living room, yet doesn't seem out of place in our 80-year old home. I highly recommend FireSide Hearth and Home. To set expectations, don't expect it to happen overnight though. From initial visit, design, site measuring, changes, ordering, supply chain, and installation, it was about a 3 month process. This is is not a complaint though, a lot of time was taken to make sure right decisions were made and there were product delays. It was well worth the wait! (Now we just have to wait for these 90 degree Summer days to pass to really enjoy it).

Carson Gwizdz: I could NOT have had a better experience than I did with Anthony at Fireside Hearth! Easy, fast, and enjoyable! Our pilot light was out in our fireplace and we weren't able to relight it ourselves. We began with a phone call where Anthony asked some questions and diagnosed the problem. We jumped on FaceTime where Anthony had a fireplace in his location and completely showed us step by step what we needed to do. Within 5 minutes, we fixed our fireplace! Anthony clearly explained things, had great customer service, and was easy on the eyes ;) Do NOT hesitate to choose FireSide for all of your needs, you won't be disappointed!!!!!!
Shadia Martini: This company is a fraud. Before I ordered the fireplace in December last year, they assured me that it is in stock. I ordered and paid. When it was time for installation, they told me it is not in stock and I need to wait till June-July. On top of lying to me and costing me money framing for that specific fireplace size, they refused to return all my money.
Jonas Halonen: Nice place and pleasant employees - but very pricey. Much better prices at Boulier's! I was quoted $1,450 for a Chimney Liner and installation, and quoted $1,000 for the same thing at Boulier's. Almost 33% more expensive is a little ridiculous.
Justin Nazaroff: The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. Wood burning stove ordered in December and was supposed to be installed in February.It's May, and we still have no functioning stove.They sent out an installer to measure for the hearth pad in January. After missing the originally estimated install date in February, with no communication unless I badgered them, they show up to do the installation early March. They realize they ordered the wrong hearth pad and the installation didn't happen. That's one day off work, with no communication or apology from the salesperson Jaye.Correct size hearth pad takes weeks to arrive.Installers show up April 27th, an hour and a half late. No call, no apology.The installers don't have the correct materials. Installation is halfway finished and they promise to get the correct parts within two days and they'll be back that Friday.Friday rolls around - no call, no show. Apparently the parts were not ordered. Jason, the store manager, promises to get the parts by Monday to finish the installation on Tuesday May 4th.May 4th comes. No call, no show. I am again forced to communicate with them because they refuse to communicate this to me.Parts have still not been shipped.I have a half installed stove. The owner calls me and tells me how he's built a "publicly traded company" and proceeds to tell me nothing is their fault - it's all the fault of their distributors.I would suggest literally any other company aside from Fireside Hearth and Home.

Jon Paul Gorinski: Buyer beware! I had been working with Fireside in Royal Oak since August of 2020 to have a custom insert for my fire place made. After 8 months I still do not have an insert due to Fireside giving me the wrong style and size insert, lying about replacing it, cursing at my wife when trying to resolve and telling me that they would make it right and then going back on their word. The SM Daniel Crank and the Regional Justin Peeples are bad business people. I should have know this was going to be the case when they tried to sell me a discounted door from an order that wasn't right with a previous customer. Now they can add my door to that discount pile as well. They told my wife to have me come up for a refund after waiting 6 months for a correct door, when I showed up they told me they changed their mind and did not refund our money. I had to dispute the charges with our cc company to get my money back and now I have to start all over again with someone else.
Joe C: They did a fireplace insert installation for us at the end of October of 2020. It was a few weeks getting the finishes installed. When we were able to use our new fireplace for the first time over the Christmas holidays, the basement filled with smoke (the fireplace is on the first floor of our house). I have called / gone into the store weekly trying to schedule an appointment for service to come out and investigate the problem. We are at 7 weeks of no return phone calls currently - I will keep trying - do they expect me to go away?

Hope in the front office would immediately get back to us with any questions we had, Joe and Austin did an amazing job tearing out old fireplace and replacing with the beautiful electric linear fireplace, and Chris did an awesome job with the stacked stone wall. All genuinely nice people and would give more than 5 stars if we could.

Had two units installed on a new build, Pac Energy wood burning fireplace in walkout basement also ducted to Living Room upstairs and above it a Montigo see thru gas unit. Dave Parcells: I can't say enough at how pleased I am at the work that was performed to install my Majestic Ruby 30 gas furnace. Joe and his team did an outstanding job while keeping the workspace very clean during the the whole install. The stove arrived two weeks earlier than promised and lucky me, Joe had a cancellation and was able to fit me in on 1/17/23. They worked professionally and efficiently and were out the door by 5 with everything cleaned up. It is working flawlessly with the only glitch getting the intellifire app to work meant turning it off at the breaker a couple of times. Now the app is working and it is wonderful being able to start the fire before I get home and walking into a living room that is nice and warm. I highly recommend Caselli for your fireplace upgrade and the Michigan made Majestic products are quality through and through and look great.

Glenn's Fireplace & Spa: what do users think?
Christine Brackel: Very happy with our experience with Glenn's. We purchased a hot tub here and everything was effortless, from purchase to delivery and setup. I especially liked that everything we would need was just included. We used their electrician, who coordinated with our delivery time so that our hot tub could be set up, connected and filled all at once. No complaints at all!

Kaitlyn Minshall: I am a new owner of an (old) inherited hot tub, and had some suspicions that something wasn't right. Thankfully, Glenn's Fireplace & Spa sent out technician Anthony and he was super helpful! He was able to diagnose the problem right away, and even though we have a tub that is no longer made, he managed to get a new wet end for the second pump, and replace the first pump entirely (glad he did, it was completely rusted through!). Anthony was amazingly knowledgeable and spent time explaining everything in a way that was understandable to me, as I have no clue about the mechanics of hot tubs. Thank you Anthony for the amazing service! If there's ever another problem with our hot tub I will be sure to call again.
E-Square: Happy with the sales but so-so with installation. Installer was recommended by Glenn’s. No permit was pulled with township. Cost was an extra $190 out of pocket for us to get permit with township on our own and with several trips out for contractor to do a pressure test of new gas line and install a key valve shutoff after initial no approval from Twp. Should have been discussed up front so we’ll take part of the blame but we thought this was part of the job. The installer did eventually rectify the issues after some negotiations with the township and all work was approved.

Stephanie Roy: Anthony came out to fix our swim spa. He provided quick turnaround and resolution and fixed out faulty pump. Ordered the parts needed at the initial appointment and got us on the schedule as soon as they came in. After he installed the new pump, he went over a few other issues we were having problems with that other servicers had not known how to fix and he got everything done. He made sure we were completely set and ready to go before he left. Very friendly and experienced. He definitely know his stuff. We would highly recommend Anthony for repairs and service!!! Thank you Anthony!! Glenn's other staff was great too! Will definitely use them again, but Anthony did such a good job, probably won't need to.
