Allemon's Landscape Center: what do users think?
Mister Sabree: Overall, the staff was very helpful and pleasant. However, the owner was arrogant and classless---a real jerk.
Walter Kolodziej: Had product I needed
Melissa Vongpunsawad: Do you live in Detroit and are in need of gardening supplies/plants? Don’t want to drive out to the big box stores? Support local businesses in your community instead! Allemon’s is great for every gardening need you could think of. Mary helped me today and was so kind and patient as I tried to figure out my planter boxes. Despite being a local store, their prices are extremely competitive. They even have a store cat that my daughter loves to find. Every time I walk in, someone comes to assist me within minutes. Can’t say the same for Home Depot and Lowe’s gardening centers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
darcelious simmons: Large selection of gardening item. Very friendly.
Natasha Al-Rafie: I got my Charlie Brown xmas tree here and it is so cute. The staff (all involved) were so nice, and I also was able to pick up some water plates for my plants!
Chris DeRosier: Always great people and service.
Mike Sossi: Great place for all your outdoor stuff
BKin D: Open Sunday but higher price for yards
Joseph Michael Pellerito Jr.: Five generations strong, Catholic family, with great customer service, location, and selection.
unknown user: an allemon worker in a huge truck couldn’t wait five seconds for me on my bike in the narrow streets of grosse pointe and decided to force me into the gutter. what a way to treat members of the community
Chris Harrison: Great selection and helpful staff.
Richard Oldfield: Family owned and operated, always helpful. Good supply of plant material, pots, statues, and water features. Plus they carry a full line of products to care for all your landscape needs.
David Vandenbroucke: I just went to grab a flat of flowers to plant with my 1st graders on the last day of school. They were in shabby shape & more than double the price of the flats I bought elsewhere last month. So I left empty handed & now need to explain to my students. :(
Susana Dean: The staff are amazing. So nice, friendly and eager to help. They had everything I needed. Pots, box woods, dirt, flowers and vines. They made it so easy. I saved so much time with a one stop shop. I will never go anywhere else. You guys Rock!!
Lindsey Scopel: I mistakenly assumed that this garden center would be way out of my price bracket and I am happily mistaken! Got astilbe, spreading juniper, a rosemary topiary, bay leaf tree, and some lavender plants to add to my garden. Love everything!!
Richard Betson: I live in Saint Clair Shores, but when I want quality healthy plants..thos my secret place to go! They've never disapointed me..So I drive a little farther but it's well worth the rewad..Lastly, let me just how nice and helpful everyone is..You won't be sorry driving a few extra miles, not in my 3 years has ever been a dud..
Starpointe Photography: This was my first Visit but it won't be my last. It's a much larger space than what it looks like from the outside. A vast and impressive selection of flowers plants, seeds and seedlings. There were things that I was able to find here, that I was not able to locate at much bigger nurseries. The workers are all friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. And although there was only one check out on the outside that I could see she was fast and knew the pricing of most items.
Leigh Stubblefield: Great service
Drew Day: Good deals on vegetable flats
Tim Berkesch: Great service and products!
Kim Westlake: Beautiful plants, lots of neat garden statues, yard products. The price was good on the barley straw for ponds. Also their plastic garden fencing was lower priced than other stores I've checked. Different statues than I usually see available including this really cool meerkat decoration which I was tempted to buy for the office as a joke (officer workers pop up like meerkats - peering over cubicle walls).

There's a great variety of flowers and plants to chose from along with other things for your garden and even gifts. The Owner is very kind and knowledgeable, I liked the way she helped another customer and myself in choosing the correct hanging baskets for our yards. This place a gem in my neighborhood and is black owned which is a bonus. The prices are great as well. Don't go to the box stores to get your flowers, this place has what you need!

Nat Zorach: Small, but charming little spot offering a variety of plants, starts/seedlings (including decorative plants, flowers, vegetables, and herbs), soil, mulch, and garden accessories.
Caroline Landrum: Depends on the season as to what you find in this lovely little shop owned locally. As well as plants, veggies and flowers, you may just find that outdoor furniture or decoration you have been looking for. Many originals, a few antiques, lots of eclectic notables.
Rob Jones: Seasonal Hours. Closed July-Sept. Check before you make the trip. Prior customer, but just not open when I want them to be.
Chuck Schmidt: All the stuff is very nice the owner is one of the sweetest people that I know and it's moderately priced she'll go out of their way to make a customer happy

Westcroft Gardens & Farm: what do users think?
Katie Siepierski: A hidden historical gem. Established on July 6th, 1776, Westcroft Gardens is nearly 250 years old! The amount of love that has been poured into this land, from the countless plants to the countless weddings and everything in between, it is such a place of beauty and peace. I cannot even count how many times I have been there in my 35 years of life! What I can count though is on Westcroft Gardens to always have whatever I am looking for for my garden! I have so many flowers from there, and many that came from there that my Grandma bought who then clipped some for me to plant in my own yard. Nearly all the flowers on my property come from Westcroft Gardens & Farm.
Tor McN: Westcroft Gardens & Farm team and grounds helped provide a truly unforgettable experience for our wedding! They also hosted my sister and brother-in-laws’ wedding which was equally incredible. My husband and I cannot recommend this gorgeously, historical venue with it’s caring, trusted staff enough! Thank Clayton and team for all your time and effort into making our day one-of-a-kind. -Torey & Derek
Jon Dymond: Beautiful setting the grounds very nice
Jennifer Martin: Excellent plants all around
Laurie Rabakon: Westcroft Gardens and Farm is one of those gems found on Grosse Isle. I have been lucky enough walk around the magnificent gardens, landscaping ,and get to know the history of the farm. I was impressed by the numerous amounts of plants especially the ones you can’t find at a big box store.
Ross Owen: Two days after the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence, announcing the colonies' separation from Great Britain, Westcroft Gardens was officially established on the island of Grosse Ille, July 6th, 1776, making it the oldest farm in Michigan’s history. In addition to being a 250 year-old historical landmark, the gardens at Westcroft are a stunning sight to behold, thanks to the constant care, stewardship, and love of 8th generation original descendants. Erica, Clayton, and tuxedo-wearing feline boss Luna, greeted me with smiles, warmth, and an amazing knowledge of the plants and flowers they raise from seedlings. Their irrepressible passion for the land and its legacy, buoyed my spirits, and for just a few hours, made me feel connected to a time nearly lost two centuries ago. Sure it's super easy for me to buy plants from the local megachain big-box store under the dismal glow of fluorescent lights, but I honestly rather make the 90-minute drive from Lansing to Westcroft Gardens, where I can be transported back to a simpler time when we bought our goods from their ardent creators, and support those who devote their lives to the preservation of our shared history.
Reisa Shanaman: The love, history, and pride that exudes from this place cannot be overstated. Family-owned, community-minded. Immense, incomparable care is given to the grounds, the plants, and the customers who come here. It is a true gem.
Vijay Sekar: Reply to the Owner - Plants collections were not that great compared to a regular store, I would go to a farmers market instead. Agreed it is an historic location but improvements are not fast enough compared to the places/stores around.
Andres Aparicio: Beautiful place, the gardens are amazing and all the people that works there gives the best information about the place and the heritage of the gardens.
Brandon Bunch: Nice little hidden place. Received great help from the staff.
Louis Goniea: Top notch plants, excellent service, and their fertilizing "Greenleaf Compound" produces results that you just can't believe - the stuff is magic!
Steve Ulics: Super nice super cool they even have a bee hive. I guess it's super old from the McComb family that the county gets the name from.
Bill Fields: A local Gem that takes you back in time.
Karen Shelton: Love the plants
Hillary Deleszek: Beautiful place for pictures
Mike Kirouac: An excellent historical garden shop founded on July 6, 1776. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was worth the hour drive to go there. I highly recommend.
Andrew Johnson: Great selection, informative staff, a nice experience!
Adam David: Had a great evening at their haunted hayride. Followed up with treats and drinks
Deserae Ward: The Halloween decorations are awesome and creative. Will bring a smile to the faces if all ages
Jennifer Fitzpatrick: Our family and friends had a great time on the haunted hayride! It was just spooky enough!
Edward DHerde: I love this place and the Green Leaf compound works great

English Gardens: what do users think?
Tazzman 225: They had everything I needed for my garden.
kelli lack: The plants usually look very good but were not quite as nice this year.
Lynn Kowalske: I like the selection. The guarantee on the plants are good but hopefully you won't need it.
Amanda Parker: Great selection
Mawada Mubarak: I really like this store, and it has a really nice selection of plants. I bought a variety of things that were excellent in quality, however, at the store, I noticed that all the tomato plants I wanted to buy had septoria leaf spot and were insanely root bound. I bought them anyways because they were on sale, and an estimate of me untangling the roots and doing what I could to treat the septoria took about 30 minutes. I also bought Brussels sprouts that look really good but are again root-bound. Definitely check for signs on the containers before buying.
myranda Miller: Honestly, this is my favorite plant place for houseplants. Tellys is great too, but their stock is so unreliable imo. This is the best English gardens location too. I can always leave with a plant I have been wanting, or leave with a plant I have to come back for lol
Eileen Fields: Awesome!! Took lots of pictures and bought a Weed Slayer shovel!
Kel Green: Very friendly staff. Pricey but nice products.
Krista: Liked English Gardens as always
Emily Bailey: Healthy looking plants & lots of pot options! Unfortunately with the current winter season there wasn't a huge plant variety.
Millie Burgin: Went in for a Christmas cactus. Found the cactus & the associate that helped me was very informative about the care of the plant. A very nice person to talk to.
Judy Bergeski: Bought a beautiful Frasier Fur tree...40% off. Fresh and symmetrical. This is our third tree from English Gardens and each one has been a winner!
Wholelistic Health & Wellness Center: Georgia H. Manger was just so wonderful and helpful. I love this English Garden location. Georgia took us on a Christmas adventure and was telling my daughter stories and it was magical.Love the team
Theresa Ruddick: So this business gets two stars, ONE star because the lights look really cool and TWO because you did it before Halloween “BUT REALLY!?” You kill the spirit folks*+From your neighborhood spiderman*+
Noor Saba: Awesome place, great selection but over priced 👎It has all kinds of flowers , shrubs and treesVery good and beautiful locationParking on the back sideBut. Their timing is sucksThey close at 6:00 👎👎👎👎
Emily Smith: Beautiful variety!
John Merlino: They have a great selection
Gillian Amritt: Bad customer service & laziness. I don’t understand how you don’t know if a you have the plant if your inventory say’s you do.
KEVIN LEBLANC: Everything high flowers look all dead and dry for high prices
mike mccoy: Everything was great.
Randal Bentley: Lots of plants and helpful staff.

English Gardens: what do users think?
david stocks: Helpful knowledgeable staff.
Kevin Gibbons: The staff was nice. They had what I needed in stock in spite of their website saying otherwise. So that's a big bonus and I got the assistance I needed. First time customer. Will definitely go back!
Britney Daniels: Went in before Mothers Day not the best experience but I did find this cutie. (Venus Flytrap)I was looking for gardening supplies and waited in Gardening for almost 10 mins while the associate helped one customer, ignored me then chatted with someone for 5 plus minutes while me and my toddler stood there.Nice price for our mini Venus flytrap
Ex: Love this shop and the staff. Always friendly and helpful. They even have a friendly cat who chills out here and enjoys being pet.
stephenia brown: Love the plant choices and quality of plants!
Capri: This place is wonderful. You can find the products and plants anywhere, but you can not find such kind, patient and knowledgeable staff! That's why people love English Gardens.
David Squires: Back in the day and I remember when this was an old Frank Nursery before they closed permanently and went out of business.
Ben Totzke: I get all my plants here, all the staff are friendly and helpful! Great place!
Martin Eichorn: Good selection of poinsettias and they were markef-down!
Vivian Sawicki: Always fun to check out English Gardens. I was able to pick up a few citrus trees at their end of the season manager sale and have enjoyed their gardening programs in the past.
Jamie Abbe: Was at the Eastpointe location over the summer, and lets just say I won't be back to this place. While the store was clean & well organized, that's where the buck stops.I bought some plants here over the summer & I specifically needed, & asked, for plants that do well in the sun. I bought $80-100 worth of plants that supposedly were great in full sun. I watered them when needed & took care of them, but they all wilted & died no matter what I did. Although these were clearance plants, if I was told that they fare well in the sun then that shouldn't matter either. Plus, staff at checkout were rude as well. I get it was close to closing time, but my goodness the attitudes were uncalled for. Been meaning to write this review & kept forgetting. Some shopping experiences really stick with a person, as this one did me. Huge turn off.
Monesha Moore: Great customer service skills
msmoenergydet: Love this place! Prices vary but I love Clearance!
GI Na: English Gardens has quality plants and supplies. Better supplies than a Home supply store. Purchasing dirt, mulch, etc is easy. After purchasing, you just drive around and it is loaded into your vehicle. No loading, pushing or waiting for help to your car.
Theresa Urquhart: Everything I wanted and explained to Ralph was executed so perfectly. Bravo! My wedding was the fairy tale I've always dreamed it would be
Bernice Dicken: My bouquet, centerpieces, and bridesmaids bouquets were just so beautiful. Our venue looked perfect. Thank you for making our wedding day unforgettable
Stanley Mahoney: Everything was perfect from the beautiful tall centerpieces, head table backdrop, ceremony decor the list goes on.. The flowers looked better than I ever expected!
Marian Jones: Found exactly what i needed. I will go back for a couple of more items
Maelca Duncan (MAELCA): I love this place you can find all the trees and flowers you dream off
David Byrne: They have a good selection of plants and flowers. Helpful staff. Girl at check out might have been having a bad day but she wasn't really mean. Can be expensive but you most likely will find what you are looking for.
Eric Taylor: First time garden, staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Denise Anthony: The flowers are gorgeous and healthy. The best deal in the area for LARGE Baskets! The staff is wonderful and helpful. I highly recommend them! But hurry there season is short!
Jim Ziemba: I've been going here for years. Got to meet Sarah twice this year for the first time that I can remember. What a wonderful individual & pleasant to talk with. She loves her work & it shows. The hanging baskets are 2nd to none. If not the best. They have excellent quality flowers & vegatables. She loves animals. My dog Bradi always gets her attention & Sarah tries to talk to my 🐕 but Bradi is protective while in my vehicle. Maybe some other time they will be friends. Why I come here also you can park right up to the flowers. Very convenient indeed.Jim Ziemba
Tania Coaltrain: Best hanging baskets around. Staff is extremely knowledgeable.
Lindita Dimov: Best place for potted flowers and flats. Everyone is so nice and i formative the baskets are amazing you won’t find bigger for the price!
Daveleen Choyke: Been going here for over 17 yrs best plants in town never had a bad plant. Would differently would recommend.
Elaine Percival: Totally disappointed, arrived at the company close to their opening hours 8:45am. Waited and waited to my distress. Decided to leave dismayed and perplexed. This would have been my very first time using this company. I was recommended to Rush by a neighbor who is a loyal and longtime customer. I would not recommend Rush to anyone. Manily due to company not being open as scheduled. Shameful to say the least. What company does not open up as posted. Do they not want to sell their products. I'm highly upset. Bad business all the way around.
Val Schork: Sarah really knows her plant's!!They are really friendly and helps you out to your car😎 Been going there for years!!See you next year every one!!! THANKS FOR the beautiful flowers!!! ❤❤❤
F.Camp: I. Love. Their. Baskets. They're huge and grow all summer and the customer service is great.
