Gabby Groce: I was in town for family and wanted to gift my Houston coworkers uniquely Detroit gifts. This was the perfect place to come! They have such a great selection of items to choose from and at such fair prices. I went to a few other stores (Detroit themed shops) and none of them compared. If you are in the market for Detroit or Michigan themed gifts or apparel, stop in! It will definitely be worth your time and $$!

Randy T. Enochs: Nora Detroit is one of my favorite shops in all of Detroit. If you’re ever looking for something amazing to add to your home or want an awesome, unique gift for someone, this is the place! Nora also makes an effort to support local artists and artisans, which I also love. The staff is also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.

Andrew Holly: I ordered a book from their website in September 2020. After about 5 weeks, I hadn't received any update, despite being immediately charged for the purchase. They promptly responded and said the book would be sent out. Since that response from them on October 9th, I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone at the store despite multiple attempts. It's been three months, and my order hasn't been fulfilled, and they have gone radio silent. DO NOT PLACE AN ONLINE ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY.
Katherine O'Neil: What a beautiful neighboor boutique! I wander into Nora while walking down Cass Ave. It is a mix of jewlery and homewares. I found the items to all be stylish some a little modern for my taste but also found some great gift items. The employees were super hepful and helped me find a braclet and earnings that really suited my style.

I want to buy everything in here since everything is so modern and pretty (Check out those mobiles!) but most of it is out of my price range. Don't fret though as there are definitely some pieces scattered around that are more affordable ie. some beautiful glass vases for $28 or pretty Marimekko journals for under $10.Definitely worth a stop in if in the Midtown area. If you're in a shopping mood, go ahead and check out Hugh next door and City Bird, Nest, and Shinola a block away. This is a great shopping area if you're looking to buy some gifts for friends or yourself.

C Lilakos: This store is amazing. There are so many unique pieces to choose from. I love a good gem shop but this is so much more. There is a ton of hand crafted jewelry. You can see them making things on site. They also have a ton of merch that they screen print there. Everything from hats to hoodies can be found in here. It’s definitely not your average shop. I was amazed with the quality. I’ve visited stores all over the US and definitely never came across a spot with such a great selection. I left feeling like there was still so much more I hadn’t looked at. I ended up leaving with gifts for my whole family. I’ll definitely be shopping on their Etsy in the upcoming months.

Vibes With The Tribes Music Festival: Please stop selling white California sage, I don’t care that it’s “blessed by a Native” that is the cringiest thing possible to appease white people. The plant is endangered. No one should be selling it. It is getting illegally poached. Time to move on to a less extractive and appropriative form of smudging. Also crystals and rocks are usually unethically sourced from child labor in African crystal mines. So think twice before buying crystal. I suggest looking for some rocks outside
