Host Renegade: My friends and I stayed in this hotel for the movement festival and the rooms were very clean beds and sheets were very clean, and we even used the Valletta service and our car was in the best of hands. The staff was super friendly and very helpful and nice. J A: Everything was broken from the internet to the bed. There was no safe in the room. The Gym the elliptical , treadmill and peloton were all broken so a complete waist of time. We were there for the AIST convention and the room was over $500.00 a night. We will never be back. The staff was very friendly is the only thing nice I have to say about this hotel. Oh yeah and dont bother with the breakfast at this place total waist.
Michael Sullivan: Let me start by staying the location is very good. If you are coming to visit Detroit for any sporting events, then this hotel is the perfect spot. The room I had was a nice size for 2 ppl, nothing special but it's comfortable enough. For shopping and visiting the downtown area everything is walking distance. So for the most part you will not need to drive anywhere. So I would say if you are looking for a affordable place just to lay your head, and want to see a football game or baseball game. This is the spot.

Jacqueline Gray: Overall or stay was nice. Room was pretty clean, bed was nice, and the staff were excellent and the hotel is literally in waking distance to everything downtown. My only issue is that I don't feel like it was worth the price. The room is over $229.00 dollars, there's a $45.00 valet parking charge ( you can only park valet), $16.00 per person to eat breakfast, And they're a $85.00 holding fee that they return when you leave if you didn't do anything to ruin the room. So make sure you have the money to cover EVERYTHING including whatever you plan to do while here in Detroit. The place is a bit outdated and the restaurant on the property is closed. Yes it is in the pictures. But it is not open for business. So you'll have to eat elsewhere! I just don't feel that the hotel is worth the cost.Rooms: We were in the 10t h floor. So we had great view of the city. There is an motor cycle club coffee by who were pretty noisy. But it wasn't too bad.Nearby activities: Everything to near this bar if you don't mind walking.Walkability: Music Hall/jazz center is right next door. Greek center about 6 min walk. Also the Hotel casino within walking distance. There are restaurants all around that you can walk to.Food & drinks: There's a lot of places to eat and drink that are literally in waking distance. That's a major plus!!

Jared Figueroa: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, but there are a few areas that could use improvement. The overall experience was positive; however, I found the hotel's policy of requiring a 24-hour notice for room cleaning to be quite inconvenient. It would be more accommodating if they could provide more flexibility in this regard.Another aspect that could be enhanced is the lack of automatic door opening at the main entrance. As a guest who frequently carries luggage, it can be challenging to maneuver through the doors without assistance. Installing automatic doors would greatly improve the convenience and accessibility for guests.Despite these minor inconveniences, everything else about the hotel was good. The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall ambiance was pleasant. I would certainly consider staying here again, with the hope that these improvements are made to enhance the guest experience.

Cindy Noufal: The hotel rooms were clean and spacious. Four of us were very comfortable in a corner suite. It was nice and quiet. Parking was $29 and easy to scan in and out of the lot. William Cook: This place needs better management. Check in I hadcuse electronic key on my phone as the line to check- in. Then did not work my last morning before check out. Room needs better housekeeping. Linens need replacing as some were stained and sheets were also stained. Escalator prices on different nights. I bought a milk in pantry and was charged different prices different nights. And when did Doubletree start charging for a cookie to go with my milk $3.00.As I had stood in line others got their cookies many two. I didn't stand in line too long as I went and used electronic key on my phone. This was the least friendly front desk I have ever met. It was like everything was an imposition everytime I approached the desk.

The Front Desk staff that was there the day I was eva and an African American lady with black glasses, and a African American bald headed man. They all were bad . Including housekeeping, requested my room to be cleaned was told it was gonna be cleaned and me and my husband stayed downstairs in the lobby from 10 am to 2 . Went back to the room it had not been cleaned. Spoke to eva and the other lady just requested a set of towels and glasses she never came. The gentleman never came with the glasses or linens. My husband had to go get linens and glasses. Then we checked out and got triple charged. So if you need housekeeping request the day you check in. Wonderful hotel, honors member but they need staff. Linda Czaplicka: The entire front staff including Aubrey the “manager” should not work in customer services and should be sent for training. They were rude, derogatory and unhelpful. I will be taking my complaint further as these employees do not represent the Hilton brand. While these employees are running the show at the hotel I would not recommend to anyone, nobody should be dealing with snarky comments as a customer. Shalyse Ti: This was a great hotel. The staff were very friendly. The room was nice. There was a place to hang more than 2 towels which is often lacking in many hotels and becomes a challenge if you have a family.The pool was also nice and warm and there was a nice Jacuzzi.The only complaint was that the thermostat was a challenge to figure out and the either the walls were a bit thin or the people next to us had their TV really loud.

LeHost Hair & Wigs: The absolute worst experience. My flight was delayed, which caused me to check in later than excepted. I spent over $400+ and was told when I showed up to check in at 5 am. Sorry, you were considered a no-show because you didn’t call by 2-3 am. I explained I was flying and it was impossible to reach. So I lost my money and was charged for 4 nights in I was allow to check-in at all under my reservation I had to find another hotel at 5:30 am. Hilton Garden had a plaque that’s it’s on the front desk that says the “Hilton Promise. If there’s something not right, tell any Team member and them would make sure to help you were satisfied and your experience better, that was not my experience. I’ll never stay in this hotel again. I must admit this is my fault. I forget the last two times I stay there. The 7th floor is like a partying floor that smells of weed in the halls. The Last time I stayed there management changed and the standard has dropped tremendously. This is truly my last time as a Hilton Honors member & Hilton timeshare holder very disappointed. Tweet Davis: This hotel is very clean and nice but do not I repeat do not go hear if you plan on just relaxing. They will give you wrist bands to get into the pool but there will be so many people in that pool are it’s ridiculous and for some reason everyone decided that they like to sit at the pool/jacuzzi entrance and they are not considerate enough to move and let you in. Second be prepared to be up all night because there will be kids playing in the halls and knocking on your doors all night. And management won’t do a thing about it.

Jonathan Erb: Wet disappointed with my recent stay. I stay at this hotel every 2-3 months for work and normally never have a problem. This last stay March 21- March 23, I enter the room after 8 hours of travel, to what looks like a clean room. I open up my suitcase and start unloading it in the the provided drawer spaces. As I get to the last drawer to put some of my last items away there are a pair of underwear that do not belong to me. I take a picture of them in the drawer the using a tissue I remove them from the drawer and discard them in the trash, avoiding that drawer for the rest of my stay. I then go down to the front desk and inform them of the event. They offer to switch me rooms however I just unpacked so I declined and I didn’t want to make too big of a deal out of the situation. To make things right they promise to deep clean the room the next day. The next day before leaving the room I tidy up so my items won’t be in the way, I pull the linens off the bed I slept in and pulled the bathroom items I used and put them all together in the corner to make things easier for them to clean the rooms after being gone from 7am until approximately 7pm I came back to a room that hadn’t been touched in the slightest. Everything still where I left it including the items I pulled to make the housekeepers job easier. Considering staying elsewhere after this experience. Really disappointed and disgusted!

Alexis K: This hotel is fabulous and very comfortable. Recently renovated suites. Very friendly staff. They even have an omelette bar station for breakfast. Jeanie was very helpful in explaining the airport shuttle and another woman had breakfast ready a few mins early for my friends and I since we were going to miss it because of work. The reason I’m giving 4 start instead of 5 is because my check in process was a nightmare. I needed a feather free room as requested earlier in the week. When I got there it wasn’t done. So I had to wait 2.5 hours for them to change the comforter and pillow. I also had to keep going up to the front desk and ask when it was ready. Britney and Toiya were very nice and told me it was ready. As I finally go up there housekeeping told me it has not been touched and had me wait in someone else’s feathered room until it was. Communication between front desk and housekeeping is lacking for sure.
Robert Marchessault: Older Embassy Suites airport Hotel. Doesn't compare well with newer versions. Lobby is renovated and welcoming, but rooms are old and need improvement. For my stay in RM 112, the following issues need to be addressed. Terrible old mattress, most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Toilet wouldn't flush correctly (staff repaired it on request). Spigot in tub detached from tiles and exposed pipes. Rust and corrosion in bathroom. Air conditioning barely able to keep room cool. In somes ways the free 2 alcoholic beverage per evening give away tries to compensate for the failings. Breakfast is ok but uneven. Burger bar is nice.
Edward Hineline: Room is a bit dated but clean and comfy. They are remodeling. JoAnne at front desk was just so customer oriented and bubbly. Cristina at the Burger Bar friendly and helpful. We stayed overnight as we were flying out next day. Pricey? Yeah. Worth it? Yeah. Pool was open, food onsite, snack party or whatever they called it. I hear breakfast is good but we were due out early so missed it. Planes fly over hotel and you never here them. Quiet night's sleep

DB73: Decided to reserve a room here for my wife's birthday to get away from the kids and relax. After arriving we had a few minor discrepancies. We asked to speak to the floor manager who's name is Antonio. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was most pleasant. My wife was extremely happy, and comfortable. Thank you Antonio for keeping me out of the dog house.

Steve Hines: I am currently staying here for the week and likely have to reconsider coming back to stay here...1) The guy who is supposed to be helping out folks like myself and my family with luggage is just standing there, not doing anything other than saying hi. However I do notice the next day he is certainly helping out people on two different instances who don't look like me with their luggage. What is that about?2) There seems to be a big focus at this hotel on helping out all the folks they are entertaining for some event that is being held here but not necessarily those coming to stay here.3) No menu for the restaurant in the hotel. Called down and spoke with the front desk and was told there was. Came down downstairs and spoke with the front desk and told they don't provide menus but yet the same lady says let me find you one...which is it?4) Battery issue with the phone in the room.5) lady at front desk must have some kind of attitude as she was not curtious at all at check in. In addition, never offered the customary cookies that everyone is offered at a Doubletree, etc.6) Elevators unavailable while staff was trying to move chairs around from another floor. Just told us we have to wait with my elderly mother in law just standing there...7) The list goes on.....What gives with this place? Worse Doubletree I've ever stayed in...

I was surprised by my daughters for a mommy staycation and I truly enjoyed my stay, the room was nice size, comfy bed , balcony and the lounge area with the red piano /colorful decor.. simply gorgeous! I think I enjoyed that area the most A mini photo shoot must during your stay.. The other lounge area included a blue piano.. soo sexy and the art work was beautiful. I enjoyed my stay and the bar staff was superb! If you visit.. be sure to walk right on over to Joe Muer.. They never miss a beat on the the seafood treats and ambiance. Clark Biggers: Not your average Doubletree. Just rennovated throughout a year ago so feels super nice. Restaurant and bar in lobby. Nice seafood next door. Ask for rooms in back of property due to both road noise in front and noise from lobby bar area. One thing to know is major construction happening next door. Stephanie Saville: We hosted a fundraising event at The Kingsley in one of the ballrooms. It was a pleasure working with Amber, Curtis and Katrina. Amber was very prompt in replying to all emails, helped us easily organize our event needs and stepped in to assist even after she transitioned to another role. The day of set-up Curtis and Katrina were efficient, friendly and accommodating. The day-of the event everything went off without a hitch thanks to Katrina's team and Peyton. We were very pleased with services and would host another event there in the future.Ballroom we used was a bit small for our needs, but it was set up beautifully and recently renovated.

S.: They allowed someone to add their bill at the restaurant Zalmans downstairs to my room and charged me over $75 for food that I did not purchase when my bill was only supposed to be $35 they added on extra and allowed someone to eat free and add their tab to my room. I will never ever stay here again! In addition the room had hair all in the sheets and a maid walked in on me while I was inside my room. I had a terrible experience here.
