Christopher McMonigle: Always a great place to stay when visiting Detroit or the surrounding area. Great places to go to within walking distance. I received great service, especially from Joseph at the front desk. Definitely a go to spot for my next trip.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Jay Hawk: Very quality stay. Highly recommend for amazing location and equally amazing staff. I was looking for an alternative to the Westin in the area which I’ve stayed for years but clearly they’ve lost their thunder. This hotel was amazing. The staff was very accommodating and it’s amazing for kids. 5 min drive from the zoo. Accessible to highways. Entertainment and dining within walking distance.Highly recommend.
Alejandro Gajano: Got in late at about 2am, the gentleman working the shift was thoughtful enough to hold the door for me feom the parking lot side so I wouldn't have to walk around the building. A++++ Service!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Bahram Banisadr: Clean and comfortable. Exactly what you’d expect.
ThEe DeMon LoRd MaRz bArZ: tall bathtub walls step drop also shower floor is very slippery but the breakfast was really good
Ran Naftaly: Very nice, relatively new hotel, in a good area of Detroit, where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants and bars.Rooms are really big and clean.Good breakfastRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
John Singer: I cannot emphasize enough how amazing my stay at the Hyatt Place in Royal Oak, Michigan, was! It truly elevated the entire experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to rest after a night of unforgettable music. The moment I arrived at the Hyatt Place, the friendly and attentive staff made me feel right at home. Their knowledge of the local area and helpful suggestions made my trip even more memorable. The check-in process was seamless, and I was blown away by the modern design and immaculate cleanliness of the hotel. My room was both spacious and comfortable, featuring a plush bed that made it hard to leave in the morning. The amenities were top-notch, from the large flat-screen TV to the well-stocked mini-fridge. I especially appreciated the fast and reliable Wi-Fi, which allowed me to share my concert experience with friends and family back home. One of the highlights of my stay was discovering Lily's Seafood, a gem of a restaurant just a short walk from the hotel. The mouth-watering seafood dishes, coupled with the lively atmosphere and exceptional service, made it the perfect spot for a pre-concert meal. I still can't stop thinking about the crab-stuffed shrimp and their signature Key Lime Pie!After the concert, I was pleasantly surprised to find the Hyatt Place's 24-hour fitness center. It was well-equipped and perfect for burning off the extra energy from the night's festivities. The next morning, the complimentary breakfast was just what I needed to refuel before my journey home. The variety of options, including fresh fruit and hot breakfast sandwiches, left me feeling satisfied and ready to conquer the day.In conclusion, my stay at the Hyatt Place in Royal Oak, Michigan, exceeded all expectations. The impeccable service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made it the perfect home base for my first concert experience. I can't wait for my next visit to Royal Oak, and I know exactly where I'll be staying – the Hyatt Place!
Josh Culbert: Awesome location right downtown on Main Street, walkable to all the nightlife/restaurants in Royal Oak. Rooms are the spacious typical Hyatt Place mini suites found across the country. Room needed a little paint touch up, but otherwise in good clean condition. Staff very friendly and welcoming and your 15-20 mins from just about everywhere in metro Detroit, including downtown.
Naomi Taylor: Prerry place perfect location to enjoy downtown royal oak however bar attendant was fashionable late had to encourage front desk to serve me a drink. He didn't know how to make it so I suggested he Google it due to me working in the hotel industry. He made sarcastic remarks but he then made the drink. Other than that nice stayRoom was fine
Carla Sena: I honestly had an amazing experience. I stayed for a weekend and the rooms were extremely clean, the staff were friendly and the hotel overall was super clean. I would definitely return!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Leonard Harner: Spacious rooms that are well taken care of. The staff is very friendly and attentive. What I love most is that the breakfast is served on reusable plates with real silverware, less trash compared to other chains and locations.
Ryan: First time here. Great corner suite on top floor with early check in time allowed since it was ready. Clean and looked well maintained. Easy parking.Great spot to spend the night in town or if you just want a night out in Royal Oak. My wife and I needed a vacation away from home and a night out. Suite was great, top floor, corner, shower big enough for two, and couch big enough for activities. If you need a secluded spot after a night of drinking downtown, I’d highly recommend. Classy, quiet, and an easy walk from all the bars. My wife and I can’t wait to come back and already booked our next stay.
Brian McFadden: Very nice hotel, quiet, clean and well kept. Some suggestions I have to improve this hotels rating is have breakfast staff more attentive to keeping the area clean, offer to assist guests and keep the condiments filled. Lastly the front desk staff could be more friendly and welcoming. They are okay but don’t go the extra step to be really welcoming and friendly. It would be nice for the hotel to have had a hot tub. Lastly the hotel manager Andrew cares and is excellent when he gets involved to take care of his guests and clients!
Elizabeth W: Very clean and tidy, view was much more beautiful than I anticipated. Will definitely be coming back again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Charles Collin: That's a hyatt
Jake Swank: Great place to stay, room was clean, staff was friendly. Right in downtown Royal Oak so everything is walking distance, bars, restaurants, movie theater.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Quiet, High-tech …More

Hyatt Place Detroit/Livonia: what do users think?

Got comfortable in the lobby for a work meeting and within 30 mins they had a room cleaned for me.Every staff member I interacted with was so kind. Annette was especially helpful and friendly.I’ll book here for all my MI work trips.
Sheila McLaughlin: Staff is friendly, rooms are clean.
Jaclyn Kwiatkowski: Close to Detroit but not super close (30 min). Pool was down which was a huge bummer. Our rooms bathroom door did not shut at all. Otherwise nice place.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Ran Naftaly: Nice and clean, surrounded with a lot of restaurants.Rooms are nice but with small rest room.Small basic gym. Most basic breakfast, could be better

Abe ismael: I am happy to oblige! Let me tell you about my experience staying at the Hyatt Place in Livonia. First of all, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the amenities were top-notch. I especially appreciated the complimentary breakfast each morning, which was delicious and had plenty of options to choose from. The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and shopping centers. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place in Livonia and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable experience. 10/10 would stay again!
Crystal Murphy Tucker: My family and I traveled from Atlanta to Detroit for a 40th Birthday Bash! We stayed two nights and checked out on a Sunday! I made sure I cleaned the room before leaving! My family was a little under the weather so I Lysol everything so that housekeeping wouldn’t catch a cold. I took all trash placed it by the door in bags that weretied up, as well as placed all towels in one pile and sheets in one pile. I was told that we left the room trash but wasn’t charged for the room being trashed, no pictures were provided by the hotel to show proof. I called the hotel several times to speak with someone in regards to this matter and they haven’t returned any of my calls. So word to the wise make sure you take pictures of your room when you arrive and before you leave this location! They are liars! I wish I would’ve never stay at this location! I called the front desk and asked if there was any notes in the system stating that the room was trash or if I was charge a fee and Ashley stated no! Not sure why housekeeping and or management lied! If I could give them no stars I would for this very reason. You come to enjoy your stay and this made me upset to know that they would lie like this!
S: Dilapidated and worn out room, toe nail clippings on the floor, stains in the bathroom, stains all over the sofa, a white crusty material on pillow.Definitely short staffed on housekeeping.Great buffet breakfast!Everett brought a microwave up for me which was awesome. Housekeeping knocked on door to see if I needed anything. Male employee vacuuming in lobby hallway immediately offered to help with luggage. Super nice and courteous staff ups the stars, but obviously dealing with older hotel in need of renovation and more housekeeping staff. Not up to par with other Hyatt places around the US that I have stayed at.
luis Martinez: Spent 2 days at his property on a work trip. Front desk was very courteous and our room was okay. It's a property in need of an update it's pretty dated . Room layouts are odd but it served its purpose. It's not the cleanest but it's close to many grocery stores etc.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 2/5 …More
Patricia Mauritzson: Food & drinks: Raul Yojani was awesome, so attentive and friendly. He makes coming back here year after year so enjoyable.Cororra at the Bar made drinks to perfection. She was also very sweet and kind.

Hyatt Place Detroit/Utica: what do users think?
Christine: I walked through the doors and the hotel seemed musty smelling. When I walked up to the counter to check in to 411 the man at the front made me feel that it was a bother I showed up to check out. He mumbled the breakfast hours so I asked for a pen to write them down and he handed me it annoyed that I need to write things down to remember. Get to the room and it smelled so old and musty. Please have 411's carpet cleaned. Shampoo the hallways. Shampoo the couch and move it and vacuum under it please. The shower is so old and dirty looking I was so thankful I brought slides and I wore them the whole time. There were smears on the TV stand. I wanted to go ask for a different room, but the front staff was not the friendliest. I checked the bed and it was atleast clean so I just tried to hurry my stay along by falling asleep. I will say at least the bed had clean sheets. I will definitely not return to this hotel. I spent way too much money for this hotel stay. Very disappointed! The hunt for a nice, clean hotel continues.
John Lee Bingham: Another nice Hyatt.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Maha Saoud: We had a great stay this past weekend, great staff and a special thanks to Anas at the front desk, very helpful polite and respectful. We had a group of 22 rooms booked and he was so accommodating to everyone. Great service and overall cleanliness.
Brad P: Clean rooms, nice lobby, a great but small pool area.
Samantha Shepard: We stayed here for a little over a month and enjoyed our stay. The hotel breakfast was what we looked forward to the most. One reason why we looked forward to breakfast is because of Judy. She made it easy to feel at home, our daughter absolutely loves her and still talks about her to this day. She’s the sweetest woman ever! Aside from that, the staff was very friendly and helpful, always greeting us each time we came in, very professional staff. We definitely will be staying here again sometime soon!Nearby activities: Close to Partridge Creek, parks and plenty of stores.
Kevin Green: Manager very rude and don't get along with people. Very non people skillsRooms: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
miranda banana: Right next to Dave and busters and lots of restaurants! We had a very clean room and the pool was very clean as well! Definitely will go back!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Lillian Nevils: Rooms: AwesomeRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value, High-tech …More
DELLA JOHNSON: Do not stay here!!! Hotel is old outdated & has a odor. Staff is basically rude/unprofessional. From the front desk to the “management “. They harassed my family, phone calls & even a knock on the door about the hotel policies. That’s the manager told us out of her own mouth are not posted on their site. I fell like we were racially profiled as well. Dirty looks no greetings at all.Next step is corporate to enlighten them on their staff.Long story short we left only after 2 hours of checking in.
R Peña: Beware the noise. The hotel is right next to the freeway and the room and the windows are not soundproof so it kept me up all night. Ask for a room NOT facing the freeway. In addition the bed is uncomfortable and it had stains on it.Also the air-conditioning kept coming on in the middle of the night even though it was freezing outside. Also this is a minor point but the TV did not work right. The tag on the back said it was from 2007!
annette thomas: I haven't been to a hotel in many years, the stay here makes me want to take mini vacations. We were here because of loss of power.Food & drinks: Complimentary breakfast was nice.
Mical Williams: Not coming back anytime soon. Service/staff no help at all. A/C keeps turning on (it's 20° outside) and I can't get a different room.
Marco Busiello: Last time I went the restroom was not as clean as I was expecting, I had to request additional attention at the receptionRooms: Very clean, standard amenitiesSafety: Very safe areaWalkability: You need a car, otherwise just mc Donald's, best buy and Applebee's
Amy Camilleri: Clean. Staff & guests are all so nice. Will definitely come back.
