Afifa Zaheer: The museum was beautiful and we had a great time exploring different sections. We were able to go around 4:00pm which was the time when there were less people, and to be honest it was the best. If you wish to utilize the place for great pictures as well, make sure you either go super early or super late. All in all, amazing touristy thing to do.
Cody Weikel: The Detroit Institute of Arts is a great gallery exposition of fine art and artifacts from all around the world. Hamza Azam: one of the BEST MUSEUMs in Michigan, and especially the detroit have to offer. This location has one of the LAST full IMAX 70mm screen in ALL of the midwest and United States, and us local have to do everything we can to continue to support this place! One of my fondest memories was watching Christoper Nolan’s “Tenet” in full IMAX 70mm during the pandemic and feeling like i was inside the movie. I hope they also play his next movie “Oppenheimer” coming in July and I will be sure to spread the word!
Christen Smith: This place is expensive, yet exciting! I go there because I have a young daughter. I wouldn't go there if I didn't have a child. I found out about Michigan Science Center at elementary school when we went on a field trip there.Visited on Weekday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More
erika mbah: lots of exciting, hands-on exhibits for children [and adults]. even with several school groups, it iwas easy to navigate & didn't feel overly crowded. the imax offerings were interesting & the theater was comfortable. there are several elevators, so accessibility isn't an issue. on-site parking fills quickly, but there is plenty of street & ramp parking nearby.food & beverage options are very limited so if you have children that like to graze frequently, bring your own snacks.
Bee M: Worth the membership. I've been here close to a dozen times with my kids, always good to get their minds working.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More
Rach Baby: Really love this place very clean alot of learning exhibits to do for time you their you will learn a lot with your kids and family I love science so going their was like being a kid again 🤣🤣🤣🤣because it was so fun to see all the science exibits and I love the IMAX theater too ☺️will be coming back with my kids again and my kids really enjoyed themselves too ☺️will be coming back oh yeah let's not mention it's very reasonable price for family and kids and and they have membership packages that's if you go all the time ☺️
Denyce Detkowski: My grandson had an accident with a glass tube and was belittled and treated very poorly by the staff. He love science and I can't believe they would treat a child like this. Accidents happen and children need to understand it happens and it is okay. His first experience with a school field trip and now he never wants to go on one again. Very sad.

Makayla Sorrell: This is a really great experience for kids under 15. There are some cool things to do for the older folks. There great photo opportunities here. The food is expensive. We went to the Sound Scapes planetarium show and it was geared for children under 10 which was fine, but it wasn't great. It was just being projected on the dome. It was also ridiculously hot in the whole building. I don't think their AC was turned on yet, but after a couple hours it was awful. Again, it was a cool experience for the kids.
Sarah Grimm: What a cool place! We visited from out of town and our 7 yo and 9 yo had a great time. We saw two shows, and explored all of the exhibits. All of the staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More

Ta.Abraham Green: Not a good experience the workshop was to be aimed towards teenagers and no teenagers were there. No digital art only old school drawing techniques. The workshop instructor did not introduce herself just started talking and giving vague instructions. Major Jusmajor: Staff members are always exceptional.
Andella White: Fun and educational for kids of all ages.
Ben Williams: It's a great place to bring your children learn about history of science and for me it brings back memories being there as a kid
Seydi Sarr: I found books that accurately portray my senegalese heritage and many beautiful artifacts and dolls💜
Andrea Johnson: There are so many jewels in history here you must bring your kids to very kid-friendly the atmosphere is amazing
Cln Ly: I like this museum especially the free books.
Norm La Salle: Need more free parking
Cyndi Russ: I had fun with my grand daughter there. Good place to visit .
toni zbikowski: I guess if we want the museum to be open to Detroit Metro, Metro needs to help financially support the Museums or the state needs to step up. We need to tell our representatives in MI&DC to not cut funding to the Arts&Ed
Keith Pettygrue Jr: Very polite and friendly. Cool little activity for kids. Oil
Daniel Elrod: Nice
Douglas Hill: Great place to take the kids
Mike Cunningham: Wonderful exhibits, interactive, fun for all
vic1101ful: My students and always have a wonderful learning experience.
The Cry for America With Dr Kwaw (The Cry for America): Great fun
PJ'S creative corner: It seemed out to me this was closed on a Saturday?
Andy Butler: Same as other reviewers. It says it is open, drove all the way down here, = NOT OPEN
Maria Dickerson: Why is this museum being advertised on local Detroit stations when it is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC? This makes no sense whatsoever! Since it is open to DPS schools only...wouldn't the DPS schools KNOW THIS thus no need to show on television. NOT all school age children ATTEND DETROIT PUBLIC SCHOOLS...but would benefit from the experience of the Children's Museum. Can someone figure this out..how hard it is actually?
This Is A Bucket: Took grand children today. Website said open today 9 to 4. NOT! Sign on door says open to DPS only. Common sense says put that on the website! Apparently the staff lacks in that department.

Katie Siepierski: Absolutely fantastic, but SO expensive! Most expensive museum I have ever been to. It is great that if you show you have an EBT card at the ticket desk, you get a massive discount, but, there's plenty of people who dont have EBT, who cannot afford these high ticket prices. Its sad, as it excludes many of those who have a low or fixed income.Aside from cost excluding those with low and/or fixed income, particularly those who are older (but not yet senior citizens legally) who receive social security, like my kids' grandma, the staff was great, everything was clean, even the bathrooms.
