My 1st time to visit, we ordered a delish veggie Samosas starter with a Butter Chicken entree. I couldn't decide on mild or medium spicy for chicken, but a charming Server helped me order a special "Mild Plus+" version that was just perfect w Basanti Rice - incredibly tasty! That along with a seriously generous-sized green salad & we had a feast. Great value for money - we will be enjoying a whole 2nd next day meal on the leftovers. We def look forward to coming back as regulars!

However, I do not recommend ever catering from them, as Azad (owner?) can be unreliable to the point that he will "ghost" you.Made three attempts to reach out to them after Azad agreed (after our long commute and in person meeting) to cater desserts for a wedding. In my last message (voicemail), I even expressed that if they're not able to provide the service, it's okay, they just need to communicate it to me so I can find someone in a timely fashion. No response. It's been over two weeks.

Wellful Goodness: This is a true hole in the wall that no one really knows about. It's so clean! I wasn't expecting for it to be such a nice and relaxing place. And the people are really friendly and helpful. The food is great and flavorful. I travel a lot and I believe this place may have one of the best curry in Michigan and it's in a place that no one knows about while being in Detroit.

Diane Zelman: You'd never think to find a great cafe in the basement of this building, but this was a great find only a 5 minutes walk from the Detroit Institute of Arts. We've eaten there twice after museum visits. Delicious shwarma, samosas, masala naan and flavorful soups (we actually took some extra samosas home to freeze), with mango lassi as a treat. Simple space, spotless, staff friendly. This will be our standard after-museum stop.

Hakim: Been going for years, not bad. Although sometimes the dishes all taste the same. For instance if you get a creamy dish like tikka or butter chicken, it tastes similar. Like coloring was only changed- sometimes too sweet too. Same similar tastes with buna/karahi/curry. Medium spice is usually way too hot, my wife loves spicy but even her nose is dripping lol. Overall it’s a good place to go for a quick Indian fix with fair prices.

Moriah Dean: I’ve had them now twice and the last time I got the lunch special. I tried both the Chicken curry and the Chicken tiki masala. I got a side order of garlic naan and a mango lassi. Everything had a great fresh taste to it and I’ve been thinking about it ever since I had it! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because I wish they had a little more meat in it, but I was satisfied with the side of naan I got. The lunch special comes with your choice of 2 chicken selections and 2 veggie selections. I wish they had a little more options for meat selections as well! I would really recommend the lunch special for those who maybe are novice to Indian cuisine. Can’t go wrong with the choices.

Mitchell Blum: Not super impressed. The food was okay; however despite the herbs and spices that I could taste, it still seemed bland, like they hadn't put salt on anything. The lamb in my Tikka Masala was also incredibly dry, which seems impossible considering the approximately 8 pieces I got were surrounded by probably a quart of liquid. My wife's Butter chicken was also seemingly overly sweet, which might be enticing to some, but not us. Overall the best part of our meal was the warm Naan that we ordered, but it seems a tad ridiculous to charge $4 for a single piece of Naan.

Rahman Saima: I went there for there sweets... I traveled from DC to Hamtramck for visiting family and I usually bring Bangladeshi mishty(sweets) from bengali store or restaurants on the way back. They re-opened their store after Covid-19 so I went and asked for samples... they don't have samples so I bought 2 pack of Mishty(Sweets), 2 pack of Nimki and told him that I will take multiple pack of sweets if I like it and I am going to try it at his store. He suggested another type of sweet and said try that type it's really good and he personally recommend. So I went ahead and ask him to give me the a pack he suggested. I tried all sweets before I paid and guess what!!!! All sweets tasted awful 😖... including the one he suggested... that one was the worst. I told him right away that none of sweets taste good. And he really didn't care and charge me full amount of all the sweets. I would expect the least is not to charge for the one he recommended or charge me half of the one he recommended.

I ordered a mango lassi, I asked for it 3 times if I’m able to get it now just for them to tell me they don’t have it, but you could have told me that earlier when I asked. Kunjal Modi: During my visit to my best friend in Windsor, I went to Sai Prasad Indian Restaurant for the very 1st time. The food was amazing and authentic. I am from Surat, INDIA, and being Surati/Gujju I was missing my hometown specialty, Surati Khamani, and Rasawala Khaman. And luckily, both things were on the menu. On the first bite, I was so amazed and happy and surprised. I can say there was a happy tear in my eyes. I even told my friend that my soul got touched by my hometown food taste and there was a huge smile on my face. I can say I got a motive to visit my friend more often from Port Elgin to Windsor just to have delicious food at Sai Prasad. I even got a chance to have a conversation with the owners. I must say sweet uncle and cute aunty made me feel that I am talking with my close ones. Highly recommend this place to all the foodies.
