Astoria Pastry Shop: what do users think?
Edward Boes: Has no tast
Juju Be: Got a $30… dollar cake and one of the people that checked me out helped themselves to a $81 dollar tip. Don’t trust this place with your card.
Julissa Deleon: I was over charged on a cake… I got a 30.. dollar cake and when I looked at my bank statement I was charged $119 dollars.
Sai Dasari: Good, traditional and authentic pastries.
aaron gurgul: Favorite place for dessert in Greektown
Rois Savvides: Great dessert selection. Friendly staff.
rbt1129: I love this place, been going for years, disappointed about Greek town in a whole, sad to see it lose restaurants, just not like it used to be. I'll probably go to Astoria in royal oak from now on
Steve Duane: A must-stop place every time I'm downtown. I've never had a single mediocre thing here, everything is top notch. I highly recommend the white chocolate strawberry tort.
Holistic Angel: I'm sorry, this bakery is just not the place to go if you love chocolate chip cookies. I stopped in to get some for my son for our picnic but he wouldn't even take a second bite. I tried it and understood why lol. Their cookies are super thick and super dry. I even asked the employees if they were baked fresh today and they said yes. They were lying. The cookies were days old and way too thick to be selling in a busy downtown bakery. My blueberry bread pudding was nasty too. Too wet, compared to many other places I've had it. Now my turkey & cheese croissant was yummy. That's the only reason I gave them 3 stars. I ate the whole thing!
Nicole Freeman: Perfection!
MzChosenByGrace: I’ve been eating here since childhood and it still holds a special place in my heart. All their sweets are bliss
Vasileios Georgiadis: Delicious!!
Kris Yankee: Awesome!!! Love all the goodies here.
Laura J Booker: Wonderful selection of deliciousness!!! ALWAYS make a stop when I'm in Detroit, especially for Chocolate Mice!!
Mary E: Worth every pricy penny
Alyssa Price: So delicious!
Khyail Pierre: The best thing abt this place is the fights that tend to happen in front of it ... if u looking for excitement go on a hot Friday or Saturday night ... talking abt u got a sweet tooth somebody might knock it right out lol ... good cakes and treats jus can get hectic depending on when u go
Mary Thomas: Great place with yummy treat for us to eat....
Rachel Rivas: My bf stopped by on the way home today and picked up several things. So far, these things were great and we would get again, cannoli, rice pudding, mini key lime pie. These 3 things were great. He picked me up a piece of key lime pie cheesecake that I requested. I would not recommend, nor get this again. To start, it was an artifical green color, didn't look like key lime. Once I took a bite I was severely disappointed. It had no key lime taste at all, just plain cheesecake dyed green.
Derek Paquette: I love this bakery but today I went there and got for peanut butter cookies. Drove 40 miles home. Open the bag and I have some sort of raisin cookie. The young lady serving me didn’t look very happy to be there and obviously she wasn’t paying attention. So $13 and 40 miles for something I didn’t like. Bummer.
M 5081 (M 5081): I liked everything about the experience.

Cannelle Detroit: what do users think?
Donovan E: Very chill atmosphere with nice outdoor seating. Nice selection of tasty desserts with coffee if you like. Kinda pricey ,but very good.
Chantelle: Clean environment. Beautiful setting. You can tell without a doubt, they took extra care into this establishment. Delicious! Courteous & knowledgeable staff
Joel H.: Did a quick stop in and glad I did. The pistachio & vanilla bean eclairs were FIRE!!! The raspberry macaroon was equally as delicious…
Marshall Symons: Cannelle Bakery in downtown Detroit is my sanctuary, my refuge when the weight of the world becomes too heavy to bear. There are those days when the sheer insufferability of life engulfs me, leaving me searching for a glimmer of hope. It is in those moments that I seek solace at Cannelle, a place where a simple cup of coffee and a delightful pastry can work wonders for the soul.As soon as I step foot into the bakery, I’m embraced by a warm and inviting ambiance. The aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air, instantly lifting my spirits. The friendly staff greet me with genuine smiles, creating an atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. It’s as if they understand the power of a kind word or a friendly gesture in brightening someone’s day.I find myself drawn to their array of pastries, each a work of art in its own right. From the flaky croissants to the decadent cakes, Cannelle never fails to surprise and delight me with their culinary creations. Every bite is an explosion of flavors, expertly crafted to perfection. Pairing these delectable treats with a perfectly brewed cup of coffee completes the experience, making me forget, even for a moment, about the burdens that weigh me down. What sets Cannelle apart is not just the quality of their products but the way they infuse a sense of peace and contentment into my chaotic life. It’s in this cozy haven that I realize my life is, in fact, okay. Surrounded by the simple pleasures of good food, good company, and a warm ambiance, I am reminded that there is still beauty and joy to be found even in the darkest of times. In a world that can often feel cold and uncaring, Cannelle Bakery is a beacon of light, a place where I can momentarily escape the troubles that plague me. It’s a haven of comfort, where a humble coffee and pastry combination can work wonders on my weary soul. If you find yourself in need of respite or a gentle reminder that life can be beautiful, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit to Cannelle Bakery. It may just be the dose of cheer you’ve been longing for amidst the chaos.
Raquel Garcia: One of my favorites places to go when I am at Downtown Detroit. Food is delicious, the music is great! It makes me feel like I am back in France.
Lulu: All-around not worth your time or money, just awful. My friend and I picked a croissant and asked for it to be warmed up at 6:55pm. The store closes at 8pm. The worker, despite having a nice attitude, said that they had already turned off the ovens and were unable to warm the croissant. Strange. She could tell that we weren’t pleased to hear that. We asked if there was a microwave (there wasn’t), my friend and I went back-and-forth trying to decide if we wanted to get something else, giving her an opportunity to say that she would just put it in the oven. She did not. I’ve worked in the food industry and understand wanting to clean and clock out as on time as possible, but it is unacceptable to close down a device so critical to improving the quality of the food and the customer experience over an hour before closing. We got the cold croissant and it just was not good. We also ordered lattes and it was unfortunate to find out that they weren’t being made with an actual espresso machine. The machine looked more like those self-serve cappuccino dispenser machines at gas stations, and tasted just like that too. No espresso flavor at all, just milky. Not worth the $6+ for each drink (and I go to coffee shops and will spend this regularly on good espresso). We were not asked if we were dining in, but we sat down at tables and our drinks were brought out in disposable cups when we intended to have mugs. Probably another shortcut to leave early and avoid washing a couple of cups. Extremely disappointing customer experience both in the service and in the taste of the products.
Hannah Newell: You must visit Cannelle if you are in Detroit!!! With exquisite croissants and pastries, a relaxing atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff, there is nowhere better to check out. I always see Rawaa there and she is the kindest woman and always has a smile on her face. The place is so chic and has such a wonderful Parisian feel! Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!
Mohamad Elmasri: CANNELLE IS FANTASTIC! As a frequent customer and former employee, I cannot tell you how amazing the pastries and customer service is here. Countless times I’ve had sandwiches, pastries, and coffees and each time they have always been great! Also, shoutout to Rawaa and Matt, as a student through undergrad, they were super flexible with my school schedule and always were super understanding when I couldn’t make a shift for school. Overall, they always did right by me and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Cannelle!
F. K.: Not very friendly staff , complicated to reach to the restroom.I hurt my hand when the restroom door slams on my hand while I'm getting outVery wrong mechanic designI reported that to the lady behind the counter immediately 😔
EWC: Awesome sweet treats!
Jerry Dinan: Great brunch. The coffee and food were top notch and the staff really went the extra mile.
Stephanie Cruz: The desserts are delicious.
Ava Pavlina: As both a customer and former employee I cannot speak more highly of having worked at Cannelle and trained by Rawaa. She showed me what a hard work ethic looks like!! It’s awful to be seeing so many lies online!
Alyshia Williams: DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!! Rawa treats the employees here like DOGS!! She fired my favorite barista after having a medical emergency!!
Curtis Hulme: Went in for a latte and a sandwich. Sandwich was good but microwaved. The latte was terrible and I do not suggest. Very friendly staff.
Don Bork: Not inexpensive but worth it.
orlando: Worst macaroons I’ve ever tasted.
J L: Loved the pistachio chocolate croissant!
Sara Dominguez: Delicious pastry and nice ambient.
Denise Doyle: Go hungry....
Mel: The pastries I've had have been so-so, but there is a wide selection. Cute atmosphere.

Milano Bakery and Cafe: what do users think?
J. B.: I was really excited to try this bakery given the reviews. I was disappointed with everything I had, and I tried multiple things. I got a breakfast sandwich and a loaf of italian bread and they were OK. The breakfast sandwich was just kind of dry. The Italian loaf was nice and squishy but didn't have the flavor I was looking for. I also purchased a cannoli, a mini pineapple upside down cake and a chocolate chip cookie of some sort and I think something else. Regardless I honestly didn't like any of it, especially the pineapple upside down cake which had a weird smell and taste. They have plenty of other things, so if you go, try things other than what I got! That's the only suggestion I have for you.
khalil elara: my wife and i been going to saad meat market for more than a year now every time we stop for coffee and muffin staff are very friendly and helpful clean place i am going over there again when they reopen
Steve Gluskin: Great pastriesThe lemon cookies (when they have them) are delicious. I hope they open the cafe again soon
Dwight J Brown: Average dessert, got three different types, Over priced!
Tyneta Elliott: Friendly staff, fresh tasty baked goods.
Crystal Bryant: Every dessert, pastry and soup I’ve consumed from Milano’s for many years has been top notch. I’m sad to hear of their closing.
PinkLady 555: Very good baked goods great for fresh breads and danish rolls lots of cookies and sliced cakes even pies and they have a good lunch menu of sandwiches and soups. But they will be closed starting Jan 16th they are going to be doing renovations so hurry and get your goodie Now
Robert Mason: Awesome find! Friendly staff, reasonable prices, fast service & yummy products!!!
Maurice Adoranti: Great deserts.
camille martin: The fresh bread smells great. Nice lunch spot.
Shannon Black: So many choices. Very good customer service. The sandwiches are outstanding. I really enjoyed all of the baked goods that I've purchased over the years. My only gripe is that the croissants aren't buttery enough and are very dry. Other than that, I highly recommend Milano Bakery and Cafe.
Sherry Berry: Milano had a sign stating a discount on the pound cakes for $10 bucks. They failed to mention that the cakes were 4 days old. The cake was dry as the desert. Money wasted. Expressed my complaint & the lady seemed not to care one way or another....
D Davis: Went to get soup and sandwich for late lunch...the soups are very tasty. The turkey and/or ham and cheese criossants are so fresh. The baked good are excellent. Can't wait to go back for more soup. Just make sure you've got the right order..it can be very busy at the counter!!
james h.: 1/2 sandwich three bites and done 6.00 for three bites not happy
Sheree Woods: Never disappointed with service or food
Alissa Middendorf: What a fun place to stop for treats! So many goodies to choose from! Yum!
Why “DetroitGirlsHustleHarder” Williams: Great place to eat buy cakes, slices etc. Plus you can order cakes thy donot accept EBT
MasonCop: It's a good place to get food in the area, the staff is helpful, and the parking is great. Unfortunately sometimes I get a stale piece of cake of something less than perfect. Best to stick with the stuff they sell a lot of.
thomas marcetti: Good quality. No crusty Italian peasant bread but good Americanised bread
Rick Wade: They have the best sandwiches and soup in the area. Also, the staff there are some of the nicest people and make you feel like family.
Kymberlyn Crowell: Not just a bakery. Good food

Italia Bakery: what do users think?
magic money: Seriously great breads and pizza
Rasha Almayyahi: Fresh bread 🥖
A C: I like going there because you can make your persistence there you can buy your cookies and bread and everything like that every nicer and they're very friendly
MPeck: Very good pastizzi! Ordered a batch and they were thawed by the time we got home, great for a quick meal!
Diane Markavich: The best bakery around! If you are looking for Maltese Pastizzi, this is the place to come! You won’t be disappointed. The young lady at the counter was so very sweet.
Dhargham Alnawab: My favorite bakery to get the tasty bread from. It's delicious and the staff is awesome. The owner is such a nice friend of mine.
Michelle H: My favorite bakery by far. The staff is so nice and welcoming. The food is exceptional. Would recommend to anyone!!!
A S: All items are very good. This is a childhood icon even though the location has changed. Would be 5 stars but was told the last time I was in they no longer make pepperoni rolls.
Alex Sandra: Love their bread! And sandwich buns!!!
Abraham Kobeissi: Awesome service 👏
ابو حمدان: Best 🥪 in town
Lou Corbo: This place is at least a 25-35 minute drive from my house and there may a hundred bakeries between here and there, but this is the only one with Authentic Maltese Pastizzi and they are worth the trip. This is the first time I've ever tried the bread, and it reminded me of growing up in Astoria, Queens NY... every one of my friends could not stop gushing about it. Also tried the cannoli for the first time and it was spot on as well. I'm an absolute fan, these guys have something special here
Tracy Shehi: Don't listen to anyone that says negative about the bakery they are such lies every thime i go to the bakery the the owner and the wife are always nice they make all their foods fresh. Daily i never got a rotten or uncook food it is always smells good and is warm so i suggest that every single person to go at this bakery if they want fresh food other places where they sell food they are not fresh and clean but italian bakery has fresh food and is very clean
Bob Byrne: Great cookies and bread
Basema Ali: I love ittt
Jose Jordan: Order your pepperoni rolls ahead of time because they sell out fast. Call ahead to ask if any are available and have them hold them for you. Arrive fairly quick because if you don't and you order a dozen, there may be only 10 when you get there.
Ava Flowers: Best Brownies ever without nuts. Had them for my dads repast and everyone loved them, will pick up some more for Thanksgiving!
Cynthia Abela: My apologies to the owners. I previously reviewed another place with the same name in California but my review somehow was posted to Italia in Dearborn. However, I did actually go there to your place when I was in Detroit for pastizzi and it is amazing! Best of the area. I will be back the next time I’m in town which will be later this year. Oh, and by the way I’m not married and when I was there it was with my daughter buying several dozen pastizzi both baked and frozen for my father and family who turns 90 this year! So again I’m sorry the review was posted to the wrong Italia. I actually wish I could find pastizzi out here In California as do many other Maltese out here! Excellent pastizzi you have! Everyone should at least try your pastizzi they will be hooked and this place has the absolute best even better than at the club! Best to you always!
Kassem Almattar: Good
Rae Evans: This place has the best bread !!! I drive 40 minutes to come here and is definitely worth the drive.
Pamela Wild: Yum

Dearborn Italian Bakery: what do users think?
Monty Piethon: Stopped in there for some lasagna and some baked sweets EXCELLENT
Raymond Hernandez: Excellent pizza slices and pepperoni rolls 😋
Eric Evans: Great great great,,,, I am adding to a post I went in I ordered a pizza I ordered three meat items olives and light green peppers I told the lady who took my order light light light light green peppers she asked me if I wanted light olives as well I said no I want regular olives and light light light green peppers she asked what did I mean I said I just wanted to barely taste the green peppers I'm posting a picture with the pizza that I received this is a great place but I was highly disappointed on 5:13 2023
MsJones: Let me be the FIRST to advise all customersThe ONLY items they prepare from scratch are pizza dough, sub rolls & bread, pizza sauce, meat & marinara sauce, meat lasagna.#1 They DO NOT bake ANY cookies, pastries, cakes, pies.EVERYTHING is purchased from anoutside source.#2 They buy stouffer‘s vegetable lasagna;remove Stouffer’s foil lid and put on a foillid with their label on it.THAT’S A FACT!#3 The small hot bar also consists of pre-made food from an outside source.
Gerard Silski: They have the best pizza and subs.
Alayne Soltysiak: My family and I have been enjoying this bakery for decades at this point. The pizza rolls and premade lasagnas are fantastic... just about anything you get here is fantastic! Fond childhood memories of getting a cookie/treat from here while Mom and Dad bought bread and/or dinner for the evening from here.
Joe Southwest: They changed something and the unbaked was horrible
Bill D: The breakfast pizza is awesome
Joe Pawlowski: Classic
Michael James: A+
Ron Webster: You can't beat the taste of this place!! Nuff said .
Eric: Very big slice's of pizza great prices worth another try.
HeavySoul67: There is no other pizza like this, such a unique flavor profile that is addictive. Take one home and bake it. I like to let it bake for 15-17 min and then remove it from the pan and place directly on rack and bake another 5-7 min to get the crust crispy!!
Pete Bommarito: We love the food but the prices have gotten out of hand. I love the pepperoni rolls but $3.50 I'm tapping out. To much for dough and a few pieces of pepperoni
Lesley Fodor: Love DIB... fresh bread, yummy pepperoni rolls, & delicious cannoli!
Geretha Ridley: Always perfect!
Jerry Makled: Delicious pizza! The u-bake is also delicious
Katie Siepierski: I used to come here when I was in middle school, and today, 2-2-23 at 4:15 I finally came back here for the first time since then with a middle schooler of my own! I was so excited! I wasn't sure where to go exactly, so I went to the corner where I could see the pizza boxes, and saw there was a register at the other end. After waiting a couple minutes for the elderly gentleman ahead of me to finish having a conversation with the woman behind the counter, it was then my turn. Annette was her name. I asked her,"Hi! Is this where I pay? Sorry I haven't been here since I was a kid and my parents always were the ones to get the pizza".This woman was SO unbelievably rude in how she responded, I couldn't believe it. She gave me this very annoyed look, rolled her eyes, made a "Ugh!" sound, and said in a very rude tone as though she thought I was stupid "UH....NO. This is where you PICK UP...."I mean, I was not rude to this woman whatsoever. I waited while she and the man in front of me were talking, I wasn't being rude or huffing and puffing or anything, I was genuinely excited to be getting pizza from there again for the first time in probably 22 years, and even more excited to sort of carry on this middle school "thing" I enjoyed with my own kids. I was enjoying the amazing smell and and the nostalgia. So when she behaved this way, it was quite jarring.I would have said something to her about her rudeness, but didn't want to escalate anything as you never know these days if someone is experiencing a mental health crisis. So i just told her, "oh okay, well we are a couple minutes early so it may not be done yet, just 2 large pizzas for Katie" and she handed me the pizzas without saying another word. My middle schooler is autistic so he didn't pick up on it at all, but my daughter sure did. After we left the counter with our pizzas even my 9 year old daughter said, "Geez! Why was that lady so rude?!"The cashier was super friendly and nice, welcomed me back, said they were glad to have me, etc. She was super sweet. I don't remember her name but she was very young, a teen or very young adult, short, i think her hair was curly but I could be mistaken. I was still so flabbergasted from the other employee's behavior, I can't remember much else. The food was fantastic! Just as I remember. My kids seem to have really liked it too! I want to go back, but truly the last thing I want is to have to deal with undeserved, uncalled for rudeness and disrespect when I'm simply just picking up a couple pepperoni pizzas.ETA: Went back about a week ago and once again, Annette was extremely rude. I was very nice in my tone and said "Hi! Pickup for Katie, please" and again, in the RUDEST tone with this look of absolute disgust on her face she asks, "FOR WHAT?" So i told her, she handed them to me, and didn't say another word.Idky this Annette is SO dang rude to me in her tone, facial expressions, body language. It doesn't make sense.
Tammie Slate: The best cannolis ever
Evangylon Glover-Mayweather: Good pizza
Rose Mary (Rosie): Local classic. Thanks for being here for a quick stop Mediterranean food fix.

Ryan Hanink: Breakfast pizza!
Kimberly Ruby: Fresh and friendly
Daniel Addison: Been going here since I was a kid. The pepperoni rolls and pizza are fabulous. My dad loves the meatball sub.
Diann Smith: Got there about 11:30. Had to wait a few minutes, but so worth it!

T Nehmeh: Great pizza, we get the unbaked, and it's one of the best pizzas in town.
Deborah Freeman: Very friendly Pizza is good. 👍
Daryl Smith: Pepperoni rolls are great and are well known in the neighborhood, however, service is very slow. Also, I called in an order in advance, like ours before, and it wasn’t even ready when I got there. So I ended up having to wait pretty poor service if he asked me for this reason, I’m rating it, the way I am. Also, the place is starting to get to be expensive relatively speaking, I think
Heather Taylor: Awesome pizzaTheir pizza cant be beat and it reheats amazingly
Moe Dirani: Amazing quality, tiramasu, breakfast pizza, meat ball sub, and the antipasta salad were all delicious, according to my friends taste buds and mine. Very neat, hidden gem in Dearborn.

Chris E.: Good pizza, bread, pastries, cookies, etc. Must have the Cannoli. Cheesey bread is a great pasta side. Try a pepperoni roll, or a dinner for two. Very friendly family business that has been enjoyed for decades by many.
Eric: I've passed by this place plenty of time and can't believe I have stopped in before, the food is excellent prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly I will be back!
Nichole Glowinski: I've been going here since I was teenager, they are still the best

Kelvin Littlejohn: Very good pizza also service is very good 👍

john bonapace: Great place to relax and enjoy an espresso and something sweet
Justin Mayer: Amazing selection of delicious pastries. They have a little bit of everything - all of which look and taste amazing!!
Diane Gorsky: Scrumptious! I especially like their French bread, croissants and strawberry tarts. Yum!
Theodore S: The only thing better than the atmosphere is the food!! One the areas hidden gems.
Mark Rogers: Best in the area.
Mary Jane Liddy-Moore: Josef's is PERFECT! PERIOD!
Carol Davis: Ladies behind the counter are somewhat rude.I've had better bread& brownies & Pastries elsewhere.
Norma Botzen: I like the bakery but costumer service not good ,this old lady every time I go keep rushing me,she ask me "anything else "every secondI told her i needed to look to hold down but still rushing,I went to costco to get me my cookies and cake
James Hessler: Excellent food, disorganized service, terrible parking
Zainab: Best bakery around
Fran Ifezue: Great pastries and good coffee.
Tom Stephens: Wonderful bakery! Happened upon it by luck and now it is a destination place for me. Very difficult not to order 2 of each of everything. The staff add to the ambiance. They're always fantastic. So you may ask why not a 5? Each time that I've purchased their quiche or pot pie, the bottom crust always seem to be undercooked. I've cooked them at different temps and different cooking times with the same results. Partially on me, I guess for not asking how should I cook them.Other than that, it is bakery heaven!
Rick Tringali: The cannolis were delicious but a little pricey overall four stars
Jay Peak: The individual black forest, tiramisu and mousse desserts purchased for our anniversary celebration were wonderful. Thanks to the clerk who packaged them for safe travels to the other side of the city. This was my first visit. Loved the atmosphere. Will be back to enjoy other treats and the delicious coffee.
Regan Rodriguez Barachkov: The best in the area. If you have not had the pleasure of this experience, you ARE missing out. Espresso. Pastries. Delicious goodness. This is the patio to be on.
Nick Arminjon: Everything is really good! Great service as well!
Sarah Waelchli: Adorable little bakery...the aroma of sweets n bread baking fill the shop...and all the tasty treats are aligned in the showcases to tempt u...#yummy
Christopher Crossen: Several times recently I did not receive items paid for or they just forgot to pack and didn’t get charged. Today I opened my coffee cake and found they gave me the wrong item. This happens all too frequently. I travel cross town here. Have to find reliable bakery near Birmingham.
Audrey Browner: The bakery was the bomb I enjoyed my sandwich and slice of cheese cake will be back to visit.
Anthony Aquino: I am there quite often and never a disappointment. Friendly staff. AMAZING pastries and cakes.
