Kahuna Howard “Kahuna” Howard: The Best SuShi in the MIDTOWN/Wayne state area. But I was standing awaiting for over 10mins to get a person to take my order. I had to call the phone and ask if someone could come to the front to take my order. " Hi Jack, look up front! I am waving, can you come take our order?" Jack Comes but not a good look. My daughter notice a few things and we had to have a DEIA conversation regarding customer service and gentrification.

Al Young: This place has significantly gone down hill since the last time i was here. Service is really bad, food is mediocre at best on top of being way over priced for what it is, $15 for shrimp tempura is unheard of even in Miami and this isnt even located downtown Detroit. Vibes are okay at least that didnt change.Recommended dishes Bento, Popcorn Lobster Roll …More

The service was top notch, our server was very good she answered all our questions and brought our food to us in a timely manner. Chuck Curtis: GREAT PLACEWould highly recommend
Janette Flores: Their spicy mayo has to be one of the spicies one I've had so far! The food is delicious considering the area it's located. There is no dine-in and their ordering area is extremely small for the amount of business they get. If you are walking to this area there is no waiting area inside so Def recommend taking a seat next to the DIA building while you wait for your food to be ready! But even so the wait time is never long.
Kaia Karamoko: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5More
Jade: Fantastic! Some of the best sushi I've ever had. It looks like take-out only, but there is a small dining area in the building. The flavors were amazing 👏Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Steak Bibimbap, Chicken Katsu, California Roll …More
pearl winstead: onl giving it 2 stars bc it tasted good when i ate it, bro the japchae literally was delicious but it made me uncontrollably throw up in the middle of the night like what the heck is in that...tteokbokki is good tho
Nykia Hudson: Susi rice was mushy and overcooked haven’t been back since maru is a much better quality of sushi if your in the downtown area
Crystal Anderson: Spicy beef udon noodles were awesome as well as the eel and avocado rollFood: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Ahmet Sert: Don't waste your time and money going to this place. It's not cheap and service literally doesn't exist. They make you walk through 3 rooms just to sit you down on a street bench and serve you with foam boxes. The sushi is mediocre, pork chops are cold and they serve you vegetable tempura when you actually order shrimp tempura. Never coming back.
Felicia Calvo: Odd dining setup but great food!
stephanie graves: It's so delicious! Shrimp tempura upon is my fav
Bipasha Jagjeet: Vegetarian options: I like vegan sushi and Wasabi this ones goodFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ariana Mann: Good food and pleasant host. I ordered the yum yum roll
lester finney: I wouldn’t recommend this place to a dog on its death bed. My sushi rolls had over 6 BONES in it. My family got sick for 48 hours after eating this sushi! Worst experience EVER!! Wouldn’t even give them one star but the system makes me.
E Tapia: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Ladybug Jackson: Deliciously spicy California rolls.
Jerrita Hall: Restuarant is not open but food smells good.
Reading IsFundamental: Good food, Large selection!
Zarinah El-Amin: I have NEVER just thrown my food away while still hungry, but that's exactly what I did here. I should have turned around when I saw the way they presented the restaurant and the fact that there was no one else there, and no proper seating, but I decided to give it a try. I was treating my friend for her birthday. I ordered beef bibimbop, one of my fav dishes. She ordered the spicy seafood bibimbop. My lil bit of meat was bland and cold. The rest of the meal unseasoned and room temp. Her dish was spicy but she said it tasted like the shrimp were not clean and that while spicy, it was underseasoned. I literally threw my food away in the "dumpster" they reserve for people who dit down. She didn't want to throw hers away in front of me, but she too stopped eating. $45 down the drain. I didn't think to complain while there or ask for my money back, but later when telling another friend about this horrendous experience, I found out I should have done that. This place is a big fat NO.
에바이안: Pretty interesting lunch today!Take out only!Rolls were fresh and pretty good
Hector M: Good food but they keep raising the prices and not by 1 dollar but by 5 to 6 dollars. Crazy. Wish that wasn't the case would have order from them everyday.

Maru Sushi & Grill: what do users think?
catalina Island: If you actually have had quality sushi, you will not like eating here. The fish is old and it looks and tastes old. Oh, and not only that, but they’re very skimpy on the fish or sushi as well. Most of it is fillers to make it look pretty, but it doesn’t taste good at all. Go to Bloomfield Hills or Rochester Hills where people actually eat a lot of sushi and you will probably get better quality.
Marina Jeffery: Excellent food, great atmosphere, good service. The soju lemonade cocktail was excellent. Chad Price: Thoroughly enjoyed Maru and the stellar service at the bar from Lexi and her colleague who took great care of us. The food was exquisite. Highly recommend the honey garlic shrimp. We'll be back!
Lee Drummond: Very disappointed. The service was very bad. The server was very slow, inattentive, and clueless, and it took over a half hour to get our roll order. The food didn't make up for it either. The fried rice was dog food and the rolls were barely above mediocre.Would not recommend.
Christian MacDonald: Had a great time overall. A very good atmosphere. Our waitress Rose was just a bundle of good vibes and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with questions we had on the menu. Will definitely come back.
Eli Brintlinger: The food was super tasty! Sushi is my favorite and they did a great job. Rose was a delight. She was a great waitress. If get Rose you're in for great service!

Urban Ramen: what do users think?
Joshua Shewmaker: Used to love the place but lately every time I show up they are closed. I check Google every time before I leave but when I get there, the others are off and no one is there
Briana Butler: Not what we expected and way overpriced for what you get. We have eaten at many East Asian restaurants (in Michigan, Chicago, and overseas in East Asia) and the food here was the worst we've ever had. The pork pieces were slightly tender, but no marinated flavor. There was not enough meat for the price and they were burnt; my mother had the same dish, but her pork was completely different (a different cut of meat, which we thought was strange). All broth thicknesses were the same and were EXTREMELY greasy; the liquid sits in the throat and stomach. It tastes like the water from boiled chicken and we had to add our own flavorings at home, but to no avail; we couldn't finish the dish (we always finish our food, waste not want not). The noodles were stuck in a clump and broke into short pieces when I tried to mix it. We also ordered a mini salad; it was overpriced as well and I figured out what was in it just by looking. I could tell it was from a can with a basic mayo sauce; I could make it at home for free. For that quality, it should have been $2 or less, not $4. Overall we were highly disappointed, couldn't finish the broth, and do not recommend this restaurant. It's a shame; we drove 45 minutes because it looked popular :(
Ciara Dixon: Don't taste the same , no flavor at all and taste like spaghetti noodles in the broth
Christopher Loiselle: Good service. Limited menu though. Very small with only a few tables. Crowded on a Friday night.Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes Curbside pickup: No …More
Peter Qu: For 14.5 a bowl of ramen, you would not expect tables with food scraps, broth with minimal/none flavor, and noodles to be still stuck together in a block and barely two mouthful of chicken. Staff was friendly but it was def not worth the price.
Steven: Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: NoMore
Kayla Michelle: Super cozy Ramen place downtown. They only have 3 options (chicken, pork, and vegan) so don't expect a huge menu. We got 1 chicken and 1 vegan, and they were AMAZING. Best ramen ive ever had. 10/10 will be returning here.Restaurant is not super big, so seating is limited (i think there was maybe 5-6 tables total). However, this was not an issue as it seems that most of their business is to-go and not dine in. We were able to get seating immediately at 6/7pm on a friday night. Staff was super nice. I also like that they had actual music playing and not the boring elevator music played in most restaurants.
Buttcrack OfAmerica: I wasted too much money hoping this place could finally get my order right..Lesson learned! Used to be great 3 years ago. People need to stop being nice & shy & instead start giving your money to businesses that deserve it.
Scotty C: Can't be a fair rating right now because they had lost power earlier in the week and had a very very limited menu. Pork ramen was still delicious after I added some of their spicy oil. Nothing to drink but water, Sprite and diet Coke.
Ann.: This restaurant used to be my favorite place for ramen, but we had to avoid it in the past year+ because the food just wasn't the same anymore. I saw the maps update from the owner inviting people to give Urban Ramen another try and got really excited, so we placed an order.Unfortunately, we couldn't eat, both of our broths (paitan, tonkotsu) were a dark brown color and tasted very bitter, something went very wrong in the kitchen, it was kind of bizarre.I tried calling back the restaurant to try and get a refund or have them re-make the order another time, but they turned their phone off, so here we are, stuck with two bowl of unknown brew.Giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because I really hope it can recover and do better, as I said before, I used to love this restaurant, but something very strange is going on even after the supposed management fix.
Barry Wilson: Takeout: YesMore
ava ansari: Update: I got a quick response which I appreciate. Read below. First review: I love this place but I'm frustrated with their DoorDash and Google map marked on closed. I just ordered at the spot. They forgot to put in any meat. I specifically said I want pork belly. The egg and broth is also cold. COVID burdens!
Jerry Li: Excellent soup, noodles and toppings!Dine in: Yes …More
Shey Draw: I wasn’t crazy about the the tonkatsu broth or the chicken broth. They were a little bland. Not the best I’ve had in metro Detroit. 3/5 the real star of the show was the char-Sui pork ribs 10/10 and the red cabbage kimchi 10/10. Would go back for those 2 things!
Penguin P: Used to love this place but the quality has gone soo down and the prices just keep going up. The place is so dirty and the cups they brought to us to pour our water in were dirty and felt greasy. The noodles that day weren't like they used to be and chicken paitan broth lacked flavor:( Also please update your menú if you are no longer offering what's on it, alot of the things on the menú haven't been available for months now. By the reviews I see I am not the only one that has noticed such drastic change so I hope you are taking them into account to better your business or at least bring it back to what it used to be.
Bill Huff: Just not good. To only be open SOME times, this place is not worth the hype. Few options available. The best options were in stock: vegan ramen, tokatsu and the chicken dish. We order edamame and enjoyed it. However the ramen lacked flavor, was served room temperature at an awkward nodle to broth ratio.. i had to vigorously stir the concave cylindrical bowl in order to get some semblance of homogeneity to the broth. And it still wasn't worth the wait, the effort or the $15. Our server was nice but overall, this was a trash bday lunch date. If this was a mom and pop, id never read them this filthy but this is a chain. I ain't gon let them play Detroit dirty like this...and thats on Coleman Young. ....they are clearly using scarcity marketing as a business plan and doing a great dis service to this community by taking up space with this less than mediocre dining option.
ARES PVIN: My noodles were not done in both of my meals which is crazy enough but the wait was over 40 mins plus one of the meals broth wasn’t even seasoned worst 30 spent ever 🤬
しんやま: 激マズ。値上がりもしていて、もう行くことはない。
Terrence: Hours are a joke. Website says open till 10pm. Says here they updated hours 4 days ago open till 9pm. We arrived at 7pm and they’re closed. Back in October they put updates here saying they’re closed that day or that weekend. No updates at all. Seems just completely arbitrary. May be worth it if you happen to be passing by, but don’t make a trip to come here.
Justin Simmons: Had the paitan ramen with char sui pork. Will definitely come back for more.
eric son of Lauren: Small portions and utterly flavorless. I’ve never had ramen bad, instant would have tasted better

Noodle Art: what do users think?
Rory: This restaurant isn't there anymore.
Andrew Kirkegaard: They're closed permanently. Never reopened after the pandemic. This page really needs to be updated. My hangry wife was pissssed lol. But we got some apps and a drink at Prism steakhouse so I didn't die that night.
Melissa Warner-Talcott: Noodle Art is not there any longer, it is now turning into Urban Cocktail. It must have closed during COVID. I'm super sad because it looked really good.
Sandy: I’ve been there precovid! This is located inside of greektown casino. Love this place. We got a den/big booth in a corner and really enjoyed with fam. food was great- ramen and mochi was on point!
De Andre McGhee: Go during happy hour, great prices.
Cindy Carey: My spouse and I wanted a bite before exploring the city. I had a Asahi beer and my spouse had a Yuzo Mule, which was very good. We shared a Steak Tataki which was great and a nice portion. The drinks were 1/2 price during happy hour. You can’t go wrong with any of the spicy Japanese Raman Noodles. My advice is to ask your waitress or waiter for some advice on what recommendation they would suggest for you. The pot stickers are a great starter FYI. I could literally eat here every day.
Sandy Osten: Not open 😞😞
Aaron Smith: Good service and great food.
euchrexking: The food and service were incredible. I smashed this amazing fried rice, and I can honestly say it was the best meal I'd eaten in months.
Ms. McGee: Delicious. Nice atmosphere and great service.
S Fradl: Awesome restaurant. Definitely would go back. Tried a couple different appetizers and dishes. They were all great. The photo is their smoked pork belly & pineapple fried rice. Our server was a bit slow and forgot things even when the place was not yet busy but I'd give the restaurant itself the 5 stars.
Michelle Mackey: Large portion for what you pay? Perfect
Darrell T: Great place to grab some great noodles.
Barbara Stacey: Actuall the corn beef rolls were great ordered with the sweet chile sauce not the hot mustard sauce. But the shrimp noodles were awful but the shrimp we ate. So we were still hungry when we left. I don't like much of the food at Greektown. MGM has great food and give you better comps.
Scott: Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere
Kena Shaw: 👌
Stephanie Gracey: Not enough staff. Maybe because of the holiday. Took awhile to be seated. Ordered quick but waited much too long for the food to come to the table. It was hot and really good. Good portion for the price. I will try it again and hope for better service.
Wonwoo Lee: Solid food and a beautiful space! Great for a date night or happy hour with coworkers.Went here for a date with the lady, and had a great ramen and drunken noodles. About $18-25 per head for food only (without drinks).
Rosalind Dickey: Love this place!
Jaroslav Pouzar: Best ramen in the whole metro area
Aly Senters: Super yummy pho!!! My fiancé had the spicy ramen and he really liked it!

Tiffany Damle: The food was completely tasteless. We ordered a spicy tuna roll, salmon roll, avocado roll, and miso soup, and ALL of it was terrible. The rolls were small and lacked any flavoring, sauces or distinction. The miso soup was like water. Also, they don't send wasabi or ginger unless you ask (but, who would think you'd have to ask for these things?). After spending $40.00, we are now going to order a pizza. Disappointing considering this place had pretty good review. Not sure what they were eating.

George Viju: One of the best ramen restaurant in Detroit! The ambience was okay but the food was amazing. The service was good they had really good recommendation on tweaking the dishes to match my taste. The desert was okay.
Hailey Nader: Food was okay, the chicken bites was what saved it. Got ramen but i asked to switch for the rice noodles since im gluten free and they bring it out full of rice lol. It wasnt great but my friends ate it for me since i dont like to complain and send things back. The waiter was only over once to take our order and once to bring the check.Food: 3/5|Service: 1/5Recommended dishes Fried Chicken Bites …More

Benihana: what do users think?
Hawraa Nagi: We had gone as a date night for the hibachi table. Called and reserved for 8 and arrived 10 mins early only to be told that seating is not until 8:15. We were seated and drinks ordered. They arrived promptly. However by 9:10 the chief had not come out to our table. Place smelled bad. Services was not good. Sushi Appetiser were disgusting. There was a straight dollop of regular mayonnaise on top of the sushi. Wasted a date night and gave a bad taste in the mouth. Will not be going again can’t believe people come here to celebrate.
Eddie Tawil: They tried their best
Bre Newell: I am from out of town and arrived today at 11:30. I was advised I couldn't dine in because I didn't have a reservation.
John Campbell: Have been dining at this location (Dearborn) for over 20 years. Over the last 7 yrs or so, this location has really declined. What used to be such a nice dining experience has really turned into an overpriced dump. The waitresses the last few times have all been sub-par. They are poorly trained with very little knowledge of the drink menu. Our waitress didn't knew what a seltzer was. For years, you would see the same staff and patron faces when you went to this location. Now, you do not even need a reservation. We last went on a Thursday evening at 630 pm. There were only 2 tables occupied. When ordering or meals, we asked for additional chicken fried rice to go, we were told by our waitresses that after we cash out, we can go to carryout and order/pay separately. Never, in over 25 dining experiences at this location, have we ever been told this. They ALWAYS just make it with our meal and add it to our bill. After spending $200 for 3 outstanding meals (food still prepared great) and cocktails, we had to wait 25 mins for our carryout of (3) chicken fried rice. While we waited at a dirty table in the sushi bar, we noticed kitchen staff and wait staff sitting around the filthy sushi bar area mingling amongst each other using profanity and being obnoxious. After spending $230, we grabbed our carryout and swore to never come back. I will now travel 50 mins to the Benihana Northville location. From what I understand, that location still has the Benihana gold standard. Giving 1 star because the food was still delicious

Shelly Jones: The service was HORRIBLE. The guy cooking did everything wrong. Put food not ordered on plates, he had to keep going in the kitchen for forgotten food, cooked rice last, cooked everything one at a time. We had to ask for our sauces. No little tricks. Visiting from another state WILL NEVER visit again.
Robert Watkins: The service was ok but the cook was the boom the food was soooo good he said on mother's day he's the trainer for the cook staff so maybe that's why idk but the food was great I'll be back with familyFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Surf Side Entree with 2 Chicken Fried Rice, Our Table, Garlic Butter, Hibachi Steak Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More

areej kadhim: Food was great chef was amazing but I had to ask the waitress a couple of times for the same things, then when I finally got my drink it had a fly in it!! I then called her over and returned it, we didn’t get a comp or anything for the gross inconvenience (especially since I took a sip 🤮) but just got the drink removed as I didn’t drink it, feel like they could have showed more hospitality for this and been more accommodating!! Last thing someone wants to sip is a gnat. Especially considering it was a birthday celebration.

John Cieslowski: This restaurants best days are behind it. Felt dingy and run down a bit. Some of the staff seemed upset to be there abd generally had a negative vibe. Luckily our host and cook were both phenomenal. I felt lucky and sorry for the other tables I saw that weren't getting the good service we were. Food was delicious. I will definitely be back but I wish they'd do some more updating or something to make it feel a little more luxury.
