And the band… BRAVO!!!! The servers were attentive and the host made you feel welcome as soon as you walk in.. i will definitely return!!!

Tsawsntua Ly: Hands down... the WORST bbq ive ever had in my life. Spent $55 on 3 meals. Rib tip dinner, it was cold with so many hard pieces. Drowned in a nasty bbq sauce. Half chicken dinner it was still cold but the skin was burnt. I can tell it was pre made from the night before and just thrown onto the grill for 'char'. Mac and cheese was going bad from being pre-made and not stored or warmed properly, curdled up and started to split. Use a roux next time. Stop skipping steps. Beans are soaking in a bland sauce. Green beans are frozen and thrown into a cup. Polish sausage is just an ekrich kielbasa on bread with soggy onions. Ive never been so disappointed in my life. Especially when theres some fat guy in the back yelling about having the best bbq. The 1 star is for the nice waitresses. Im gonna save you the trouble of posting pictures to expose you. Please get a new chef. Please do something about the food IMMEDIATELY.

Ebonie Drayton: I stopped by Bert’s with my sister and brother for a bite to eat after shopping, we were born and raised in Detroit and had never been to Bert’s . The grilling outside is how they get you, buyer beware!! The rib tips are DRY, TOUGH and LACKS seasoning, any smoke or grilled TASTE associated with bbq is NONEXISTENT , the bbq sauce tastes like ketchup and the coleslaw was GARBAGE. We DINED IN and had to PAY $2 for water, for some reason it wasn’t complimentary like every restaurant I have been in my whole life. We waited for an hour in a completely empty restaurant for our food, my brother asked for hot sauce and received 1 packet of hot sauce. The items are OVERPRICED and the food is very DISAPPOINTING. I would NOT RECOMMEND this establishment to anyone. EVER!!!

Plump Princess: I wish I had taken a picture. Highly don’t recommend the Chicken Caesar salad. I guess I should’ve asked was it grilled or fried chicken. Turns out it was chopped fried HARD pieces of chicken, fried so hard it blended in with the croutons. Popcorn Chicken bites maybe. It was a gamble in each bite. Waited so long I didn’t want to order anything else. Everyone else’s food was amazing.

Michele Jordan: Ok, went here for the vibe, we love sitting out on the patio having an adult beverage, listening to the music and people watching; always a good time. I was looking forward to the BBQ today, haven’t had it in a while. We ordered a hot sausage, it was undercooked, hardly any char on it, and the bun was soggy from the sauce. We had to ask for another sausage as well as another bun. The first ribs we ordered were over cooked, the second set of ribs were a bit undercooked. I understand that it’s busy in the spring/summer months, however, that is no reason to give customers uncooked food. I prefer quality over quantity any day, just praying we don’t get sick… we also witnessed the cook wiping his head with a sweat rag, luckily he wasn’t touching the food with his bare hands, he did use utensils and had gloves at certain points. They seriously need a portable sink for proper hand cleanliness for all working with food out there. We saw another person in back eating a sausage. Like come on! We will go back for the music and drinks but it’s a no for the food…oh and almost $30 for what we ordered, unbelievable..

Bianca Williams: This place was the perfect for a date night! It was small and intimate which I loved! They offer live jazz which is why I had to try this place out. The performer for the evening Dave Bennett was worth seeing. This was my first time visiting this restaurant and my evening was amazing. You do have to make a reservation for seating. When you get there seating is first come first serve (with a reservation). The appetizers came out first. I tried their Tenderloin Burnt Ends which were perfectly cooked and came on a glaze that offered a sweet taste. Next was their Crab Cakes which were good (I wished they were a little crispy and had more flavor) so I wouldn’t order again. They offered complimentary bread and butter. I tried their tomato bisque which was delicious, the butter that with that bread was good (it was butter with herbs). I had also tried their house salad, it was just salad.For my meal I had their Salmon Fillet. It came with Fingerling Potatoes and Asparagus. The top of the Salmon Fillet was crisp, and it offered lots of flavor. (Pictured is their Chicken Protein Bowl, I didn’t tried this but my spouse said all the flavors came together well). I give this place a 5/5. The atmosphere was very nice, it had a very classy vibe. I cannot wait to visit again, our server Paul was also great and on the job.

Jovan Misovski (Johnny): I’m still thinking about what happened and I’m still not entirely sure what to make of it.We walked in, saw many available seats at the bar, headed to the bar, and were almost immediately ushered out on the premise of “we are reservation only and fully booked”.The other 3 in my party immediately assumed we were not allowed entry because of our appearance. I understand this is unfortunately still a thing, but if that were the case… how very pretentious this venue must be. I did notice people were all dolled up. Perhaps a visible dress code should be listed somewhere, if this was the case.On the other hand, they may have been genuine and they may have truly been fully booked due to the show. It sure didn’t look that way, and I’ve not heard of a venue taking reservations for bar seating. Perhaps they truly do? 🤷‍♂️ Regardless, it left quite the bad taste in my mouth, as it’s obviously still on my mind today.I can’t say anything about the venue offerings since I was unable to experience it, but I can say the staff and overall atmosphere did not come across as genuine or friendly.
