I was able to find almost every song I searched for - even the non-mainstream/more obscure ones. Set up was super easy and Steve was personable AND flexible with pickup and drop off times. Cost was reasonable. I would definitely rent again!

Prior to the event date, Steve was always very professional and responsive to all of my many, many questions (since I was nervous because I had never used a Karaoke system before). He arrived promptly, set-up equipment and lights. He was patient in demonstrating how to use the equipment. Steve took the time needed to ensure we had a clear understanding on how to operate the equipment before he left. Thanks Steve!

Michael Davis: Wedding was supposed to start at 5:30pm. PT showed up after 5:30 with chairs. Set up done Bout 6:10. Wedding had to be shortened by 45 minutes. Less photos, less dancing, less wedding. Not recommended
liyah benson: I used this rental service for my open house and got the 30×20 tent (6) 6ft tables and 50 black fold out chairs. It was great we called and the lady who answered the phone was pleasant and helpful, quickly made our reservation and when the delivery day came the pulled up and set up the tent. We asked they set the chairs and table to the side and they obliged. The tent was sturdy and held up during a rain storm and the chairs, an tables were in great condition! My event went smoothly and when the pick up date came they pulled up and and packed away the tent and chairs (in the rain to boot!) And our deposit was returned. I highly recommend this place! There prices weren't through the roof and everything was in good quality.

Natalie: Rented tables and chairs that we had to pick up and drop off ourselves because they didnt have enough delivery drivers. Was not charged any less. 2 of our 6 umbrella bases wouldnt hold water because they had holes in them. Chair hardware was rusted and we weren't able to use several of the chairs for fear that they may buckle once sat in. Chairs also needed cleaning, the whiteness was very dull. Cleaned with cleaner/bleach. We over ordered, so it was fine. Upon opening umbrellas (for umbrella tables) one had a piece fall right out. Upon returning, I told them what happened. They check the umbrellas anyway and saw what I was referring to. I was told I'd have to pay $60 to replace the broken umbrella. I then used that as an opportunity to let them know, their equipment was old and unreliable anyway. She claimed she checked the umbrellas before she gave them to us, so they had to have broken in the wind on our end. In conclusion, unreliable OLD equipment, poor customer service.

The owner just called me to argue with me saying that his tent was in perfect condition & refused to compensate me! I’m never looking for a full refund but this was the worst service iv ever had! Look at this tent! I had wet guest & soaked tables & chairs! I’m beyond upset! Make sure to share & inform your friends & family not to use this company!

Michael Doyle: We hired Great Lakes Tent Co for a “heated” tent connected to our venue for a cocktail hour, during a January winter wedding. It was an absolute disappointment to see all our guests in winter jackets during the cocktail hour, in an non-enclosed and non-heated tent. Additionally, this tented patio space was supposed to be connected to the venue for constant guest flow back and forth during the entirety of the reception, but our venue had to keep the garage door closed throughout the evening to keep guests warm. This also discouraged guests from using the additional trailer bathrooms outside since it involved opening a garage door. We further learned this posed significant issues for our caterer with the logistics of keeping their prepared food warm for the guests. This company was a complete letdown to us and absolutely did NOT deliver the service that was expected or contracted for. Their response to the issue was that we could have called an emergency hotline and someone would have been there to fix the issue, which was not known by us, the venue or our day of coordinator. Their refund was minuscule compared to the cost of the tent, which served no purpose whatsoever and was a complete waste of money. To contrast, if any one would hire a tent company during the summer and expect it to keep their guests dry or out of the sun, you would expect that as a basic function of the tent. I would highly discourage anyone from using Great Lakes Tent Co and they should be removed from any preferred vendor list in the Metro Detroit area.
Ryan Doyle: We utilized Great Lakes Tent Co. to provide a heated tented area for our cocktail hour ahead of our wedding reception in late January in Detroit. Unfortunately, the tent that was provided was mistakenly not fully enclosed, and as such, our guests were cold and had to wear winter coats during the cocktail hour. After spending the amount we did on the tent service, we were quite disappointed that we did not receive what we had paid for. We informed Great Lakes Tent Co. of the mistake/error and they were gracious to offer us a small partial refund due to the mistake, however the refund was miniscule in comparison to the amount we spent on our event when considering the significant mistake that was made.

Z.: I highly would NOT recommend Don and his company... I was very excited to have them do my engagement party but clearly they are not organized enough or care about their customers. I am not sure where things went wrong but basically:- I emailed in June for an October event - gave him the package I wanted and area.. Etc.- My emails were ignored a couple times but I figured it okay because we had communicated and confirmed an appointment- the DAY OF our site consultation, I get a call saying nothing is booked but my name is written for a site consultation but he is unsure what for... I refreshed his memory by referring him back to the email which he then got very defensive and claimed he does not have the 40x40 tent available so last minute (now September)- He claimed to be very busy by COVID which is understandable but never apologized once for any inconvenience... Instead blamed it on me... these are a couple "reasons" why he didn’t book my date.- “he wasn’t sure I knew what I wanted"- "I never put down a deposit" (not once was I asked AT all for a deposit... I would’ve love to pay in June, July or August!)- “It wasn’t clear if I was certain on the day or package I wanted”- “I did not confirm that I wanted that day booked prior to my site consultation”Honestly, all it would have taken was for Don to apologize about the mishap and TRIED to find an alternative or solution. Instead, I had to BEG him to basically still come to the appointment to see if there is another tent that would work or what the options are. I have never felt so helpless before, Don came to my house.. was very demeaning and acted like he was very annoyed for me not fully understanding because he was so vague and short when I was trying to get his “experienced” opinion on lay out and seating.. He acted like I was an idiot whenever I presented different options or had a question… sorry that I don’t pitch tents and do events for a living?To make matters even worse, he kept trying to find any and every little thing to not be able to do my event. I have a branch sized plant that stands 3 feet in the center front and he refused to have it under the tent. He claimed he can only use an area that was entirely flat and no bumps… the branch would not have even been anywhere near the poles or the siding but he did not want to work with me at all clearly. Not sure whether he felt a certain way because he had made a mistake with my event but he was very rude and sarcastic whenever I asked a question. It was disgusting.I was actually going to rearrange my entire engagement party so I did not have to deal with Don and his company again. Thank god, Franks Special Tents was available and I have booked with them! Frank is so kind, helpful, accommodating and actually CHEAPER than TPRC for the same equipment and service. I do not feel comfortable supporting this man and his business when there are many more professional companies around!See below:

I confused my pickup date and called the after hours number (they are closed on weekends) and someone got in touch with me right way to arrange pickup even though they were closed (i rented an inflatable for a birthday party). It was a hit the kids loved it and it came with everything needed to run it. good working condition. the only problem i had was they did not have room to deliver to me (may be my fault because i rented last minute). would rent from them again.

We rented the 20 foot birthday cake for my mother in laws birthday, birthdays are special and there is not much you can do with covid so what better way then to wake up with a 20’ cake on your front lawn. James S.: I hate writing this review because I love this place. I don't know what is going on but they are constantly out of supplies. I was in last week and the shelves are mostly bare. I purchased my machine here eight years ago and always try and spend money locally. It is well past time to blame the pandemic for supply issues. I can get nearly everything easily from other sources but prefer to buy locally. It seems like the newer owners lack the capital to stock supplies. I understand why the former owner had to go but I think we need some new investors or owners for this place.
Derek Illis: Dropped popcorn machine off 10 days ago for a repair. Have tried to call to at least get an update 10+ times now with either no answer, or when someone does pick up, they place you on hold for 15-20+ endless until you hang up. Common courtesy to at least update customers with where you are at in the process, feel like you are dodging calls. Haven't even been given a quote for the repair yet. Maybe this will reach someone to get this handled?
J C: Rented a soft serve machine from Detroit Popcorn for a grad party. Machine was a hit at the party. Detroit Popcorn made it so easy. Fair price, had the mix to buy on site, too. Got a tutorial and written instructions from the staff. Staff was so helpful and accommodating. Appreciated the popcorn bags, too. Highly recommend Detroit Popcorn!

Lauren Taulbee: I ordered a tin of popcorn for my dad for Christmas, my grandma (his mom) used to always get him a tin of popcorn every Christmas and I thought it would be a great gift to keep her spirit alive and incorporate his Detroit roots. I ordered very late in December so it didn’t arrive until this week but he was still so happy when it did arrive and was very impressed with how well it was packaged to ensure freshness, also he said it tastes absolutely delicious! I will 100% order again but ensure I give enough time for processing and shipping.
Tiffany Kaldobsky: Popcorn is great but unless you tell them the amount of popcorn you need in pounds when buying large quantities, they will over sell you. I gave the amount I needed in standard cup sizes and they said I needed 3 large bags (3 lbs). I hadn’t seen the bags before so I trusted them. Turns out I only used ONE bag (actually not even the full bag) and they wouldn’t let me return the other two and couldn’t offer me any solutions for the future. Terrible customer service.

I know that she can speak because she was perfectly friendly and helpful to the two white people who walked in after me. Now I know why Amazon is getting all of the other schools' business. ZERO STARS.
Karen Bem: I order Popcorn in June 2021 via the website.After over a month without hearing anything about my order I reached out via email to inquire. I never received a response to my inquire but finally the popcorn showed up on my porch approximately 6 weeks after ordering.The boxes are clearly marked expired as of March 2021. Reached out again regarding the expired popcorn and how to move forward with getting a replacement. Over a month has gone by and still no answer.I will not be purchasing from this store ever again. It’s a shame as they used to have great products and service.

Donna Kennedy: I went to an Open House at this establishment. It was small on the inside, but very clean. Bathroom was very clean. It didn't have a kitchen area or a microwave, but counter space was adequate. It was enough space to set up a small table to put a few food items on. The outside space was well maintained. Probably more picnic tables could be available as well as better outdoor chairs. To me these were small dings. A great place to have a function.

Great customer service in ordering (they even waived our deposit fee), the delivery/set up guy was incredibly nice and efficient, and the pick up was on time and smooth. Excited to know about this company now after moving to the area!!!

Samantha Holcomb: I received great service from this company and the staff was extremely polite, especially the office! I do have one minor complaint. I was informed they were busy the weekend of my party and were short staffed which I completely understand! They ended up letting me keep the bounce house for 2 extra nights free of charge! I was kept informed through the whole process! Which is why i was shocked to learn there were 2 employees in my backyard without me knowing! They never contacted me prior to picking up the equipment. My gate was blocked so they even had to move stuff out of the way to get in. This is the only reason I did not rate 5 stars. BUT, all in all I was satisfied with this company and would use them again and still recommend them!

Kelley Hopkins: We rented the Frozen bounce house for my daughters 3rd birthday this past weekend. Reservation was for Saturday the 12th from 2-8. When I called on Friday to pay the balance, Brandie asked if they could deliver it later on Friday due to being down a truck. Had to arrange a few things but that was fine. They got there about 645pm and set it up with no problems. I was told they would pick it up after 8pm on Saturday...again, not a problem. They ended up not picking up u til sometime Sunday morning. Kids absolutely loved it and I would definitely rent another one!!!!

Madison Kathawa: I rented one of their water slides for my little cousins to finish out the summer with a bang. Just a few issues I would like to note. When I called to rent I spoke with both Katelyn and Brandie. They were really sweet, answered any questions I had and worked with me even when I needed to move the initial date due to inclement weather. I was told over the phone that the day of I would receive a call from the workers letting me know when they were on their way. My renting time was 1pm-7pm. They arrived around 12:30pm (which was great!), however they did not call before hand, regarding when they would arrive. Also, we weren't sure if they were from Jokers 4 Fun as they pulled up in a regular pick-up truck with a trailer attached that had no logo. We assumed they were regular lawn mowers until they went straight into my aunts backyard without ever ringing the front door or notifying me they had arrived. They started scoping out the area to set up without talking to me first, which I was a little unsettled by. Nonetheless they set it up with no problems and they did it really fast which was fantastic. I was told over the phone that they sanitize it after they set it up, however I had to ask them to do so otherwise they wouldn't have. They set it up so that is was right near the drain in the backyard, which we appreciated, however that left it kind of tilted to one side. I've attached a photo of it, you can see in the photo that its a bit tilted to the right. One of the gentlemen who was setting up, brought up this point to his team member and were talking back and forth about it for a few minutes. They didn't really see eye to eye, so they set it up by the drain still. I figured they knew best so I did not say anything. The slide also had a 1 foot deep pool at the bottom, but no matter what we did, it would not deflate and kept puffing up, making it difficult for anyone who came down. The parts of the slide that were held on by velcro also kept lifting, so we were constantly adjusting them. We had a blast using it and were done before our scheduled end time at 7. I was told they would pick it up between 7-8, however they did not come until after 9. Overall the kids had a blast and we enjoyed the water slide despite the little bumps we had!
Lauren Alcantara: Workers showed up three hours late and my party was only able to jump for two hours. My friend told me she ordered the wet and dry one but when it got here they told us no water is allowed to be on it. Then charged us extra for having a few pieces of candy left in it. Texted me extremely rude messages super unprofessional. Worst experience ever. Will not use again.
Rena F: I have used jokers about 6 times in the past 4 years.. I have rented a ton of the bounce houses, concessions, petting zoo, ponies, face painters, etc. I will say that with any issue (which were very few) they have always rectified it. The staff in and out of the office are absolutely wonderful to work with and a true example of who I would want running my business.. Anytime I ever need a rental, this is the only place I will call and have recommended..
