Kimora Petroff: I have a surgery a day appointment coming up they did two of my teeth and I had a pleasant experience I'm very excited to be coming back to get the rest of my wisdom teeth pulled out I had a low tolerance for pain so they pulled out too it's been 2 years later because of covid and things like that so I'm excited to be finally going back to get the rest of my wisdom teeth pulled out I'm in a lot of pain a lot of pressure but other than that I'm really excited

Natacha Mendez Arocho: On June 2019 I went to get a mass removed from my jaw , that was cause do they remove my wisdom teeth a month in a part. I went to my appointment paid $125 bc my insurance didn’t cover , the dentist that saw me said was going to be a procedure of 20 minutes that turn to be more then hour, I left the place without mastication for pain or antibiotics bc they said I didn’t need them. Same day my partner ask why I was crying and why they didn’t give me anything for pain or to prevent an infection and all they told him was give her Tylenol witch I’m allergic to. Next day I have severe swollen face in pain cost me not able to work , I have called there office many time left voicemails 3 day in a roll calling then and no one hesitate to call back , I still have proof of the calls pictures of my face and also end up in ER with a infection for 4 days . I even went to there office before I got hospitalized on a Friday staff person on front didn’t care and said they where no dentist in the office and only give me a paper that if that number don’t answer to just go to ER. They don’t care , they never responded to my call out called back to follow up with me. So unprofessional I lost many days of work my salary was affected by unprofessional people in this click . Is be year now and I still have problems on my jaw , suffer with pain until now. Don’t recommend this clinic to no one .

sarah: They’re great! I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and it was such a pleasant experience. They made me feel comfortable, the entire staff was very kind and friendly. They discussed the procedure prior and called for a check up after the procedure and then scheduled an in person check up as well. They’re very speedy, I arrived on time and was taken in, in about 10 minutes max. Definitely recommend!

DJ Dena: I was there yesterday October 19th and the temporary bridge came out and it also happen back on Sept 7th (mind you me they never called back until yesterday appointment) the STAFF doesn't answer the phone nor return calls plus this is the 2nd time this has happened. I would of spent my money somewhere else like a REAL dentist office to where they answer and return calls an try to get you in without giving someone the should of do list especially on the money I spent at that damn place!!!! Michael 1470: I went here after another poodentist messed me up so bad when she pulled 31 teeth at one time and she left all kinds of bones in My gums so st John had to cut my gums open a shave down all the bone on the top and bottom. They did a great job. They made my dentures but I havnt went for a adjustment and my dentures will not stay in my mouth and they make me gag and I can't stand it ! So I'm going for a adjustment next month and hope they can fix them. I want implants with the dentures that I have. I need to find out price. So I'm editing my post because I never went for the adjustment because things happened I'm not getting into but as l looked at this post I wrote a year ago it says it funny because today I'm going for my adjustment. Lol...when I'm done I will let everyone know how it went.

As a person to go from private insurance to Medicaid, I realized a lot of Medicaid providers give poorer quality of care. But not St John, they did absolutely amazing. To making me comfortable, to suturing my up afterwards, to having the customer care of calling afterwards and setting up a post-op checkup. It really makes you feel cared for. Another perk, is that the facility is super clean too! Everyone is friendly rather than cranky (like most of Detroit), just spot on. My husband and I were truly impressed. Would recommend it to everyone!

I had a horrible traumatic experience previously at a clinic that pulled one of my wisdom teeth that put me off of getting the rest of my teeth pulled for years (even though they've been painful and causing me much pain). Finally I scheduled an appointment here and had my top two wisdom teeth pulled. I had anxiety going in and was so nervous. The surgeon and others on staff listened to me when I expressed my concern about not wanting anesthesia anymore and agreed to do a local anesthetic instead. I was in and out in an hour and a half. My teeth were pulled in about two minutes time. I couldn't believe it! Last time I was in horrible pain following my surgery that lasted well over a week. This time my pain is so minimal I'm using ibuprofen only and that's enough to keep the dull pain away. I am so grateful, I've had nothing but a good experience here and would recommend this place and in particular this surgeon was caring and made me feel safe. Thanks again!

It's been almost two weeks since they took a copay from my girlfriend who happens to have a vp shunt in her brain that carries fluid to her stomach. I checked with the insurance company and she hasn't sent the paperwork to get it authorized. We were there on the 24th of September. She said she would expedite the paperwork because of my girlfriend's condition. All it takes is a simple fax. She's totally unprofessional. And I want my dam money back

No aftercare was provided whatsoever, and I ended up with a hematoma because of how my novacane injection was administered. Stitches on one side of my mouth were done very poorly causing my healing process to be even more difficult.

Ronda Morrison: This office is a butcher shop. I have spent over $30,000 with this dentist and all of the work that he has done is insufficient and falling apart. My mouth is so raggedy now that whatever gum infection he claimed I had was better than this raggedy set of implants that I have been paying for for 5 years. All they do there a smile and act like they are your friend, but in the background the lady that runs the office Lori is looking for ways for new creditors to extend you credit so that they can run straight through it. Regardless how long he has been a dentist, the reputation that he used to have in 1970, is no longer the reputation Dr Kegler has in the 2000s.

Zoe Cade: A terrible experience that I am still paying for!!! Dr Kaigler caused more problems than I initially had. I needed my two front teeth stabilized and my gaps closed. He didn't stabilize my two front teeth, they are still loose! I have spaces in between my teeth where gum tissue is supposed to be. He place a crown on one tooth incorrectly, and now I have pain in all of the teeth he worked on. Whenever I call the facility they tell me that Dr kaigler will get back with me, he never has. I have infections due to faulty dental work and other dentist want to remove all of the teeth he worked on. Please do not go here, my teeth are ruined.

Pamela Hamilton: I love Dr. K and staff. As a child, I was a patient of Dr. Perkins at this same address. Matter of fact, my grandparents, parents, aunts uncles and cousins went there. It's just ironic that I meet back up w Dr Perkins where he was n rehab and I was his nurse. Anyway Dr. K and his wife (very beautiful, humble couple, whom I admire) made sure we were taking good care of him, cause 1 if them visited everyday. I spoke to them of my fams history w Dr Perkins, its a small world. So I went to Dr K for dental work. I panicked at the 1st visit and ran. 2nd visit Dr K and staff took very goid care of me. I recommend Dr. K to anyone that needs any kind of dental work.

Annie T: I wish I left a review when this happened in 2016.Got my wisdom teeth removed (fully knocked out under anesthesia) here in 2016 by Dr. Hackenberger.Ended up with TMJ directly after the procedure.Never experienced TMJ at all before this.For 2 years I dealt with my jaw locking shut.My jaw still clicks and pops out of place.I complained about this (in 2016) and Dr. Hackenberger fully DENIED any responsibility in causing this issue for me. I was told the surgery couldn’t cause TMJ.Wisdom teeth removal can absolutely cause TMJ.TO THIS DAY (6 years later) I’m still dealing with the repercussions (TMJ) of the surgery.

Also there was zero follow up after surgery - no check in after to ask how I was doing. I wouldn’t go back for the other wisdom teeth if they also needed extraction.

Dr came in explained what he was about to do. He gave me medication that numbed my gums. As I was waiting for dr to return a person from the office came in and asked for payment or I wouldn’t have extraction done. I asked why wasn’t this told to me before even doing any work on my mouth. She agreeded that I should have been told. This was not acceptable to me and felted that because my mouth was numbed and was stressed because if the procedure I wrote a check which was not in my budget. I will never have work done at this facility again.

Neither of which knew how to treat this problem (lichen planus).By chance, I consulted with Dr. Robert Felsenfeld, also an oral surgeon located in Dearborn, Michigan. This doctor explained to me that he was familiar with this painful condition. I agreed to try his treatment plan. Very glad I did!Today my mouth is completely free of the painful lesions caused lichen planus! Dr. Felsenfeld certainly deserves a 5 star+ rating from this patient!! Helmy: Dr. Felsenfeld’s experience and professionalism was remarkable. I asked him what the procedure felt like and he assured me that I won’t feel a thing. I remember the procedure very clearly. As soon as I got on that chair they gave me laughing gas to help relax me and calm me down. I won’t lie I was a little nervous but the laughing gas helped calm my nerves down. Then they poked the top of my hand with an ivy for the anesthesia. A few seconds later… boom, lights out. All I remember after that was the nurses waking me up saying hey ur all set. It felt like a dream. A very pleasant one because my wisdom teeth have been bothering me for a while. It was finally over with and I don’t have to think about them for the rest of my life. I didn’t feel any pain after as my face was completely numb. The feeling was similar to getting numb before a filling but instead of a portion of your cheek being numb, my whole cheek, chin and jaw was numb. This definitely helped a lot with the pain. I was given pain meds that I used for a little bit a few hours after the operation since I have high pain tolerance. It was mostly to help me be pain-free before I slept. I was also given anti bacterial medication to defend from infections. If anyone has their wisdom teeth and needs to have them surgically removed, I promise you this is the surgeon that you want to do it for you. One million percent. If you see this review doc, thank you for operating on me today. I was not looking forward for this procedure at all, but you made it a pleasant and easeful operation.

Rose G: Called to make an appointment for TMJ as I was referred to this office/Felsenfeld by my primary dentist. I was told by the lady whom answered the phone that Felsenfeld does not specialize nor does TMJ work. I found that very odd because it clearly states on there website as of November 21, 2022 that the Dr. Felsenfeld specializes in TMJ with a list of potential treatments the Dr would use to correct the issue. Another reason I thought the receptionist saying that this Dr. doesn't treat TMJ was weird is because when I called back in August 2022 whomever I spoke to at that time was ready to schedule me an appointment for my TMJ, but I declined due to the appointment being several months out. I will be reporting this Dr. and this office for false advertisement/practices of treatment ( yes I saved the information from the website as proof.) However, something tells me that the receptionist was being dishonest to me for whatever reason which is very sad.
