National RV Detroit: what do users think?
John Smentowski: Anthony and the National crew were outstanding. The staff were so accommodating from the front of the house to the back. These guys and gal's rock. They got our camper ready for our camping trip in one day. There's nothing like this team. They Rock. If your looking for an upgrade on your RV this is the place to go. Ask for Anthony. Thanks for the great team service.
Professor Michael: They will definitely go to bat for you and their sales guy Tony handled everything exactly the way I wanted. Hands down. Best experience in the market.
Andy Ruzzin: I attempted to buy a $125,000 5th wheel at National RV, they don't deal on price compared to nearly everyone else. If you want to PAY SIGNIFICANTLY MORE AND GET SIGNIFICANTLY LESS FOR YOUR TRADE, these are your guys. In fact, when I attempted to verbally share competitive pricing from other dealers they told me to buy elsewhere, they never even attempted to make a deal or tell me the best they could do, I think that tells you all you need to know. YES you read that right, the salesman told me "don't bother coming here, we don't sell RVs at those prices". It's rare when a salesman tells you to go elsewhere because you competitively shopped them. I gave them 1-star because zero was not possible. BTW my credit score is 800+ and yearly income is $200k so I am a well qualified buyer. Most everywhere else offered better deals, Terrytown, Bishes, General RV, Camping World, Lazy Days. I bought mine at TerryTown in Grand Rapids.
Heather RN: We had a unique situation with a replacement claim due to our previous Zinger camper getting destroyed in a recent tornado. Steve in sales was great with picking up the ball from a mess of confusion from our claims adjuster and other factors. Joe in finance was great at explaining the paperwork and warranties. Chris and Carl in the service department was excellent in setting up our camper and answering all the questions we had with our hitch and prepping the camper for the road. The ladies in the parts store were very welcoming and pleasant. We purchased our original Zinger from the big well known RV store and we refused to go back due to once we signed on the bottom line there was no follow through with sending us on the road. At National RV they took their time, explained everything. “National RV” maybe their name but they ended with a hometown handshake as we drove away with our new Zinger. Thank you for providing a better experience this time purchasing an RV. - Heather & Bill.
Alan Arico: Enjoyed every step of the purchasing process including working with our sales rep Anthony Ferrara and service rep Karl Schroeder. This team’s goal is to build a long term relationship with their buyers and it’s apparent from the day you walk into the dealership for the first time.
Matt Wilson: My wife & I purchased a new camper for our property up north. We could not be more happy with our experience. Tony took great care of us & answered any questions or concerns we had. All of the staff was friendly & made the process quick & simple. My family can’t thank you all enough!!!
Gilbert Lauro Jr: Very Communicative we are in California and he is in Michigan and the trailer got delivered with no problems, driver was very nice and knowledgeable. Crazy it was like buying a house without seeing it in person. He sent us videos of walk thru and pictures we are very happy with how it looks and can't wait to use it 😊 definitely a great upgrade from our last one. Thank you Tony Tumminello , thank you Joe in the finance department and also our delivery driver Richard holiday overall great experience 👍🏼 😀
rob creesy: Brought the trailer in for new tires, grease the wheel bearings, new toilet and roof sealing. They did a great job and quality work. Ready for camping 🏕 😎. Thanks again National RV Detroit.
Sarah Gates: Great place and people! Tony made the whole buying experience fast and easy. He was always available to answer questions and keep me up to date throughout the whole process. Highly recommend National RV Detroit and Tony to anyone looking to purchase an RV.
Dana Ouellette: Tony and his crew were wonderful and easy to work with! I would definitely recommend buying a camper from him! Thanks for a great experience, Tony!
Gale C: Went in to talk to someone about a rv. Stood there for 15 minutes. No one even acknowledged I was there. So I left
Zach Geisel: Purchased a new camper at the RV show. Got a great deal. Anthony was super helpful during the process. Great communication after the sale. Chris in the service department as well. Went over all my questions and made sure I was good before driving off the lot. Would highly recommend purchasing here.
Cory Spence: Tony was great and a big help with our first RV purchase. The purchase process was easy and painless. Service was great and very helpful at delivery
Ryan Martin: Tony is amazing! Never woulda thought he was a sales rep! He was not trying to sell us just anything to get a sale. He has been so patient with us and helping us look for a camper like if it were his own. Great guy all around! Very respectful and knowledgeable on campers. Plus he has a sweet office 😄
Angela Eveningred: We went and bought our 1st Camper from National RV Detroit, Belleville Michigan.. Everyone was super nice and walk us through everything. A very special shoutout to Christopher Rohde, service manager..He was very informative about everythingwe ask him. We want to thank you all very much.. We will spread the word... Thank you, Angela & Bill Eveningred
Courtney Gennari: I bought a brand new 2022 fifth wheel toy hauler in April of 2022 from this dealership. We have had a few issues with the camper since buying it, but we live 2 hours away from this dealership in Ohio, and use our camper very often, so trying to get it up there to have the issues fixed has been hard (not their fault but our own since we were still using the camper very often). We finally took the camper up there to be fixed and initially had to take things off of our repair list that would not be corrected/fixed, once told warranty might not cover the repairs. However, Chris the service manager called and was able to work with us and help to fix the issues we initially wanted corrected from the get go. We have had several issues since buying the camper from this dealership, but am glad to say they are willing to make it right with us and to correct any issues/concerns we had/have had with the camper in the past!!Everyone is human and makes mistakes, it is how you respond and make it right that is what matters in the end! Thank you National RV for acknowledging us as customer's and not just another sale!
Jackie Saylor: Tony and Joe were great, thank you for everything!
Princess Pepsi: Amazing! Hands down the best experience we have had. So good that it ended up getting our awesome sales guy Mike a larger sale than we had originally intended; We were so happy.(Previous dealership we had dealt with prior were far less superior )We made 1 phone call on a Monday explained what we were looking for, was sent an email of comparable options with photos from Mike, same day we drive to dealership to walk thru those trailers sent in email and 3hrs later we were walking out with a conditional sale that was scheduled to be pick up that THURSDAY!!Financing was a breeze with Jason; zero stress, zero pressure and zero rush to get us out the door. Every option was provided with zero judgmentWe were given the all the time we needed in every aspect of this experienceTOP NOTCH SALES, FINANCE & SERVICEHIGHLY RECOMMENDEDWELL DONE NATIONAL RV :-)
David Clements: I took my trailer in for a slide that wouldn't go out. I didn't realize that you have to push the button to see the fuse light flash. (telling me the fuse was blown). Cheryl and Chris showed me how to do it and now it is fixed. Leaving a happy camper!!Thank you so much
Arthur Bleau: We purchased a Ridgeline MesaRidge 5th wheel from the Belleville location. Everyone has been friendly and helpful. Anthony and Joe were great. But the service department has been excellent!! Christopher and Cheryl has taken the time to answer all our questions and show us how everything works. Their performance has been outstanding. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us.
jack winfree: I had issues with my camper leaking after one month of purchasing it. The service manager claimed it’s from normal use and said I’d be responsible for any service and diagnostic fees. It began leaking after the first use. Once they sell you a unit all customer service goes out the window.

General RV Center: what do users think?
Mat Dias: Your sales person, finance guy, Kelce, what ever her job was and Teresa, who taught me everything about my Camper, were friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and beyond professional.
Gary Caldwell: very helpful sales parts department,, really helpful big time... good prices..
David Letro: I am only a RV delivery driver and was treated like a customer. Thank you John and these front desk ladies for a great delivery experience.
Christopher Samuelson: I was lied to never will I ever buy anything from there or tell anybody to buy something from there
Jean Fitzgerald: Gave as a reference
AFFORDABLE SPRINKLERS: Great service
Mark McCormick: I recently purchased a camper from a private seller and was generally new to the camping world. I walked in the door and met Brian at the parts desk, he set me up with everything I needed (and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Everything was based off of his 40+ years in the camping world. Thier entire staff was friendly and helpful and made the process worth it. The expertise was worth the visit. Very much recommend, and ask for Brian. Great Guy.
Rose Mary (Rosie): Excellent service and attention from the moment I walked into the place. Quality beautiful RVs.
Paul Pauley: I went in there and bought a fifth wheel for $38,000 out the door. I went in there three years later and it looks like brand new and they offered me $10,000 cash out the door or told me they could take it on consignment for 15,000. I just sold it today for 22,000 on craigslist. I can’t believe they tried to lowball me like this. thanks for trying to help one of your good customers.
Robert Cramer: Great service department. Always available and work done properly and with a smile.
Cheryl Simpson: Quick & painless
Blane: I just work here
Ronald Winiarski: Great service and great communicationMy service advisor Chad kept me informed and took great care of my coach
Zeeshan Noor: Review On service Department. These days getting rv travel trailers serviced is the hardest thing. I realized a week before my trip that my new truck, travel trailer, was sagging down, and the truck was nose lifted. I called a few places close to where I store wait for two months. Called General RV in Brownstown, talked to Chad, and explained, and he agreed to help me the same day, which was like a miracle. Went there, and they took care of my hitch issues, and I was out in a few hours. What a service. My rv friends were surprised that they didn't give you a new hitch and fixed the old one. Chad was super helpful throughout the process. I will be going only here now.
David Gagnon: No inventory to review in the category I wished. No sales personnel available. All but maybe 2 were committed to a very small RV show 30 miles distant. Had to wait over 30 minutes for a helpful, but non-sales employee to walk us around (where earlier noted, there was no inventory for us to see.) Wasted a 100+ mile round trip. Unfortunate. GEN. RV must do better. Especially in today's climate.
Kevin Borrell: Do NOT do business with this company. They are unethical and will sell you a lemon. They don't care about you but care about the almighty dollar. They will charge you an exuberant fee for a "prep" but not fix anything and claim that you can have it fixed under warranty. They screw over disabled veterans and line their pockets with no consequences. The CEOs motto of "be better" is just words. They only care about money not about being better.
Bbook392: Excellent customer service
Adrienne Dalton: We have dealt with nothing but absolute unprofessional and non communitive people since trying to purchase from them! They told us on a Monday we could have our camper by Friday and that we would know something by the next day about our loan, it’s now Saturday I’m begging people to talk to my husband and I at this point, and hearing absolutely nothing! The financial guy Matthew will not help and will not answer the phone while he’s walking around doing nothing!! We paid money down to get our credit checked (not sure why) but also have not received anything back! To which we honestly feel like we’ve got scammed because we have a hard hit on our credit, no camper, and absolutely no one wants to make a deal!! Also the same camper being posted for 4k less than they could make a final deal on!! We’re furious go down the road to someone else!! If not get robin or Corey to fight for you because you’ll need it!!
jerry Forsythe: Scheduled an appt for 1030am, I got here and they said no record of course getting it winterized, but I asked if I could get the fluids checked when they did it, she told me that it would be 95 extra dollars just to have them check my fluids, needless to say they made me a customer of someone else after today, I am 2 hours in sitting here and still not done, never again
Joe Johnson: It sucked
Sandy Wiseman: Bought a 2015 Chaparral, nicer than the one we started out with!

General RV Center: what do users think?
dawn green: Went in to just look to get some prices, very high pressure and ended up leaving and going to another place to buy. Very pushy like a time share
thomas crunk: Always prompt to answer any question
Joseph Chauvin: General rv Mt. Clemens is by far one of the worst locations to go to. Customer service is always awful, their communication is just as bad. Yeah they’ll try and sell you a camper at a reasonable cost but after that have fun trying to get good quality work done on your camper. If there was a half of star i definitely would have put that.
Jako van Blerk: Salesman (Billy) was great. Customer service was great. Great experience all around. Thanks!
Rowdy Won: Products are VERY expensive.
Keith Bush: The entire staff has been great
Chris Johnson: They dropped and damaged our RV before delivery and didn't tell us until we arrived to take delivery. They did nothing to compensate for the damage except rudely say when asked if we can get some compensation due to the inconvenience of returning it to get fixed was, "we are fixing it for free, aren't we". Took over 6 months to get the parts then a month to repair it. They don't care about the customer once you leave the lot. Go elsewhere if you want customer service.
Kathy T: DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Horrible customer experience that did NOT need to happen. ZERO STARS! They have lost my trust.I put a $2000 deposit on a used TT and then scheduled an outside inspection. I found out by the inspector (I hired) that the TT was already sold to someone else. The money didn't reserve it. They blamed me for not being serious because I requested a outside inspection. They told my "money" is more important than their customers. So unethical, poor business practices and shocking..no return call from corporate. Good luck to the new owners for whatever issues they are trying to hide. It was all so unnecessary and a waste of others time. Just be open and upfront with people..it's shady and deceptive. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!NOT interested in your email or excuses. It's Friday and I have been trying to contact someone since Monday. My complaint was submitted to Store manager MONDAY.. so discuss this with your team. You lost my business.UPDATE: Went to RV One in Rochester and I'm happy with my purchase, got a newer model and paid less.
Patricia Odette: If I could give them a minus star review I would. DO NOT buy from them. They are the worse in every area. They told me to pick up my RV, I get there and it has wrapped doors, broken shade, no stopper in sink. Doors would not open. Just in horrible condition. Then they deliver it to me as they said it was all done, then to find out new doors were ordered and not put in. I brought it in to DE winterized at BrownstownRV and they told me that the water tank was never drained at the Mt. Clemons location and it burst, SO now that is being fixed. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION.
Judy Taylor: Beautiful new commercial. Hope to be a customer in the near future.
Michaelene George: Billy Grabowski was most helpful during my travel trailer buying experience. I found a listing on line and he walked me through the unit for a virtual tour and was easy and honest to work with during the entire transaction. Ask for him at General RV in Midland Michigan- it’s like having a relative in the business.
Casey Burg: We recently purchased our new travel trailer at General RV. Joe Oertel was our salesperson and we are SO happy with our purchase! Joe made the process super easy and stress-free and accomodated any concerns we had. He was always available to take our calls and checked in on us periodically throughout this process to make sure everything was going smooth. I have already recommended him to our family and friends that are looking to purchase a travel trailer/RV soon and would definitely 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to buy a new RV to go through Joe. Thank you General RV and thank you Joe for providing us with such a pleasant experience while purchasing our very first travel trailer! We love it and can't wait for summer!
Sam Daleo: Worst Service Ever. They make excuses for everything. They back their employees. It's like the Island of Miss Fit toys. And they expect you to except it with a smile. Sorry the excuse of "I have other customers"- Service writers favorite one. The so called Service Manager- "we are human and make mistakes" but yet they feel that is acceptable !!!I went above and beyond. I sent Forest River pictures, videos ect... before dropping off my unit. I included my Service writer on this. Walked my unit with the service writer while she put tape on everything there was an issue.Seal was bad on bedroom slide. Go to pick it up and they did the livingroom slide that had no issues.A simple cap for a faucet was broken. They had the part come in and they lost it. When I asked where it was the service writer says "I watched him install it" even though Forest River was not paying us for it. Then proceeded to say I don't understand why it keeps coming off. (Comical)If it came off again it would be right in the bathroom. Not gone !!!My unit was spotless when dropped off. I opened the door to inspect inside. Muddy feet prints all over. They can't even clean up after themselves.I guess if you don't care about your customers you should get out of the business.Anyone reading this should consider a new place to shop.If your looking to buy new shop some where that has good service reviews. If your just in need of service seriously look elsewhere.
Richard Makowiec: Casual readers visiting here, I'm not sure what's up with the couple low star reviews. We picked up our 5 year old diesel pusher from here today (bought it weeks ago). This place deserves 9 or 10 stars cause 5 is NOT enough. They surprised us with getting some recall work done. Surprised us with detailing and this 5 year old rig looks brand new. Joe in Service was an honest guy. Russ, the manager, was always there and never evaded us...he stops dead to talk when you see him and say, "excuse me"! The counter welcome staff were super polite. The delivery department lady (I forgot name and feel bad) she was super smiling and warm friendly kind of person:) Solomon in Finance was great and not pushy. We spent the most time with Joe in service explaining everything and wow, what a breath of good fresh Michigan air it was meeting this guy!I belong to a few fb camping groups. I just couldn't figure out why 9 of 10 bad rv dealer conversations revolved around CW and Lazy and hardly ever General RV. I understand why now. We didn't even try the other places because we were a little worried about the bad press. My wife and I are greatful we did business with General RV and no we did not get a discount, in store credit or a Visa gift card or anything from them to type a review like this...they simply earned it, fair & square:)My wife and I wish everyone well and thank you for reading this review:):):)
Tony Moussa: What a joke this place is. Especially the Hr department. I applied for a job thru Indeed and nothing. So I called an left a message with there Hr and still nothing but yet they constantly post that there hiring. When they need to rethink there Hr department officials and then they can probably get some good help.
maureen christian: General RV always comes through! Service writer Walt Zimmerman goes out of his way to make sure things are done right and communicates well with customers. We are always pleased with their service.
Shane Biehl: Horrible company! I wish I could give them ZERO stars! Once you purchase from them, good luck getting any questions answered! They just direct you to the next person or another general RV dealership. If you have issues with your RV be prepared to be without your RV for over a month! I we are looking to upgrade our RV to a Momentum, but not now! I can guarantee I will not be buying from General RV!
Dv Survivor: GREAT Costumer Service
Dennis Favret: Service is terrible rude service right up people
Jonathan Sacks: Salesman was friendly and helpful prepurchase as were employees at time of pickup albeit several times they asked for payment above that we agreed to prior to driving 6 hours to complete purchase. Ultimately they honored the quoted price. Trailer prep was most inadequate. One side of the sway/weight distribution hitch came uncoupled on second day of driving. Scary. Difficult to reach service to get help. Service mgr told me it was not installed correctly. I had to buy tools to fix myself at our campsite given we were stranded as General RV did not offer to address directly. A day later we experienced multiple system failures. Again, difficult to reach. The service person I finally reached told me he was unfamiliar with our Jayco unit and suggested I get a meter and test for continuity. It’s still broken days after. Our food and a critical med is trapped in the fridge, blocked by the inop slide. Seems the Jayco quality mantra and General RV promise to “Keep you camping” is not accurate. The list of defects that should have been addressed pre-purchase is now at 10 and counting. I’ll post again with update if/when they address.Jonathan SacksCEOPharmadva
Sarah Hanania: Got my rv winterized. Good service
