Very depressing but its a reminder to do you part and raise awareness!

There are also a lot of beautiful and architecturally interesting homes to see if you look across the lake or over your opposite shoulder. There are plenty of benches along the loop to take a seat to enjoy the scenery or read a book, etc.

Palmer Park: what do users think?
J Micallef: Beautiful park. Lots of nature to appreciate. I love the wavy rows of daffodils! Right across the street from my bestie's apartment, so it's a great place to take a stroll.I love that they have events there in the nice weather, like the art in the park.
Felicia: They are working on beautifying the park. It's still a lovely place to relax.
Brian T: The efforts to enhance the park system is evident here. Great facilities and not too busy during the day.
A Allen: Don't understand why they had to ruin the habitat for the geese, ducks, and deer by cutting the trees down on the islands inside the pond just to build a bridge. Black people can't have anything without some form of gentrification.
Brooke: Very interactive play scape, has adult exercise equipment close by, nice covered eating area.
Ureem Thumeim: Its beautiful place to sit and relax in the middle of town. Although it is going thru Lake remake in the middle and I hope it will turn out to be a great place to be.
Jamison Mosshart: Speaking just for the disc golf course: This course is great for all skill levels from MA4 up to MA1 - the longs are challenging and there are some 500'+ holes that really test your distance, well designed around a beautiful part of the park. It's rare I play a round here and don't see a deer.
timothy sullivan: Gonna be 5 stars when nature preserve is complete........
David Birch: solid disc golf course, tees not obvious at all hole.
Ty Townsend: Very difficult time locating the Detroit police Mounted patrol unit
Bryant Kern: Hate it
brian griffin: So awesome. One of the best parks in Michigan
Andrew Weirich: Went to disc golf. The park is great. A little wet but as to be expected in April. It’s nice to have this little slice of the great outdoors in the city. I have seen deer the last 2 out of 3 times visiting.
Shane Osnoe: Love Palmer park, lots of things to do disc golf, basketball, nature walks and different parks
Christina oswald: Nice trails to walk your dog on.
KD Dudley: We love this park. The fountain is amazing even though it’s not working. (Look up it’s history, we did!). Walk around the lake, swing on the bench, etc. it’s a beautiful outdoor space.
Vito Bellissimo: If you want fake food then go here other than that garbage. People just don't know what they're getting anymore none of the fish is actually real it's all fake and artificial.
Sarah Eberlein: Really nice park! We happened to be in Detroit so my fiancé wanted to check out the DGC here.
Infany CAIN: Very nice and clean
sLuG 207: A bit cold and "scary" but extremely fun if you go with friends
Eric Willis: I love going to Palmer Park, and I've been hanging out there for years. It's the LGBT park in Michigan. It's where the people of that community can and feel safe.

Rouge Gateway Trailhead: what do users think?
realbc7: Rouge Gateway Trailhead is a nice nature escape for walkers, rollerbladers, cyclists and mountain bikers. Teasing along the banks of the Rouge River there is a resurgent wildlife in the area. People will find all sorts of birds, raccoons, deer and vermin about. The path takes you by Henry and Clara Ford’s home, UM Dearborn Campus, and Henry Ford Community College. This trail works well for people wanting a longer run or bike into the Hines Park system and has decent parking at its start off Michigan Ave.
Shivanshu Patel: Recommended activities Walking, Running, Biking, Dog Walking Parking options Free parking lotMore
Julie Moore: Nice area but VERY close to the road, lots of traffic noise. We did get to see a few herons and some baby geese, so that was nice.Recommended activities Biking …More
Cele Calderon: the best place to hike.
Zayed AlShaddadi: Nice track for the family
ford henry: Nice trail. You should get up and go for a walk. Go to this trail now....
David Lew: This is a simple, easy, well-paved trail that is mostly gravel. It is flat with some gentle curves, as it follows along the tranquil river. It's good for running, gravel biking, hiking, and walking with a good doggo. There are a few trash bins along the trail.
Ryan: Been going here as a kid and now i get to take my kids it's beautiful and they keep making it nicer.
Stella Dyer: I would've loved to find the trail... maybe next time, but overall was beautiful
Susan Morgan: Such a wonderful place to explore. From Michigan Ave. to Hines Drive. Well light in the evenings by the HF college campus. The walks through the woods are clear with nice spaces to seek out in the woods.
FriedChicken: Nice trails in the middle of a city. You can walk all the way to UM campus and Henry Ford mansion. Better atmosphere during summer and fall. By the way there are quite a bit of trash build up on the banks of the river and beginning of the trails, Dearborn is close to Detroit.
Byron: A good walk but trail closed 1/2 way along. This made it half as long as it was supposed to be. Good that they didn’t close it 1/4 of the way since it would have been even shorter.
Adam Elsesser: A great blacktop walking/bike path. The trail is just over 2 miles with hills, parts through woods, over bridges, and great entry too Hines Drive.
Andrew: Nice place to take a walk. The trees are magnificent in the rain, and the river is glaringly beautiful. I wrote a haiku about it, in fact.Andiamo, thereA place with it all and moreI think I’ll go hike
Helen Sun: Kind of a random trailhead just off Michigan Ave on the outskirts of Dearborn. Parking is easy as long as you don’t miss the turn. Unfortunately the main part of the trail appears to be closed off for repairs right now so you only have access to the next street over. Still, an unexpected place of natural refuge to be surrounded by the trees and stream, though the sounds of cars passing by will remind you you’re not too far from civilization.
Hanan Nasser: A windy autumn day
Beth McConnell: Absolutely beautiful walk... Don't forget your bug spray
karar almohammed: Lots of mosquitoes is the only bad part
Hugo Alarcon: Nice for running
Leo Marcos: Didn't see any tigers , seen some turkeys tho
Kim Bruce: Absolutely an area “hidden” gem. Beautiful & interesting. While Dearborn has excellent “city” attractions, trails showcase the “natural” best & beauty that Dearborn has to offer.Technical: Very clean (litter free) & well maintained, but careful not to disturb natural state. No man-made museum/park-like manicuring here.Rolling blacktop & dirt. Some parts easy, some parts challenging - you have your options, you choose the trail. Whether it’s a short walk you desire, medium length run (“out & back on trailhead, or long run (trail takes you to out to Hines Drive where sky is limit for mileage), this trail system has it.All in all, near perfect (darn mosquitos!). Highly recommend. One visit & you’ll find yourself drawn to making many returns.
