Stephanie O'Callaghan: Since it opened, it’s been one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Always meets or exceeds expectations. Love the vibe, the decor, etc and more importantly love the food. It’s fresh and creative, flavorful and doesn’t sit heavy. I like the Mediterranean vibe but they don’t limit themselves creatively. The pastas are always phenomenal. The veggie dishes delicious and thoughtful. I love sitting at the chefs counter and watching them work the open fire and coal oven spaces. Great beverage list too! Highly recommend. I always stop here when I’m in the area.
Alex: One of the best dining experiences I've had in Michigan. Started off with the cocktail called immediate detour. I was pleasantly surprised how tasty the drink was given I'm usually underwhelmed by restaurant cocktails. The food was amazing. I was able to try the green salad, roasted broccoli, roasted pasnips, roasted potatoes, cacio e pepe, chittara, and beef tartare. All were excellent, but the pastas (cacio e pepe and chittara) and the roasted potatoes were my favorite. I tried the horchata tres leche cake for dessert. I've never tried this style of cake before and I wasn't a big fan, but it was good to try something new. I also tasted a bit of the pecan pie -- highly recommended. Looking forward to trying this place out again.

Todays Present: This was a perfect dining experience. Ryan is the best waiter. After coming here again, I will request him every time. He gives excellent recommendations and his descriptions ensure there are no surprises. I loved everything we had here. The sweet potato pasta and the mushrooms were my absolute favorite. The broccoli was great, but very spicy. The duck on toast was divine! The tri tip and the raspberry tart were just okay (I wouldn't order again). I enjoyed having the dining room reservation, the communal reservation would be too loud/close and not my type of experience. The scallops were spicy but irresistible. The hake is the only thing I’ve ever tried here that did not meet the standards of the rest of the food. It was mushy and inedible. I wasn’t told if this was a fluke or by design. But I would not recommend the hake.

Their behavior was racist and very upsetting— I will never return!! Must be new management — I did not see the folks who were always gracious and welcoming. Nicole T: Am I the only one confused by all these 4 star reviews?? I think it’s by childless millennial hipsters who think they are dining in an upscale Manhattan atmosphere. I found NOTHING about this place appealing - except the waitress who was very kind and attentive. The menu is extremely overpriced with froufrou stuff and small portions. And how are charging over $20 for vegetables?? $18 for some cooked cheese? Tiny little portions . We had 3 “‘meals” and shared 3 appetizers and still weren’t full. To top it off, I got extreme food poisoning from there. I don’t mind paying more for a good dinner, but at least include some sides and have more salad choices. Not very impressed in the least bit. Josh Levey: Excellent farm to table dining in midtown Detroit. Food is very high quality and unique, with interesting, distinct and delicious flavor pairings. Cocktails and drinks are also great. Several vegan and vegetarian options. We ordered the roasted carrots, the roasted broccoli, the roasted mushrooms, the cacio e pepe and the chittara. Everything was amazing. markallen: Highly recommended. If you are unfamiliar with the area you could drive right past it without knowing, but those in the "know" fill this establishment up. I ate there for the first time this past weekend and I was delighted with the quality and taste. The owner/chef is good humored and interacts with customers. Leonardo D.: This place has got to be the most underrated one in town; they deserve more attention from locals. They certainly have it from the James Beard team as they're nominated for Best Chef in 2023. And rightly so; we had the Zalouk with pita chips, the Moroccan Chicken sandwich, and the Lamb Tagine...all delicious and nicely executed. Omar the chef is the one front of the house making sure all guests are well explained of the menu, and cared for. Looking forward to stopping in soon.

The prices now don't match the product and the quality has never been lower. Todays Present: We loved our dinner here. And we really enjoyed the service. Brianna was a superb waitress. I appreciated that she has tried everything on the menu and was able to give helpful insight. She genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal and experience. The pasta with salmon was delicious! I really enjoyed the flavors and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The burger was very flavorful with the softest bun. The calamari was just okay...I wouldn't order it again. Mac and cheese was great and the brownies were the perfect treat especially warmed up! I would absolutely come again and recommend to others.

joe31400: I heard really good things about this place, but I had a terrible experience. First off, the waiter seemed very rude, didn’t seem like she wanted to be working. Her service was good, but she didn’t wanna talk, nor did she seem happy to be working. The chicken wing seemed to be old as they were very chewy, never once have I had chewy wings. The burgers that were ordered well done were also burned and my friend that ordered medium got his well done. The only thing I enjoyed here was the meatballs and the fires. Overall, the atmosphere is very nice inside, but the food wasn’t good for the price.
