Ron Reed: The mythical atmosphere alone is worth a visit.After a second visit to the Ghost Bar, it has now become a GO TO Detroit destination.The staff is exceptional. The talented piano player has a great attitude and is a lot of fun.Strongly suggest the stuffed portobello mushroom appetizer.

Chadd Corwin: EVERY TIME I’ve come here (and it’s been a lot over the years) great stories and memories have come from it. And yes, it IS haunted but not in a creepy way; chances are someone in your party will see something they can’t explain. (Last time a friend from out of town mentioned talking to the bathroom attendant -but they don’t have attendants!)If course the food is impeccable, yet they manage perfect service without seeming “stuffy”. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just dinner with some friends.

Ian Templeton: Very beautiful and surprisingly chill bar inside the Whitney mansion! The drinks are on the pricey side, but they are worth the price! I would suggest The Witching Hour if you like vodka. Even though The Whitney is a very formal restaurant, the bar is informal but in a very classy environment. If you’re looking for a great drinking experience in a place that makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time, this is the place to go! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Jameca Atkinson Palmer: The hype did not live up to it. Drinks were ok.. but the furniture is dirty. We sat at the bar. If I had been seated on the couches, I would have left. The lights are dim, so it's hard to see. But I will not return or recommend it.

Perri Love: Came here with my sister excited to try drinks in a beautiful setting, our waitress was PAIGE…she made the experience a bit dry, no smiling, didn’t check on us..we had to ask someone else to grab her as she was behind the bar doing nothing…I personally wouldn’t come back based on her attitude, however if you get another server this ambiance is cute.Drinks are decent. Super cute setting though.

Todays Present: We had a wonderful time getting drinks here before dinner. I loved that Sean is an excellent bartender that can make what I'm feeling/looking for even if it isn't on the menu. I would totally return here again and again to try something new. Even though we had a reservation, the space is small and it only takes 1 group (especially if they are loud) to really change the mood of the place.

Turns out Candy Bar is inside The Siren hotel, but by the time we figured that out, we were a little late for our rezzie. They were really nice though and it didn’t matter. Drinks were really great, about $15 each; no food. People were friendly, definitely recommend a rezzie as it is very small.

Luke Lordes: Drinks were amazing!! Most were about $16 so pricy but for a night out with friends very cool experience. The location is small so either reserve a spot or pray you somehow can get in. The host (male, dark hair, dark eyes) was the nicest! We got there when it wasn’t yet too busy and he sat us down right away and told us we could stay for an hour until the table which was reserved was needed. So he made it a great experience by being honest yet super friendly and accommodating.
Katie Tingle: The Hollywood Glam vibe is immaculate and the drinks are just slightly overpriced, making it the perfect place for one drink before heading out.
DeShaun Harris: Great little place hidden inside of the Shinola hotel. Great location and area, close to lots of other bars an hotels in the area. Nick was our bar tender and the waitress was a very nice lady with great suggestions. Our favorite was the one with the raspberry in it (tequila based), but tasted like cotton candy. Kyle Pucciarello: Worth it for the experience, not necessarily the drinks or service.We were lucky enough to visit some incredible cocktail places during our brief stay in Detroit, but everyone told us you have to try Candy Bar. Armed with a reservation, we arrived at 9pm and were ushered into the back of a hotel, making for a not-so-secret speakeasy sort of vibe.Oddly, for a gorgeous Saturday night, there were only six other people in the tiny, pink on pink bar. Which is actually what brings my rating, and our experience, down so low.Our first drinks didn't appear until nearly 25 minutes into our seating, already putting us at the halfway mark. When we asked about snacks, they didn't have much but we needed a little something - sadly, they never came, and we weren't checked in on until we asked for the check.With three people staffing this tiny bar filled with four couples, you would really expect better service. And, for the prices, it really wouldn't have been too much to ask.
