Eric Marcot: Favorite place to go be in nature. Mostly open field, but has a baseball diamond, small playground, and a nature trail. New trails throughout the park and a beautiful stick sculpture added in 2021.

Josh Kendall: This park is not maintained. Trash is everywhere. Grass is knee high and the trail is deteriorated. The drive around has craters so deep that you need a larger vehicle to keep from bottoming out. It has potential but seemingly far from it.

Carly Cenzer: Cool park, wish they maintained the full path better. Some parts were very over grown. Good walk for my dog. A lot of random cars posted up which sort of gives the park a weird vibe, but will go back.

Keith Pat: I was disappointed. It's been years since I've been here. The weeds were almost knee high and I don't think there was a single blade of actual grass. The whole park appeared run down and neglected. The view of the river is always beautiful, I liked the river walk area and working bathrooms are a nice touch.

Jerold Aulph: It's a great park for dogs to run. they need to replace the leash law signs with Karen's not allowed.. need to cover-up all the drains in the park so that in February water can freeze over and have ice between the trees and go ice skating between the trees. It's the most memorable thing I remember about Maxwell Park...2/3 of the original trees are gone... there was a time from the road you could not see the railroad tracks because there were so many trees... still all in all Maxwell Park is hands down the best park in Royal Oak.In the southwest corner of the park where all the play toys are they need to put a large fence around the whole area and call it manager play area that's what manager contributed was all those toys in the tennis court but the rest of part has naturally beautifully been there for ever.
Barb Bolton: It's a beautiful Park and we like to walk our dogs there in the early evening. Well maintained. we actually have a tree planted there from my father-in-law's 80th birthdays that we visit on our walks.

Duane Matlen: It's an elongated park. Much of it is tree shaded and is excellent for walking. The park itself is well maintained. There are mosquitoe warning signs, which I find rather displeasing. I suspect the mosquitoes come from the adjacent railroad right-of-way.

Zack Hale: It's a nice park with a decent area of big trees to walk through and some playground equipment on the corner. Good place to have a picnic or read a book. Only reason for 4 stars is their picnic tables are quite worn out and there could be more places to sit considering the park's size. So maybe bring your own chairs or a blanket but overall it's nice. They have a tennis court too.
