Doug Brode: As good as it gets! Gord built our deck, and a lot of our neighbours are sorry they didn't use Gord's company for theirs. We had our deck made with composite deck material, so there is no worry about all the extra maintenance required for a wooden ones. He came up with a lot of variations on what he could do. Great suggestions! There is another decking company that built a deck across the street. The deck the other guy built was 8 inches on his neighbour's property. Oops. Huge problem. And he had no permits either. Gord made sure we got our permits... before he started. ERCA and City of Windsor permits are required.And when our deck was getting finished, Gord and helpers were working in the snow and mud. In nasty winter weather.

Comartin: No very impressed with Gord. If a company is busy then why would you try to quote a job and leave the customer hanging for almost a month to get a design. He is not worth the aggravation. Typical contractor says one thing does another. Deck he desinged was not even close to what we wanted.

Steve Kandt: My 20+ year old wood deck needed replacement. I decided to go with a Trex deck but I also needed replacement of cedar stairway railings from my sun porch down to ground level. I'm an experienced homeowner and know the importance of picking the right contractor. I researched deck companies thoroughly starting with lists from Trex, Angi, and Mann's Lumber. I checked the overall ratings, and read a lot of the posted comments. From that I developed a list of six that I actually contacted. I settled on four that I invited to review the project and estimate the job. From there I chose Cedar Works and I couldn't be more impressed with the job they did in every way from start to finish. Robert, who met initially with me and developed the estimate was prompt, professional, and answered all of my questions. Once they began the work, I was amazed at how smoothly the different aspects of the job were perfectly orchestrated. Material drop off, refuse quickly picked up from the tear down of the old deck, including a separate pick up for the old glass inserts just happened without any reminders from me. Patrick and Michael, the two carpenters assigned to the job, were very efficient and their work on the deck and railings most importantly was first rate. Alissa Hurley: We planned to put new deck boards over our existing deck structure this summer and discovered an unusable structure upon pulling up the existing boards. A full deck build is well outside the scope of our capabilities so we threw in the towel and started calling around for deck quotes. Cedar Works responded more quickly to our initial inquiry than anyone else and had a quote for us soon after. They gave us a few ideas for the style/shape and we ultimately wound up pretty close to our original vision. It turned out even better than I imagined!
