ALL THE ADVERTISEMENTS ARE LIES TO ME MY EXPERIENCE IN PERSON AND OVER THE PHONE. The One On 75 ,I've had no experience with other locations, maybe they using their reviews. I called about stray cats, stray cat with litter and my original post was about my miniature Doberman whereas others have called and they responded, maybe the other locations

Detroit Animal Care and Control: what do users think?
Theresa Lecours: Great staff and volunteers adot don't shop
Denise Straksys: They were friendly and helpful we brought a injured squirrel but they don't take squirrels who are injured but they told us where we could go.
Chris Ropeman: Unorganized
mike murphy: I adopted kara last year
Todd Farrand: I truly admire the work the volunteers do.I could take home 1 or 2 pooches every time.
April W: The female that answers the phone needs to be trained in communication and customer service. Just because it’s “the city” does not mean ignorance is acceptable or going to be tolerated. Please hire someone who is compassionate and actually cares about abandoned animals. Do BETTER city of DETROIT. NOT Aaliyah ! She is really good.
Hadwan Hadwan: Staff is deplorable, completely disrespectful and unprofessional. Tried to bring in a stray dog before kids in the neighborhood get hurt or the dog gets hit by a car. Instead of directing me somewhere where I can take the dog they wanted to act like fools and try gotcha questions to just get you to leave, they could care less about the dogs well-being. Shame on them
Ty B.: I had found a pack of 5 dogs roaming the street and had called to see if they were able to help me catch them I was told it would take 24/48 hours to see any results and every time I put one in my car they would jump right back out
Emma: -100000000000000 stars. Called at 1130 am Monday. This lady was nasty as soon as she answered the call and I waited over 20 minutes in a queue. I have a rescue that will help me take in the dog, but apparently they don't help catch dogs you just make a "complaint" which I wasn't trying to do. And they come out within a few days to come get the dog.
Carolyn Stuart: Everyone there was amazing!
Reva Kovaleski: Ghetto none educated low class workers can’t go in came with 3 very sick kittens called before hand spoke to the people in the building not the call line was told I could bring them was refused to take them because my address is redford Detroit and not just Detroit then was told that I would be ticketed if I just left them by a boy with a little fro and glasses and a confused LITTLE BOY with 2 tone hair he was very angry, & irate screaming up and down the block. Walked up on me I have a video that I since made a police report on for him threatening me on. Was told by the police station legally they can not refuse a animal if they have room also was told that I would not receive a ticket if I had left Them the confused little boy was aggressive and I could have left them. All because his parents didn’t teach him respect now he is going to have a case. Because the police I am not allowed to share the photos and videos.
Eric Jackson: No response to my call about a stray dog I found.
LaDena Brantley: We had a stray cat in our garage that was in need of serious medical attention. We called them to come and get the cat for two days. They told us that they won't pick up the cat unless it was confined in a box or container. We took the necessary steps into confining the cat and call them back and told we did and to send them back to pickup the cat....they never came to get the cat. Unfortunately the cat died in container in our garage.
Shalene Owen: I have adopted two dogs 6 months apart. The latest dog in February. They have been the best dogs that I ever have had! The staff was awesome and very easy to work with. Please adopt, don't shop.
Sally Raphael: Thank you awesome service at the event. top notch from all the volunteers in finding my best friend.
AppleBear: Got a nice 2 yr old puppy. My daughter named him Star. Wasn't too happy that I wasn't allowed to walk through & see the doggies. I sat in a room & had to pick only 2 out of a catalog. Luckily I did pick an awesome tempered dog🐕
Eric Brooks: Friendly
Angelica G: The supervisor is rude and they do kill animals here
Amy Wood: Shout out to Detroit Animal Care and Control, especially Renena who on her personal time saved a Neighborhood loose dog that has been terrorizing many and running loose on a daily basis. What a shame that this is all because off very irresponsible owners. Prayers to all and THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lacina Davis: They didnt help at all
Leota Johnson: I'm so glad they are open 7 days a week. No way can I not register my dogs.

Detroit Health Department: what do users think?
Anwar Osborne (Brilliant Messenger): People were professional and friendly. Test results came within 20 minutes via e mail. And medication was free. Can't be that! Highly recommend!
Caleb Duchan: Got the after hours message at noon on a Wednesday?
Chxc Bxautiful: They never answer they phone or return voicemails like they say. Sad waste.
Lynn Jones: I’m trying to report a person being out and about with monkeypox and I can’t even get in touch with anyone to report this. I was hung up on the first time . The second time I got an after hours voice mail at 9:35am, and the hours of operation say they open 8am. Very unprofessional place. And 911 is no better . It’s sad I was unsuccessful contacting both and I can’t report a person putting so many people in danger right now. Horrible . You all need to do better. If I could give no starts I would
Eileen: How many dogs were killed at Detroit Animal Control yesterday perfectly healthy adoptable dogs because the promised new building never came to fruition. ?
Adam W: Giving this facility 5 stars because of RN Essie. Rarely ever meet a health care professional with so much enthusiasm and knowledge on the immunizations shes giving.
Celia Olushola Aluya: Nice and warm reception. Prompt attendance. Straight forward and Caring staff. Sanitized environment.
Angel Hernandez: I had an appointment here for my daughter at 2:00 Pm. I called twice at 1:00Pm, to inform them I'd be still going. However, when I called, the answering machine said they were close, when they don't close at that time. So thank God I didn't leave yet, because that would've wasted my time. Next time they need to make sure they will be open, instead of scheduling these appointments.
c murphy: I called the office today at 1:45pm no answer telling me that I have reached the office after hours but they close at 4:30 this is bull
Kimberley Carr: Good location but hard to get through to someone over the phone or anywhere near lunchtime
LeeAndria Hardison: Make sure u read paperwork before fill it out
christina lattner: I love the staff here. They are really helpful and always available. I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews, but my experience has always been exceptional!
R B: Great service! Personal very friendly.
Cd Wright: Just called Detroit health dept. went thru all the prompts to get where I need to go no one answers so get recording saying leave name and number for call back get mail box full. It is 10am.
Jessie Anthony: The department doesn't answer callsAnd then a recording proposes that you leave a messageAfter you leave the message it ask for an email nameIf you don't provide it ???
t holloway: This location is closed.
Mari Reyes: Customer service doesn't answer lines
Todd Scott: The city health department has been helpful in making biking and walking safer in the city.

Detroit Parks & Recreation: what do users think?
stephanie rollins: Zumba is a great way to get in shape try out the class for women only.
D Nalls: Volunteered through my place of work to pass food provided by Forgotten Harvest. It was pretty cool to help the community.
Jason Hollis: This place is no Gem of the city. The employees are rude and standoffish, The equipment is old and broken and no one knows the schedule to any events or gym times. Horrible needs new mgmt. That knows how to deal with customers. They should also tell you that most activities are strictly for SENIORS and KIDS ages 6-14! There is no free time or open gym or open pool time for people 18-64!!!! PLUS THE HOURS ON THE WEBSITE DON'T MATCH THE SCHDULE THEIR USING TODAY! Oh yeah the card machine is broken also so you can't be printed a membership card!
Dewey Boyd: Excellent facility for Detroit
Blaque Franklin: Make a left on Curtis if coming from 8 mile parking is in rear of building. This is for those who are not familiar with the area or the location. COVID testing is prompt. Everyone is friendly.
Roni: I loved it!
Merle Currie: Nice Place Go To.
Vicky: Beautiful facility.
Sociology Nut: Tried to get info on the Recreation Family membership by calling directly. The lady said to call back next week to see if they have opened the facilities back up.THEY HAVE BEEN CLOSED FOR YEARS NOW, NO POOL , GYM, WEIGHT ROOM, EXERCISE, BUT STILL ARE FULLY FUNDED BY PROPERTY TAX PAYING DETROIT HOMEOWNERS. Never let ghetto administrations run your city. They will charge you $5000 a year, then close all the recreation centers, libraries, public facilities while charging you for 3 years of full tax, but are pocketing the revenue. No wonder Detroit is a failed city, I'm getting TF out of Detroit, they ripoff their own residents.Remember Kwame and Bobby? Normal for ghetto government. After 59 yrs, I've seen Detroit become worthless junk.
Joi J.: Here, to get a covid test, it was quick and easy.
Kristal Love: Got tested and my vaccinations done quick. Thanks Everyone
Michele Rojas: Mom, Uncle and myself went for our final covid booster shots. I'm glad we chose this location. Everything was so well organized, staff and nurses knowledgeable and friendly. It made the process so much easier. Thank you everyone. 😊

Thick Onethick: No power it was closed today
John Davis: They represent the community very well for many levels everyone is professionally
Lexis Murray: Do northwest activety center have daycare therr
Walando Kenney: Wonderful place
Sandy LaCourse: Make sure you have a mask. They take your temperature upon arrival

Detroit Buildings & Safety: what do users think?
Montina: City of Detroit is sadly using BSEED to extort money from homeowners and investors. You will be fined first and questions asked never and no chance for a fair process.
Sam Hindo: Customer service is horrible. Not to mention how Disgusting it was to be fined over a thousand dollars and did not get a fair citation hearing . City of Detroit is money hungry , corrupt , and will milk you for every dollar you have , if you are reading this do not become a landlord in Detroit they are a bunch of clowns and take the tenants side.
PAUL RITZ: Keeping the City elevators safe.
Rick Man: City-County building need to make a lot of new changes to better serve their customers
odeesh odeesh: Horrible service every time I call nobody picks up the phone and when you go there in person the staff are very rude lazy, and not helpful at all. as a contractor I don't wanna do any work in Detroit no more
Lexa Gon: The Customer Service here is useless! One lady was literally whispering through the phone and I told her that I couldn't hear her and she still was whispering. I called again asking for help and the another lady was really rude and at the end she said she needed to take the next call and that I was using up her time! What in the world!? The people who are calling you guys have real problems and you're worried about your call time? Why is this place hiring unprofessional people?
Tom Jennings: About the dumbest people on the face of the earth. Pay a bill then they keep sending the same bill. Call down there and they say they straightened it out. Then they keep sending overdue notices referring it to their legal department. Idiots!!!
Carl: I thought Metro Detroit Property Management was just on bs about making repairs. Now it seems like you guys are as well because I called for someone to come out to do reinspection earlier this month for him to not come out and tell me “if I’m going to issue a ticket I don’t have to come back out” then I call today to see it he can do that without coming back out I’m told he can’t and it’s no tickets on file. So he lied to me plain as day for no reason.
Alexeis Espinosa: Horrible service - Called dozen times and I've been hung up on, left on hold for a long period of time without an answer. Once they answer, they leave me in total silence. The one time I managed to reach someone, I was told that it was the wrong department, although I clicked on the menu stating otherwise. I was then transferred and guess what.... it was the same extension.... this place is a nuthouse and is in prompt need of some organization. Total chaos! I would leave zero stars, but at least one star is required to be able to leave a review.
SHELLYB313: They did a good job whatever problem they were having I promise you it's A lot better thank you guys
Jessica Swanson: No one picks up the phone. Every number you call just directs you to another number.
Alexis S: Unprofessional, lazy incompetent staff. If you want anything done here you will have to contact a supervisor and even then you may not be so lucky. I actually had to file a complaint on the supervisor over the electrical division, scooter, for being so unprofessional when calling to complain about one of his inspectors! Took over a month for me to get an electrical permit approved! Save yourself the trouble and do business outside of Detroit
Raven *: Believe it or not, BSEED, phones are supposed to be answered. Why are appointments still being required with a dramatic dip in infection rates? How is such a department actually closed on a Friday? Big money could be held up be a Use of it. Why does a phone menu system have so many menu options in a single office? Just confusing. My call was ultimately dropped? I was told that I was being transferred to a correct department but then placed back at the start of the phone menu. Whyyyy City of Detroit?Sosubsequently, I actually visited in-person because I couldn't get a person to answer the phone or respond to am email. I entered a sitcom. I have never interacted with any establshment so bent on doing as little as possible. So first, as mentioned, the place does not respond to calls, emails or offer proper directions. Entering the City-County building where the office is located is maximum hassle. The building used to have 3 entrancesfor the public. The closed two if those leavong only the entrance furthest from any parking opened. The entrance closest to the closest parking structure is dedicated to employees-- roped off to the public.BSEED requires an appointment. On my way to the appointment, I was informed of a 10 minute delay by an automatic system after I had booked. There were no other appointments then booked. Weirdly, after the 10 minute update, I was asked by an auto text if I wanted more time. I saw a little traffic, so I responded, yep. The immediately reply back from the system was essentially, we can't accommodate. No more appointments. I decided to go still and alert the apparent auto system that I knew that there were appointments because I had checked before hand. No surprise through building and on the 5th floor where BSEED offices are located, vacant. On the 5th fllor, I didn't see or encounter another customer. On the third direction I apparently landed in the right place. I was there to challenge inspection fees that were being charged for a time we didnt own the property. I'll get to that. Before I arrived in the third place, I entered the second. Sign commanded, ring bell once. I rang. I could hear behind the divider across from counter where I was standing the conversation of the employees. They were discussing a TV show. I rang the bell again. They heard and scolded me. Then, after minutes, an employee from a different direction saunters over while in a conversation with another employee. He continues his conversation while I stand there while he discusses his personal home improvement project. "I need a wrench to get underneath a toilet or something," I heard him explain. Frustrated, I threw up my hands and/or sighed. Only then did he turn to me. I explained my issue and he did as city of detroit employees particularly love to do, sent me off to different personnel or point out some deficiency in whatever is presented, requiring a resident torequire u to return. This dude did the former. The next office did the latter. I was told I need to return with a copy of the deed to the property in order to challenge the prior fees. That's stupid. All they need to do is look up ownership chain which they themselves could look up on the very public and available grantor-grantee index and no doubt 5 other ways. Also, the City should assume the burden of the proof. One would think that assigning the right party the charge would increase the probably of payment. But, no. On our time and money no matter how little effort it would take them just to correct. So I asked the manager, Mr. Nunn, ilf a deed is going to be required to conduct business, shouldn't that be posted so people won't waste their time and money? No answer. Maybe, if u just pick.up phone, people could ask" Mr. Nunn responded with a trick question. The general number, I replied. He knows that people call the general number than go into the menu. So people cannot know the number to any specific area or person.
Matt Smith: Place is cray cray.
Jason Hawley: if they got more than one star the review is from someone who works there . main reason we dont work in deteoit
PJ Jonna: Everyone who works in the building, plan review, zoning, licensing, and dept. of civil rights inclusion/opportunity are AMAZING. They are great representatives of the city of Detroit working at the highest levels of professionalism and integrity. I have always been treated with respect while working with them and they are SOME OF THE MOST HELPFUL PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. THANK YOU!PS: Be patient while waiting for their help. They deal with an immense amount of people and they need time to properly address everyone.
Nat Zorach: Some really good people in this department. Some, not so much.
kiel ruso: This place has changed completely.. for the better!! Great customer service!! Waaayyy faster than before as well!.
Bryan DeHenau: Getting registered took a while, but once that was done, the process was fairly simple for a large city with lots of dangerous buildings with special needs. Future permits can be pulled Online, thats a first in the Metro Area.
Somethings Happening: Getting a permit here even for something as basic as a roof is horrible expect an entire day as well as a 25 dollar parking fee.It took me over 4 hrs to get a permit (both times in 5 years)and I thought I was prepared. The workers need a hospitality course(not everybody) ,i am hard of hearing, I felt like I was bothering people even going there for a permit.Upon arrival I told them what kind of permit I was here for. But for some reason I filled out forms i didn't even need to but was told to,then had to get them notarized lol by the time i made it to plan review they had no idea why someone would even want me to fill those out.the notary was rude and belittled me asked me where I'm from ? I said east side alot of shaking heads and rolling eyes after that ,questioned if I had the right ID if it was even me because she didn't like my signature .asking questions or stating opinions will not be tolerated. Going desk to desk for something 1 person could do is ridiculous these people will be getting pensions I will not? people chatting about what ever in hallways taking a break while you wait. If this was a business IT WOULD FAIL oh yeah it did one time before wasn't it the biggest bankruptcy in us history?I understand it's a big city. This is why alot of roofers just do the job in one day and dont get a permit
J L: Absolutely disgusting...rude and totally disrespectful employees, sitting around playing on phones and tablets while people wait, sent me to 10 different rooms and floors, then sent me to cubicle 15 for a plan review? Sat there for 15 minutes, finally asked what the deal was? Oh he's on lunch, u can wait or go...ya real nice. ANY other building department in ANY other city-- the employees are kind, curteous, helpful, and cognizant of the fact that people dont have time to waste...i cannot believe the stark difference between this place and ANY other building department. Still waiting at cubicle 15...time here 25 minutes, total time at building department, over 2 hours. (Any other bldg dept, e.g. livonia, your looking at 5-10 minutes max)
