We were able to go around 4:00pm which was the time when there were less people, and to be honest it was the best. If you wish to utilize the place for great pictures as well, make sure you either go super early or super late. All in all, amazing touristy thing to do.

The workshop instructor did not introduce herself just started talking and giving vague instructions. The instructor was not welcoming and was not professional on any level needless to say we walked out after 20mins. Wont be going back.

Jack Hoyle (Jack Hoyle Photography): The Scarab Club is easily one of my favourite event spaces to work in. Not only is it steeped in history, but the spaces they have are beautiful and unique. The staff are also really helpful and super friendly. I look forward to coming back.
The Original Motor City Ghost Hunters: Absolutely love it here
Jason Jones: I went to the cold water kitchen event. The Staff was great and that and love the garden outside.!
John Voymas: Artists club founded in 1907. Unique historic building with multiple galleries, classes, music events. Has artist studios on the third floor. A must visit!
TIFFANY MCCABE (Detroit Duchess): The scarab Club has been around for many years and is wonderful tribute to art and culture within the community. If you’re ever in the Museum District The, sure to check those hidden gem out.
Jason Gibbs: This is a cool historic resource for the art community in Detroit. They host a wide variety of art related events and show throughout the year.
Michal McConville: Planned an evening event with Scarab Club. My contact person was Judy who was incredibly kind, patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive! The event was perfect. Could not have been a better experience. Thank you!!
Moraine Chef: Cool place.
dave johnson: We pulled up to see the Scarab Club exhibits and immediately was confronted by a woman in the parking lot in a hostile manner. She asked if we were members, and she demanded to know why we were there. We answered we wanted to see the exhibit. She said "what exhibit"? We said the Scarab Club exhibits. Then she said there was a private event starting soon. She was not welcoming at all and wanted to make sure we left before the "important" people got there, not us rif raf. Her attitude was just awful. She identified herself as events manager, so we can only assume her name is Judy, by looking at the website. We won't be attending any of her events any time soon, if that's how she welcomes people to the Scarab Club.
P. M.: Dangerous steps rugs and unorganized. Just attended a wedding there. They didn't start setting up until guests were arriving. Ran around like they have never catered before. Do not use this place for an event. Rugs that tripped people dark stair cases. We had a guest fall from not being able to see the stairs. They had promised to light the stairs, but they also said they do this all the time! I would never recommend this for any event unless you are willing to accept inferior service and a dangerous building. Not impressed at all by this place.
Afford Coleman: Birthday party
Cecelia Rose LaPointe: Indigenous, Native American and First Nations erasure is not cool in art and competitions.
Pamela Smith: I only went there to clean my client's loft! Great view!
Ralph Perez: One of my favorite places to visit in Detroit. Amazing atmosphere, incredible art & history, and great people! I highly recommend you visit anytime you are in Detroit.
Nathaniel Janick: Though the gallery was small compared to the DIA across the street, the exhibit was excellently curated. The building and grounds are an exhibit in themselves. Worth a visit.
Geno Harris: This is a wonderfully creative space that showcases local Detroit Artists.
james spencer: Very cool history and overall environment
Adam Mitchell: Great place for the art community!
deidra stewart: Enjoyed the Black Woman Exhibition
Charese “Amazing Kinkz” Howard: Great place. Great Art exhibit today!

Would have perhaps liked a little more time to spend with the many exhibits but understand the demand for access. We were lucky enough to be in town for the Founders Day on the Sunday and had a great day watching live acts, including the Spinners and being in the presence of legends including Martha Reeves and George Curtis Cameron. Mr. Branham: Very very good museum. It used to be you could take a lot of pictures in there. Now you can't. However, it still worth the visit. It's amazing how so much music came out of such a small location, but again it's worth the visit. It won't be an all day visit just a couple hours. The very first time I went it was not a guided tour and now it is. They will ask you to do the temptation step at the end if you want to. Again, you used to be able to take as many pictures as you want. Now you can't. I'm glad that I had taken a lot of pictures many years ago.
Donille Ellis: Go for the tour and buy stuff! Amazing place. ❤️Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …More
