Photo Sensei: what do users think?
Ivory Gibson: My husband and I attended the Detroit Muse workshop this past Sunday. Our workshop instructor was Asia and she was great. She had a great sense of humor and did not mind answering questions, repeating info, or giving examples. It rained this particular day but that didn't stop our session. We walked around the museum and still got some good practice. As a result of the weather she even offered us the option to attend their upcoming Detroit night tour free of charge which we will be attending. This class was full of value and would recommend others!
Cryss Campbell: Asia and Photo Sensei are amazing! Hubby and I had a ball in our class. She makes it FUN and easy to learn. She is talented and professional. I now know what more of the settings on my phone do. Plus, I saw some beautiful parts of Detroit that they DON'T show on the news!I recommend a photography class with Photo Sensei for anyone as a creative date, a fun gift or just something new to do with a free evening. Thanks Asia. We had a great time and I'm SURE that we'll do it again.
Khamisi Benford: Photo Sensei showed me a side of Detroit that I hadn't seen before. The instructor is very knowledgeable and has great passion for photography. She also knows all of the cool ins and outs of the city. If you want to learn how to use your camera to the best of its ability AND take some awesome photographs make sure you sign up for this class. You won't regret it!
Hans Baran: Great class and tour. I leaned how to properly use my camera and got to see parts of Detroit that I did not know existed.

Darkroom Detroit: what do users think?
Rob Millard: Emailed them to see about donating equipment. Never heard from them. Poor!
Tami Duquette: I took the beginning photography workshop with Executive Director Javi a couple of weeks ago and this weekend I took a Photoshop Intensive with Don Werthman at Darkroom Detroit. Both of the workshops were very informative. Many workshops do not go very deep into the material, and these actually taught information that I hadn't figured out on my own. I highly recommend Darkroom Detroit!!

Motor City Photography Workshops: what do users think?
Dominic Stewart: Amazing tour. You get to see the coolest abandoned places and learn so much history. If there’s one thing to do in Detroit, make it this tour.
Sandi C: Really enjoyed our tour! The guides were very informative , showed us a few local highlights and then we went to three separate sites to take photos and walk around. Would highly recommend if you enjoy photography and/or old building and urban exploration.
Alicia Soret: Jesse was fantastic! He was prompt, courteous, and very informative! He took the time to share some history about each stop we made, as well as give us some fun facts along the way. It is obvious that he is passionate about what he does. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour he gave, and would definitely come back and take another with him. If you want to see the real Detroit (the good, bad, and what's possible!), and get some great photos along the way, please try and book a tour with Jesse!!
Oren Darling: Excellent tour with great details about history and current events mixed into it. There was a lot of freedom to wander at each location, but he also warned us when there were particular details about a place that could pose risks. I would highly recommend this tour.
Emma K: One of the best things I've ever done - a mind-blowing tour! The tour was meant to be only a few hours but Jesse gave us over seven - we saw an abandoned school, church, radio station and car factory and it was just the BEST.
David Strathy-Miller: I can't stop thinking about this tour. Absolutely incredible locations, great relaxed pace and the perfect balance between the history, guided paths through the buildings and freedom to explore. Jesse is a great Detroit host and seems like a great Detroit citizen as well!
Pia Gandolfo: Great Tour!! Took us to some interesting buildings, and also drove us around town to areas we'd never have seen on our own. Highly recommend!
Nancy C: Fantastic tour! Picked us up at our hotel and gave our group a length tour of amazing urban sites. Was also a fantastic way to see parts of the city that a typical tour would never take you. Highly recommended!

Detroit Photography Training: what do users think?
T Roland: The teaching was very specific and thorough. You can't go wrong with this one on one teaching method. The class space was clean, comfortable and user friendly for demonstrating the settings of my camera.
Matthew Konieczny: I had a one on one session with Tony and in a few hours gained a much better understanding of my camera settings and a great Lightroom workflow! I have tried those YouTube videos and other on line methods but nothing compares with a knowledgeable instructor who can take the time for personal instruction. Well worth the time and money!
Michael Griffin (MMCG Adventures): Tony was an amazing teacher, I took a class at Detroit Photography Training with Tony and learned so much. If you’re completely new to photography, I could see some of the topics being difficult to grasp but Tony made the concepts easier for me to understand. I have had some experience through the years with topics such as aperture, ISO, shutter speed, etc., but the organization of the material was helpful to reinforce some of what I knew, fill in gaps, and correct misconceptions. It was also nice having someone knowledgeable on various pieces of equipment, so even if you have some experience but are switching gear, you may find that Detroit Photography Training is the place to be.Anyways, if you’re in doubt, just call and you will not be disappointed. The class is a great value. I strongly recommend it !! I can't thank you enough Tony , every time I pick up my camera now, I can hear your voice instructing me step by step!! lol
Niki K: Had my 1st section with Tony yesterday and it was great. He taught me and my friend everything we need to learn about our camera, the settings, how to take great photos with it. Showed us his work, and he’s an amazing photographer. The session was worth every penny and I learned a lot and I can’t wait to put that knowledge into use
Nenad Zivojnov: Great experience!Thank you so much !!!
Jennine Hynes: I had a three hour session with Tony. I had tried to learn the basics from youtube videos, but that is definitely not how i best learn. Tony helped me to easily understand what i need to know to get started in photography. He is kind, very knowledgeable and professional and I look forward to booking another session a few months down the road.
Michael Owens: Awesome experience. Tony is an excellent teacher. Me being a beginner in photography, Tony was very precised and detailed in explaining to me this wonderful craft. Thank you for preparing me for my journey into photography. I would definitely recommend that anyone interested in photography, take his class. A solid foundation to start on.
Frank Treece: My wife and I are so happy we decided to take a class from Tony. You won't be disappointed ,Tony takes his time and answers all your questions.
Dayna Euring: Great for those who want to know the basics and the proper way to use a camera. Highly recommend.
Jennifer yousif: I am so happy to have stumbled upon Tony's website! I am a new photographer with a basic understanding of my lighting gear and camera settings. However, I really needed someone who could teach me little more in depth to step my photos up that much more.I took the one on one beginners course. I had been looking for a way to train with someone one on one and I loved that experience very much! Tony was SO knowledgable. I felt like I could talk to him about photography for hours on end. I left there really feeling like I had learned exactly what I needed to learn. Tony does a phenomenal job of breaking the info down in a very easy to understand format and his visuals made the information he was teaching that much easier to understand. If you're just starting out in the photography world, I highly recommend you taking this course! I also love that Tony offers to help if I have any questions in the future.
Retro Soul Girl: My name's Brianna. I took a beginner class 1 month ago- and I waited so long to write a review because I really wanted to practice everything I learned before giving an in-depth review. Wow. I learned everything I needed to in just 3 hours and I could not be anymore happy with my skills, my potential and my LIFE because of this class. Tony explained everything SO simply, and wrote it all down which was very helpful because I have ADHD. I saved the notes in my camera bag in case, but I never needed to see them yet. I was able to retain everything he taught me because it was so simplified. He makes photography SO fun and not scary at all. Best of all, I have already been able to talk to other professional photographers and understand their "camera talk" right away. No more wondering what anything they say means. I'm so confident when talking photos and I can't believe how much I've grown in 1 month because of this class. And my photos are turning out MARVELOUS! I know exactly what I need to do to adjust my exposure. I'm still slow at it but improving every day. I bought the nifty-fifty lens that Tony recommended me. If it weren't for his recommendation, I don't know what I would do because this lens is the best thing I've ever bought in my entire life. My photos turn out perfect from the start, and I have never had to use photoshop to fix them- I don't plan to ever again. All I can say is that if I need more training I will be back again because his class was SO worth any price. Plus he's just a REALLY good teacher. You will see what I mean when you book a class yourself!
Asaya Israel: Great Understanding and great first experience.
Rebecca Piazza: I can't thank Tony enough. I took a one-on-one beginner's class with him and came in knowing absolutely nothing. He explained some of the buttons and settings specific to my camera model to me, and gave me an EXCELLENT foundation in the basics of photography. Leaving my lesson, I had a great understanding of the exposure triangle and was able to start practicing right away. I am leaps and bounds ahead of other beginners I see, who still struggle to understand the basics. And since my lesson, he's always been there ready and willing to offer advice via phone/text whenever I have questions. Thanks again!
Deshawn Flood: Tony was a great teacher. He showed me physical verbally as well as in writtern and drawing all concepts of not only my camera and how to better operate it to get to the images I wanted. He gave excellent example's to many situations that I will come in contact with far as customer's, post processing and the business end. He answers any and all questions no matter if there beggeners questions or advance. He gave great suggestions on equipment not just for starting out but he gave suggested items that were need and that I can grow with along my journey. Reasonably priced! Its worth every penny one on one is like a master class on 100. But don't let that word you off he explains everything so simply and will go deeper if need be.
Savannah Salisbury: He is very patient and welcoming, I understood everything he said and he provided great examples as well. I loved every second and can tell he is passionate about photography
Lisa: I had the distinct pleasure to meet Tony and spent some 1-1 training with him. I considered myself a good novice user of my Nikon 5300 camera, but after his training.....I'm ready to take on the photo world. He's very thorough & detailed and the time spent is well worth the money. And he has an amazing studio! Highly recommend!!
Kyle Donato: Great teacher! Spends as much time as you need with him and I learned a lot from his class. I would recommend him to anyone looking to make the most out of their camera!
dani B: Signed up my daughter for beginner photography class...she loved it & learned alot from Tony....definitely recommend😎
Janine Tryban: Had a great experience! Tony did an amazing job giving a photography lesson to our American Heritage Girls troop. He is a very talented photographer and excellent at explaining photography even to beginners. Highly recommended!
Miriam Ishak: Great instructor! I signed up for a one-on -one instruction session with Tony and learned so much. Tony finds out where you are and what you need to know and customizes the instruction to help you get the most out of it! He makes sure you understand the theory and technical aspects, but also the hands-on application. I really feel like I walked away with a strong working knowledge of the basics of photography as well as how to apply the techniques to improve my own photography. Tony is truly a highly skilled photographer! I highly recommend!
Moustafa Cheaiteli: I had a course a few years ago on flash, it was very well taught to me and honestly inspired me alot to develop my photography. Today I can barely photographe without using the tips and lessons I had learned! I am so grateful and thankful to have had this amazing opportunity! Keep up the amazing work amd cant wait to come back some day for another more advanced course!!

DSDT a Detroit School for Digital Technology: what do users think?
Omar Portillo: Save your benefits if you are military. Instructors are good but the career counselors are trash. I scheduled 3 appointments and all 3 they failed to call. They also bring people into courses they shouldn't be in due to their lack of knowledge. In my program I was the only student with IT experience. The rest of the class was clueless. I spent a lot of time outside of class coaching and mentoring students from my class just to get them caught up on the basics.
Cody Barnhart: Made me stay in Detroit. I love this place
James Lott III: Great place to learn Digital Technology.😊👍
Walter Wadlington: Very good school, friendly staff and instructors. People who know their stuff.
jim Shel: Great
Aaron Moss: If you're coming home from the joint and interested in computers. Come here!
Loretta Wilson: The staff really cares and will go out of their way to assist; the staff are very supportive and kind. It's a joy to be a student at DSDT.
Monroe Galloway: An amazing school to attend with great people, deeply experienced teachers and a great atmosphere for learning. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get an in depth education involving technology.
Gemini Visions Infinty: An awesome experience Detroit can use to expand and current business owners in the world of technology. Thanks again for the opportunity.
izaya veri: Great. Really Great! Super Great!
Asher Shelton: Great staff, Good Information and awesome hands on training!
D-Ra Heru: I love the experience! I always wanted to be a graphic artist & this is the only school in the city that I can achieve my goal. I love the people here & the creative energies!
Chris Crupi: Hey! let me tell you that this school is one of its kind! The training is "hands on" some of the most exciting that I've ever experienced and the instructors are top notch! If you have a talent whether it is an artist, video production or an interest in the I.T. field, this class has a spot for you!It is in a market all of its own and make no mistake if you want to enhance your knowledge in the latest technology field, this IS the place to be!DSDT is the future of Detroit! Much success!
Kyle Carrington: DSDT. Is a great school for any one looking to gain knowledge about technology. They have a wide range of programs to offer that can help you in any field of IT. Im also taking class at DSDT and i love it everyone is knowledgeable and very helpful. If your in the Detroit area and looking for schooling for technology DSDT is the place to be.
curtis jemison: Amazing
Einmalig001: If any Veteran or Civilian wants to attend a no nonsense school of Digital Technology DSDT is the school for you! Not only does this school offer training to become highly employable, it will also increase your entrepreneurial edge! Stop in for a free tour today!
Marisol Sanchez: This is the best school for film , photography and audio in my opinion. I came in here not knowing a thing about my camera and I graduated making music videos , getting booked for photoshoots , special events etc.. Everyone in here makes me feel so great about myself . They make me feel like I can do something great with my work & that's something I've always needed in my life. My self confidence has been boosted. I can say I work doing something I've loved and have gotten hired by one of the greatest directors in Detroit . I got my certificate in only a couple months and I still come to school on my free time to talk to students , help with projects and work with my teacher Brandon. Attending this school has made me into a more self confident , independent woman & I'm so excited for what my talent and career has in store for me in the future.
Panoramic View Films: Great School! Excellent Hands On Film Production Classes, Great Instructors, Friendly Staff!!! I Love My School!!
Tasha Marchbank: All that glitters is not gold. I went through the program for graphic design, tuition paid for by Michigan Works. And for the cost of tuition (about 4 to 5 thousand dollars) this program is not long enough and the curriculum is not laid out for you to follow thru on paper. everything is mainly visual and verbal. To much to take in for a beginner in such short time (4weeks). I am a novice and i do not know anymore about graphic designing than i did when i started the program. I am self taught Photoshop and i guess ill be self taught on everything else as well. SMH. The certificate I feel is useless with out an client to use it for. I feel like i wasted my grant on the wrong program. I went into this thinking i would have employment in the field i loved by the end of the program. And sadly that is not the case. Staff are winging it and ill prepared in some cases. School has no leads for students after course completion.
Karlos Harris: The technology is amazing and the instructors are the most knowledgeable in the D.
