I've brought so many loved ones, family and friends here, and they are always blown away at the food, kind and energetic service, and OFCOURSE the atmosphere! Loved it before the renovation, and love it after! The pizza is fresh.... not the oh yeah it's fresh... I mean... FRESH. it's authentic, flavorful, crust is perfect, many options to choose from. IF YOU GO HERE... YOU NEED TO TRY THE CANOLI! if you don't ... you are 100% missing out on a great experience! Lines are always out the door so expect a wait.

Sebastian Murphy: I once had this review on here proudly rating buddies as the greatest pizza ever. I have been coming to Buddy's since I was 12 years old, I am now about to be 45. Me and my best friend. Every birthday. The Thrill is gone, it's gone, it's gone, it's gone. Buddy's has now become completely corporate. Once upon a time, we will get a pizza with ground beef, and they would actually make the ground beef season it and put it on the pizza. Now they have reduced to the frozen beef balls that are on any pizza you can get at any basic run of the mill mildly decent pizza place. They are no longer great. The thrill has been destroyed. The pizza almost tasted like nothing. They stopped using pizza sauce, opting for marinara sauce, which is a completely different consistency altogether, and a different flavor. Marinara sauce works better for things like cheese sticks. Not to be put on pizza. I am now severely disappointed and, unfortunately, will never be going back to Buddy's for a birthday or for any other reason at all. What we once loved about buddies does not exist anymore. They are now taking Frozen Foods, heating them up and putting them on pizza. This is at the iconic 6 Mile location. It hurts me to say that it is absolutely over. But it is absolutely over. I can't believe one of the most flavorful pizzas that ever existed now almost tastes like Styrofoam with a little cheese.

Mark Rozenberg: They're closing in a few days and I heard great things about the pies. If you go they may be short-staffed so be patient. The reason my review is low is food and service. I gave them a nice tip on my credit card but somehow they entered a larger tip amount. I'll be calling them. Next, the pies were undercooked. I checked the underside and it looked OK but I should have asked or sent them back. They have a limited menu so make you know what you're ordering. I think one of the pies went to another table and I got theirs by mistake. I heard that for a time it was great but I'm not concerned about going back. They had a good idea but it didn't last.
Amber Nadira: The pizza was good. The wine was great. The special was sold out. I didn't know it was karaoke night though. Music from karaoke was playing as well as like a spotify playlist so the noise was a bit distracting. Otherwise I had no problem getting seated. The food came really quickly. The servers were generally helpful. I would come here again.

Ron W: Bit of a let down since I read so many great reviews. We decided to try authentic Neapolitan pizza after watching "The Pizza Show" series on TV and seeing what is required to be certified.Our 2 pizzas unfortunately didn't look as good as the others I've seen in reviews or Google images for Pizzaplex. Burnt crust beyond normal Neapolitan stole some enjoyment. Pizza flavor was good, the crust that wasn't over cooked was tasty. Cheese wasn't melted very well making it difficult to get the full experience.The tiramisu, although flavorful, was not as pictured either. Unfortunately it was eaten by the person that ordered it before I could get a picture.Friendly staff, nice interior, fair pricing. Glad we tried it, likely won't make the 20 minute drive for another. My review is overall based on 3 people's opinion and 2 pizzas and a dessert.In all fairness, every place should get 2 tries to determine overall quality. I would NOT tell anyone else not to give it a try first.They get an extra star for being good stewards in the neighborhood. It's nice to see the area making a rebound.
Matt: Best pizza in the h00d. Been grabbing pizza from here since they opened. I've been tearing the diavola up while my wife has been going through the one covered in porcini mushrooms. Seems like they cycle through employees rather often so don't let one lackluster food experience turn you against the place , once they hit a stride, they absolutely kill it.

Chris Barish: Overall a bit disappointed. By the reviews I was expecting to be knocked off my feet.Still good pizza. Good texture around the crust. Fresh ingredients. Not greasy.Biggest gripe is the sauce was a bit bland. Definitely under seasoned but was also lacking any zip. The Packard Pepperoni comes with some honey on it which I feel would have been great if there was some acidity to counterbalance the sweetness. Instead it was more of a 1 note flavor throughout.All that said my pizza also looked different from other pictures. Cheese came up halfway to crust top and pizza was like a half inch thick. Not really Detroit style. Automate Trade show is in town so maybe I just caught them on a bad night.Oh and the size is definitely more of a personal pizza (maybe if it was like pictures it wouldn’t be).

Amanda S: The wait was overall about half hour until our food came. When we walked in it was wait to be seated. We were acknowledged within five minutes after we entered. The ordering process was not great...we ordered on a scan app and we had to pay immediately even before service.the gentlemen at the front was very friendly and explained everything to us. Lots of different waitress and waiters staff working with you so you didn't know who to ask for help. There was definitely some commotion with other guests seated on how to use the app and where their food was it seemed there was an option to order directly with a waitress or with the app the orders that were direct came faster than with the app. I wish we would have known that. The cheese bread was good, lots of flavor but needed at least two more minutes of cooking. The Pizza we got was Hawaiian and it was Amazing! Just perfect. Beer and drinks came super fast so that was nice. The tables were very small, could barley fit our pizza and cheese bread on it. It seems there were different size table options but since it was just the two of us we were given a smaller table. They come to clean up the table almost as soon as you put on your coats! Making room for more people I am sure! There are two bars and lots of TVs. Over all a good experience and I'll be coming back ☺️

Carcelia Williams: I currently work at LCA and wanted to order chicken wings, I was going pay for them and then come back and pick them up to eat while at work. The young man that work there told me I could not order due to others not coming back to pick orders. I have many times in the past have ordered while at work and it was an a success . After working all day in the same building people should be able to eat while on break and not be treated like we can’t or won’t pay for Chicken .
Carly Walters: The food was fine but the service was absolute garbage. QR code ordering, we were not offered an option to have a server. We got a pizza put in our table that wasn't ours, then 15 minutes later when our pizzas came up we told the food runner it wasn't ours and they gave it to the proper table. No one that worked there knew the table numbers and were constantly delivering it to wrong tables and asking people around who ordered what. This must be a fairly new establishment.

John Hana: Pizza was fantastic, we tried the garlic chicken and the Hawaiian style pizza.
